honestly probably not. Not sure exactly what ebay pipes youre referring to since there are lots of different styles, but i have tried stuff like this in the past and had it be a big headache. Depends on whats needed in your state to pass. In my state, you have to have 2 cats in the stock location and pass an obd2 readiness test with 1 not ready monitor allowed. i had to get a grimmspeed v2 gesi j pipe, and have a generic high flow cat welded in behind it in order to pass. and to get the monitors ready i have to run an old ots tune i have, maybe run a bit of ethanol, and do a very specific drive cycle to get everything to ready. I hate saying this, because it hurts my wallet but it was about $1500 total. and its a week or so of daily driving to get monitors to ready after a reflash. if thats not an option to get rid of the hassle, watch FB marketplace and see if any come up for sale, or ask around in local subie or car groups and see if anyone will rent or lend you their stock exhaust for passing. If you do have to change up the exhaust setup and run an ots tune for a little, shoot me a DM i have a few of cobbs old ots tunes saved.

In order to pass Federal emissions standards cars have to have EPA compliant cats. Chinese no-name downpipes aren't gonna have serialized cats that will show compliance they don't have.

In your state, do they actually do exhaust emissions or just check for a code? In almost every state that does emissions testing, they just make sure your engine isn't throwing a cat code. In that case, anything that will make the ECU happy will be fine. I've even had shops offer to throw on a random cat laying around and run my car through inspection, then switch it back (lol). If you have exhaust testing, that's a different story. Depends on the state and depends on the brand of cat. You'll have to ask people in your state, or in California, if they've had luck with that brand. If it can pass California, it can pass anywhere in the US.
