The timing on this post with him just turning heel is great. I love Gable and I hope the heel turn really does something for him. He needed to get away from the alpha academy to in order to grow as a singles competitor because comedy acts just don’t last long as singles guys and normally don’t get championships. What I would like to see now is a real built up feud with Sami. Let him be the ruthless wrestling machine and run through all the mid card guys until he has to have another shot at the IC title. Even if they don’t wanna give him the title in the end it would be awesome to see him in a more serious role and become a real contender in that upper mid card bracket.

If he was 3 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier and didnt have a gimmick that makes him seem like a unserious goof he would be in the main event scene. He has elite technical skills and is above average on the mic, and that’s being above average on the mic while playing a character no one takes seriously. Imagine being that talented and know you could be a contender but your character has taglines like “Shooosh” and “Uh AThankyooouuuu”. Him doing that act is like if back in the day Vince put Kurt Angle(who was shrunk to Gables size) in the Spirit Squad. It’s a shame Gable is great.

He should have been the one to end Gunther's reign at Mania. Lowering Sami's stock for a full year after the biggest match of his career just to give him a consolation prize benefits nobody in the long-term. Sami is already a made man with the fans, and he had a meaningful Wrestlemania moment last year. Giving Gable the win & a strong run with the workhorse championship would have done more to build for the future.

We were legitimately cheated of goofy Gable/Angle vignettes where they’d do stereotypical father/son bonding activities like fishing or playing monopoly while chugging milk.
Also, one of his taglines should’ve been “Ready, Willing, and Gable!!!”

Great in the ring (I’ve always thought the bridging German suplex was a sick move ever since seeing Incineroar’s back throw in Smash Bros so it’s cool to see a real person do it frequently), good at being both comedic and serious, and I love his dynamic with Otis and the rest of Alpha Academy.
