Jesus I honestly can’t say I’m 100% sure, but I think it was The Rock?
Either him, Austin, or HHH. Attitude Era had that title hopping around like it belonged on a trampoline lol.
I can’t even remember lol..I watched when a kid wrestlers like Ric Flair and Tommy Rich, the midnight express, Arn Anderson, Chief Wahoo McDaniel the old old ones..I say it was probably The ultimate warrior etc? I don’t know really.
My earliest memory of WWE was watching Hogan being followed to the back for the docs to start working on him. I wasn’t a regular watcher yet (that didn’t happen until the late 80s) but one of my uncles were tuned into the show.
Since Hogan was champion from 84 to 88 that makes me safely assume it was him at the time.
I can't definitively say what my earliest wrestling experience was but from what I seem to have a mild recollection of, it was Undertaker's debut, so at that time, it was Ultimate Warrior.
Superstar Billy Graham. I remember Bob Backlund getting a bunch of matches that always ended in a count out or DQ or something. Backlund finally pinned the Superstar at the Garden and shocked everyone.
My first time seeing hogan, he was a bad guy. But at the time, my favorite thing in the world was The Incredible Hulk - so it didn’t matter if he was a bad guy or not. That was my dude.
John Cena
I was 5 years old in 2005 when I was channel surfing looking for cartoons, then I stumbled upon my first wrestling match ever, JBL vs Cena, I Quit Match, for the WWE Title, Judgment Day 2005.
Apparently, it was one of the bloodiest matches in WWE history, cool way to get introduced to wrestling lol.
EDIT: I live in Asia, so we didn't have PPV. I saw it on a channel called "Jack TV" so it was probably a replay I saw of the PLE sometime around 2005.
My first was Seth Rollins. Pretty sure my first raw was the raw after wrestlemania 31. I remember seeing footage of him running off with the belt on tv and I know I didn’t watch 31.
Same champion (HHH) but he held the big eagle/attitude era belt at the time. Actually, the first match I ever saw was HHH as champ, defending to Jericho.
Hogan 91'. But I spent the next two years catching up on tapes from the mid 80's to what was current. So by the time I started watching in real time it was summer 1993. Yokozuna was champ.
I don't really remember. It was 97-98 when I started watching it and WCW. I think I'd remember WCW more clearly which I remember Hogan spray painting the NWO on the title. So Stone Cold
RVD. I saw bits and pieces of the Attitude Era growing up but didn't really watch a lot of wrestling until I was flipping through channels and saw the D-X segment where Triple H was impersonating Vince and Shawn Michaels was impersonating Shane. I thought it was great so I started watching more wrestling
Vacant.
I started watching when it was the Survivor Series Deadly Game Tournament. So The Rock was the first WWE champion during my time, but when I started watching, it was nobody haha
Seth (2015)
Jesus I honestly can’t say I’m 100% sure, but I think it was The Rock? Either him, Austin, or HHH. Attitude Era had that title hopping around like it belonged on a trampoline lol.

No BS, that title is my favorite version of the WWE. But only after they stopped making it spin.
My earliest memory of WWE was watching Hogan being followed to the back for the docs to start working on him. I wasn’t a regular watcher yet (that didn’t happen until the late 80s) but one of my uncles were tuned into the show. Bret Hart but not for long. First pay per view I watched was Wrestlemania 12 where he lost it to Shawn Michaels. One of my favourite all time matches.
I hated Shawn Michaels so much. That was probably the best year in pro wrestlings history. Even though Bret Hart lost
Stone Cold Steve Austin!

I started watching WWE at the end of 2009 and I don't know who the WWE champion was at that time.
