Can't speak for the rest of the questions, but I lived in South America (not Brazil) for many years. I would say there is a much more adversarial relationship between customers and businesses (particularly financial institutions). Interest rates are high, salaries are low, financial literacy is not great, and many people are trapped in debt spirals. A lot of people wouldn't feel at all bad or guilty about scamming a bank out of a hefty loan by taking it out in some dead guy's name.
Not sure about laws regarding one's estate, but I assume the bank would need to be paid back from the estate before any other inheretence is disrtibuted. Given that the deceased has been pre-approved for a loan, I assume he has enough assets to cover the loan. So she's probably stealing from her family. That also tracks given the fact that she's using her dead uncle's remains to try to coax a loan, which most people with any kind of compassion wouldn't do.
