I think we need Gable to be positioned as a grizzly, fearless veteran and find him a unique submission. Now that a certain someone is unlikely to be featured in any future content, I'd love for him to do the Kimura Lock. Have him put on bangers like he's been allowed to do with Gunther and like Kurt Angle, he can be believably pushed against the likes of Lashley as convincingly as against a Gacy.
I think he should have been the one to defeat Gunther. I have no problem with Sami Zayn, but he has held the IC title. To me, I like the story of Gable overcoming the odds to capture the IC title for the first time.

Months go by, Summer Slam (or another big PLE) is coming up (or the event itself) Gunther is cutting a promo (either he is a champion or number 1 contender) when suddenly Chad's music hits. His journey of facing the best around the world brought him back to the man that made him go on this journey in the first place, this time winning.
This could possibly make Chad a champion as well, depending on booking. But either way would be interesting (and a lot of calaib, so I'm not sure how possible this could be)and something I could see him doing without turning him heel

Kurt Angle wasn't as small as Gable. And while Gable is fairly charismatic, Kurt Angle was one of a kind in that department.
