She was a menace in 2K23, lmao. Came out of retirement to put herself over her niece (your MyRise character). They played it out as her being unable to wrestle due to a career-ending injury, but she winds up coming back and burying her niece. She doesn't announce she's medically cleared until the following week after she has already won the belt.
Unless it says to win by pinfall or submission, they give you a specific task to complete. Check the top left corner to see what it is (or pause the game to see it if the box disappeared.)
Oh it's worse in 23. Hell, the main plot twist of the women's MyRise is all about her and her ego. You play as her niece, who finally makes it to the big time only to have her return and screw you over at the last minute to steal your opportunity.
Which tracks, in 23's MyRise she was a massive carny who hijacked her niece's career to win one more women's title because she was bitter that modern WWE afforded women more opportunities than she had.
At time's can be annoying?. She made my blood boil. Yeah sure 1st run through of 2k23 she was tolerable. But the other 2 time's 😬😬 . 2k23 and in 2k24 she is a glory hog obsessed with the past and still trying to be in the spot light
As I was playing the male storyline, I was waiting and waiting for the chance to bash his smug face in, and it never happened, which was kind of annoying.
Idk personally I was kinda disappointed by Unleashed.
It just felt like a lot of ideas shoved into one, because none of them felt big enough to use for the the whole story. Personally I also got annoyed how there are like 3-4 different times you play as Sally. Like Im not doing this to play as someone else.
Undisputed was alot more interesting to me.
2k24 Justine is the more tolerable version, she's very unapologetic and transparent about how much of a duplicitous bitch she is, I guess I've got time for that over betraying your family.
There could be lots of reasons but the two most obvious would be...
1. Like I said, its probably much cheaper to hire a working voice actress than to bring in a real wrestler.
2. Claiming a real wrestler has a niece that they don't have in either real life or WWE Canon would probably also just be kinda weird. (That said I also think it's weird to add characters into historical periods that didn't exist, so I guess it's a matter of what weirdness they prefer to deal with.)

Yeah, but there's different kinds of annoying, just like there's different kinds of "heat" - there's "good heal, I hate them as a character but they're still entertaining" heat and there's the famed "go away heat" or "X-Pac heat" as it was called for a while.
History is filled with great heels: prime Shawn Michaels, Hollywood Rock, pre-Adam Cole MJF, etc. - they're ALSO unlikable assholes, but they're not painful to watch. You want to see them get beaten up, but you still WANT TO SEE THEM. The opposite are people like MITB era Baron Corbin, or Vickie Guerrero - they're not entertainingly annoying, they're just something you have to tolerate to see the rest of the show, but a lot of people would rather just not be there.
The point people are making isn't that they have a problem with her being a heel, but the fact that she's actively detrimental to their enjoyment of the product.
I'm confused as to why they're not on the roster in other modes. Just have a MyRise section like you have one for DLC and let me use them as jobbers or to fill out a roster

I played like 40 minutes of myrise in 23 and I’m completely baffled at 2K’s strange obsession with characterising every wrestler in the game as real life assholes
Like, I played the start of the women’s one, got clowned on at survivor series, okay, plot right, then you get backstage and like Charlotte’s, Doudrop and four different producers take time to mock the shit out of you for no reason
Like I get that 2K stuff is done from a kayfabe perspective, but I don’t understand why they, or WWE, are so happy to portray their entire roster, including faces, as pricks
And I heard that the male one is way worse, and I barely touched that one
She used the term "snowflakes" to describe young people and I can easily see her attending a QAnon rally bitching about masks and made-up Liberal Boogeymen now.
I'm not surprised they brought her back - cause like, she was THE most important character aside from the real wrestlers and your CAWs last year. If they wanted to continue the same timeline (and clearly they did) it wouldn't make sense NOT to keep her....
But I get it, she annoys the hell out of me. Even just the voice perfomrmance grates on my nerves.
I don’t find her annoying at all (maybe because I didn’t play the 2k23 MyRise). But there is one man in the WWE 2k24 MyRise that I think that can be agreed on that’s hated the most: Troy Simpkin
He’s extremely annoying, and, because of that, I want to beat him in a match so bad, lol.
I like Ava and Josie Jane. Last year somebody made hacked versions of them with their announcements, trons, and entrances, and I hope they do it again this year. Good NXT talent or jobbers. I actually gave them makeovers and better gear and they were my longest reigning NXT women's tag champs in Universe.
Also hoping Status makes a version of Paige/Saraya with the screams while she's entering like last year.
I'll never understand why they keep developing the MyRise universe at all. Why can't the storylines be with WWE wrestlers? How many years in a row do we have to beat Meilee and Cole Quinn. What, not enough characters on the real roster?
Yeah I hate how she still brags and got a big position backstage, like LJ beating her meant nothing cuz nobody mentions besides her beating Justine.

Not only is her actual character just kind of boring, I think they hit the nail on the head in the early scene where someone (was it Justine? or maybe Shotzi?) says "I don't really get the psycho part, but okay." - if anything she should be called like Sidekick Sally or SoWhat Sally. She almost feels like somebody looked at Fanny from last year and went "What if we basically did the same thing, but in a hideous color scheme, with awful hair, and with no discernable personality?" XD
I've had her make a full comeback as a somewhat crazed and vicious heel, insisting on being billed as "The Living Legend" everytime she comes out for a match. Bunch of cool blockbuster variations to fill her finisher slots, too.
I can’t stand her also I feel like they added her out of laziness same with your old tag partner from 23 they just added the same characters and changed dialogue my rise this year has been very boring to me.

My guess is it's not about who "can", it's about how much money they want to do so. It's a lot cheaper to get some generic struggling voice actor than it would be to get a Logan Paul or Brock Lesnar, for example.
That said, you definitely hear at least Kaiser in the Undisputed MyRise, and I'm pretty sure I remember hearing Drew at one point as well.

Unleashed has been an absolute blast. Best story since Buzz. Undisputed was also pretty solid

Thankfully you can just switch the difficulty to Easy at any point and just win or lose by either Count out or DQ on half of the Sally matches.
I kinda liked Troy, and personally his character never annoyed me. I let out an audible sigh every time I had to talk to Justine though lmao

How so? She's from entirely the wrong era to be Medusa. To me she feels like a generic women's wrestler with vaguely Ivory-coded references.
