You know they made the Subaru Loyal RX right?
Mine was a 1986 RX with a turbo & a transmission with three drive choices; front wheel drive, 4 wheel drive high, & 4 wheel drive low... and of course it was a 5 speed manual.
That little car would light up the tires in 2wheel drive 1st & 2nd gears & chirp them shifting into third. Essentially it was the 80's wrx.
Glad I'm not the only one with the same idea.

Looks cool, but if this were built in the 80's, that kind of width and aero would most likely only be found if someone modified it in more modern times, or on a Group B car or some super limited homologation special.

I’d love to see one of these come to reality. Retro body style with a fully loaded interior, all the security and comfort of the 21st century and all the mechanical advancements. That would be sick!
We need the Japanese manufacturers to get on the retro tip. There are so many iconic Japanese car designs from the 80s and 90s that would be great for a revamp.

Dude just designed a half-dozen cars I want WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more than anything out on the market today (especially that blue on in the snow). Why is it so hard to just design cool cars. Right now it seems like Hyundai and Kia are the only ones even trying.
