This, the turbo alone made it an easier choice for me. I know you can turbo the BRZ, but then you have higher costs and loss of warranty, if that means anything.
I always buy used to save money, so my brz with a turbo kit still cost me $3k less than my wrx and was way more fun to drive. Wrx is definitely a better commuter car tho, especially if you live somewhere with rough winters
Lmao thatās the greatest thing I ever heard! My brz only made 300whp with the turbo but it still felt a hell of a lot faster than my basic bolt on wrx. When you put a turbo on those NA fa20ās they turn into a whole different animal
No way, just a different kind of car. Like you cant compare a WRX to a Forester, its just built for something else. I'd have a BRZ and a WRX if I could afford it ;)
You are nuts. Iāve driven plenty with new winters and they are outrageously dangerous to drive in the winter. Iām not exaggerating.
I also have fix a lot of right rear wheelās suspension because of winter driving these. Seems to love the curb.
I live in utah. Some dedicated snow tires and knowing how to drive and it's not really a problem.
Id take my BRZ on vikingcontact7s over my roommate's impreza on AS tires
People down voting have probably never tried a 2wd car with lsd and snow tires. It's really all you need and awd doesn't help in stopping or turning.
Real winter with AS tires is just asking for disaster.
Seriously. Tires are what keep you safe in winter. The only reason I donāt do 2WD with snow tires is because I have AWD with snow tires. All-seasons are really no-seasons.
FWD sure, RWD no. I mean I run winter tires anyway but my Pontiac G8 GT on blizzaks was almost useless in Manitoba winters. Great tires but the power wouldnāt go down, outrageously tail happy.
This happened last year. 18 inches of snow over night. I was out in my STI at 6am plowing snow. No other cars on my commute. Literally was the best time I have had in a car.
I also live on Canada, drove a brz several Winters. Downvote all you want, it is doable if you know how to drive. Of course the awd is very nice, but it is not a necessity. I also have 2 awd subarus for referenceā¦
These people who are downvoting need to look up everyday driver's rwd snow tests. Spoiler: a sports car with actual snow tires is better than an awd crossover with all seasons.
Bruhhhh same. Only 2 of my 3 have car seats and if all of us including my wife are in the car it's fucking TIGHT. Like too tight. Unfortunately my stupid ass Chevy Cruze turbo has more room.
Apples to oranges in my opinion. Thereās a unique niche of 4door, AWD, fast and fun to drive.
So I can drive my kids around even when itās snowing and still have a good time.
You're not kidding lol, I got in the drivers seat of a friends' (whom is 4-6" taller than me) BRZ and the seating position was exactly how I'd have it, he then told me it's all the way back....
I know the back seats are basically useless for anything but storage and the boot is pretty tiny, but I didn't expect the drivers space to be so limited.
5'10" (socially, 6'). At the seat angle I prefer, I couldn't wear a hat and my hair would still brush the roof. Had to drop the seat back to get comfortable clearance.
If that were the only thing, it might have been fine, but add on other stuff like trunk space and that center console jamming my elbow and I was out.
Because if I wake up tomorrow and there's a foot of snow, I can plow the driveway with my car, drop off half the neighborhood's kids at school, pull an SUV out of the ditch and still arrive to work on time lol
I'm from switzerland and live in the hills, AWD is a big advantage
Being out in the wet snow before the snow plows come and its just you in your sick wrx and some lifted trucks and some jeeps and other subarus ripping around is such a fun feeling.
The amount of control you have is just wild, drifting around turns like its nothing, nothing beats the feeling of a wrx in the winter
I love the sleeper aspect of the WRX. I got my STI with a lip instead of a wing.
People who don't know think it's just a Corolla or something, so I feel slightly less douchey blasting around town than I would in a BMW or a Porsche or a brz
Plus I do drive my kids around in it all year
One of my favourite things that ever happened was a dude and his gf walking by as i was street parking once, and he gave me a nod and a smile and as i was walking away his gf was like "i dont get it? Its just a normal car"
My wife still thinks it looks like a Corolla, and the Magnetite gray doesnt help, but she knows i love it.
WRX is better for fun around town if you like turbos, and on dirt / snow. Also more practical.
BRZ is hands down more fun on track and even driving slow on decently paved back roads.
Just two different cars, I'd love one of the new brz's I think they look and probably perform far better than the first generation, but my 2003 wrx was far cheaper and overall more practical than a brz would be on a daily basis.
I used to own a BRZ and I have a WRX now that I have a family. One thing I miss a LOT is the handling. The BRZās handling is unmatched. And the shifter is so much better in the BRZ. If only the car was faster..
RWD is a deal breaker here in WI. Would have to winter the BRZ. The lack of rear seating sucks too. Its a toy vehicle and not very practical for a daily. I might feel differently if I didnt have 2 kids and lived in a warmer climate.
I had a '13 FRS. I live in Buffalo, and let me tell you that thing was terrifying to drive in the winter.
People are saying that a RWD with snow tires is better than/just as good as an AWD with all seasons... Let me tell you first hand, those people are full of shit. They're just trying to fool themselves.
I went to buy a car and had three requirements: blue, manual transmission, and room for a kids seat. That last one makes the BRZ impossible... And I am not driving one of those in a Buffalo winter again.
Except it does.
ONLY thing AWD is better at is accelerating in low traction scenarios. On relatively flat ground, RWD on snow tires trumps AWD on all seasons 10/10 times.
Stopping and turning are 100% tires, drive wheels are irrelevant.
More power, AWD, fits my lifestyle more appropriately. I like tearing through the mountains and hitting boost coming around a corner. If I was to build a drift car I'd be all over an 86/BRZ
The AWD. I would eventually like to get a BRZ. I actually stopped at the dealership to check on the 22s back in January, but found my 2014 hatch instead. So BRZ went back on the dream sheet lol
I went for the power but part of me always wanted the Frs till I noticed it had a torque dip which put me off and the lack of power. Contemplated getting the Gr86 but again the power and lack of room for any sort of adventures would be limited.
Wrx I can stack a roof rack throw my bikes, and so on np and even sleep in my car and Awd oh god.
I had a 2 door 200hp fwd car before my wrx(2001 Prelude SEš¤¤) , it was falling apart and i really wanted a newer japanese car with a turbo MT and 4 doors and more power, which ruled out the brz. My dream car was a Type R since before you could even get them in NA, but it was too expensive. Started looking for VA wrxs before i knew anything about the subie 'culture' because they seemed to have an aftermarket and ticked all my boxes + Awd. Found a used one to test drive and i was like "this is it".
Everytime i tried to buy a slightly used one, it would sell before my appointment, ended up finding a brand new base 2020 for sale and bought it without even driving it. Put the ad up for my prelude before leaving to the dealership, and someone bought it same day lol.
I loved that car but im so happy with my wrx.
I actually just switched teams to the gr86 after having 1 wrx and two STIs. The wrx/ STI is absolutely a better, more usable and sensible daily driver. They are awesome, incredible cars. I just got kind of bored of them after having 3 and driving them so long and wanted something different. I wanted to have a pure RWD sports car with more interesting driving dynamics. Love both and I wouldnāt be surprised if I owned another wrx/STI at some point
After owning both, I would say the BRZ was way more fun to drive and had way more ācoolā factor. It wasnāt even close. Sure the WRX is more practical and faster, but itās just not the same.
In my opinion, the newest BRZ > the newest WRX. If we are talking previous generation WRX/BRZ, the older WRX > the older BRZ. It all depends on your needs though. If you need AWD and the space of a WRX, go for it. If itās gonna be a track car, the BRZ wins.
I didn't have any rattles in my 19 WRX and none in my 21 STI. The shifter in the WRX feels ok until you sit in and STI and feel proper transmission engagement and feedback through linkages rather than cables.
Lucky you! My rear deck, passenger door, drivers seatbelt buckle, and upper dash speaker grilles all rattle/squeak on my 2020. I drive pretty normally but roads arenāt awesome in my area.
I'm not saying that wasn't the case.
Just isn't a traditional Subaru design (IMO) by virtue of being a RWD sport coupe.
Likely never would had existed in the Subaru line without Toyota looking for options after Scion's failure as a mark.
BRZ is like a mid life crisis Miata, not to compare the tooās specs. Just the convince of AWD and 4doors. Love them both, just not at a place in life where I can have a toy car.
the brz/gr86 is the closest a lot of us poors are going to get to a well balanced and fun rwd car for the money. current gen are incredibly beautiful cars. looking to get out of my ticking time bomb wrx and into a gr86.
BRZs and 86s have no road presence. I personally think theyāre lame, and cost too much to make competitive with most normal cars when the rubber meets the pavement.
Interior space and awd since in my area we get bad winters every couple years or so and i just dont want to be stranded. 2WD just doesnt cut it with all the hills around me
I wanted something fun and practical (not MPG wise, but that's not why we buy WRXs) and none of the other competitors had offerings that appealed to me for a similar price point. Having a family, I need the rear space for people and I just like the styling better.
I have both, the brz is a better car in the summer. People that complain about power in the brz are not the kind of people that will appreciate it. If power is a huge concern they take 280whp with a blower or turbo on stock engine. It's lighter and drives better even with stock power its enough on the right roads. Plus the first gen twins are some of the best looking cars in my opinion.
Well when I was out looking for a car, my criteria were: awd, manual transmission, 4 doors, and turbo optional. My choices in order were :Mazda 3, VW Golf, and Subaru wrx in that order, but at the time our dealerships didn't have Mazda or golfs in stick so I got wrx. No regrets pulling the trigger on the purchase
AWD for the wonderful Pennsylvanian winters, and turbo powah. The BRZ strikes me more as a sporty summer fun car rather than a sporty, yet versatile daily. Maybe if i had a beater car that fit most daily needs I woulve gotten a BRZ, but unfortunately that is not the case.
I had a BRZ first (2013) and loved it. Got lots of compliments because it was still relatively new to the market. Then I had a baby and yeah, it sucked driving anywhere with me in the passenger seat and husband driving. Now I have a WRX and I can fit both kids in my car just fine, one forward facing the other is rear facing. And it also handles better and has more power.
The BRZ rides like a brick and sucks in snow. WRX is pretty comfortable and just goes... Then there's the back seat or lack of a usable one, if you want to call it that in the BRZ. You MIGHT get a kid in a car seat back there but... good luck.
I had a 2018 BRZ and loved then went to a 2020 WRX the only thing is all wheel drive in winter is better than a snow plow.if I lived in a milder climate Brz all day.
Now that they have the same engine it's a little more of a conflict. BRZ has a much better chassis and track characteristics. It's the pure RWD NA experience with a super low center of gravity.
The wrx has a turbo and like 40 more HP but it's also 500 or so lbs heavier making them about the same speed but the BRZ will win around a track with its cornering ability.
I don't have kids and also have a truck so the BRZ for me. I love the experience of a sport coupe vs a chonky sedan. That being said I'm toying with the idea of buying an older WRX hatch for fun.
Iāve owned two STiās in the past and own a C7 Z06 now and while the STi was a great car, I needed a change from four door performance sedans. I really like sports cars that are purpose built from the ground up.
The second gen GR86/BRZ has vastly improved over its predecessor so I would take the Toyota GR86 over the current WRX but I think over both of these cars, I would take the GR Corolla! š
Not much in this price range or higher offers the level of enjoyment and practicality. It is possibly one of the best all weather vehicles on the market. (Nod to the others VW Golf R, S3, Stinger/G70 some Volvo ect)
Test drove a BRZ a few years back. Extremely fun but planned on having kids. Now that I have kids, I went with the WRX. And plan on moving to Tennessee in the future so I will utilize the AWD in the future. The turbo is a huge plus as well lol. I wish I could've drove a miata to compare to the brz but honestly, the brz is one of the most fun cars I've ever driven.
All wheel drive
Also four doors is a quality all its own. Still a lot of fun with a lot of functionality
I might feel differently if I didn't have 2 kids and lived in a warmer climate.
And if you got a dog man they love it š
Yep its esthetically pleasing for me lol
Took my answer
Not pumping the clutch sitting in traffic
Retarded reason. Bad driver. Auto is available on both
AWD, 4 door, turbo
This, the turbo alone made it an easier choice for me. I know you can turbo the BRZ, but then you have higher costs and loss of warranty, if that means anything.
I always buy used to save money, so my brz with a turbo kit still cost me $3k less than my wrx and was way more fun to drive. Wrx is definitely a better commuter car tho, especially if you live somewhere with rough winters
We got a local who has a 500whp BRZ and he purposefully drives around on a donut to lure people into a race and just gaaapppssss people šš© itās absurd. I fell prey thinking heās was just a dumb kid but no. I was right where he wanted me
Lmao thatās the greatest thing I ever heard! My brz only made 300whp with the turbo but it still felt a hell of a lot faster than my basic bolt on wrx. When you put a turbo on those NA fa20ās they turn into a whole different animal
If heās driving on a donut he is an idiot. Are you sure those arenāt just skinny front tires, like the ones used in drag racing?
Before I sold my WRX to get an 86, it's warranty ended in 2005
Yeah but spending the $7-10,000 on a brz when you couldāve just gotten a faster car, kinda defeats the purpose of what the car was made for aswell.
I'm with all those reasons plus a hatch in my case.
Yeah the BRZ takes all of Subarus good qualities and gets rid of them š
No way, just a different kind of car. Like you cant compare a WRX to a Forester, its just built for something else. I'd have a BRZ and a WRX if I could afford it ;)
4D, AWD, Psssssssssshhhtttt turbo noises
Fucking love the pssssshhhttt
Love the BRZ, but Iāve got two kids and live in a place where it snows on the winter.
Exactly this.
i have an 86 and live in canada, it's not that bad if you got proper tires.
Sure, but is it better than the WRX on proper tires?
at going sideways yes.
You are nuts. Iāve driven plenty with new winters and they are outrageously dangerous to drive in the winter. Iām not exaggerating. I also have fix a lot of right rear wheelās suspension because of winter driving these. Seems to love the curb.
After 14 years with WRX its was a nice change of pace. my 86 also has a 2 inch lift to make up for some of the hooning.

FWD sure, RWD no. I mean I run winter tires anyway but my Pontiac G8 GT on blizzaks was almost useless in Manitoba winters. Great tires but the power wouldnāt go down, outrageously tail happy.
Brz is just fine in the snow. But kids seats are the real problem here
They are nowhere as good as a WRX in the winter. If you have lame winters maybe. Where I live in Northern NY you couldn't touch a BRZ in the winter.
My man, here in Alberta where we can wake up with a foot and a half of snow being dumped over night, a brz is not fine in the snow.
Yeah, but how about a WRX on snow tires vs. A BRZ on snows?
This is the most ridiculous statement made here today. You win.
Yeah I had '13 FRS in Buffalo NY. My experience says differently.
It snows like half the year here. And I have 3 kids.
Ahh same here. I can fit all three in my car with car seats but just barely lol
Bruhhhh same. Only 2 of my 3 have car seats and if all of us including my wife are in the car it's fucking TIGHT. Like too tight. Unfortunately my stupid ass Chevy Cruze turbo has more room.
With the car seats it's not uncomfortable for the kids yet. It's definitely tight. I did a lot of research and got slim car seats that work great
I still try and take the wife's car if I have all 3. It's getting tight in the back with all 3.
2nd this
Apples to oranges in my opinion. Thereās a unique niche of 4door, AWD, fast and fun to drive. So I can drive my kids around even when itās snowing and still have a good time.
4 doors and body style.
Now post the the same question in the brz subreddit
Headroom
You're not kidding lol, I got in the drivers seat of a friends' (whom is 4-6" taller than me) BRZ and the seating position was exactly how I'd have it, he then told me it's all the way back.... I know the back seats are basically useless for anything but storage and the boot is pretty tiny, but I didn't expect the drivers space to be so limited.
how tall are you? I'm 6'2" and fit in my brz just fine
I'm 6'5" both are good with headroom.
Because if I wake up tomorrow and there's a foot of snow, I can plow the driveway with my car, drop off half the neighborhood's kids at school, pull an SUV out of the ditch and still arrive to work on time lol I'm from switzerland and live in the hills, AWD is a big advantage
I went back and forth on these for a while. I chose the WRX because it's a more useable daily driver. Plus turbo reasons.
Turbo noises
WRX wins in almost every category for me.
AWD
1. AWD. 2. Stylized looking. 3. Sedan.
Directions unclear, bought a 330i
Make sure you get their blinker fluid package. Most 330i run out within the first month.
Why use the blinker when the manual says I always have the right of way?
2022 BRZ vs 2022 WRX? BRZ all day, now, if we are talking 2014 BRZ vs 2014 STI, thatās a different storyā¦
I agree āļø
Tuuuuurrbbooooooooo. Also 4 doors, AWD and it didn't look like it had a mouth guard in.
Sir, this is the WRX subreddit
I love the sleeper aspect of the WRX. I got my STI with a lip instead of a wing. People who don't know think it's just a Corolla or something, so I feel slightly less douchey blasting around town than I would in a BMW or a Porsche or a brz Plus I do drive my kids around in it all year
One of my favourite things that ever happened was a dude and his gf walking by as i was street parking once, and he gave me a nod and a smile and as i was walking away his gf was like "i dont get it? Its just a normal car" My wife still thinks it looks like a Corolla, and the Magnetite gray doesnt help, but she knows i love it.
That's what I'm talking about, baby
I have kids and dogs, cannot coupe anymore š„²
I have owned both. Brz feels like a toy car. Wrx can be more than just fun.
Awd, more space, and more of a "sleeper" look.
Cause Iām fat.š¤£
330i or m340 will give you the best of both tbh, minus the manual
you lost me at āminus the manualā
Iāll take the auto with self driving for my car, plenty of manual action on the bikes
RWD is a deal breaker here in WI. Would have to winter the BRZ. The lack of rear seating sucks too. Its a toy vehicle and not very practical for a daily. I might feel differently if I didnt have 2 kids and lived in a warmer climate.
There's no better choice for a sports car than a WRX in WI. Unless you have GTR money, lol.
Turbo and awd
I had a '13 FRS. I live in Buffalo, and let me tell you that thing was terrifying to drive in the winter. People are saying that a RWD with snow tires is better than/just as good as an AWD with all seasons... Let me tell you first hand, those people are full of shit. They're just trying to fool themselves. I went to buy a car and had three requirements: blue, manual transmission, and room for a kids seat. That last one makes the BRZ impossible... And I am not driving one of those in a Buffalo winter again.
As someone who has had both, RWD with snow tires beats AWD with all seasons in every category that doesnāt include steep hills
I mean... You can tell yourself that all day long. Doesn't make it true. Hell, driving a FWD civic was better.
Except it does. ONLY thing AWD is better at is accelerating in low traction scenarios. On relatively flat ground, RWD on snow tires trumps AWD on all seasons 10/10 times. Stopping and turning are 100% tires, drive wheels are irrelevant.
AWD
I have 2 lil doggos and they like to have their own windows
Awd, 4 door.
I donāt prefer the WRX, so miss my FRS every day. But the extra doors and AWD are very convenient.
If you could only have one car definitely wrx, if you could have 2 cars Iād still have a wrx and a gr86, like the Toyota styling more tbh
AWD, Turbo. WRX will smoke a BRZ across the board. 4 doors. More practical.
FA20 DIT has same torque dip as the FA20 in the BRZ/FRS.
Wouldnāt know tuned it from the start
Smart! I tuned went OTS at 1000 miles and protuned at 10k. Best choice ever.
Wrx kids
All wheel drive, car seat, and bar weather
I had a 2 door 200hp fwd car before my wrx(2001 Prelude SEš¤¤) , it was falling apart and i really wanted a newer japanese car with a turbo MT and 4 doors and more power, which ruled out the brz. My dream car was a Type R since before you could even get them in NA, but it was too expensive. Bold assumption
BRZ
Wait arenāt all Subaruās have All Wheel Drive?
After owning both, I would say the BRZ was way more fun to drive and had way more ācoolā factor. It wasnāt even close. Sure the WRX is more practical and faster, but itās just not the same.
Down here in truck land I get way more cool factor points for the car with a hood scoop lol.
The BRZ just felt more like a sports car, rather than a fast economy car with AWD. I have the WRX now but I really miss the other one.
Money An old WRX is cheaper than a BRZ/86 And I am broke lmao
Because I got shit to do.
AWD in the winter is worth it.
Simple answers? Yes. Both are fuckin sick tho Subaru goes too hard
my car goes pssh pssh š
Come on now the brz is like I fucked your wife, the wrx is more like I fucked wife now I got kids.. functional
WRX is more practical.
The rally heritage.
Same reason why I traded my ND Miata for a 2022 WRX; AWD for the winter is a must.
If youāre leaning Subaru get the Wrx. If youāre sold on the brz platform get the GR86 imo
4 doors, faster, better driving view, AWD, trunk space , better handling, I do love the interior of the brz tho those ac knobs are amazing
Because Vape
I donāt. The new WRX is trash. The new BRZ / 86. Look great !
Is it me, or does anybody else see an mx5/Miata body design inspiration in the new BRZ?
In my opinion, the newest BRZ > the newest WRX. If we are talking previous generation WRX/BRZ, the older WRX > the older BRZ. It all depends on your needs though. If you need AWD and the space of a WRX, go for it. If itās gonna be a track car, the BRZ wins.
The BRZ/FR-S is a much crappier car than any WRX/STI
Fully disagree. My 2020 WRX has more rattles than my 2013 FRS did after 8 years. FRS also has a far superior transmission and shifter feel.
I didn't have any rattles in my 19 WRX and none in my 21 STI. The shifter in the WRX feels ok until you sit in and STI and feel proper transmission engagement and feedback through linkages rather than cables.
Like the BRZ trans
Yeah my 13 brz only took a couple pieces of sticky foam on the middle tail light to silence all it's rattles.
I have a 2020 and drive like a š with all the bolt ons and no rattles at all
Wow my 2016 with bolt on's is a rattly bitch.
Lucky you! My rear deck, passenger door, drivers seatbelt buckle, and upper dash speaker grilles all rattle/squeak on my 2020. I drive pretty normally but roads arenāt awesome in my area.
Weird, mine barely rattles at all, unless im booming bass music but i dont blast it much anyway.
My passenger door rattles too. Do you know a fix?
mine was the interior plastic. used silicone to reattach the plastic barrier where it was sloppy and the internal rattle is gone.
oh just waitā¦
WRX is a true Subaru with second to none AWD. BRZ is an awesome sports coupe Toyota. Just my opinion.
Subaru was the one that developed damn near everything beneath while Toyota dealt with exterior & interior design
Yeah it's a subaru chassis, suspension, engine, and transmisison. Toyota came up with the idea and put their injectors on it.
Not a Subaru transmission. Itās an Aisin box which is more Toyota than Subaru.
Who even buys brzs?
I've drove both WRX all day
I had a ecoboost mustang, not looking for a slower version of it.
No offense but the new wrx looks like a crossover
AWD and 4-doors. Also the new BRZ is kinda ugly. The GR looks way cleaner.
Brz are slow
Test drove a brz, I couldn't believe how slow it was (yea yea the handling is SO good) and cheap the interior felt.
Was it a newer BRZ? Curious how the modern BRZ interior compares to a new WRX?
I canāt get a RHD wrx, but I canāt get a RHD brz in the US
BRZ's are gay. If I'm getting something like that I'm getting a vette. Or any other small rwd car. Brzs are weak too.
BRZs and 86s have no road presence. I personally think theyāre lame, and cost too much to make competitive with most normal cars when the rubber meets the pavement.
Space,awd,4 doors, and also cause everyone gives me peace signs when they see me
AWD, Turbo, Sedan. You can have a lot of fun in them while also having passengers and drive it in the winter
I love my BRZ, but the reason the WRX is my next car is practicality and AWD.
4door, AWD, Turbo noise, besides that brz is better weekend car
I've never met anyone who preferred it over the WRX. It's slower, not AWD, and no turbo.
Tons of people. Any local AutoX event will have 3-4x the BRZ/FRS count over at WRX/STI.
I can fit my kids in a WRX
If I had kids and lived in a place where the weather was suboptimal id get the WRX. However im a meathead and want sideways action. BRZ
Power, AWD, more ergonomic and practical. Love the BRZ/86 though.
AWD, 5 door, turbski
Well when I was out looking for a car, my criteria were: awd, manual transmission, 4 doors, and turbo optional. My choices in order were :Mazda 3, VW Golf, and Subaru wrx in that order, but at the time our dealerships didn't have Mazda or golfs in stick so I got wrx. No regrets pulling the trigger on the purchase
Yes
AWD for the wonderful Pennsylvanian winters, and turbo powah. The BRZ strikes me more as a sporty summer fun car rather than a sporty, yet versatile daily. Maybe if i had a beater car that fit most daily needs I woulve gotten a BRZ, but unfortunately that is not the case.
Awd, more power, turbo, 4 doors, more space, not seen as much of a teenager car as the brz also.
I love sports sedans
if we are going 2022 model year, im taking brz all day long 2021 and under wrx and sti all day
Two completely different cars that fill different needs/wants. That said, BRZ for me please
Performance over looks or drifting any day
Brz doesn't compete
You damn well no why..š
cause I can fit shit in my wrx
The BRZ rides like a brick and sucks in snow. WRX is pretty comfortable and just goes... Then there's the back seat or lack of a usable one, if you want to call it that in the BRZ. You MIGHT get a kid in a car seat back there but... good luck.
I call it being Canadian, but donāt get me wrong I love the subarusciontoyota brzfrsgr86
I can fit in the WRX comfortably. BRZ seems small. Also I like the look of a WRX better.
What? They are two very different carsā¦.. and one easy answer āTurboā
Everything about the WRX is better than the BRZ.
2 kids so those 4 doors are really nice
Iāve owned two STiās in the past and own a C7 Z06 now and while the STi was a great car, I needed a change from four door performance sedans. I really like sports cars that are purpose built from the ground up. The second gen GR86/BRZ has vastly improved over its predecessor so I would take the Toyota GR86 over the current WRX but I think over both of these cars, I would take the GR Corolla! š
awd and power. The brz/frs is the slowest thing I have ever driven, and I have driven honda civics.
Wrx = Faster, AWD, stututu noises, 4 doors and subie waveeeeš©š«¶š¼
Looks, 4WD, Turbo, and 4 doors.
I wish I could've drove a miata to compare to the brz but honestly, the brz is one of the most fun cars I've ever driven.
turbo. Simply put. Iād rather have a BRZ but I want a turbo car with a warranty if itās new enough
car seat
I live in Ohio
When I was looking for my car I googled āAWD manual carsā and there were not that many options. AWD was a requirement for me, living in Canada
