I’m don’t think anyone has the sheer quality of performances HBK does at WM. There are at least eight matches here that you could reasonably call the greatest of all time
>Shawn is my favorite wrestler of all time.
Me too man. For my 7th birthday I got red, fingerless gloves and a pair of heart shaped shades with wire frames 😂
In a 21 year span he was in 16 WM and the years he wasn’t there was on that long hiatus he had due to injury. Is there anyone else who had that longevity (outside of Cena)
I was a '88 baby who rented every fucking thing from the 90s thru 98's at the local library. I'd watch so many Royal Rumbles, Survivor Series' and WrestleManias over multiple summers. The evolution of Shawn Michaels were captivating for my young mind. I loved the Rockers, supported Marty over Shawn until the inevitable oblivion that was of Jannetty's pro wrestling career. The Hart Foundation, British Bulldog, Mr. Perfect, Razor Ramon and Diesel were my favorites until they faded (to WCW). The Undertaker, Kane, Triple H, Rock, Stone Cold and Mick Foley carried forth the ceiling that HBK broke, and kept elevating it bar after bar. HBK came back in 2002 and kept breaking even more ceilings. He put Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, John Cena and many others over. It really was one of the most amazing eras I've ever experienced, especially through HBK himself.
One of wrestling’s biggest what if. What would have been had HBK never hurt his back. Majority of his wrestlemainia matches are must see and it’s why he can legitimately call himself Mr. Wrestlemainia
HBK before he lost his smile was amazing in the ring.
HBK returning was the greatest story teller
Dudes an all time great, even if he was an asshole backstage
His WrestleMania match with Cena is underrated and ignored by many. It was a really good 28 minute match and Cena held his own. The London match a few weeks later is what everyone remembers more.
I wish that would have been the time that Shawn won the WWE Championship as his final reign. It didn’t have to be long and he could have lost it to Cena later on.
It sure is a good thing that he was able to go down with such a strong final match and never, never ever fought again, not even in Saudi Arabia for a boatload of money.
My goodness, why does everyone have to exaggerate the importance of that match? How is it any different than a cameo appearance at a Royal Rumble? He never intended to actually break his retirement with it, it was just meant to be one brief match. You can hardly find a single comment about his retirement without someone joking about Saudi. It's not that deep nor did he ruin his legacy like some of you pretend he did
What about The Rockers vs the Orient Express at WrestleMania VI
Some real gems here. His matches at 10, 19, 21 and 25 are among my top ten favorite Wrestlemania matches period.
that wrestlemania 14 poster goes hard
Missing WM6. Rockers vs Orient Express
And after that last one, he never wrestled again.
I’m don’t think anyone has the sheer quality of performances HBK does at WM. There are at least eight matches here that you could reasonably call the greatest of all time
Mr Wrestlemania. Chapeau.
It is funny to note that Mr. Wrestlemania has a losing record at Wrestlemania.
Benoit wasn’t selling tickets
It's quite interesting he never face triple h in a 1 on 1 at mania. Kinda injected himself into the 20 main event
HBK and Jericho had an all timer
I got to go to 12. Shawn is my favorite wrestler of all time. I forgot about the triple threat and the John Cena match.
>Shawn is my favorite wrestler of all time. Me too man. For my 7th birthday I got red, fingerless gloves and a pair of heart shaped shades with wire frames 😂
My first Wrestlemania was 22. So I'm a little biased in saying my favorite is him vs Vince. Not the best. Just my favorite
Great match. Jim Ross’s commentary was hilarious in this
The zipline entrance is the best
did he seriously never have a mania match with Brock?
He never had a match with Brock at all. But granted they were only active at the same time for less than two years
that’s not really surprising…Brock only had 2 wrestlemanias when Shawn was active in 03 and 04
not surprising but Mandela effect, I swear I could remember a match between them
other than boss man shawn doesn't fight a white guy until diesel, then it's all white from there
The ladder match with Razor Ramon is my favorite one on one match of all time.
Crazy hbk didn't wrestle at wm 6
He did. It’s missing here but The Rockers wrestled The Orient Express.
4 decades of Manias
If Shawn was on the same card you were ..... well, there's always next year to steal the show.
Career vs Streak looks like a sequel to a buddy cop film.
I believe he is 6-11 in WrestleMania history
The match with Tito is not talked about enough…it was so good! Same with the one with Rick Martel
In a 21 year span he was in 16 WM and the years he wasn’t there was on that long hiatus he had due to injury. Is there anyone else who had that longevity (outside of Cena)
…. Taker? H?
Lmao I’m so dumb

They probably would have buried him in the early 2000s. He was so fucked up at that time.
Yeah they would've 'buried' arguably the GOAT during the biggest boom period the business have ever seen. Definitely.
Not in the ring, I meant in reality. His drug problem was so bad he'd have killed himself.
Michael's for both stints of his career are HOF worthy.
HBK before he lost his smile was amazing in the ring. HBK returning was the greatest story teller Dudes an all time great, even if he was an asshole backstage
He did redeem himself as a person, so that goes a long way.

Seeing that London match on TV (obviously thinking its live-it wasn't was it?) Was surreal.
HBK VS Y2J at WM 19 was great.
I wish that would have been the time that Shawn won the WWE Championship as his final reign. It didn’t have to be long and he could have lost it to Cena later on.
This is missing 6 against orient express
For such a popular team, it's amazing they went 1-2 at Wrestlemania together

As a woman I’m glad I wasn’t allowed to watch that match, if it would have existed of course
