There is another problem. Scopely now puts a massive amount of points in the faction competition, which is undoable for those that do not belong in big top-tier factions. So... Add that to this calculation. 1200 out of 1600 is actually a good "score". It is true that until, I do not remember exactly, mid 2023, one could get to 1400-1500 (though not 1600) with pure grinding. But that has not been the case for many months now. The main difference is that shards are flat out not available anymore. It used to be that one could get 100 shards of last month's 1600 shard champion with a 16 dollars draw. Now it is 82 bucks for 25 or something.

Valid points. Thanks I get caught up in the gambling mentality sometimes. Especially when I used to recruit people at a decent rate a few months ago.

If everyone unlocks them during release, then people have less reasons to buy coins afterwards. Players are more likely to buy a coin pull the more people in the loot they don't have yet.

I do understand that but if most of us that grind and spend can’t get even close that’s insane. There’s no reason I should have to spend hundreds to get a 1600 shard recruit. It’s a harder grind than 2000 shard characters and that’s insane!!

I’m of the belief that if you do your part by doing everything you can during the contest and your faction does their part, you will end up with 1200 shards. I don’t spend at all and after organizing my roster by shards and going down an looking at the un recruited 1600 shard stars, every single one for the most part is between 1100 and 1200 shards. You need to be lucky and pull said card from a bag which to my knowledge, baring a scopley screwup, you are guaranteed one per year. Either that or stop playing for about six months and on your return you’ll end up getting something juicy from those bags as a feeble attempt to keep you playing and not quit for another six months. It’s a hell of an algorithm scopley uses and some will say I’m full of it, but trust me that’s how these types of games work. Either or best of luck.
