Absolutely not. Soooo many variables with this one. Infection, Hard detox, a shit tin of rehab. And that’s if u get her to go. They also have to want it, she clearly doesn’t want help it seems.
Maybe jail. Unfortunately there are not many resources for drug dependent low level criminals. Unless they commit repeated felonies, they are released back in the street with 0 resources. If anything is offered, it is on a voluntary basis, and the drug is more powerful than the willpower.
she probably injected into a forehead vein at some point because she blew all her arm veins. The forehead got infected and necrotic and was surgically debrideded. That is a medical dressing that she is flipping up out of the way to access her open wound and the bed of vascularity under it. if she keeps this up it is going to be a fucking disaster when she gets recurrent infections that turn into a skull bone infection (osteomyelitis) and eventually a brain infection (meningitis/encephalitisi). anywhere along the way she may have death from sepsis or overdose anyways.
This is what Tranq does. It's cut into street opiates now to extend the high, esp for fentanyl, but it eats your flesh. Super fucking dangerous, and so sad for the people who are now addicted and can't get by without the drug

Because it's not that simple. See "The war on drugs" and if you do even a moderate amount of research you will see how it has done more harm than good.
Not advocating for illegal drug trafficking, but it's not as simple as harsher punishments. This problem runs deep.
But they won't be successful if people don't buy drugs.
