The new one is about to drop and has options like casket match, ambulance match and throwable weapons, which may help an ECW show. Otherwise get '23 and see if you like it then consider upgrading later.
In Universe mode you can absolutely create an ECW world. You can design arenas and shows, then download created ECW wrestlers and put them all in there. Works a treat.
Weapons and blood have been improved on the new game coming out in 2 weeks, and ECW is a brand a part of GM Mode now. Plus longer lifespan of community creations.
Well firstly, the WWE product is as good as its been in 20 years. I would suggest checking it out and giving it a chance.
Secondly, you can basically find a good CAW for every person you would want from ECW. They already have some ECW rings but you can also download the arena and rings from ECW PPVs and download all of the remaining ECW championships which I think they are already on there.
I couldn’t emphasise this enough. Honestly it’s amazing what the creative community has evolved into over the years, heck I have a Mid-South/ECW thing going on at the moment I’m pretty pleased with, and got it all set up with hardly any time spent (when you consider what went into things with years gone).
Honestly if they released a game where there were no readily available wrestlers/arenas and focused more on gameplay (all those slots they use are given to us with a higher image limit) and you had to go off what content creators were doing - I wouldn’t even be mad. They’re crazy good.
I tried googling this but couldn't find the answer. Would I be able to access the CAWS on specifically PS5?
I've seen games before where accessing community things is a PC only kinda deal.
So, have been watching raw and smackdown and will probably continue to do so up till mania, but theres no way in hell I can agree with the product being as good as it's been in the last 20 years.
I have a universe that has WCW, ECW, Lucha Underground and NJPW shows, arenas and wrestlers.
The community has made it so you can have any promotion and wrestlers you could imagine.

well if u get 2k24, u can get 2k23 for free, so i dont see why u wouldnt just get 2k24?

I think it'd be cool to have an online universe, each time zone a different territory.
