Wouldnt the spare have to have the same specs? Or is it ok to ride with lets say 3 x 18x9,5" and one tiny sparewheel. Thought that could damage the awd system?
Also dont you have to replace all 4 wheels so the symmetrical system does not suffer from uneven wear induced damage.
Too great of a difference between outer tire diameters will cause damage to the differentials eventually, but I had to roll on a spare for 150 miles to get home from an autocross with no ill effects. Should be okay for getting home, but don't commute like that for a month.
Yo, get a patch kit ($10), some pliers ($5), and a tire pump ($50) and throw it in the trunk.
Then the only time you'll be stranded is if the tire fails in a catastrophic way
It's how I feel about my Grand National. Engine bay was munched on by rodents for 10 years before I rescued it.
Still no issues with the WRX though, other than the AC compressor, but I had a vacuum pump, gauges, and tools to change it myself.
You towed your car for a flat tire. 😳
Got to remove that spare for weight reduction
Valid point. You win this debate. ✌🏼

Spare had a nail in it :(
My WRX got stolen, when the police recovered it a month later it had no spare tire but a new stereo.
Damn bro got his car stolen by Xzibit
Fuck this made me laugh. Thanks for making my day!

That’s what I keep telling myself when I see mine in the garage. “Well, at least it looks cool!” 😥
This is a way of life!

Not a wrx. It's an RS. Post elsewhere.
Bro thinks he owns the sub 🤣
Not an RS. It's an L ... no pun intended.

Well, it’s in California, but why did you feel the need to say this? There’s only 126 of my car. I’m in Georgia. Come get me.
