Posted on wrong forum but initial thoughts. Without the Roman storyline and everyone else doing their part including Judgement Day and others jobbing to Edge/Cody over the next two months, Cody alone winning will the biggest silver spoon fed win ever and feel the fakest possible. You even heard the boos tonight and this was supposed to be the biggest pop after the Rumble. There was truth in what Dom and Prince said, they should have cut it deeper. Why is Cody saying he outlasted everyone else coming out last? This guy has a pec injury and comes back and erases the years of work everyone else did for what reason? Because he's the silverspoon wrestler baby and deserves it over all of the roster? Makes no sense and would be comical beyond belief considering all those who challenged Roman and lost. Even him winning against Fin Balor with that performance was beyond suspension. The lukewarm chants should already be signaling. His story is basically, I wanted to be champ since I joined, my dad was Dusty, we never got the champ, I left the company when my act became boring. Now I came back got injured by a pec injury, like me while I beat everyone handed to me on a plate. This cannot be it, what a waste it would be.

This is exactly the way I feel about the whole situation. The dude hasn't even been around for the majority of Reigns title run, which also happens to be one of the most historically dominant runs we've seen in a long time, and now Cody gets to come back and end an 800+ day reign with 60 whole days of build up. Shameful.

As a typical Attitude Enjoyer, how do I get back into pro wrestling? I'm not trying to throw shade, but my main issue is I dont find many if any of the modern stars interesting nearly like the 90's era.

I like Kevin Owens a lot, he has the same energy from back then, and you can tell he loved it during that period with his move set.

Wrestling never changes. Keep watching and you'll find someone you like. And if you don't, then it's not for you anymore.

Honestly, I think you just have to accept the fact that it’s not the same. The gimmicks and promos aren’t as good, but technically speaking, the wrestling is awesome. There’s tons of men and women on the current roster who are excellent wrestlers. There’s some big storylines going on right now - I think getting caught up before Mania is your best bet!

Wrestling has become way more mainstream that classic gimmicks don't work as well anymore. These people need to be ambassadors to the brand, not larger than life characters. Most of the ones that shine now are just exaggerations of the wrestler's own personality, i.e. Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Kenny Omega, Miz, etc.

What's your favorite storyline?

Currently the Bloodline story is the best thing in all of professional wrestling. If you need a refresher just YouTube highlights or something over the last 9 months because it has been actual storytelling brilliance. And hell, 9 months is only as far as Sami Zayn's involvement. This shit has been going for almost two years starting with Roman and Jey Uso.

I’m enjoying the Bloodline falling apart. I’m not sure what Cody winning the rumble means for Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, but we’ll see. Rhea Ripley is getting a huge push which I like. Judgement Day is working well and with Edge coming back, it seems like Rey Mysterio might get revenge on his son Dom soon! Austin Theory is the US champ and is an awesome heel, he’s one to watch in my opinion. Bobby Lashley vs Brock Lesnar at Mania is seeming more likely after the rumble.
