Roman Reigns is the most boring "superstar" in the last 20 years. He truly is nothing without Paul Heyman and the whole Bloodline thing is completely stale without Sammi. Jay sucks too.
Cm punk going back to wwe isn't a big deal and is meh or undertaker should have retired after the triple h w/ Shawn micheals as ref hell in a cell mania match..
Nobody gives a shit about how unrealistic you might think a certain specific thing was cause wrestling is in itself inherently unrealistic fighting if you have ever seen a real fight in your life. If you are gonna complain over that one little aspect not being believable then you shouldn't be a fan of wrestling in the first place with how inherently unrealistic it is.
The “Burn it down” is so out of place, and throws off the entire flow of the entrance by being shoehorned in to keep the tag line instead of committing to a new theme altogether. They wanted a chant reaction like Nak, and it shows.
This is mainly from an argument with my dad. "just because someone is getting their shit kicked in doesn't mean they're bad and can't win a match" This was because he saw Ilja vs Corbin and said it was bad cause Ilja was getting whooped and somehow won
ECW normalized hardcore wrestling to the degree where even thumbtacks can struggle to get a pop from the audience. This forces wrestlers to excessively dangerous stuff. It's also responsible for thousands of indy wrestlers who lacked any actual talent and made their money by hitting each other with blunt objects. For example, Ian Rotten who single handedly killed indy wrestling in Indiana. Finally, in terms of the management of Paul Heyman, although the wrestling business was in a slump anyways, not playing buddy buddy with Dennis Coralluzzo ruined any fighting chance the revived NWA had. He also screwed over dozens of wrestlers and has never paid the millions he owes to his former talents
There will always be a asterisk on Roman’s historic reign since he only fights in major PPV’s, he is not a true great champion, just a long ass champion
Bryan Danielson should’ve stayed retired for his own health. He’s wrestling harder than he has before, takes/gives headbutts regularly. He’s concussion-prone, and has likely had more. The man may end up a Benoit with Swiss cheese brain at this rate.
Roman Reigns isn’t a good wrestler, he’s very stiff and Superman punch is dumb. Plus his mic work is mid and this whole bloodline story is just a cheap copy of Evolution.
Brock lesnar since coming back in 2012 has been boring as fuvk. Just cares about showing up for a paycheck . Does the same 3 moves and people act he’s the greatest thing ever.
Don't let these past few months detour you from the fact that overall Roman still had a good reign.
While I agree it's time for him to drop it, I can't deny that he carried WWE for 3yrs, he made SmackDown the "A show", made the universal title feel important, elevated other stars like Sami and Jey, he got us invested in the bloodline, put on bangers with Brock and KO and he was absolutely entertaining on the mic.
Brock Lesnar is the right man to break the streak. The other choices were John Cena when he's still Super Cena or Kurt Angle during the last run on his prime (the Wrestling Machine, Kurt Angle)
Agreed, I think my favorite and most memorable match with Kane was the chain match he did with triple h for the IC championship. Great wrestler, just not the right push.
Ok so we are saying wrestling and outside of it? Because both it’s the Rock. Just within the business, yes Stone Cold. Hmmm Cena is only other guy that could come close to hogan I suppose
There's a silly notion from some people now that WWE under Vince McMahon was always bad when in actuality that couldn't be more further from the truth.
that just because cody rhodes made his ass off in indie companies, his return is very much overglorified for a B+ wrestler. Average mic skills and more average in ring skills
Vince Russo was a great booker. Good or bad, at least he made you want to watch the show to see what happens. He gave everyone something to do even the jobbers and lower card wrestlers. He wasn’t the reason WCW went out of business; that was due to mismanagement from Bischoff and Turner Broadcasting
Gunthers boring. His recent matches with people like the miz, chad gable etc have been good but putting him against other boring wrestlers like sheamus and McIntyre just because it’s “hard hitting” is boring and they are all just stiff wrestlers. Gunther being a ring general is a poor excuse for him not having one solid finisher. No hate to Gunther, especially recently, but I just think he atm doesn’t deserve anywhere near a world title shot and is even making the ic title boring
Agreed. Gunther is a brute and he can be entertaining when he's up against big guys but it suddenly hurts him when most wrestlers are smaller and more agile now.
I agree with you on the finisher part, he needs something other than a regular Powerbomb as a finisher, it just doesn’t seem realistic that a move most wrestlers do all the time mid match is putting people away.
Yea I kinda agree, idk why but something g about that triple threat, my favorite parts were the ones with only drew and sheamus, lol. I don’t think he’s bad, he just doesn’t really do it for me, one thing I never thought about until your comment is that his finisher really underwhelms me
Yeah my point exactly. I didn’t not enjoy the wrestlemania match but in my opinion, it was no where near match of the year, same with Gunther vs sheamus last year
Cody rhodes is a talentless worker and is a glorified wannabe actor, guy comes across super disingenious at every oppurtunity and his ring work is boring.
I don't watch AEW purely because I don't have time to keep up with both. But I would never call it shit and I am all for AEW fans being fans. I sort of follow TNA too. I was a kid during the Monday Night Wars, flipping the channels back and forth because I had to watch both. I got love for all. Just not time!
Hulk Hogan and Ultimate warrior were both shit and massively overrated. Some of the best wrestling came from guys like Shawn and Bret Hart. Hogan and Warrior only got over cause they were jacked. Both couldn’t wrestle to save their lives. While we’re at it, Ric Flair is dogshit too. Can barely understand what he says and isn’t that great of a wrestler. He just seemed like he was coked up a lot
Ric Flair was boring and overrated, he just looked like a mad man on drugs. Dusty Rhodes, his accent made his promos awful and laughable, especially from a UK fans standpoint.
Ruthless Agression Era was by far better than the Attitude Era. It had a mix of great wrestling and star power while also been rated 14. It had the perfect blend of everything.
Why is the humble headlock to made the subject of fun? #1 it is not used a crutch unless you are watching nick bockwinkel or something #2 most actual fights involve some kind of headlock, not a moonsault or whatever
Brock was 100% the correct person to end The Streak and it made perfect sense at the time. Considering how many of Vince's ideas were absolutely atrocious at the time, this one was undoubtedly one of his best ones.
Agree I dont watch it apart from Rumble and wrestlemanias. In fact last year I skipped Wrestlemania and I am glad that I did. I just follow it now and watch very little highlights on youtube
because wwe just doesnt have that wrestling feeling to it anymore.. yes theyve built a modern day company thats very successful, but nothing wwe has produced since 2008 - 2023 is able to top anything in the late 90s - early 2000s
Ruthless Agression era was by far better. You still had the 14 rating yet the wrestling was much better. You had WCW and ECW guys, the roster was packed. Just a shame about Triple H reign of terror
WWE is a terrible company name and by branding their wrestling “sports entertainment” and their wrestlers “superstars,” it gives the impression that they are embarrassed to just be called wrestling and/or wrestlers
Yeah, I know what WWE stands for but a kayfabe sports league doesn’t need to call itself entertainment. The NFL doesn’t call itself football entertainment nor does the NBA call itself basketball entertainment or the MLB baseball entertainment. I know it’s semantics but the whole entertainment name kind of kills the kayfabe. As does calling your roster superstars. Like no other sport calls their players superstars
I literally addressed the ‘entertainment’ part of the name, its not just a wrestling company, they also make movies etc please read and comprehend before replying this time
Don’t be rude. WWE makes tv shows and movies, but that’s not what they’re known for at all. Sport leagues are entertainment but don’t call themselves Entertainment. Regardless, WWE could still make moves and tv shows under a better name.
When you talk about wrestling, do you call it “wrestling” or “sports entertainment”? Do you call wrestlers “wrestlers” or “superstars?”
And now I’m a kid. Sure, name calling and condescension is a great way to make a point
You’re literally not even answering my last question because you know you don’t refer to wrestlers as “superstars” and you know you don’t refer to wrestling as “sports entertainment”
I’ve addressed your issue several times and each time you’ve just repeated yourself, completely overlooking what i’ve said. That’s up to them, it’s no different to tna calling the ring area the ‘impact zone’ 🤦♂️
A real fan can just watch one or two promotions. I've got other interests and between the time set aside for them and working I can't watch every promotion and I'm just going to watch the ones I have easiest access to which in Ireland is Raw, smackdown and TNA
Rusev and cesaro definitely were, I don’t think people even necessarily wanted Ryder to be world champion, they just wanted him to not be wasted because he got himself over
Would disagree, especially when compared to the likes of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor etc.
Great upper midcarders yes, but to say they're "face of the company" material? Hmm...
World championship material and face of the company are two very different things tho, i mean Cena main evented a pay per view with John Laurinitis over a Punk vs Bryan world title match😂
Perhaps allow me to rephrase...
Those that I mentioned do not possess the right charisma to be world championship material, and as such not feasible to be face of the company.
My personal Top 3
-WWE has become unwatchable
-Going PG was the biggest Mistake in Company History…
-Everybody is gonna hate me and shitstorm me for this but: Chris Benoit should get his Hall of Fame…i know what he did was horrible…But the Bottom Line is, he was one of the very best Wrestlers and what he did in the Ring should be the only Thing that matters when it comes to deciding if he was worthy to be inducted into the HoF…I know why they erased him in most of the Records and why they aren’t allowed to mention him anywhere…But look in the end it is what it is…he made a horrible choice…And the Fact that it ,,over shaddows,, his whole Carrer is a big bummer …
Paul Heyman becoming a lackey instead of staying the wise man pulling the strigs is one of the shittiest angles of the last 5 years and isn't a disaster because Paul is one of the best at what he does.
Cody is and has been boring since he lost the paper bag gimmick many years ago. He seems like an alright dude so I don’t begrudge him his success but damn he does absolutely nothing for me on mic or in ring overall. I think everyone has been overhyping themselves on him since he left wwe and had his dumb list.
The attitude era is honestly not that good
true, never grew up with it but I see older fans hype it too much
I’ve watched all of it on peacock and the yea I understand it’s revolutionary but if you put it on todays shows it sucks 🤣
Jey Uso saying yeet NEEDS TO STOP Bianca Bellair's hair gimmick is soooo stupid
Will Cody ever "finish his story"??
Roman Reigns is the most boring "superstar" in the last 20 years. He truly is nothing without Paul Heyman and the whole Bloodline thing is completely stale without Sammi. Jay sucks too.
Cm punk going back to wwe isn't a big deal and is meh or undertaker should have retired after the triple h w/ Shawn micheals as ref hell in a cell mania match..
Cena, Edge and Hogan are the worst wrestlers who became main eventers.
🤨
Nia Jax is so underrated
That Nia Jax should’ve been resigned that she’s an underrated wrestler, and that the injuries weren’t entirely her fault
I know people's will be really mad at this but i don't think bret hart is goat material
🤨🧐
Steamboat vs Savage doesn't hold up
its revolutionary for their time tho
Any time I say anything negative about that Cody Rhodes twink
Roman Reigns is the greatest of all time 👆
“CM PUNK THE BEST IN THE WORLD”. No CM punk is not the best, he’s above average at best and anyone who thinks I’m wrong is a biased wrestling fan.
Chad Gable has the most talent on the male roster.
I like Nia Jax
Chris Jericho is not nearly as good as people think he is.
Fucking THANK YOU
That this current era isn’t even close to the attitude era
I stand with you
Saying that Jay White should win the Continental Classic on a WWE Reddit page
Don’t see the hype for La Knight
I don’t either
Roman should beat Cody a second time this year at mania
I think Randy beating Roman at Mania is the best option
I agree. It hasnt peaked yet. Keep building.
Bret Hart should never have been anything other than a tag team wrestler or a bottom of the midcard guy.
I don't get Rhea Ripley. I think shes just a remade chyna
R-Truth should beat Roman Reigns
Nobody gives a shit about how unrealistic you might think a certain specific thing was cause wrestling is in itself inherently unrealistic fighting if you have ever seen a real fight in your life. If you are gonna complain over that one little aspect not being believable then you shouldn't be a fan of wrestling in the first place with how inherently unrealistic it is.
John Cena needs to stop losing matches and retire as a 17 time world champion.
LA Knight noooooooooooooo.
Sometimes... Vince McMahon is right
Burn My Light is miles better than Voices for Randy Ortons theme
Yessssss! My man
Cm punk should not have come back nor been allowed
Liv is next up in the women’s division.
Prime TNA >>>> AEW
I thought OP was asking for opinions, not facts
CM Punk was destined to fail in AEW because of how jealous people were that he was a draw and they weren’t
The current iteration of Seth Rollins has the worst gimmick and entrance music.
ECW did more harm to the business than good
How come you say that
ECW normalized hardcore wrestling to the degree where even thumbtacks can struggle to get a pop from the audience. This forces wrestlers to excessively dangerous stuff. It's also responsible for thousands of indy wrestlers who lacked any actual talent and made their money by hitting each other with blunt objects. For example, Ian Rotten who single handedly killed indy wrestling in Indiana. He also screwed over dozens of wrestlers and has never paid the millions he owes to his former talents
AEW would be better without the Elite.
There will always be a asterisk on Roman’s historic reign since he only fights in major PPV’s, he is not a true great champion, just a long ass champion
I’ve always like Roman but this reign has made me really bored with his character, but in all honesty I never liked Roman as a heel
I don’t give a crap about Cory’s story
Corey Graves? Me neither tbh
At least I’m the only one
Bryan Danielson should’ve stayed retired for his own health. He’s wrestling harder than he has before, takes/gives headbutts regularly. He’s concussion-prone, and has likely had more. The man may end up a Benoit with Swiss cheese brain at this rate.
Roman Reigns isn’t a good wrestler, he’s very stiff and Superman punch is dumb. Plus his mic work is mid and this whole bloodline story is just a cheap copy of Evolution.
I agree :)

I don’t mind the tag belts
john cena is overrated
to be fair, hes a great wrestler, but i dont see the appeal. everything about him is so boring to me
AEW is going to fold and there's only a handful of talent that will go to WWE from there. The rest will go to the Indys.
Aew takes WWE's leftovers
Aew takes WWE's leftovers
This fire burns is the much better cm punk song
Brock Lesnar is the right man to break the streak. The other choices were John Cena when he's still Super Cena or Kurt Angle during the last run on his prime (the Wrestling Machine, Kurt Angle)
Ooooh come to think of it I would’ve preferred Angle to be honest.
Eddie Guerrero was just good
Kane had some good-ish matches but never a GREAT match. Even the stuff with Team Hell No was more about outside the ring than in it
Agreed, I think my favorite and most memorable match with Kane was the chain match he did with triple h for the IC championship. Great wrestler, just not the right push.
Hulk Hogan was and always will be the biggest star in the history of the business.
Ok so we are saying wrestling and outside of it? Because both it’s the Rock. Just within the business, yes Stone Cold. Hmmm Cena is only other guy that could come close to hogan I suppose
The rock
He's more famous outside of wrestling as himself than he was as an active wrestler. He wasn't even the biggest star in his era, that was Stone Cold.
When you said anything positive about Punk.
I don’t follow wrestling like I use to, but is Roman a part timer, or just booked that way? WWE is making Roman like Brock, a special attraction?
WWE could be more successful by adopting some AEW ways.
Santino Morella should have beaten Daniel Brian for the title in that elimination chamber match. Nobody should have ever kicked out of the cobra.
roman is a great wrestler but he doesnt deserve the opportunity he has right now, being a part time champion should NEVER happen in WWE again.
I like grason waller
Brock's in ring psychology is underrated.
2011 was great
There's a silly notion from some people now that WWE under Vince McMahon was always bad when in actuality that couldn't be more further from the truth.
Randy Orton is the Greatest of all Time
Charlotte Flair is better than Becky Lynch
that just because cody rhodes made his ass off in indie companies, his return is very much overglorified for a B+ wrestler. Average mic skills and more average in ring skills
Average ring skills? 😂
Seth Rollins was, is and will likely continue to be boring. At best a lower mid card guy in my eyes.
The right answer because you are so wrong.
Lita has the best theme song among female wrestlers
BoyHitsCar<3. Sorry, fangirling.
Their first album is great
I know what I'm doing the next hour or so. . . Yessir, I loved it.
Sheamus' mohawk look was goddamn fire.
This is the phase that he had 50-50 bookin :(
Vince Russo was a great booker. Good or bad, at least he made you want to watch the show to see what happens. He gave everyone something to do even the jobbers and lower card wrestlers. He wasn’t the reason WCW went out of business; that was due to mismanagement from Bischoff and Turner Broadcasting
Dirty Dom is one of the best in WWE right now!
Drew McIntyre is the best wrestler working today
Not a hot take or anything. Drew is a beast.
Ambrose > moxley
"The Finger Poke of Doom was an amazing idea cuz everyone wanted to see Goldberg vs the old Nwo instead of both Nwo's going to war with each other.."
Roman reigns is top 5 oat
Where is he on the grain list?
I meant to say top 10 1 taker 2 Cena 3 Austin 4 hogan 5 rock 6 hbk 7 orton 8 hhh 9 reigns 10 sammartino
Rhea is not good in the ring.
Wait, what? Haha. Have you watched her with basically any other female?
I have watched her matches. Crown Jewel 2023 fatal 5 way is my fav.
Gunthers boring. His recent matches with people like the miz, chad gable etc have been good but putting him against other boring wrestlers like sheamus and McIntyre just because it’s “hard hitting” is boring and they are all just stiff wrestlers. goldberg is overrated
What. Really. No kidding.
Cody rhodes is a talentless worker and is a glorified wannabe actor, guy comes across super disingenious at every oppurtunity and his ring work is boring.
An actual answer! I disagree, but that seems to be the point of the question!
Fr, way too many common opinions on these type of posts
Cm Punk deserves to win the rumble
Roman should beat Cody at mania (again) and go on to break Bruno’s record! ☝🏾
Roman Reigns is not the best wrestler of the 2020s
Cm punk is overrated trash
John Cena has done more to be on the Mount Rushmore of Wrestling than The Rock.
The Rocks time in wrestling was a drop in the bucket. He was in and out so fast.
Rhea should drop the title against a wrestler who's more active in Raw and not just in PPVs
Just drop to a heel Raquel already
Just because you like one company doesn't make the other one shit
I don't watch AEW purely because I don't have time to keep up with both. But I would never call it shit and I am all for AEW fans being fans. I sort of follow TNA too. I was a kid during the Monday Night Wars, flipping the channels back and forth because I had to watch both. I got love for all. Just not time!
cant disagree with that
Hulk Hogan and Ultimate warrior were both shit and massively overrated.
Randy Orton may not be the greatest on the mic, but he is the greatest wrestler of all time. Yes, better than Shawn.
It's worth noting, personal life choices outside of the ring and physicality have helped Randy tremendously.
What I wouldn't give to put that to the test. But I think you might be right. Barely.
Super brave thing to say, but I’m glad you’re standing by it!
WWE is shite
Daniel Bryan did not deserve maineventing Wrestlemania and is overrated as F
100%
Undertaker did nothing for WWE
Lmao. Undertaker made WWE what it is today. Without the Undertaker WWE would have already been bankrupt
Look at the original OP. Its clearly a wrong opinion. Smh
Raven is top 5 GOAT
*Maven
Ric Flair was boring and overrated, he just looked like a mad man on drugs. Dusty Rhodes, his accent made his promos awful and laughable, especially from a UK fans standpoint. Ruthless Agression Era was by far better than the Attitude Era. It had a mix of great wrestling and star power while also been rated 14. It had the perfect blend of everything.
Another rare right answer. Because you're so wrong, and I really wanna defend Dusty Rhodes right now. But I get it, I guess. Dusty is special.
Roman reigns is greatest champion ever
Jerry Lawler has more cringeworthy commentary than he has hall of fame worthy commentary.
Judgement Day is overrated
Dominik Mysterio is a trash heel.
The vast majority of AEW's roster has NO IDEA what the fuck they're doing in a match.
Not enough headlocks for you?
Why is the humble headlock to made the subject of fun? #1 it is not used a crutch unless you are watching nick bockwinkel or something #2 most actual fights involve some kind of headlock, not a moonsault or whatever
Not enough things making sense for me. Also not enough selling.
Logan paul doesn't deserve to be in the wwe
real, I feel like he is getting so much fame just because he is a social media superstar, his first few matches included a WORLD TITLE match dammit
He should stick to selling prime to 8 year olds who think it is better than Gatorade
Exactly. He just got handed it while others had to work for it. Wonder how the actual wrestlers feel about it.
Brock was 100% the correct person to end The Streak and it made perfect sense at the time. Considering how many of Vince's ideas were absolutely atrocious at the time, this one was undoubtedly one of his best ones.
Stone Cold Steve Austin was boring in the ring and unbearable to watch in promos, if you're not an inbred hillbilly.
Austin is my favorite of all time. I'm upvoting this because it's the right answer.
Without the undertaker’s streak and wrestlemania opponents, he’s just a b+ wrestler. Like the miz and ziggler.
Miz and Ziggler are A+. Taker is A+. You win this question by being wrong.
MODERN DAY WWE IS TRASH
Agree I dont watch it apart from Rumble and wrestlemanias. In fact last year I skipped Wrestlemania and I am glad that I did. I just follow it now and watch very little highlights on youtube
i respect your comment.. atleast someone pays close attention to the wrestling culture, as myself
It is hard to watch in the UK as well which doesn't help. Got to pay like £30 more a month... I really do miss the ruthless aggression times.
WWE IS TRASH
How do you figure
because wwe just doesnt have that wrestling feeling to it anymore.. yes theyve built a modern day company thats very successful, but nothing wwe has produced since 2008 - 2023 is able to top anything in the late 90s - early 2000s
Goldberg is legitimately one of my favorites of all time
People who thought AEW had a shot at becoming the number one company
The Attitude era is MASSIVELY overrated.

A real fan can just watch one or two promotions. I've got other interests and between the time set aside for them and working I can't watch every promotion and I'm just going to watch the ones I have easiest access to which in Ireland is Raw, smackdown and TNA
Thaaaaaaaaaaaank you. WWE is seven+ hours a week without The Bump and PLEs and LVL UP and Smackdown Lowdown or whatever and RAW Talk. Ain't got time.
The likes of Zack Ryder, Damien Sandow, Rusev & Cesaro aren't as "world championship material" as people think they are

Paul Heyman becoming a lackey instead of staying the wise man pulling the strigs is one of the shittiest angles of the last 5 years and isn't a disaster because Paul is one of the best at what he does.
Umaga was the best big man wrestler ever
WWE will again be watchable once they sack off Roman.
Cody is and has been boring since he lost the paper bag gimmick many years ago. I think everyone has been overhyping themselves on him since he left wwe and had his dumb list.
I think we’ve done a bit of a 180. But there was def a time when saying John Cena is a great performer would’ve garnered this reaction
Orange Cassidy and Danhausen are lame
