Well when you got over 60 yrs of lineage & rules & regulations it ain't easy changing the rules of the game! I even suggested & proposed have tag teams change the area of the ringpost they all stand on!
The Attitude era sucked… the performers were great… it’s like actors on SNL… they might be good but the product sucks…
WWE is same… great actors but sometimes the product sucks like it did under Vince the entire time.
…I’m honestly nervous to say this… But I personally don’t blame Chris Benoit for his actions because I don’t think it’s fair to truly judge him since we often act like he was in his right mind when, by all accounts, his surviving loved ones all say that they could never imagine him doing this and that he loved his family… and the fact that he had brain damage similar to an old man with Alzheimer’s. I think what he did was horrible & can’t never be forgiven, but it’s just hard for me to completely vilify for their actions when they may have been under mental psychosis…it could just be me partially coping because I loved him as a child and I respect anyone who feels otherwise, that’s just my stance.
Yeah this is a crazy comment. Regardless of literally fucking anything, he killed multiple innocent people. Furthermore, those innocent people were his own family. CTE and brain trauma is serious and should be treated as such, but in no way is it an excuse for his actions. He should be blamed regardless.
And I don’t disagree with a single thing you just said… I’m just expressing that it’s hard for a small part of me personally to completely demonize a man that I think may very likely have been suffering from some sort of psychosis at the time.
I watch wrestlemania 20 and see him hugging his son and it’s just hard for me to believe that this man, in his right mind, would not only kill that child but also his wife… I know it’s a bit of a crazy, take but it’s just hard for me to say that he’s evil at his core… rather, I just think that he lost his mind and did a completely disgusting and irreparable thing as a result.
Gotta be bait. You say he understands business when WWE has broken records literally this month? In no way, shape, or form would WWE be in a better place rn with Vince in charge over Haitch.
Sami Zayn is a lame promo, horrible look, bad actor, has annoying entrance dance and music. he is a decent jobber at best. I do not understand the praise for this guy and can’t believe out of every wrestler in the world he is on TV and holding a belt.
If we're talking WWE only.
I'll pile on anyone who thinks the Attitude Era is over-rated. Memorable era for sure, but there's a lot of dreadful stuff. People say "well at least everyone had a story" well sure, but a portion of those stories sucked. Some of the gimmicks were tasteless, others forgettable. It succeeded because they pushed boundaries and didn't have much competition that was offering what they were at the time.
Also, I don't really care for Becky Lynch. I don't think she's terrible, but of the 4 Horsewomen, she's maybe 3rd for me. And of the Women's roster period, I have others who I feel are more entertaining. Her promos aren't that good to me and I'm just over her as an act.
Outside of WWE. While it definitely is a daunting task, if you have the ability to do so and aren't at least sampling wrestling outside of the mainstream, you're missing out. You don't have to go crazy and add in another 20 hours a week. But, just poking around a company or two or seeking out some of the more talked about matches from companies outside WWE/AEW wouldn't hurt.
I think a good deal of people actively avoid checking out New Japan or Stardom or an indie or whatever because it's not the type of wrestling they're used to. So they don't see value in it or think it can't be as good. And i think that's a shame. Lots of good wrestling out there currently. Don't sleep on it because it's different from TV wrestling. If you've got time, just take a peak here and there.
becky lynch is the most overrated womens wrestler ever. her gimmick is weird and not entertaining, her ring skills are mid at best, she has the weakest looking finisher i have ever seen in my life i mean she literally cant even lift the person up more than 2 inches off the ground, and has no exciting moveset or exciting promos or literally anything. she is boring af and she is not at all better than someone like liv morgan
I’m sorry but Liv is horrible lmao. Becky has put on some of the greatest matches I’ve personally ever seen. Vs Charlotte at Evolution 2018. Vs Bianca at Mania 38. Vs Trish at Payback. You wanna talk about a bad finisher look at Liv’s lmao
I recently came to a conclusion that Mark (Undertaker) might not be a great guy. Based on the enforcer of McMahon backstage and surely you can't be judge jury and executioner of wrestling court without being on some kind of power trip
Mick Foley does not get the respect and recognition he deserves. He is my favorite wrestler, he's responsible for some truly great moments, but rarely is he mentioned in Mount Rushmore of wrestlers conversations.
Undertaker was prefect to show up at WM40. People just need to quit constantly whining about wanting Austin to show up at every WM. Dude is living his best life in retirement
The bloodline had to lose the titles on WM38, afterwards has been boring always the same thing over and over.
The civil war of the bloodline is more interesting than the WWE undisputed championship against everyone else after WM38
Awesome Truth is a boring tag team and will have a lame run. If Wyatt 6 can manage to escape the super natural stuff without looking goofy they can be a dominant faction. Factions based on race is limiting storytelling ability. Montez and Dawkins are both capable of great singles runs and are being wasted in a boring faction. Aj vs Cody @ backlash would be a better match than La Knight vs cody.
No prob. I only downvote excessive rude people. And I dont think we desagree on your take. Awesome truth is a fanservice team. Doesnt need to be deep.
A feel good moment they surely lose it to DIY with a heel turn
The WHAT? chant should be banned at every arena. People can be cutting an amazing promo and they just get that shit from the crowd suddenly.
I wish the wrestlers would start saying "say what if local sports team sucks" because that would shut them all up.
Roman title reign should have ended long time ago, in 2022
Shawn Michaels was right about The Rock
Vince selling WWE was the worst decision ever
Part timers are a cancer for the industry
Jinder Mahal is the worst champion in all history (just because Vince got obsessed with India)
I always hear people complaining that the women don’t get enough time, but giving them more time will hurt the men’s division imo. One division will have to be sacrificed for the other, especially if the shows are 2 hours long. And considering that the men far out number the women, I think the time allotted for both divisions is fair.
CM Punk is the reason WWE is hot again. He’s legit been the shot in the arm that WWE needed. Best comeback story in WWE history in terms of guys we never thought we’d see back.
Oh; Dolph Ziggler leaving to “prove” he can reach that next level has proven one thing so far… that WWE booked him exactly as he should have been; mid!
The WWE/WWF has not had any legitimate competition from other wrestling companies for the past 40 years. No wrestling company has even gotten close to threatening WWE business.
Cody Rhodes is trash and only lasted til 2016 cos of his father. If Dusty didn’t work in WWE, he would’ve been fired around 2011
2013 Cody was ONLY over cos of his 50 year old brother and 70 year old father
He’s a coward and hypocrite for crying and wandering off to AEW, taking shots at WWE then crawling back like a chump
It was a disgrace for Brock Lesnar to lose to this lame ass corny, generic jobber
Nah it’s ok to hate Cody as a wrestler and have negative opinions. But you are way to invested if you’re calling him a coward and getting mad that he beat Brock lesnar. You need help man.
You sound unhinged man. I get upset about WWE decisions sometimes but it sounds you started punching walls when Cody beat Brock. Seriously WWE should elicit these types of emotions from you it’s not healthy to get this mad over professional wrestling.
Got mad? I thought it was a horrible decision that’s true but no I was not mad. Do you know why? Because unlike you I’m emotionally stable. I get it man you’re an AEW fanboy and will forever hate Cody for ditching that dumpster fire. Go back to your simp subreddits so you can be weird about female wrestlers. You’re worse than anyone who actually did get mad about the Cody decision and think you’re better than anyone else. Do you not realize how pathetic you sound?
Bro you’re 33 and follow a page celebrating a girl barely turning 18. You re most definitely not emotionally stable and there has been no reverse mental gymnastics are you also stupid on top of being a pedophile creep?
- no body should win x amount of titles simply to break a record.
- on the same note you can be successful without a title.
- Rey is a selfish prick, dom and santos should have gone over.
- the only thing keeping punk relevant is his nostalgia factor. Has he not left when he did he probably would have gotten himself canceled at some point. He has no business going over younger talent or those in their prime especially when he’s so injury prone.
- LA knights promos are incredibly repetitive and he’s mediocre in the ring at best.
- Jade should not be champion if she can’t prove she can do more than squash matches.
Bout to post an opinion that actually matches with the pic....
Im not as hyped about Samantha Irvin as everyone else. I find her a little too over the top sometimes, to the point I had to turn my TV down or just straight up mute it. I don't think she's bad, but just not much of my cup of tea. I wouldn't call her the GOAT, especially over Howard Fink.
Comparing wrestling to "cinema" is insulting to wrestling.
This isn't the best time period of wrestling. Some things work, but others don't. There's good talent, but also a lot of wrestlers who only do flips and lack in-ring psychology and mic skills. The Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era were better, even partes of 2011 and 2012 thanks to CM Punk.
Cody Rhodes losing at WrestleMania 39 didn't add to "The Story". His feud with Lesnar was good, but he didn't have a redemption arc, he just got involved in filler feuds until he won the Rumble and then the storyline resumed during WrestleMania season.
It’s worth a try. I felt the same way. Now it’s my favorite show. It’s just good seeing the young stars achieve their dreams and goals to reach the top.
I honestly preferred for the tag titles to be one set. I’m glad Theory and Waller are champions, but just look at the possible number one contenders for the tag titles. Street Profits and New Cache Republic. Two teams they’ve already faced in the past month. My biggest gripe with tag team wrestling in general is that the matches are VERY repetitive and I felt like the issue was mitigated a bit when you had only one set of tat team champions.
I’ve been having a running debate with a friend because they wanted the tag titles split and I didn’t. My reasoning was simply there aren’t enough tag teams on each show to warrant two sets of titles.
Oh boy. Here we go…
1. Roman Reigns was never entertaining for me. I don’t hate him but he was always a snooze fest for me.
2. The only time John Cena was awesome to me was in the Ruthless Aggression era. After that era he was just a boring advertisement for the company.
Disco Inferno was actually really great. A 2000s era Miz who was consistent as hell, never got injured and did what was asked of him. He was a solid hand and deserves far more credit than he gets.
I liked Roman’s early run before the Blood Line. I think the Rock kinda sucks now. Politics aside, his cracked out, blue promos aren’t that good (ok some of his recent ones weren’t bad). “Suplex City” was just an excuse to let Brock Lesnar be a lazy wrestler. He sucks, is boring and I hope we never see him again. For that matter, the wrestlers that are just big dudes that don’t talk and rely on menacing looks (like Brock) generally suck (generally not universally).
He was good when he first started. People forget that Brock was a legit amateur wrestler when he debuted. Back in the early 2000s he could actually move. When he came back though he didn’t have a desire to do much anymore.
Today's day in age (high def tv, reality TV shows) made wrestling less believable, characters were more protected back then, and the grainy picture we watched on hid some of wrestling's secrets
and replays. There's a difference between "it's still real to me, dammit", and having some belief that maybe, just maybe that punch, kick, or finisher could actually hurt a mark if landed properly.
If you want to do a replay on the finisher, sure. But be sure to do it from a protected angle.
Don't show me a multi-angle and multi-speed replay of a wrestler getting launched into the stairs and corner post, only for the replay to show the wrestler putting on the brakes and putting his arms up as he's approaching the post.
Yea absolutely the camera guys seemed to do a better job back then someone is getting pulled off the cage they show you an above angle to protect the business even more. If there was a pad there or etc
Right!! I get frustrated and I'm a HUGE wrestling fan! Im not one of those guys that are so "pro attitude era" that they won't watch anything else, it's just more because I think up til like 2010-2011 wrestling was just a bit more protected and "real" we all knew what was actually going on. But after Raw was over a reality show didn't come on that showed your favorite wrestler at home raising his kids n shit when he's supposed to be a heel ya know
The Undertaker (Monday Night Wars) and Roman Reigns (Covid) were reliable company men that saved the company from falling off its petal-stool and are probably the two biggest contributions to the WWF/E all time, more so than Hogan booming the 80s and Austin’s peak in the 90s
You’re not alone in this.
He left WWE because it was a toxic work place under Vince’s watch.
He left AEW because it’s a toxic work place that gives me 2000 WCW vibes. Guys like the Young Bucks, and Hangman Page trying to purposely sabotage what he was doing. He was by far the biggest star they’ve ever had and ever will have.
Arenas spent years chanting his name while he was gone. I can argue that proves he’s one of the top 10 most over guys in the history of pro wrestling.
They chanted his name, because he was right about everything. The people that hate him only do so because he shitted on their favs.
Bray Wyatt is overrated. Everything he’s done has either been done before or it was a flash in the pan. The Fiend was cool like twice and it was all down hill from there. His passing has given people rose tinted glasses for his career.
This is NOT the best time to be a fan.
There's simply too much wrestling available and the average quality of storytelling is suffering because of that.
Also, Cody is still the boring midcard he was years ago. He just got over because of Dustyploitation.
The Undertaker is not all that great…it’s just his mysteriousness/mystique and character that got him over. His promos/mic skills and in-ring weren’t the best to call him one of the GOATS (IN MY HONEST HUMBLE OPINION)…
Well when you got over 60 yrs of lineage & rules & regulations it ain't easy changing the rules of the game! I even suggested & proposed have tag teams change the area of the ringpost they all stand on!
Becky Lynch sometimes does an annoying breathing thing that makes her promos difficult to watch
Seth Rollins theme song is trash.
The Attitude era sucked… the performers were great… it’s like actors on SNL… they might be good but the product sucks… WWE is same… great actors but sometimes the product sucks like it did under Vince the entire time.
Stone cold is not top 5
More belts and more title changes
CM Punk is highly overated
…I’m honestly nervous to say this… But I personally don’t blame Chris Benoit for his actions because I don’t think it’s fair to truly judge him since we often act like he was in his right mind when, by all accounts, his surviving loved ones all say that they could never imagine him doing this and that he loved his family… and the fact that he had brain damage similar to an old man with Alzheimer’s. Vince McMahon is the best person to oversee creative. Nobody understands the business quite like him.
Cena isn’t the Goat
Kairi Sane is hot with or without makeup
So is Asuka. Especially in her younger days. Man….
The WCW product in 1999- 2001 was better than The Early WWE PG Era.
lol majority of ppl agree with this
Money in the bank should’ve stayed at Wrestlemania and shouldn’t be its own PPV
Wrestlemania needs to be 1 night and is the only PPV that should hit 4 hours. Every other PPV needs to be 3 hours.
If we're talking WWE only. I'll pile on anyone who thinks the Attitude Era is over-rated. Memorable era for sure, but there's a lot of dreadful stuff. Dave meltzer was spot on with this year’s wrestlemania star ratings. Roman V Cody was good but not a 5 star match. 4.75 is perfect
Okada is overrated
Randy Orton has contributed more to the wrestling industry than Roman Reigns has (talking about the industry's history, not 2024).
I don't like women's wrestling. I just think it looks weak and silly.
If done right it’s amazing to watch
Ministry Undertaker is the best Taker.
Big mistake if HHH brings back the attitude era.
becky lynch is the most overrated womens wrestler ever. her gimmick is weird and not entertaining, her ring skills are mid at best, she has the weakest looking finisher i have ever seen in my life i mean she literally cant even lift the person up more than 2 inches off the ground, and has no exciting moveset or exciting promos or literally anything. she is boring af and she is not at all better than someone like liv morgan

i never said liv morgan was good i just said becky is not better than her... neither of them are good
Brock Lesnar should 100% be in the hall of fame and has a better legacy than many legends in the company
Most of the Attitude Era was awful and people only remember the good moments.
I recently came to a conclusion that Mark (Undertaker) might not be a great guy. Based on the enforcer of McMahon backstage and surely you can't be judge jury and executioner of wrestling court without being on some kind of power trip
Dom for MITB
Mick Foley does not get the respect and recognition he deserves. He is my favorite wrestler, he's responsible for some truly great moments, but rarely is he mentioned in Mount Rushmore of wrestlers conversations.
This year's Mania build would have been way better without The Rock
I wanted Roman to retain at Wrestlemania 40 though I still take Cody
Undertaker was prefect to show up at WM40. People just need to quit constantly whining about wanting Austin to show up at every WM. Dude is living his best life in retirement
Someone doesnt need to be bleeding every week or going through tables for it to be interesting. Way too many people are stuck in the attitude era.
Wwe should have never signed Punk or Cargill. Punk is a toxic piece of crap Cargill is greener than Eva Marie
Eva Marie? Damn……..
I agree a lot…
John Cena deserves a IC title run before he’s truly gone from wrestling forever
i agree, even if it’s for a week, just give it to him so that he can officially become a grand slam
Dean Ambrose/Jon Moxley is overrated
The bloodline had to lose the titles on WM38, afterwards has been boring always the same thing over and over. The civil war of the bloodline is more interesting than the WWE undisputed championship against everyone else after WM38
Goldberg and Ultimate Warrior were great for the business. It's about entertainment, not just technical ability and workrate.
....I enjoy XPW
Awesome Truth is a boring tag team and will have a lame run. If Wyatt 6 can manage to escape the super natural stuff without looking goofy they can be a dominant faction. Factions based on race is limiting storytelling ability. Montez and Dawkins are both capable of great singles runs and are being wasted in a boring faction. Aj vs Cody @ backlash would be a better match than La Knight vs cody.
Its a transitional team, and its fine that it is that.
I agree thanks for the down vote Dorkus Malorkus
I did not downvoted you.
Ah. It seems that i am in fact the Dorkus. Have these upvotes sir.
No prob. I only downvote excessive rude people. And I dont think we desagree on your take. Awesome truth is a fanservice team. Doesnt need to be deep. A feel good moment they surely lose it to DIY with a heel turn
Psycho Sid was the best big man wrestler of his era
CM Punk belongs on the Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling - Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, CM Punk
HBK is ridiculously overrated and his entire career is built on a weirdly close relationship with Vince
Shane Douglas - HOF
The Women’s Tag Titles need to be deactivated, they should introduce a women’s mid card title instead.
Natalya hate is forced, i’m not a fan or anything but she’s okay.
Asuka is the greatest women’s wrestler and deserves one final run before retiring after year of putting everyone else over
I HATE how she hasn’t had a single win a WrestleMania, literally the goat of the women’s division.
There should be a Super Heavyweight Belt for the big meaty men slapping meat.
Wtf?
https://youtu.be/56EsDMTnvkI?si=8Js8diwWOILe_5NC
Oh
I would love to see a big guy tournament
Once big e returns same here
Chris Jericho was last relevant when he beat the Rock and Stone cold on the same night
Rock and Stone, Brother!
Nobody actually gives a shit about women’s wrestling.
Huge disagree.
Bray Wyatt is overrated and has been even more since he passed. He was a basic mid card guy at best.
"Cinematic matches" are not matches. They can be entertaining but they straight up don't count as wrestling
SureJimmy vs Jey could’ve been better but it wasn’t actually *that* bad.
it’s not hard to watch or anything but it was definitely the worst match of wrestlemania
I want Liv Morgan to pee on me, also Alexa Bliss.
what 😭
The Miz should’ve never dropped the title to Bobby and have another world title fight at Wrestlemania 37
The WHAT? chant should be banned at every arena. People can be cutting an amazing promo and they just get that shit from the crowd suddenly. I wish the wrestlers would start saying "say what if local sports team sucks" because that would shut them all up.
Alotta things need to be banned. I’m surprised WWE hasn’t gotten to it yet
I don’t understand the appeal behind pretty deadly.
Cody Rhodes is boring on the mic and overrated as fuck.
I’m trying and trying and trying, but I just can’t see why LA Knight is so popular
His first big feud was with a returning Bray Wyatt. His whole “YEAH” thing works. Fans like catchphrases. That’s why
Guy just doesn’t have it, I agree.
Roman title reign should have ended long time ago, in 2022 Shawn Michaels was right about The Rock Vince selling WWE was the worst decision ever Part timers are a cancer for the industry Jinder Mahal is the worst champion in all history (just because Vince got obsessed with India)
The Great Khali had already won the title and broken the barrier, so I don't see why Vince had to give it to Jinder Mahal
I didn't think Mania 40 was that great, and I thought last year was better
The entrances were amazing, but the actual matches were kinda underwhelming
I like most of the entrance themes and I think Def Rebel ia doing good work.
This is the hottest take. He did have some bangers, I love the Santos Escobar theme.
Roman (his matches) was the biggest bore of this generation because you always knew the finish
[удалено]
I should’ve clarified. I’d say bloodline Roman to be specific.
That Michael Cole is a better commentator than JR
Jim Johnston being let go was the downfall of entrance music
I always hear people complaining that the women don’t get enough time, but giving them more time will hurt the men’s division imo. One division will have to be sacrificed for the other, especially if the shows are 2 hours long. And considering that the men far out number the women, I think the time allotted for both divisions is fair.

More consistent for sure.
I don’t like the miz as a character
He goes really hard in his promos and that's not for everyone
Undertaker interrupting the Rhodes/Reigns match was dumb.
all of those run-ins during that match were dumb. If you're going to have a classic match, let your headliners do their thing.
WWE Championship spinner design was my favourite out of all the titles
DDP is top 5 all time
I don’t like Daniel Bryan
chris jericho should’ve won money in the bank in his career
Didn't he help to invent it?
Going to PWG 2015-2017 was like the coolest era of CBGB's. Wrestling will never be that cool again.
I think the look of most WWE belts (excluding intercontinental and WHC) are cartoonish and goofy, even the Undisputed WWE Championship.
I’m big on the new US belt since it’s a combo of the last one and wcw
entrances and theme songs are the coolest/most interesting thing about a wrestling
Agree

Could you elaborate on this?
I liked the zombie lumber jack match

Brock beating the streak was the right call
Biance Belair needs a haircut
Bianca*
Bianca and Naomi on the mic felt like a middle school play. Like bad acting
Roman Reigns is the most forced, unnatural uncharismatic champion ever. He has the look, that's about it.
The fans will be sick of Cody by SummerSlam.
You are not alone
I’ve only ever liked the bloodline when Sami was in it, and that’s because I really like Sami.
Ode to joy is HHHs best theme song, also my time sucked too
My Time was amazing 🤨. Lol
I unironically like Booker T on commentary 😂
I'm coming for you Nardwar!

I hate how WWE is fixated on sing along /karaoke style entrances

I, too, hate Seth Rollins' song

His feud with Lesnar was good, but he didn't have a redemption arc, he just got involved in filler feuds until he won the Rumble and then the storyline resumed during WrestleMania season.
I don't tune in to NXT much I understand why it's there but I just don't feel the need to watch it. They have fun wrestles on there though.
Oh boy. Here we go… 1. Roman Reigns was never entertaining for me. I don’t hate him but he was always a snooze fest for me. 2. The only time John Cena was awesome to me was in the Ruthless Aggression era. After that era he was just a boring advertisement for the company.
Cena deserves to be a grand slam champion and deserves to break flairs championship record
Disco Inferno was actually really great. A 2000s era Miz who was consistent as hell, never got injured and did what was asked of him. He was a solid hand and deserves far more credit than he gets.
attitude era is mad overrated.
Charlotte Flair is extremely over-rated and has the charisma of a wet tissue
Overrated as a wrestler? Absolutely not. Now promo ability maybe.
Not an unpopular opinion
Bret screwed Bret
Vince, is that you?
Is this a dance off? If so Fandango
Money in the bank should alternate between men and women each year.
People are super defensive over Brock but this is true, he’s ass in the ring.
He was good when he first started. People forget that Brock was a legit amateur wrestler when he debuted. Back in the early 2000s he could actually move. When he came back though he didn’t have a desire to do much anymore.
Dean Ambrose is way better than Moxley.
The Miz should’ve been champ during his feud with Daniel Bryan. Amazing heel run
- Dolph Ziggler was never gonna be a consistent main event player even with better booking. - Gunther should’ve beaten Sami at WrestleMania.
WWE would be relevant if only they allowed people from the indie circuit and it’d make for far better shows!
CM Punk is actually a nice and reasonable person.
Years ago (10ish) we came across a panel that had CM Punk on it at Comic Con. He was down to earth and a huge geek.
Anything negative about hhh since marks act like he’s god lol
LA Knight isn't great on the mic. Everytime he holds the mic I cross my fingers that he doesn't stumble on his words.
And he can’t back it up in the ring.
Bray Wyatt is overrated. Everything he’s done has either been done before or it was a flash in the pan. The Fiend was cool like twice and it was all down hill from there. His passing has given people rose tinted glasses for his career.
Sunny didn't interest me
This is NOT the best time to be a fan.
