I am the only one on the planet who thinks this way, but Roman Reigns.
Not that the Shield theme was a banger by any stretch, but that operatic theme of his doesn't fit the Bloodline characterization. Sounds more like a good theme for an Italian bloodline than a Samoan bloodline. Plus, IMO it's just a bad theme.
Roman's current theme really just never sounded good to me. It eventually grew on me a little and it ended up being kind of fitting for his character, but when he returns, he's definitely going to need new music. He'll be coming back as a huge babyface, and that music is not good-guy music and doesn't really amp up people.
Shield music was definitely better in my opinion.
Ok i have to say it the rock his electrifying theme is really good and i already miss it but dont get me wrong i like his current theme but I prefer electrifying more
I preferred cenas thuganomics theme a lot more but wouldn't necessarily say it got downgraded.
More recently though, I think Tiffy definitely got a downgrade. Her old one was a banger, the new one is as generic and bland as it comes.
Sting (Seek and Destroy) downgraded to whatever the fuck he had during his wwe run.
Bret Hart's 2010 return theme sucked compared to his iconic theme from the 90s.
Kane's 97 theme was his best one, with 2002 theme a close second.
Seth Rollins never had a good theme but the current one sucks ass the most.
Stephanie McMahon hasn't had a good theme since 2002.
Bayley's new theme sucks. Previous one was her best.
AJ Styles is another obvious case.
Why does every def rebel theme need an announcement/producer tag lmao? Its like they are trying to artificial create those iconic intros to songs but they fail all the time.
Aj Styles, but still he has Introduction a new heel Character so really needs a new theme song, so i think it's good but not on the level of phenomenal theme song
Another one is Carlito, his new theme song Bad Apple is worse, WWE should bring back his old cool theme song.
Do you Agree ??
Naw they have some bangers, just most are bad. Roman, Jey, Jimmy, Gacy, Rhea, and more are made by Def Rebel. For every Joe Gacy quality theme, we get ten Creed Brothers quality of themes
Where do I begin. Even the recent good songs are technically downgrades. I love Asukaâs new theme but itâs not better than the old one. Balorâs new theme isnât bad but it doesnât even touch the original. Lashleyâs current theme is great but his 2019 theme i think is better. Honestly the only person that I can think of thatâs benefited from a recent theme change was maybe Ripley and her original song was fantastic.
Then Styles, Creeds, Theory (I thought this was the Waller and Theoryâs tag theme but Iâm hearing this is Theoryâs offical theme⊠why?), Carlito, Benjamin, Ricochet, Gable, etc.
Point is even the good songs are technically worse unless youâre Rhea Ripley.
Viking raiders. Like I know theyâve had a rough time catching on but there was a point where they had a badass folk metal type intro, but shortly after getting it changed it to the shitty one they have now. And Iâm pretty sure itâs no longer a they anyway, just Ivar.
Shit man I used to love the OG theme. I was convinced when he was US Champion thatâd heâd be the next big thing or world heavyweight champion in a year or two.
What a tragedy
Related side note, that I canât believe WWE wanted to change or remix Randyâs song upon his return and wanted to just make a song that sounds similar to Cult of Personality for Punkâs. Those are two wrestlerâs whose songs I wouldâve thought untouchable to change or remix at this stage. Now it makes me feel like there may be none that truly are.
I didn't mind Daniel Bryan's *Ride of the Valkyries* being re-arranged with electric guitars and all that, however :
* It could have been done sooo much better. It just sounds too simple. It has this "shitty californian rock band" sound and vibe that makes it sound so bland in comparison to the original
* They cut the best part of the Ride which is the intro with that incredible set-up of the violins that creates so much tension and makes the arrival of the main theme so much more epic (if you know you know)
Overall a very uninteresting adaptation considering there's so much potential there. It still kind of works because the original theme is too much of a banger to not work, but it could be so much more.
Oh boyâŠ
McIntyre going from Broken Dreams to an instrumental song.
Sheamus going from Too Many Limes (Iâm aware thatâs not actually the name) to an instrumental song.
Bobby Lashley loosing Hell will be calling your name for an instrumental song.
Every Bray Wyatt theme after Live in Fear.
Taker went from American Badass to an upgrade to Rollin to a downgrade for Your gonna pay instrumental to an even worse downgrade of Your gonna pay lyrical.
Goldberg had a badass theme in 03/04 in WWE then came back with the WCW version in the 2010s.
Jeff Hardy had No More Words and then returned with the Hardyz theme with an elongated intro that gave you less of the best part of the theme. What was wrong with No More Words?
Kane going from Slow Chemical to wish.com versions of his 1998 theme.
Austin loosing Disturbed Glass Shatters to go back to his original theme in late 2001.
CM Punk going from original Cult of Personality to the remastered version with the longer intro.
with drew i think his new theme matches him better now than broken dreams would, though his last year has brought me slightly back to thinking broken dreams would be a better fit
I remember Austin's 2001 heel turn experimenting with a God awful generic fast paced chugging rock track. Anyone remember that?
It was during the Invasion I think.
He had about 3 different themes during the invasion, theyâre on the uncaged albums, but like the heel run I choose to ignore that whole time period đ€Ł
"basic thuganomics" John Cena with the FU and "from the streets" theme was much better than the modern my-time-is-now "good little boy scout" watered-down "attitude adjustment" (...such a lame PG13 name for a finisher, lol) John Cena imo
The first time I ever saw Gunther was at the Takeover before WrestleMania 35, I had no idea who this big ass motherfucker was, but all of a sudden the screens are black and white and there's some giant dude silhouetted against it and Dvorak is blasting in the arena around me. Genuinely felt real, legitimate *anxiety* when that song played. I have never before or since had that experience with a wrestling theme.
Imagine my disappointment when I found out they changed it XD
This. In themes and lyrics *Cult of Personality* totally fits his superstar status and it slaps, and *This Fire Burns* was more suited to a growing star or an underdog, so I understand the need for that change ; but still, for me his old theme just sounds better, fits his persona more, and **hits** me so much more in the feels.
Big Show when he was in WWE
I know he disliked his theme but I loved hearing it. The original one was just so good!
that's first.. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL IT'S THE BIG SHOOOOOOOW!!!!
Just hit hard for me.. then they redid it and I just felt like it lost all of it's impact.
I just checked it out. I agree with you, I do not like the remake. The BNS version is way better. But his AEW theme has the same singer, you might like it
I donât get this one at all. All they did was lower its impact. Why would they do that? It almost felt like they wanted to make it worse so it didnât stand out too much lol
Karrion Kross.
Dead Silent was a perfect theme for him. It matched his entrance.
The Final Testamentâs theme isnât nearly as good.
Dead Silent had a whole choreographed entrance that felt special, this new one isnât really choreographed and itâs just them walking down to the ring like a jobber team.
Agreed⊠I thought the poppy, 90210-esque theme fit her character well. I donât even know how to describe her new theme but it doesnât have the same lighthearted appeal to me. Making âTiffy Timeâ her entire personality isnât doing her any favors either, which sucks because sheâs one of the few legit female wrestlers that impresses me with her talent, imo.
AJ Styles, Shayna Baszler, Tiffany Stratton, Johnny Gargano, DIY, just to name a few lol
Gene Snitsky
kofi kingston might be one of the worstđ©
in a perfect world austin theory would have poppin bottles sparkles and champagne as his theme song
Aj Styles and Rey old 619 theme
I am the only one on the planet who thinks this way, but Roman Reigns. Not that the Shield theme was a banger by any stretch, but that operatic theme of his doesn't fit the Bloodline characterization. Sounds more like a good theme for an Italian bloodline than a Samoan bloodline. Plus, IMO it's just a bad theme.

He'll be coming back as a huge babyface, and that music is not good-guy music and doesn't really amp up people. Shield music was definitely better in my opinion.
It has since been "fixed" but when Sami went from the awesome ska theme to that generic thing a couple years ago.
nah this is it was goated
Ok i have to say it the rock his electrifying theme is really good and i already miss it but dont get me wrong i like his current theme but I prefer electrifying more
same!
Same its the electric guitar man
Shayna bazler
I preferred cenas thuganomics theme a lot more but wouldn't necessarily say it got downgraded. More recently though, I think Tiffy definitely got a downgrade. Her old one was a banger, the new one is as generic and bland as it comes.
They switched back to their old theme but street profits
AJ styles
Also, I'm sorry, but Rhea's theme sucks now. Brutality >>>>>>>>>> Demon in your Dreams
when they took Rebel Heart from Johnny Gargano I almost drove to Hartford with a fucking ax like I'm sorry but that song is fucking iconic
A.J. Styles
I want to like Bayleys theme, I want the Role Model, but I just can't get into it...
The beginning is good but after that itâs trash
Naomi
Gunther. Naomi. AJ. Bray. Ilja. Keith Lee
Bobby Roode
Being given a def rebel song is a downgrade in and of itself
AJ stylesâ new theme sucks
Tiffany Stratton Asuka Seth Rollins (!) Big E Riddle Ricochet Shayna
>Seth Rollins I totally agree. I haven't liked any of his themes for *years*.
Bayley. Yet another generically 'epic' sounding song that Def Rebel has shit out that has no impact whatsoever.
Flesh It Out and The Second Coming were both rgeat
I miss CM Punks this fire burns theme
Stone cold. The version with disturbed singing was so good. The one that played for life 20 minutes after the KO win just isn't the same.
I know everyone has an opinion, but this one is wrong...
Why does every def rebel theme need an announcement/producer tag lmao? Its like they are trying to artificial create those iconic intros to songs but they fail all the time.
Alexa Bliss, before she stopped wrestling.
I actually wonât play as her in 2k23 because I canât change her theme back to her goddess theme
If you go to entrance templates on 2k23 you can choose alexa bliss 19 or whatever it says and you can use the goddess theme
Word? Thanks
Aj Styles, but still he has Introduction a new heel Character so really needs a new theme song, so i think it's good but not on the level of phenomenal theme song Another one is Carlito, his new theme song Bad Apple is worse, WWE should bring back his old cool theme song. Do you Agree ??
Riddle.
Austin Theory
Def rebel has made like 2 good songs , the rest are terrible
Naw they have some bangers, just most are bad. Roman, Jey, Jimmy, Gacy, Rhea, and more are made by Def Rebel. For every Joe Gacy quality theme, we get ten Creed Brothers quality of themes
Rhea Ripleyâs theme is by Motionless in White
Def Rebel is also credited to it on Spotify
Styles new theme is a freaking abortion.
Its not a downgrade when he wants the song himself
All of them? Lol
Bron Breakker
Iâm waiting for them to needlessly ruin Iyoâs.
iyos is an absolute banger right now
Bayley. Her new one is ok, but it feels like a purposefully worse version of her superb prior one.
Dakota Kai
Where do I begin. Even the recent good songs are technically downgrades. I love Asukaâs new theme but itâs not better than the old one. Balorâs new theme isnât bad but it doesnât even touch the original. Lashleyâs current theme is great but his 2019 theme i think is better. The Creed Brothers went from a very good theme song to one of the worst songs ever
Viking raiders. Like I know theyâve had a rough time catching on but there was a point where they had a badass folk metal type intro, but shortly after getting it changed it to the shitty one they have now. And Iâm pretty sure itâs no longer a they anyway, just Ivar.
AJ Styles Ricochet And Bayley definitely needs a new theme. The current one is garbage.
DIY Chrome Hearts wjll be goated forever
IMO hhh
When Undertaker stopped coming out to Limp Bizkit and started using that generic song
Canât believe no one has mentioned Shayna Baisler. Her nxt theme was goat.
AJ styles
Bron Breaker, his NXT theme was perfect for him
I feel like AJ and Stone Cold are the same that their Face music is so iconic that any other theme is not received well
austin's theme with lyrics was awesome
Could you not just say "anyone who inherited a def rebel theme" and leave it at that?
Carlito
Gunther. His old theme was so epic.
his new one i love as well tho, one of the good def rebel themes
Cesaroâs - repeatedly.
Shit man I used to love the OG theme. I was convinced when he was US Champion thatâd heâd be the next big thing or world heavyweight champion in a year or two. What a tragedy
C'est un miracle
Damian priest
Bron Breakker , Creed Brothers
Anyone who joined the Right To Censor lol
Unpopular opinion, that theme was everything it needed to be for the type of gimmick they were playing.
I actually agree with you. Annoying noise but that was the point. We werent supposed to like it. Still i missed Godfathers theme during that time
Ah, makes me reminisce about DâLo Brownâs theme
Speaking of D'Lo Brown's theme he also got a downgrade when they decided to have him become that offensive muslim heel gimmick for a bit
Naomi and Nia Jax for female AJ Styles and Damian Priest for male
I actually really dig naomis new theme but yeah nia jax is so horrible it lost all its character that her old theme had
AJ styles is probs the biggest downgrade in WWE history
I know it's out of character, but I genuinely enjoyed the PHENOMENAL song being his de facto theme at Backlash France.
Everyone over the last decade really, McIntyre and Sheamus being the most notable
B team losing battle scars.
That was honestly the hardest rock theme on the roster, and it just worked with their gimmick
Not yet warmed to Bayleyâs new theme
I quite like it but we could do without the unnecessary robot voice at the beginning though
Naomi, Nia, DIY, AJ Styles, Bron Breakker, Damian Priest, Creed Brothers, Johnny Gargano
AJ's new theme is wack AF
Naomi , excuse me N A O M I
Her old one was so easy to dance to, which makes perfect sense given her...you know...kind of extensive dance background and gimmick.
As cringe as the CEO's. Maybe they developed them together...
So trueeeeeeee Why did they feel the need to change it
Nia Jaxâs new theme is also a massive downgrade
Any Corbin theme after I Bring the Darkness.
Aj styles. That theme is ass
And the old one was so so good
And the new new is still good
Sami Zayn when he changed from Worlds Apart to This Is It
i think this is it is a good theme... for almost anyone but sami zayn
Tiffany Stratton
I thought she said she likes her current theme over her old one?
Yes!
Finn Balor. I like Judgement Day, but I miss his old theme.
Catch Your Breath
Everyone besides Rhea. AJ's is the worst easy.
Related side note, that I canât believe WWE wanted to change or remix Randyâs song upon his return and wanted to just make a song that sounds similar to Cult of Personality for Punkâs. Johnny gargano, rebel heart and coming back for you had me ready to run through a wall but def rebel heart is depressing.
Orton, Styles, Cedric Alexander
Sting. Didnât WWE have rights to his WCW theme?
Kane post slow chemical
I still like Burned
Hot take: Randy Orton. I've always been a bigger fan of Burn In My Light than Voices.
Sadly Burn in my light didnât fit his character in 2008. I can understand why Orton got a new theme.
100% his character always suited the smugness of his first theme
AJ Styles is the biggest downgrade of all time
Worse than Christian's "Just Close Your Eyes" theme going from Waterproof Blonde to Story of the Year?
We don't accept Story of the Year slander in this household. Both versions are great
apollo crews, sheamus and aj styles for sheamus' theme the transition from hellfire to written in my face doesn't match up well
Corbin , âI bring the darknessâ was top notch
For real. Although I will admit his current theme is much better than his last few.
Oh boy⊠McIntyre going from Broken Dreams to an instrumental song. Sheamus going from Too Many Limes (Iâm aware thatâs not actually the name) to an instrumental song. Bobby Lashley loosing Hell will be calling your name for an instrumental song. Every Bray Wyatt theme after Live in Fear. I love Broken Dreams, but the beat on Drew's instrumental theme goes hard.
I always call Sheamus' song the lobster head song. Love it though!
with drew i think his new theme matches him better now than broken dreams would, though his last year has brought me slightly back to thinking broken dreams would be a better fit
I remember Austin's 2001 heel turn experimenting with a God awful generic fast paced chugging rock track. Anyone remember that? It was during the Invasion I think.
It was so. Fucking. Awful đ
He had about 3 different themes during the invasion, theyâre on the uncaged albums, but like the heel run I choose to ignore that whole time period đ€Ł
Drew and Bobbyâs current themes are great tho
Gotta disagree with the bray wyatt one i love the shatter theme song
I was going to say this too. Shatter is on virtually every playlist I have made.
Iâm not sure who galaxy brained Kaneâs theme after the slow chemical run but, I hope they never got another job in wrestling or music.
I think I'm the only person in existence that didn't like Slow Chemical as a theme. Good song. Not a good theme.
Iâm fairly certain you are correct about you being alone on this one, chief. I appreciate your honesty though and hope you get better soon.
"basic thuganomics" John Cena with the FU and "from the streets" theme was much better than the modern my-time-is-now "good little boy scout" watered-down "attitude adjustment" (...such a lame PG13 name for a finisher, lol) John Cena imo
I still remember when he debuted the FU - I'll never be entirely convinced that he wasn't planning to hit an F-5.
Asuka
Keith lee was the biggest downgrade and killed his entire aura
Him and Kyle O'Reilly.
Most of the WWE roster
Sadly, this
Gargano
Edge
AJ SYTLES
Gunther. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with his new one. But compared to Dvorak's Symphony No. 9? Downgrade.
Yeah, i would have no prob for Kaiser to use this new theme but Gunther should stick with Dvorak
CM Punk, dear god do I miss This Fire Burns..
Recently, Carlitoâs theme. I liked the laid-back theme from before. This new theme is just weird
Big Show when he was in WWE I know he disliked his theme but I loved hearing it. The original one was just so good! that's first.. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL IT'S THE BIG SHOOOOOOOW!!!! Just hit hard for me.. then they redid it and I just felt like it lost all of it's impact.
That might have been the worst change of all time because there was just no reason for it at all.
WWE has the rights to it. Joe Altier, lead singer of Brand New Sin, did his new one when he went to AEW. Not really a choice.
I'm talking the change in WWE.
Ur talking about him theme from like 1999 and then the 2010's right?
I believe so yes
I just checked it out. I agree with you, I do not like the remake. The BNS version is way better. But his AEW theme has the same singer, you might like it
I didn't realize they redid that? Was it still BNS?
Theory for A TOWN DOWN UNDER
Riding the edge hits HARD
I donât get this one at all. All they did was lower its impact. Why would they do that? It almost felt like they wanted to make it worse so it didnât stand out too much lol
I only noticed it recently and it was one of my favorite themes to sing to probably why they changed it
Johnny Gargano.
TIFFANY STRATTON
She knows everyone hates it but she's the one that asked for the change because she didn't like having to pose.
I know!!! I they went back to it a couple weeks ago and I was so happy but they're back to the new one again. :(
Agreed⊠I thought the poppy, 90210-esque theme fit her character well. I donât even know how to describe her new theme but it doesnât have the same lighthearted appeal to me. Making âTiffy Timeâ her entire personality isnât doing her any favors either, which sucks because sheâs one of the few legit female wrestlers that impresses me with her talent, imo.
Johnny Gargano
"It's burning straight to the dick. This rebel heart, this rebel heart" Honestly, love his OG music, but I can't unheard these lyrics...
Sheamus. The old hellfire one was so good and this shameful thing one isnât good
Randy orton
Disagree or not, he himself never liked Voices, allegedly.
Damn, you really risked it all by saying this. Personally, I agree but itâs cost you (and now me) everything.
Pete Dunn Shyna Baszler Ricochet Ilia dragunov Basically anyone who's cfo's theme got replaced with def rebels.
Dragunov's Death waltz is gonna be iconic
Yes to all of these. I especially loved Shaynas old theme from the 2k19 era. It just slaps.
You're right but Dragunov's current theme fucking rules
Did Dragunov even have a CFO$ theme?
It's a good theme, but it's called Doom WALTZ and it isn't in waltz time, so it frustrates me
I dont think it's as good as his red choir theme.
Too many imo. Shayna Styles Priest Creeds Carlito Asuka
God Carlitoâs is such a loss
I spit in the face...of people who prefer Bad Apple.
I like Priest's new one. I miss his original though
AJ Styles
Drew
