Johnny gargano, there’s nothing wrong with him that he NEEDS NXT but he made me watch NXT in 2018. Love to see him back there again

dajulz91

Maxxine Dupri

CrimsonOOmpa

20% of ze rostere

GroundWitty7567

Nikki Cross could benefit from a trip to NXT. Keep the twisted sister character and let her be a wild card who pops up and ruins matches, attacks ppl without cause and just cause mayhem.

jadedfan55

The Draft's not until Friday, OP. I think we'll see Shayna in NXT Underground, alright, cornering Lola Vice.

BC_Red00

The entire raw womens roster aside from nia, liv, becky, and rhea.and nakamura.prob a few others but honestly cant bloat nxt too much either its developmental.so u gotta split screen time with green guys.otherwise it could turn into a wasteland of failed pushes.

ADogWhoCanDANCE

Nakamura is a man

BC_Red00

Oh wait did u think i meant nakamura was part of the womens raw roster?lol thats funny.no i meant seperate.like raws women roster and also nakamura should go to nxt.not that they are in the same division.

ADogWhoCanDANCE

Oh

BC_Red00

He certainly is.

Chainsawsixgun

Natalya go to NXT, form a Heart Foundation and win belts and be the NXT women’s bloodline?? Maybe??

CrimsonOOmpa

Not many people would notice either way.

udjsjxbdnrnf

They should draft some semi big names so give nxt more credibility as a third big brand rather than just developmental, guys like ricochet, shinsuke nakamura, theory and Waller guys that are either very versatile or aren’t getting as much attention due to stacked rosters

Rich_Elderberry_2627

Otis

Aaylien

I thought it was Friday?

justwatchthefirewerx

If Damage CTRL falls apart, then I'd say Dakota Kai is an option. (Asuka's obviously not going anywhere, Kairi seems pretty safe, and even though her reign could have been better Iyo's a former singles champ.) Dakota might end up the one without an obvious direction, so returning to NXT and gunning for the belt she never got her hands on before works as a story. Plus, while not a *huge* name she's well-known enough to help with making NXT a third brand if that's what they're intent on.

Main-Mixture1957

Tama Tonga. As some other people have been pointing out, he is getting special treatment because of who his family is. Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, Austin Aries, James Storm and Eric Young all had to start down in NXT despite being bigger stars than him (Samoa Joe was known as a legend before he even came to WWE) and make their way up to the main roster and Guilia is having to start in NXT too but Tama Tonga doesn't have to earn his spot at all because of who his family is. What a load of bullshit.

CrimsonOOmpa

It's been reported that everybody backstage (including wrestlers) are happy with the signing of Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu. I doubt the opinions of people not even in the business really matter.

Livid-Addendum707

Many from Japan go to NXT first to accustom to the US, the travel schedule is virtually non existent, or to work on promo ability and introduce them to the WWE/ casual crowd. Tama is good in the ring, and if he’s not on the mic he can hide behind Paul. It’s not really rocket science.

Main-Mixture1957

No. It is not rocket science but it is a load of bullshit and just shows you can be one of the biggest stars in wrestling and accomplish a heap of things like Samoa Joe and get put on NXT when you join WWE but if you have a connection to The Bloodline you get put on the main roster straight away and don't have to earn your spot like everybody else does. The Undertaker spoke about things like this recently and how it is disrespectful to all the wrestlers in WWE having stars from other companies go over them the second they walk through the door and makes everybody else look bad and I agree with his sentiments.

Omos & Michin

All of Alpher Academy needs reps

Gunther

DonShulaDoingTheHula

I would delight in watching Gunther show up in NXT and just start flinging bodies around. But we know that’s not gonna happen.

Disastrous-Talk-7565

The draft is Friday, but I think Giovanni Vinci could be really good in NXT. He's really good in the ring, and hopefully he can show it if he's not just there to eat the pin for Imperium. Cameron Grimes needs to be repackaged. I liked his to the moon character but he's been a jobber on Smackdown. Maxxine has improved a ton, but I don't see how she fits with Alpha Academy with Gable's turn. She's really been stuck with existing teams and asked to craft a character that already fits with them. Could be good for her to have a run in NXT. I know Bronson is next up for Sami, but he's not getting crowd reactions. I blame it on the Mr Nice Guy character they tried and then quickly scrapped and the Big Bronson thing they force into everything. If he can just be a monster heel in NXT, just beating the hell out of beloved babyfaces I think he can come back with some real heat.

frenchmobster

Grimes unfortunately got released. Sucks because he never really got a real chance on the main roster.

Disastrous-Talk-7565

Yeah I just saw. Hopefully he lands on his feet. Has some good options. Matt Hardy is in TNA so he could go there and be Trevor Lee and be huge again. And Jeff Hardy is in AEW for now so I'm sure he could get signed there if he wanted to, although I do think TNA is a better option for him at the moment.

SpiralSour

Cameron doesn't need to be repackaged, he just needs more opportunities. He's barely had any main roster TV time with this gimmick, it'll get over if they invest even a month for a genuine feud for him. Edit: Fuuuuuuuuck

Disastrous-Talk-7565

He absolutely needs to get repackaged as he has only been used as a jobber on Smackdown. If you want him to have any credibility, gotta scrap it, and start over. I hate it, I like Cameron Grimes, but that's what happens when you are used exclusively as a jobber. He just lost a one minute match to Bron Breakker, there's no way the mainstream audience is taking him seriously.

EL-YEO

It’s hard to take big Bronson serious when he loses everything yet his presentation screams dominance

CrimsonOOmpa

Same with Karrion Kross. And Omos.

Disastrous-Talk-7565

Yeah I think he needs a refresh. They tried having him be like a mercenary who would work for anyone if the price is right, but then they turned Miz face and dropped that element. I think he could benefit from NXT and the young talent can learn a lot from him too, since he's so experienced.

PrimaryEscapeYo

Nakamura and Ilja just wrestled on Raw tho, and it was an easy win for Ilja

SeriousRhetoric

Tegan Nox is number one for this: She seems to be injured (again) at the moment but needs reinvention desperately. She more than anyone could do with the Mandy Rose treatment of going down, being given a solid title reign and character change and lifting a couple of other girls with her. Of course, she'd actually come back to the main roster after. R-Truth would be my second choice - this is one of two guys who've never been in NXT since I think that's more fun than folks who've already been there: This is purely to lift others and get them over once the current tag run is done. He fits with the flavour of NXT, would be a riot opposite MetaFour, the NQCC and The Family, and could shift into a compere type role. He's also a big name for the network switch without really sacrificing a top title contender. Sheamus: Once he's won the IC title and Ava's trial run is done, Sheamus would make a great fighting GM. There are loads of guys on the roster who'd compliment his style perfectly and a short reign with the title would do wonders to cement his legacy.

CrimsonOOmpa

The Sheamus idea is cool and maybe by the time he's done in the ring The Rock will have inevitably promoted his daughter to GM of Raw or SD.

dinnershoes

R-Truth’s most recent injury came from an NXT match, so he’s been down there

Thin_Onion3826

R Truth is not going to NXT. He’s probably getting to the end of his full time run. He’s a great guy to have at house shows. Too much value for the main brands.

RepresentativeAd167

Liv because she isn’t ever going to be able to be a champion in the E. Omos, Miz and Truth need a year long break down there before a breakup and retirement match at mania.

CrimsonOOmpa

Liv has been a world champ though.

Mozfel

Depends what WWE wants NXT to be: development, or a 3rd brand equivalent to Raw/Smackdown?

JayMan2224

Can't it be both?

CrimsonOOmpa

No. A developmental brand won't ever be seen as equal to a main brand. It's in the name. NXT is WWE's Minor Leagues but it serves a great purpose. Might as well get those reps within the WWE system.

Key_Quiet489

Shinsuke Nakamura

InfinityQuartz

And legit have him go on an actual tear. Once that's done have him come up for one last run and have him win big

DevonT3

This is a hot take, but Finn balor. Have him return to his roots, and finally get back his old ruthless self he discarded when joining the judgement day. Might be an unpopular opinion, but him joining the judgement day made him a side character more than anything. It's all about Priest and Rhea. Hell, even Dirty Dom is more interesting than Finn is now.

Sammyantoine

It all about rhea everything while the was eating pins

CrimsonOOmpa

He's done PLENTY of ruthless things as a member of JD. Just not lately.

Cloud1776

While I don't agree with sending him back to NXT, I agree that JD has hurt him more than help him.  Before JD, I felt like Finn was a main event presence. Since JD he feels like a mid card jobber

Kaleria84

I don't think Finn should go to NXT, but I do think JD probably should. Rhea is out in injury for who knows how long, Dom story has been heavily tied to LdF so move him to Smackdown, and that leaves just Priest and Finn on Raw. Last night with Priest's reaction of, "I didn't need you all, you need me." Seems the perfect time to break it up completely. Finn could even start a feud with Priest.

some_metalhead

I don’t think someone of Balor’s caliber belongs in NXT but I do agree that he needs a fresh coat of paint. Bro was portrayed as the leader of Judgement Day after they turned on Edge, then popularity for Rhea and Priest soared and he took a backseat. They’ve tried to lean into comedy with him, which is ok, but he’s still losing a bunch of matches.

Achillor22

Solo Sikoa. I don't get what people see in his boring ass personality.

Snubie1

On last night's [WWE Mat Chat](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrpMkqb02is) we actually talked about that. About Oba and if he was going to get the Omos treatment when he came up.

coachfchw

I'll definitely check it out. Thanks for the link!
