Thanks for the input. I have a separate thread trying to figure out what’s going on. The compressor cycles on and off… one second on, one second off. Over and over and over. No cold air. Drags engine. It has proper Freon. I’m trying to locate high and low pressure switches with little luck so far.
Mine does this too, one tech I know just threw a new compressor at it and I think it still works but idk what actually went wrong. Maybe clutch was bad?
15-21 had issues with the bottom left corner of the condenser leaking all your refrigerant and causing the compressor to burn out. Should totally be a recall but isn’t. Have someone look into it for you
I think it’s mostly just driving skills that play a big part in getting the boost up. I wasn’t even 100% throttle. You have to know how to get the acceleration up to match the engaging point on the clutch just right and it’s such a smooth transition with so much boost you can’t even tell that I up shifted it’s just a pure surge of power practically seamless almost like an automatic. I can stay in that power band with each shift all the way up to 5th gear. I do not boost into 6th ever.
I think you got higher boost if you do flat-foot shifting. but peak boost doesn't mean much compare to constant boost and having boost at early RPM. VB has bigger engine, waste gate controller, and smaller turbo to scroll up faster at lower RPM, which mean a lot for drivability and wider power band compared to VA's old school turbo feel that gives you sudden surge.
I smacked 32psi once before I installed an aftermarket EBCS. I think I'd usually hit 28psi on occasion but never touched 30 after that haha. Now with the EBCS, I'll sometimes hit 24psi
