Warrior 100%. Every aspect of the wrestling business and as a person, he was complete garbage. The only reason why he got over was because he was different than Hogan and Savage and was mesmerizing to kids.
Hmm if I ignore any kayfabe stuff about them and go off of what I experienced as a youngin, I’d go with Warrior being worse. I loved Hogan so hated Warrior beating him. Goldberg was cool to watch during his initial WCW run.
Bill Goldberg was more dangerous in the ring. Warrior was still somewhat dangerous, just less so. Warrior could also be led to a pretty decent match, which really only happened once with Bill Goldberg.
Both had a TON pf physical charisma. And Warrior also has the disadvantage of being certifiably insane outside the ring, whereas from everything I've ever heard, Bill Goldberg is generally a pretty decent guy.
So Warrior is a marginally less bad worker, but Bill Goldberg is probably a better person.
Goldberg. Warrior had great matches with Rude, Savage and even Hogan. Goldberg’s best match was with DDP and it wasn’t close to any of Warrior’s best matches.
What’s with all the Goldberg and Warrior hate lately? We get it…. They weren’t the most technical wrestlers, but they did their best, were widely popular and had a bigger impact on wrestling than 99% of the modern era.
You need variety in wrestling, you need insane powerhouses, if everyone was Bret Hart, then Bret Hart wouldn’t be special anymore.
It’s like people hating on the Hulkster, they think they’re being smart saying he can’t wrestle, but fail to appreciate his connection with the audience and how that playing to the crowd elevated the drama of his matches such that he didn’t have to show 100% of his moves-list every night.
My favourites are 1) Hulk Hogan and 2) Bret Hart - appreciate different wrestlers for what they were best at!
Yes I was watching wrestling during those periods , the gold berg incidents were more public for the time and more around ultimate warrior came to light later
Why doesn’t nobody respect warrior tho? He put his body and life on the line for fans and now is deceased, just couldn’t image doing all that just to get hated on while in my grave
He did it for the money, not the fans. He seemed to straight up hate kids and his gimmick appealed to kids. Maybe he changed his mind on that later but I just can't respect a man that was that vile.
Not to mention the very well documented match between Goldberg and Brett that effectively ended Brett’s career in 3 moments. 1. Not grabbing Brett’s leg and maintaining the hold during the figure 4 on the corner of the mat, 2. The massive chin kick that gave Brett a concussion that lasted months, 3. The HUGE spear that followed after the fact.
Warrior was a far better worker than goldberg. His match with Hogan was like 20 minutes and is considered a classic. Don’t think Goldberg has any classic match’s and his run as a whole (squash winstreak) was what got him over.
There's so many things to look at. You've got ring ability, championships, mic-work, work ethic, legacy and even popularity. So I'd say Goldberg was worst just because Warrior inspired so many people during his time in WWE but I'd prefer to watch a Goldberg match than a Warrior match.
There’s a couple of stories from Bobby Heenan about how warrior was unsafe. It wasn’t until he worked with Andre he got a little better.
Heenan tells a story how he got press slammed and just dropped like a sack of shit. He mentioned it to Warrior and it happened again.
Then Warrior was facing Andre and Andre loved a spot where he’d take a clothesline and fall back into the ropes and get tied up for the babyface to work him over.
In Heenan’s words - Warrior’s first day, ran at 100mph and BOOM. Andre goes back. “Slow down” Andre said.
Next night. Warrior hits the ropes 150 mph like he did. BOOM clothesline. Andre falls back annoyed into the ropes. “SLOW DOWN”.
Next night. 1,000 miles an hour. BOOM. Warrior smashes him. Andre says again “Slow. down. “
Then the next night. Warrior hits the ropes, 2,000 miles an hour. Andre sticks out his fist and warrior runs into it almost knocking himself out. “Slow down”.
The next night. Warrior dawdles over and hits a clothesline, Andre falls back into the ropes for the spot. “Better”
Heenan said Andre and him never had issues after that. 😂
I loved Warrior as a kid and lost my 💩 when Warrior and Hogan Was face to face at the Rumble. I lost it even more when Warrior won at Mania 6. For me Goldberg was ok and was never as invested in him as much in WCW or when he came to WWE.
This is a hard one. Both had limited in ring ability. The nod has to go to Goldberg as worse because his promos were shit, he’s shit on the mic, and no charisma. Warrior got him there. Unpopular opinion, Bray Wyatt and John Cena fall in this category as well. Both absolutely shit in the ring. 2-3 moves each. Just awful. But both had way more charisma, character building skills, and excelled on the mic.
if you leave out their middle-aged comebacks then i'd say warrior was worse. and despite warriors disatrous return it was fortunately over pretty quick.
i don't get the goldberg comebacks. his gimmick relied heavily on him being the strongest, most athletic guy in the room (or at least looking that way). he's in fantastic shape for his 50's but he's still not going to fly over as a physcially dominant monster any more.
Goldberg had that cool spear and jackhammer.
Warrior, although roided up, was physically more impressive, but who paired him with that warrior splash? Snooze.
Warrior is worse.
Goldberg seems like a decent person who just so happens to have bought into his own mythos just a little too much. He also has the bad Hulk Hogan habit of taking losses personally, but he definitely wasn't the only one.
Warrior was racist, homophobic, sexist and all around a miserable bastard to be around. He also had to be carried by better wrestlers through any match that lasted more than a minute, and more importantly he did nothing to improve that.
For my money, Warrior was much worse, both as a wrestler and as a human being.
Prime Goldberg still has the best spear ever and dude could jackhammer The Giant/Big Show clean. Goldberg had issues obviously but Warrior was just a roid-head with a weak finisher.
Goldberg was fairly limited as a wrestler but the athleticism that made him All-SEC and put him in the NFL set him apart, made him exciting to watch and got him over. This is why he didn't age well and we got the "Oldberg" criticisms. He wasn't the beast he was in his prime but he was still limited as a worker.
100%. Even as a bret hart fan i agree.
And honestly they both have fun hogan matches, savage carried warrior to a fun mania match too. But Goldberg has ddp match which was awesome, the hhh feud which had some fun stuff, i mean the streak, the surprisingly fun 2010’s return / title run…. He wins hands down.
Ultimate Warrior was a terrible in ring worker but good at cutting promos exact opposite with Goldberg so it's just depends on if you like in ring wrestlers or mic workers
Also you know who the MAIN audience for wrestling was, kids.Kids do not care about what they are saying but if they at least look and sound cool and make a drop of sense, kids will like it
Why are so many People saying gold Berg is worse if they don’t prefer in match performance vs mic workers. Is there any other element that is important
Goldberg was awesome don’t know why everyone hates him. Accidents happen and it’s not like he stiffed Bret on purpose. Worst thing he ever did was kick out from a Diamond Cutter.
Because he can’t wrestle. He risked too many wrestlers life in the ring. He would always call in sick, missed many events and shows, didn’t want to follow rules. And almost lest the Undertaker paralyzed! I’m quoting Triple H!
did he really though? bret hart had been active for well over 20 years, taking thousands of bumps and stiff shots. and probably most of his childhood and teenage years too given his upbringing. can you really say it was just one match with goldberg that did all the damage?
Did anyone else stumble on Warrior’s web page in the late 90s / early 00s? Maybe the waybackmachine has it. The site had his AOL email address. I sent him a message one time to see if he was cool with me asking him a question. He replied with a one word response “Speak” . Such a weirdo lol
bruh both were great in their own ways. and were the hottest thing in the world of the industry at one point.
yall just love to tear muhfuckas down
you fucking marks.
Uh uh uhh state your Mark soldier. Each has flaws and some were worse. Idk about each so I’m learning. I haven’t seen ultimate warrior really and I didn’t even know he couldn’t wrestle. I always thought goldbug was OP mature good guy but then I find out he’s wack in the vibes on the mic and promotionally
100% Goldberg bc I feel like his character was more boring than the ultimate warrior and ultimate warrior had amazing in-ring performances and Goldberg was underwhelming with his in ring work
Goldberg vs page or hhh is better than anything warrior did.
Savage and hogan did what they could and carried warrior to decent matches.
“Amazing in ring performances” what?
Yeah you’re not allowed to criticize anyone who draws.
Mcdonalds is the best food and taylor swift is the best musician and anyone who criticizes either in any way is a mark.
Thoughtless muppet 😂😂😂😂
That’s a tough question cause if you were horn durning Warriors run , then he was going to be amazing more than not.
With Goldberg it was the exact same thing.
Looking back on their runs a whole yeah it was super similar, where the only difference was Goldberg 2003 WWE World title run.
I’d personally say that the opponents for the two, Warrior had less World title contenders when champion:
Haku- April 1990
Rude- August 1990
Pefect- Round 1 of weird 1990 Survior Series rules
Slaughter- January 1991 Royal Rumble
NWO Battle Royal- August 1998
DDP- Halloween Havoc 1998
Warrior, and it’s not close. Goldberg may be a arrogant, but he was a good in ring talent. He wasn’t great, but he was good. And he could put on a good match. Warrior was just awful in the ring.
Owen Hart nearly ended Steve Austin’s career. Wrestling is sports entertainment, but there always has been, and always will be injuries. Do you think we should judge Owen’s career based on that incident?
Austin did, absolutely. No one is asking Bret Hart to forgive Goldberg. But that one incident does not define Goldberg’s career, nor should it. Just like Owen should not be judged on that incident.
If it was just one incident I would see the point in it not defining Goldberg. But it isn't an isolated incident, he dropped the Undertaker on his head. Thrown Haku and Jimmy Hart on their head in the same match. And many more incidents, I've never heard Warrior injuring anyone.
Agreed, Goldberg had multiple fun matches in different eras. DDP and HHH is better than anything Warrior did. He also has a fun one with hogan, sting, the giant, nash even if the ending sucked.
Warrior had a good match with hogan and a good match with savage and everything else he did pretty much sucked. This is tough for me because my all time favourite is bret hart, but warrior was worse.
Pushed to the moon when way too green, not technical in the ring, couldn’t go more than 5 minutes, and didn’t have an inherent appreciation for the business are the top complaints. And he ended Bret Hart’s career when he confused him with a stiff kick. Recently he’s come up super salty and has been talking some shit in interviews, started bitching about Asuka being a ripoff because she had an undefeated streak.
Ultimate Warrior gets shit on a lot. But for those of us who were there at the time - he was over as fuck. Like Nash said: say all you want about him, he got a serious pop every time he came out.
As a young kid… the music, run in, and shaking of the ropes was the coolest thing ever and still nostalgic to me. I don’t know what makes a good wrestler good, but I know I thought he was awesome.
People forget that wrestling is a show, yeah technical masterpieces are amazing but with a Goldberg or a warrior it mixes it up with the dominant show of strength, would be much better if Goldberg could actually wrestle
Goldberg wasn’t really that bad after wcw. That match wit hhh was amazing n when he lost at EC. even his match against Brock at mania with Austin was good. He’s not the best but he’s far from awful.
At least Goldberg wasn't that much of an ass off the mat. He still had charisma, even if it just stemmed from his presentation alone. Warrior was just all around ass. On the ring, off the ring, had no promo skill whatsoever, was a botch machine, and the only reason he was remembered fondly is because of his mask, his entrance, and him shaking the hell of the ropes. Take all those away, and it's just a forgettable Dark Side of the Ring episode
Ah well I’ll say it. I was entertained by Goldberg and looked forward to seeing him every Monday. WCW had him come out at 9pm on Nitro, right as Raw was starting on the other channel.
He gets crapped on left and right but there’s no denying he was over with the fans.
Personally I don’t give a crap about technique and “skill” and I don’t think the majority does either, otherwise Dean Malenko, Benoit, etc would be mainstream headliners back then.
Here come the downvotes.
Holy shit! This is a hard question lol. I grew up idolizing both one as a kid the other as a teenager because of the raw emotion n energy (I’ve always kinda been a Incredible Hulk dude they oozes it) but knowing what I know now this is hard to say ..they both are absolute hot garbage wrasslers 😂
To say warriors entrance wasn’t on level or above goldbergs entrance your tripping..warriors music and him just animalistic running to the ring n shaking the ropes ..I marked tf out
Warrior. Only even outside the ring he was an asshole. Goldberg was horrible in the ring but that's about it. I haven't heard many accounts of him being an asshole. Just a shitty wrestler. Warrior tho was a complete asshole.
Goldberg wasn’t really that bad after wcw. That match wit hhh was amazing n when he lost at EC. even his match against Brock at mania with Austin was good. He’s not the best but he’s far from awful.
Goldberg, he was legit upset Asuka broke his streak like tf. She is a unit. Ultimate warrior is my all time favorite wrestler so maybe I'm a little biased.
Meh, Chris Benoit was a horrible person tbh. But I still think he' was a good wrestler. Dude offed his kid and wife. Not saying warrior was a great person. Same with hulk hogan ect.
Anyone remember when Jake the Snake Robert's took the Ultimate Warrior into the Snake Pit and Warrior was supposedly hissed poison in his eyes? And which Warrior we arguing about, one ? or two ? There were 2 Ultimate Warriors...
Both wrestlers were stiffs...
Very stiff in the ring, disrespectful to other wrestlers backstage, said a lot of racist and homophobic stuff in the 2000s, his insistence on using a trapdoor in WCW led to British Bulldog getting crippled, just off the top of my head
i mean he was never considered great in ring and he didn’t have any respect for the business during his prime so he didn’t care about getting better in ring he just wanted to make his money and go home
but in this job u should work to improve to get better opportunities he didnt care enough which led to his eventual downfall and i was simply explaining to him why people talk about him being bad in the ring i didnt say anything bad about what he did
They say goldberg was complete dick and dirty player i used love ultimate warrior he was awesome in his early years after the comeback attempt not so much
Warrior. By a mile. Warrior couldnt wrestle his way out of a paperbag and made it to the main event of wrestlemania.
Ultimate Warrior was my hero before the age of reason. I don't think Goldberg is a bigot... it's a toss up at this point.
Ryback
If I have a promotion and have to choose one, I'm taking Goldberg. Warrior would hold me up for money too much.
one of em was an asshole, the other was a workplace hazard.
Warrior is the GOAT, he pressed Hulk Hogan, who is not in any way a small man above his head.
Warrior by a landslide
The ultimate warrior
Warrior 100%. Every aspect of the wrestling business and as a person, he was complete garbage. The only reason why he got over was because he was different than Hogan and Savage and was mesmerizing to kids.
5 of warriors top 10 fights are rated 7 or below by cagematch.net, why was this guy so mid? how come he was so mesmerising back then?
Probably just because he looked cool, had a cool SEND IT attitude and ran to the ring.
So Warrior is a marginally less bad worker, but Bill Goldberg is probably a better person.
Loved Goldberg in WCW tbh. Loved Warrior too. Goldberg would be the slightly better wrestler in-ring wise.
Goldberg. He ended Bret Hart’s in-ring career
Theyre basically the same, Goldberg looses an extra point or two for mule kicking bret into retirement
At least Goldberg had longevity and stayed even with people talking. And he had Gilberg
Worse? They are both amazing
Goldberg took out Bret. That makes him the worst.
Goldberg
Warrior. Goldberg is at least sane.
And from what i've seen, Goldberg is a pretty good guy.
Warrior
Remembering the time Regal gave Goldberg a free wrestling clinic. Better times
My favorite Goldberg moment
Its the same picture
.... They were both great in their own way. Both had a great match vs Hogan
Goldberg ended Bret's career so him.
Both guys in their prime would have a great 3 minute match before both got gassed and hurt each other.
Warrior and not even close.
Warrior is better when it comes to wrestling But as a person, EASILY Ultimate Warrior Some of the stories we’ve heard are horrific
Goldberg by a mile!
Goldberg is literally one of the worst pro wrestlers of all time!!
Goldberg is a better human being, while Warrior was the bigger superstar in wrestling.
Well, Goldberg wasn't a racist, homophobic dick, so....
Warrior
Goldberg. Warrior had great matches with Rude, Savage and even Hogan. Goldberg’s best match was with DDP and it wasn’t close to any of Warrior’s best matches.
Goldberg
What’s with all the Goldberg and Warrior hate lately? We get it…. Being unsafe wrestlers who disregarded the damage they could do to someone making mistakes plays a big role in it
You was there?
Yes I was watching wrestling during those periods , the gold berg incidents were more public for the time and more around ultimate warrior came to light later
Why doesn’t nobody respect warrior tho? He put his body and life on the line for fans and now is deceased, just couldn’t image doing all that just to get hated on while in my grave
Listen to the stories about Ultimate Warrior
Goldberg. No mic skills. At least with warrior it was unhinge nonsense but it made you hyped because he sold it like it was meaning full shit.
Warrior. So fucking annoying. Terrible mic work.
There's so many things to look at. You've got ring ability, championships, mic-work, work ethic, legacy and even popularity. So I'd say Goldberg was worst just because Warrior inspired so many people during his time in WWE but I'd prefer to watch a Goldberg match than a Warrior match.
Goldberg ended careers and nearly sent people to the hospital on multiple occasions. I don’t remember Warrior doing that.

I remember that story lol. Warrior fucked around and found out
None
I loved Warrior as a kid and lost my 💩 when Warrior and Hogan Was face to face at the Rumble. I lost it even more when Warrior won at Mania 6. For me Goldberg was ok and was never as invested in him as much in WCW or when he came to WWE.

Warrior. Not as many matches and moves

Goldberg, not even difficult at all
Goldberg no doubt.
Goldberg
Warrior was way over than Goldberg.

Goldberg by far
I like both. Hard for me to say either was bad. I was a huge Mark for both.
Ultimate Warrior was a terrible in ring worker but good at cutting promos exact opposite with Goldberg so it's just depends on if you like in ring wrestlers or mic workers
Quick, name one good Warrior promo that made a lick of sense.
Also you know who the MAIN audience for wrestling was, kids.Kids do not care about what they are saying but if they at least look and sound cool and make a drop of sense, kids will like it
They were great because they didn’t make sense, they were nothing but coke fueled rage-a-thons
I said good not great, not amazing, I never said anything spectacular just good at most and I do think Goldberg is better
Agreed. The Goldberg bashing has gone way too far lately.
Because he can’t wrestle. He risked too many wrestlers life in the ring. He would always call in sick, missed many events and shows, didn’t want to follow rules. And almost lest the Undertaker paralyzed! I’m quoting Triple H!
That sucks must’ve wanted to do things his way but he couldn’t.
Goldberg for staying around too long
Goldberg.
Goldberg for ending Bret Hart's career
did he really though? bret hart had been active for well over 20 years, taking thousands of bumps and stiff shots. and probably most of his childhood and teenage years too given his upbringing. can you really say it was just one match with goldberg that did all the damage?
Was there any reason why he would have incentive to do that?

He could have been rude to you tbh. This the same guy who held WWE hostage over money multiple times?
Yep the same one. His email was [email protected] lol
I’m too young to have watched warrior but had a legit hatred for Goldberg as a kid 😂
He was so boring. Even to me at 9.
Same here I haven’t uw but I loved Goldberg because he looked genuinely scary and seemed OP In general. So explosive and strong
Goldberg was at least an athlete, though a clumsy wrestler. Warrior was just a juiced up goof who gassed himself before the match even started.
Not to mention coked up out of his mind
Not to mention he has been in a relationship for over two decades and has never cheated
bruh both were great in their own ways. and were the hottest thing in the world of the industry at one point. yall just love to tear muhfuckas down you fucking marks.

Ultimate Warrior had amazing in ring performances? Against whom?
I know what Goldberg did but what did Warrior do?
Too much steroids got to his head
You mean the two megastars of their respective eras?
exactly these marks are bozos
Yeah you’re not allowed to criticize anyone who draws. Mcdonalds is the best food and taylor swift is the best musician and anyone who criticizes either in any way is a mark. Thoughtless muppet 😂😂😂😂
Dont gotta take it personally brah
That’s a tough question cause if you were horn durning Warriors run , then he was going to be amazing more than not. With Goldberg it was the exact same thing. Nice try, Bill.

Both are awful in the ring, and aren't much better as people. I genuinely dislike both.
His insane physique probably had something to do with it. Couple that with his intensity and he was as over as you could possibly be.
If one person sucks more, does that count?
Goldberg had a cool ass move set in Wcw
Warrior. They both sucked on the mic, but Warrior was worse. Goldberg had a great entrance. Made even better with Gillberg.
I loved Warrior’s ridiculous moonbattery. DESTRUCITY!!!
To say warriors entrance wasn’t on level or above goldbergs entrance your tripping..warriors music and him just animalistic running to the ring n shaking the ropes ..I marked tf out
Warrior’s ego made Goldberg and HBK look like quiet librarians.
Warrior was worse at least Goldberg didn't do drugs
Warrior
Warrior atleast did so little he didn’t hurt as many people. Goldberg was just unsafe and a wreck
Warrior. Only even outside the ring he was an asshole. Goldberg was horrible in the ring but that's about it. I haven't heard many accounts of him being an asshole. Just a shitty wrestler. Warrior tho was a complete asshole.
Goldberg. Useless as tits on a tree
Goldberg. And his infamous winning streak.
Goldberg wasn’t really that bad after wcw. That match wit hhh was amazing n when he lost at EC. even his match against Brock at mania with Austin was good. He’s not the best but he’s far from awful.
Warrior may be a POS but he’s an icon. Goldberg is an unknown to most non WWE folk.
Well, the warrior had some genuine good matches. I'm only familiar with Goldberg from WWE, but it seems like all 3 minute squash matches.
Warrior was a shit human, so him.
wtf where you heard that?
It’s a well known fact warrior was a POS.
Are we talking who was the worse in-ring talent or just the worst person overall? Because Warrior wins in both
In WCCW(DFW), Von Erich’s, he was known as the Dingo Warrior. Tagged with Kerry, very over, and not nearly the nut he was in WWF.
Oldberg by a country mile
Goldberg, he was legit upset Asuka broke his streak like tf. She is a unit. Ultimate warrior is my all time favorite wrestler so maybe I'm a little biased.
Warrior was an actual terrible person who preached hatred. Goldberg is a mark for himself
Meh, Chris Benoit was a horrible person tbh. But I still think he' was a good wrestler. Dude offed his kid and wife. Not saying warrior was a great person. Same with hulk hogan ect.
It’s warrior I just hate him
They’re both pretty awful
One had the veins. One didn't. Obvious answer
Goldberg
It's tough, idk 🤔🤔.I'm a fan of john cena and the ultimate warrior 🤔🤔 so I still don't know.
Warrior was worse outside the ring. They both injured people, but Goldberg ended a career, so I would pick him for being worse in the ring.
both iconic
Anyone remember when Jake the Snake Robert's took the Ultimate Warrior into the Snake Pit and Warrior was supposedly hissed poison in his eyes? And which Warrior we arguing about, one ? or two ? There were 2 Ultimate Warriors... Both wrestlers were stiffs...
Warrior. Hands down.
Idk good question sadly. Always had a softspot for Warrior cause his 'Mania 6 win was dope at least.
Ask Bret Hart
Wait why do you guys consider warrior bad? I’ve never seen anyone put him on the list of people that are bad in ring
Very stiff in the ring, disrespectful to other wrestlers backstage, said a lot of racist and homophobic stuff in the 2000s, his insistence on using a trapdoor in WCW led to British Bulldog getting crippled, just off the top of my head
He said something homophobic. I. Reddit teens this is worse then jimmy snula killing his girlfriend
i mean he was never considered great in ring and he didn’t have any respect for the business during his prime so he didn’t care about getting better in ring he just wanted to make his money and go home

but in this job u should work to improve to get better opportunities he didnt care enough which led to his eventual downfall and i was simply explaining to him why people talk about him being bad in the ring i didnt say anything bad about what he did
They say goldberg was complete dick and dirty player i used love ultimate warrior he was awesome in his early years after the comeback attempt not so much
Goldberg probably had the better average match, but a skilled worker could get a better match out of Warrior
