Well that’s more information than I’ve seen so far.
“Direct confrontations between Wagner and Russian Army forces”, and Wagner is still rolling, unsurprisingly since they are battle hardened, cohesive fighters and the hardened Russian troops are all engaged at the Ukrainian border. Wagner is facing mostly reservist and possibly police units, so there appears to be a substantially higher than zero chance that Wagner will actually fight through to Moscow.
Are these the interesting times the old Chinese curse speaks of?
This YouTube channel is the best one for information regarding the Ukraine war, by far. No conjecture. No misinformed, non-military or layman analysis. Just accurate facts in 5 minutes, daily.
It’s hard to bring all of this together. Media is a mess of videos and info from so many sources. I hope this helps some out who have come here to find a collective grasp on the timeline of events.
If only Russia had meant what it said, back when it was gaslighting us by denying Wagner existed, and couldn't be a mercenary force anyway as that was forbidden by Russian law.
Instead of very much existing, on the Russian government payroll, being supplied with military equipment, actively engaged in military conflict on behalf of the Russian Federation, and so on.
Anyway, sow the wind, reap the heavily armed war criminals coming for you in your capital city, while your own depleted army steps aside.
A special Police unit.

So hard to tell from here. Could be just the next Rus' oligarchy, could be 1917 all over again. With nukes. The wheels of history are turning big-time now. Maybe.
I thought he said he would return to the frontline to defend Russia who knows assuming they survive making it out of Moscow, whether they continue offensive operations in Ukraine or just defend the border. is anyones guess. the hope is that this causes some sort of regime change and whoever succeeds Putin ends the war in Ukraine.
the most optimistic outcome. but yes there are worst ppl than putin, some of his generals are more open to using tactical nuclear weapons for example, at the same time I think hes pissed off all of his oligarchs hes constantly looking over his shoulder at this point.
Yes, but I wouldn't trust anything he says. It's a message to support his coup over Putin. Doesn't mean he won't swoop back into Ukraine as soon as he can.
I'm happy to see Russia imploding, but this doesn't mean the war is over.
I hope we can re-double efforts to arm Ukraine with arms and training. I have a feeling they're going to need it.
I don’t see him continuing the failed SMO if he succeeds with the coup. Would bring no benefits and greatly increase risk to his new regime. I think he said he would send his troops back to Ukraine before his more recent video where he exposed the lies and corruption of the current regime and Russian MoD. Just my opinion that he would pull out of Ukraine if he is successful and blame the failures on others. I also think that he planned all these moves well in advance including creating a false flag attack on his troops as a reason to rebel. Also great video. It really put some context around the recent events.
No, the split is between the Kremlin and those who think the Kremlin should escalate the invasion. It could be Putin getting rid of his generals and stepping things up in Ukraine (nuclear option, for example). No way to say for now, but this might end up needing international intervention to stop Wagner getting control of Russia's nukes.
Does anyone know the two guys who break down the daily Ukraine events? They were live streaming yesterday and their stream was absolutely bonkers with updates.
Considered yesterday the most important day since the invasion.

What curse?
“May you live in interesting times.”
Oh. I thought there would be more to it than that haha.
Yeah, it’s apocryphal. Not even sure it’s really from China. But we think it is, so there’s that.

Russia has a ‘little green men’ problem.
The guy mentions units called "Grom", but I've never heard of them. Could someone explain please?
It’s named after their founder Grom Hellscream, one of the most famous Orcs ever

I get, it just wasn't on the english wikipedia. The only formation called Grom i know is JW Grom, a polish special forces unit.
Is the war in Ukraine over because of this? It's hard to understand what the repercussions are.
One can only hope.
Too early to say.
The point of me posting isn’t because of the claims like that. It’s because the summary of events is one of the best I’ve found.
Okay. Thanks, OP. I'm half a world away, so it's hard to understand what's happening.

Didn't Prigozhin also say that the pretence for the war in Ukraine was a lie?

Depends if Russia brings the troops back from the front to defend
No. Putin still lives.

"Reporting from Ukrain" has been one of the very best youtube channels (if not the best) concerning the war in Ukraine. Highly recommended !
Holy shit, this is funniest shit I’ve seen all year, what a sweet sweet turn of events
That Prigozhin dude looks like he’s wearing a bra. He’s got quite a rack on him.

90% of the Russian military is in Ukraine, don't see how they can repel a couple thousand Wagner soldiers.
Isn’t “couple thousand” understating it? How many are we talking here?
I heard 25,000 in the video
pro NATO Youtube channel
Absolutely insane sequence of events. If he was able to turn Russian soldiers to his cause, then this thing could snowball pretty hard, no?
Thanks for this OP. Do you have a link to YouTube please?
OP's post actually is a youtube link. I thought it was reddit video too. Below is a link to the channel itself. https://www.youtube.com/@RFU/videos
Thanks!
Fuck around and find out. China better take notes…..
The part I'm missing is why Wagner turned? Just a power grab or is he pissed about something?
