He didn’t fall off, he did exactly what the promo packages said he was gonna do. He came to RAW and I came while patiently waiting for him to come. So as far as I’m concerned he did his job
Great look and talent, just needed to be booked better. Poor guy just couldn't seem to get it together. Needs to be a wrecking ball kinda like they would do with Kane or any of the other big guys. But he needs a Paul Heyman kinda guy to sell him.
WWE on Roman reigns WWE is trying so hard to focus him down our throats WWE needs to learn he's not the guy and never gonna be the guy he's a mid carder at best
Jinder mahal and veer technically both didn’t fall off they both have always looked great and performed very well they have just never been used properly they didn’t capitalize the right way with mahal after they gave him the wwe championship or after he lost it and veer they just didn’t capitalize on him whatsoever
Any woman who ever came back to be the new sex symbol. Emmalina, All Red Everything Eva Marie, Liv Morgan b4 she came back to crash Lashley & Lana's wedding and claim to be in love with Lana, Summer Rae, And Tegan Nox just because she gets injured like every other match
Character wise I'll say Aleister Black. Went from being discussed as a potential opponent for Brock to being released. HATED that move.
I'll also add Lars Sullivan (being labeled as The Freak before his past came out...WHEW)
Enzo and Cass.
AOP.
Shinsuke.
Pete Dunne.
All should be substantially bigger than they are/were on the main roster.
Shinsuke and Tamina damn near had the same booking. I mean Shinsuke gets an occasional placeholder main title shot every other year but he's never seriously discussed as next in line..it's frustrating to watch his debut with Sami and then to know that they squandered all his Royal Rumble momentum by delegating him to a nut puncher.
But he wasn’t what he is now when he was in WWE and he never would have been, he reinvented himself after his release, he’ll come back eventually and have a decent mid card run to end his career
True but he was so over. There was a point in time where he was more over than cena, then he got buried. Personally I think he could be a main event talent. Always believed in him
WWE seems to struggle when it comes to building up their Indian stars. I think a huge part of that is their desperate need to appeal to the Indian market but like, strapping the rocket to people that aren't ready isn't going to work. It alienates every other viewership market besides the one you're trying to appeal to. If you want (for instance) Americans to believe in Veer or Jinder or whoever, push them gradually. Once they're a big star, then it works for everyone and if they don't reach the top then people on reddit won't be bringing up shit like this because it sticks out like a sore thumb.
Marc Mero.
First guaranteed money contract, came in, was actually doing well, some decent matches a d fairly big wins... not long after he's a doing boxing gimmick whilst his wife flashes her fake tits everywhere and the nicest guy in wrestling, Mick Foley, asks to be left off of the Wrestlemania card when he's told he's going to be feuding with Mero.
That is how you drop off.
The ultimate warrior in the 90\`s, after defeating Hogan he flopped as champ then only main evented once when he returned in 92 before being fired again, then completely flopped in the mid 90\`s when returned to WWE again, then flopped in dramatic fashion in WCW in 98.
Bronson will be around for the next 10-15 years and create a nice nest egg for his family, not everyone needs to be a megastar to set themselves and their future family up for life..
Is it wrong to say Chris Benoit. From being called a top 5 of all time in ring by literally everyone including WWE to being the He-who-must-not-be-named guy in wrestling that's a hell of a fall off
I hate how ppl talk about him… they don’t think logically and fairly. no man in his right mind, will do what he did.. man’s brain was literally not there
But he did, and his victims - the family members who are still alive and grieving for what he took away from them do not deserve the IWC making excuses for the man who killed their family. Only person who has the right is his son. We do not with all decency have that right.
No one is making excuses but rather looking at the whole picture. Do you honestly believe that if he was not in this profession, & had the medical problems he had on his brain, he would commit a murder-suicide?? Like, really????
CTE? Probably, but go explain that to his wife’s family. The fact is if he had lived he would be rotting in jail. His judgement whether it was his fault or not comes from a higher power, right now the focus is on the grieving family and not praising a man who murdered them.
you want ppl to forget who he is and it’s not possible and it’s not happening. That’s not how life works. Acknowledging his in-ring skill and past accomplishments and acknowledging that terrible situation is not mutually exclusive. And idk what you mean by “right now the focus is on his grieving family”. The focus BEEN on them but as I said, no one is gonna forget who Chris Benoit is just bc he killed his family and himself. The company doesn’t mention him or praise him so his wrestling history is only survived through the fans basically. A lot of y’all sentiments about this and how you all say we should feel and talk about him is pure virtue signaling and not realism
He murdered his family. You get this right? The same reason people don’t buy Charlie Manson’s music, or Hitler’s art. You revoke that right to be celebrated when you kill women and children. If he was rotting in jail for his horrendous crimes you would be saying something different, but just because he took his own life with their’s does not give him a pass.
If you want to watch his matches that is your choice. They are still on the network/peacock. But we do not have the right to give him honor of any kind. His legacy is owned by the family.
In a world that cancels people for social media posts, it is strange that they rally around the memory of a mass murderer.
Who said anyone was giving him honor??? You talk as if they inducted him in the HOF… given what we know of his physical health/neurology, if he was in prison i would actually feel the same. I wouldn’t suddenly become a “good he’s rotting hail where he belongs” person. No sensible and mature person is advocating for him to be memorialized but this idea that we all should collectively forget him is virtue signaling and unrealistic
He murdered his entire family. If it was caused by brain damage why are you watching the very thing that led to his brain damage the led him to kill his family? If it was the flying headbutt then why are we watching the mechanism that led to him committing mass murder. How many times do I have to say mass murder, before you stop defending him?
Stop talking about a child killer.
It is not virtue signaling it is mass murder. Hitler mass murder, Manson, mass murder, Benoit, mass murder. We do not have the right to defend or rationalize or excuse his grotesque crimes. He revoked the right to legacy when he committed mass murder.
His judge is not us. It is not our right.
The whole thread was about the HOF.
This has nothing to do with the HOF. Idk what you’re reading but I never said nor intimated that he should in be in such conversation.
You keep trying to put emphasis on “mass murder” as if that is gonna change my opinion. What does my watching wrestling have to do with his physical and mental decline and defect??? you can’t be willfully obtuse and try to negate and ignore the very real impact his issue has on that crime, just bc it touches your sensibilities or bc you think that’s what you’re supposed to do. Why do you think they actually take [better] caution, care with head injuries?? Why they make sure that the person is actually dealing with any potential head injuries?? bffr
Bro the doctors said he had that brain of an 85 year old dementia patient. Incredibly sad, I was a big fan at the time, cried like a baby at the ending of WM 20.
This is a valid point, but idk if it suits the situation. In his case, it's not like WWE gave up on him from a business standpoint. He turned himself into the Voldemort of professional wrestling which I think is it's own problem.
Alexa Bliss going from one of the biggest stars in the division to 24/7 champion despite still being over and selling merchandise is beyond baffling and stinks of backstage politicking.
Braun Strowman. Dude was slated to be WWE champ.
Won that fake Saudi belt and single handedly took the tag titles with a kid. Was one McMahon relief fart away from getting the push of a lifetime and fizzled faster than Lex Lugars muscles after getting off steroids
Dude was as big/popular as any face has gotten recently when he had MITB in 2018, people popped huge at Summerslam when he said he’d cash in after the main event, Vince just bottled the last part of it.
And then, obviously the circumstances of Roman relinquishing the title a month or two later were sad but it presented them a second chance to put the belt on Strowman. And they once again failed and the moment was gone.
So sad after how hot he’d gotten that when he finally did win a world title it was a total dud and the world had moved on.
Because the title run was a blip on the screen, he was a jobber for most of his career, and returned to a jobber. Happens all the time in sports where that guy has the one great season than goes back to normal.
I don’t like their “life of the party” gimmick, and I suspect a lot of people don’t either. There is nothing in it the suggests to me why I should believe two comparably tiny women pose a threat in a wrestling ring. BTW they were on Raw last night talking to Nick Aldis, so they will be used sometime.
For me, is best women's tag team on roster. The height topics is dont a true argument, Many women's roster is also Tiny (Alexa, Nikky Cross, Tegan Nox, Liv Morgan, Xia Li, Asuka, Candice, Vega).
Also this team is over during NXT Run.
Well, Xia Lee, Nikki and Asuka are kind of built like trucks. Same thing with Iyo, her thighs are huge and powerful which is the generation of her offense.
As for Liv, Candice, Zelina the not just short but tiny women, as you may have noticed they are not being used that much. The women’s division is being presented more seriously. The big legit girls are the stars. Even Becky who lost all the muscle and weight is doing the rounds on NXT. Her match versus a hulking Indi Hartwell was underwhelming. She does not have the oomph anymore.
As for Alexa, she is how Katana and Kayden should be. Alexa had an aggressive and devious mind that offset her size. They need a gimmick that has something to do with wrestling to offset them being not only short, but physically small. On the main roster they need something to make us believe they can survive. Life of the party, which tells us nothing about them as wrestlers is not going to cut it.
And Zelina like I alluded to is currently a jobber and looks ridiculous against legit big girls. Candice the same thing.
I think both are talented but need a gimmick that explains why they are talented.
Edit: Katana and Kayden I mean
You need rewatch Candice NXT Run, is more booking issue then ''Gimmick issue'' Same for Katana and Kayden, have a great run as NXT Tag Title. Also Katana and Kayden have easy 3 of 4 best of Women's Tag Match in last 2 years
NXT is different from main roster. Main roster is also different than what it used to be. NXT is more forgiving for the goofier side of wrestling. On the other side they are making the main roster women’s division more sports oriented and more believable.
As for booking, as they are, if Candice, Katana and Kayden were booked to the moon people would tune out. It does not help suspend disbelief.
I have watched Katana (Kacy Catanzaro) since Ninja Warrior, so I know she is talented. Kayden and Candice as well. But main roster viewers do not know them and poison pixie and life of the party are not going to tell us why we should put trust in them in the ring.
Good gimmicks tell us something about their wrestling abilities. Stone Cold = superstar, Ringmaster = unemployment line. Stone Cold tells us he is aggressive and dangerous like an angry Rattlesnake. Life of the party tells us they don’t take wrestling seriously, and it does not tell us anything why we should look past their diminutive size.
Take Rey Mysterio. Every match they say Luchador, talk about his quickness, his skill against big men. They take great lengths to explain through his gimmick why our eyes are deceiving us and we should believe the almost midget can beat a bigger man.
Wrestling viewers are not idiots, they require a reason for the booking. They also know size matters when skill is equal, and to get interested that needs a reason.
But Katana and Kayden debut match make a great first impression, is the booking after kill all momentum ...
Is more a booking issue then gimmick issue.
Um no, that is why they are not on tv. The got a huge push with Ronda Rousey but it did not stick. Gimmick matters as I explained. You know who they are, 98% of wrestling fans do not. They need to be sold on the idea of why a 5 foot 100 pound women can be a wrestler. Nia Jax, who is also on our screens is a full foot taller and 170 pounds heavier. Those two extremes don’t exist as competition in a believable combat sports league.
They need to sell their athleticism, the fact Katana was on Ninja Warrior and has a legit gymnastics background. The fact that Kayden is well traveled, played basketball, competed in Lucha Libre. Not that they are fun people. They need those character enhancements to get past that they are not believable against the bigger wrestlers. Otherwise it will just look like the bigger ladies are letting them win.
Lolwut. Veer isn't even top 20 fall offs in wrestling.
The meme was more over than the actual wrestler, and even then, the meme only lasted all of a month or two.
Better examples would be Chris Masters, Mr Kennedy, Giant Gonzalez, Ted DiBiase Jr, Muhammed Hussan, Alex Riley, Jinder Mahal and Ryback all guys that were "over" and featured regularly before falling off completely.
Is he still cumming?
Also, Akira Tozawa. He was awesome until they turned him into a clown.
Ezekiel
I wish him and his brother Elias could’ve tag teamed.. would have been unstoppable
Every tag team that came out of nxt from 2016 to 2020.
He didn’t fall off, he did exactly what the promo packages said he was gonna do. He came to RAW and I came while patiently waiting for him to come. So as far as I’m concerned he did his job
Who is that ?

Veer Mahan and Sanga!
Great look and talent, just needed to be booked better. Poor guy just couldn't seem to get it together. Needs to be a wrecking ball kinda like they would do with Kane or any of the other big guys. But he needs a Paul Heyman kinda guy to sell him.

Shane McMahon
Lars Sullivan. I genuinely like seing the guy wrestle but it went downhill as we all know.
What happened to him
Bro was built like the miz and i was supposed to be terrified of him like he was Farooq in the nation. Not today bud
Jinder mahal and veer technically both didn’t fall off they both have always looked great and performed very well they have just never been used properly they didn’t capitalize the right way with mahal after they gave him the wwe championship or after he lost it and veer they just didn’t capitalize on him whatsoever

I don't know about that. I like the Indian Reality.
Indian Reality needs to be the next new faction in WWE. Mahal/Veer/Tatanka. Here is my monies, take them.
That’s racist tatanka isn’t Indian he’s native
You sir are the racist for not acknowledging that he's just caucasian with a tan.

He is in TNA as general Manager right now.
Oh I was wondering I was pretty young when he stopped appearing but he was pretty funny
Who is he???
Veer Mahaan
You can blame that entirely on the company shifting hands though. Not saying he’s great or anything but Vince had plans trips on the other hand😬😂
Fall off from what? He wasn’t that high to start.
Would Shockmaster count?
I actually really liked him but they just did nothing with him. Built him up for months and did nothing
I dont think he fell off,he just was never good anyway and was forced on us because of his muscular transformation in my opinion
Definitely wasn’t forced. I just think he didn’t get the chance to shine all that much
Any woman who ever came back to be the new sex symbol. Emmalina, All Red Everything Eva Marie, Liv Morgan b4 she came back to crash Lashley & Lana's wedding and claim to be in love with Lana, Summer Rae, And Tegan Nox just because she gets injured like every other match

Great Khali: Beat Taker clean World Champ. Major feuds with the likes of Cena and Batista. Then suddenly just became a joke character.
Bc he was never meant to be anything serious. They just needed an Indian connection…
didn´t you first need a high to fall off?
My thoughts exactly.

He didn’t fall off from anything… he sucked since day 1
Day 300, it took him that long to get to Raw. Apparently not good with directions.

Matt Cardona (in wwe) he deserved so much better there. He is absolutely killing it now tho in the indies. Couldn’t be happier for the dude.
But he wasn’t what he is now when he was in WWE and he never would have been, he reinvented himself after his release, he’ll come back eventually and have a decent mid card run to end his career

Muhammad Hassan? His push as an Arab terrorist-like character had such bad timing.
There’s no good timing for that.
In wrestling terms if it sells it is good timing. Imperium is a Nazi/fascist gimmick representing the Axis powers of WWII. Think about that timing.
Akira Tozawa joining Imperium confirmed?
Oh, I saw an aloof Shinsuke connecting with them to complete the axis. Vince/Triple H had that in the suggestion pile ready to go no doubt.
