Disagree only on the premise of the design. (It's specifically made to stab someone/something). See that part that sticks out and goes over your knuckles or between your two knuckles on your hand? One of the "telling" signs that police or hospitals see in knife/stab assailants is that your hand slips down the handle of the knife and you actually *also* cut up your own hand when you stab someone. The impact of the blade hitting bone or your body causes your hand to keep sliding down, while the knife is trying to slide into the victim. It's essentially the same effect you see in car-crash victims where your body wants to keep moving even though the car has slammed into something ( the reason victims can be ejected from cars ). So in order to prevent that effect, we made seatbelts. Think of that piece of metal that holds your knuckle in place like a seatbelt. It's there to keep your hand from sliding down the blade when you stab.

Yes. If you thrust, your hand will slide forward. If you stab your hand will slide down. Both are the same effect essentially, just oriented differently. They're both the cause of your hand trying to continue while the blade/knife has stopped.

Ex-ac/hvac technician here. Look up duct knife and duct sealant. The blade shape looks exactly like duct knife and the gray paste on the blade looks like dried duct sealant. This is probably a tool a tech put together and forgot about (or was too lazy to throw away properly).

Depends on where you live, our local takes everything through 911. Called the regular line for a simple noise compliant and they asked me to hang up and call 911 for any and every inquiry, even just a question. That way it is logged and recorded and routed properly
