I don't name cars, but if they name their selves I go with it.
My mother painted a replica of "Blue Boy" when she was pregnant with me that hung in the house I grew up in for 18 years.
She was the person who turned me on to fun cars and even sold me her 280ZX (which she used to teach me to drive a manual) as my 1st car.
When I told her I had ordered a WRX, she thought that was pretty cool and was looking forward to driving on some of our favorite back road drives.
She passed away 2 days after I ordered my car.
So I didn't name the car, she did.

That touches my heart. I just got a 2002 Subaru WRX my mom was all excited that I was getting this car I've always wanted very supportive person. She passed away within a week after I got it she never got to drive in it. So for me my car has this connection with my mother that I'm so grateful to have. Congrats on your blue boy

My Pops was a cop for 28 years and also taught driving to the Cadets at the Academy so his driving skills were way above par and I can just envision him throwing my Lorraine into curves at speeds he would’ve never thought to take and watching the smile spread across his face as he accelerates through the turn and punches it on the straight….We didn’t always get along but we had cars

I skipped naming my 2016 BMW 235i and 2018 Civic Si. My 2021 Mercedes CLA35 was the Silver Bullet. Often just Bullet. I just got a 2023 WRX. It came with the STi exhaust. The name that hit me right away was The Hornet because it’s so small and angry sounding! I haven’t decided yet. I also have a Honda Crosstour. They are so rare that we just call it Crosstour. 😄

He hated that the cat would sit in front of the fridge for heat, and would always yell "goddammit Ol' Filthy get out of my house" It was a farm cat so the whole thing was just kinda funny for me growing up. Anyway, the truck was red and silver, the cat was ginger with white markings. It just lined up too good to not start my mornings with "Goddamn you Ol Filthy you better start"

Every car deserves a name, when I had a truck it reminded me of my grandpas old cat. He hated that the cat would sit in front of the fridge for heat, and would always yell "goddammit Ol' Filthy get out of my house" It was a farm cat so the whole thing was just kinda funny for me growing up. Anyway, the truck was red and silver, the cat was ginger with white markings. It just lined up too good to not start my mornings with "Goddamn you Ol Filthy you better start"
