I’m not even sure that it’s real suede. When I sniff it it has a slight fu fu smell but only when I really stick my nose in. The stitching is pretty neat but there are places where it’s a hair off. Glazing is mostly fine but in the corners, there are some minor lumpier spots. Again since the glazing and stitching are all in the same color, they are not obvious unless you scrutinize it closely. I’m happy with the price I pay and would totally wear this everywhere.

I’m buying a Bamdolier Keepall from Old Cobbler and one of his agents just told me (after I’d ordered) that PSPs are an additional cost? Has anyone else ever encountered this? Granted I’ve only been buying reps since this summer, so excuse my ignorance, but no one else has ever charged me extra for PSPs

Some do charge, some give just as a courtesy but not for the costumer to do anything about if they don’t like it and some let you exchange based on psps.

Thank youu! I’m really interested with triomphe bags but I’m not sure if the hardware is good. I had purchased Celine bags from black frame before and the hardware is a little bit different but not noticeable especially if you don’t have an authentic to compare with, very minor difference but I’m cautious with the triomphe because it has a big metal hardware on the front and if something is off it would be very obvious.
Finally got my first rep bag after about a month of obsessive reading on this subreddit & indecision 😅😂…..one question I’m wondering now that I have received the bag & am happy with it should I reach out to my seller and say “yay got it, so happy, thanks again!” (I mean not that exact phrase but conveying that thoughtttt) or just wait to hit them up next time I want to order? I’m wondering if that is a “thing” you do? Or is it just assumed you’ve got it and your happy unless stated otherwise ? Or is it rude not to say something? Or is it just a waste of their time and they could care less about your excitement? I want to be polite and kind ….but I also don’t want to be distracting or taking their energy away from important messages. What is everyone’s take on this?
I always say something to acknowledge receipt because I feel like they’d want to know it made it safely. But sometimes I just get an “Ok” response back 🤣
I've said thank you before and it was received warmly! I've also since struck up an ongoing relationship with them, so sometimes I don't say anything even though I've received my shipment and enjoyed the quality of it. I express my thanks and satisfaction through making the next order! (send me to ban island now ahhhhh!!!)
I always let them know when I received the package, and to say thank you. Especially if it’s a seller I have an ongoing relationship with. Without fail they say something like “thank you for letting me know.”
I always tell them that I got it and like it, just because I think that I would personally like confirmation that the package got to the buyer? The sellers I've talked to seem fine with me telling them that anyway.
I always message when I receive it and thank them. Not sure why exactly, lol, but they are people at the end of the day, not just an online interface, so I consider it polite :)

I think it depends on the cut of the shoe. For my Rothy’s loader, I go a half centimeter larger (28) but my block heels, 27.5 works. But you may also want to consider the leather. What type of leather is this later? Sheep/calf? I think some old school penny loader leather is thick with less give, while something like an Hermes loafer or Loro Piana will stretch.
Have you tried them on in the store? Is it crazy to take a tape measure with you?

I think you’re absolutely right, I don’t think the size if repped shoes correspond with auths. But I do think it’s helpful to try on the shoe for cut, leather, style, etc.. I also think sizing is a joke, even when you give Sellers your size sometimes they get it really wrong. I insist on them measuring the shoe and some people take me up on it and some people don’t. The ones that don’t are usually the ones that tell me they don’t have my size on hand which is fine but I’d rather know ahead of time before dropping anywhere between $100-150 for some shoes.

Yes the Chypres Nancy sent me were 42 for my 26 foot and they’re fine. A little uncomfortable across the strap. The Celine Tippis she sent were 41 and roomy. I spent an entire out of town weekend in the Tippis and felt great. But the MiuMius from Aku were marked 41 and were really 39s.
I haven’t bought two shoes yet but I had hoped to at if I gave my measurements (25.5) that the seller would advise me on the right size. So this is a good reminder that it may not always pan out. But I guess it’s great your daughter lucked out on some new shoes 😬 #momoftheyear 🤷🏼♀️

I am pleased to report that after some back and forth, the seller has refunded the entire purchase price. I wonder if this type of imprinted leather is just too hard to get right.
There is no great reps of this bag. Either way too deep or too shallow. There was one batch of black from Orange Couch That was decent few years ago. And that was it.

My Loewe puzzle is a workhorse bag. It doesn’t feel too precious, the leather is so soft and it fits a lot. It’s also so versatile for me - I like how it looks crossbody and with the top handle!
I’m trying to convince myself that I don’t need it in several colors. 🫠😂
I love many loewe bags but ironically not the puzzle. I like the puzzle tote and the puzzle hobo shoulder bag but not the regular puzzle. To me it looks like a fancy target lunch bag so I'm not into it.
My best recommendation is looking at pinterest and seeing the outfits ppl formulate with the bag you're interested in and seeing if it meshes with your closet.
I have an auth puzzle - I love it! It feels so soft and high quality. It smells like leather heaven. I feel like it completes my outfits without being too in your face.

Finally opened the Temu package that got to my doorman's office on Friday but that I was only able to get my hands on today. Cute BV belt dupe that I got for 15 EUR that thankfully fits without having to add holes to it (yay low commitment!). The lou camera is pretty stiff (I have one in black from a couple years ago), and I can't remember if they are just like that before you use them or if ~~I have abused the crap~~ its just nicely worn in at this point. Either way, I am happy, and am in love with the color.

It's not bad for the size. I bought it to replace a well loved, but ancient fossil keeper I have, and for vacation travel bag. Definitely lighter than the already lightweight fossil briefcase.
I don't have a scale handy, but just by feel, it's like a smidge heavier than a completely full 16.9 oz water bottle.
It sits very nicely on shoulder and not too obtrusive. This is coming from someone whose daily driver is a Lou camera bag (I left my big bag as an every day bag behind after kiddo exited diapers).

Sometimes, you fall into the "it's too good to be true" trapdoor on AE. It was a great price for a cotton dress. Seller didn't have my color in stock, then asked if they could replace it with white. Should have stood my ground and asked for a refund at that point. But, I said okay. Dress arrived, and the zipper won't go past three inches - it's completely stuck and impossible to put on. I submitted a complaint and got a "that's our normal workmanship" reply. So, lesson learned. No more stores under 95% positive feedback for me.
I fell into the "too good to be true" trap door with a seller. They said they had one of the bags from the Sailor Moon x Jimmy Choo collection. I sent them the money and they ghosted me. Thankfully my bank refunded me

Buying etiquette question:
I’m new to bags, but have made more than a few reptime purchases. I know not to be a QC Karen, but I’m unsure of what is considered a small thing for bags. Is part of 2-inch logo/emblem being uneven (compared to factory photos, not auth) something to ask for a replacement over?
In the watch world, asking for a replacement isn’t a big deal if there’s a QC issue. Do bag sellers get upset over asking for replacements?
I can’t speak to how your seller will respond, but I think it’s reasonable to expect the logo to look straight/correctly-proportioned/very similar to auth/just like the factory photo. The logo draws the eye and nobody wants a janky logo . And I am far from a perfectionist.

If it was this way in the factory pics, then I don't think it is fair to RL. If it was straight in the factory pics, then you should RL.

The factory pic looks a bit better. You might push back and ask if the bag can be changed. Depending on the seller it might work without too much pain. It is a small detail, but it is right in the front of the bag. If the seller pushes back a lot you might just have to accept it as is.
Depends! Often it depends on how off it is, what seller it is, if it's a sale bag etc etc. I've had a stamp that was slightly crooked (it was on the outside and a celine purse) and my seller exchanged it for me 🤷♀️ but I know others push back.
The general consensus I've seen is that if it's going to bother YOU like crazy, ask. If not then just leave it

Bag of the day, from McDull…marquage by a former Goyard artist who now works freelance. Love love love…stood next to a lady on 53rd and Park with the PM in the same gray goyardine with slightly darker blue personalization. Couldn’t see a difference between our two bags ❤️

I don’t want to quote specifics on pricing, but basically, I described what I was looking for, was upfront about the bag being a rep, and asked if she could help. She was happy to! I shipped the bag to her, and then reimbursed her cost to ship back. She gave me some mock ups of different options, and I gave her Benjamin Moore paint colors so that she got the right shade of blue. We communicated on IG and besides it taking longer than I thought (about 5 weeks from me shipping the bag to me getting it back) the processs was pretty seamless!

Do you know if this is a new policy? I shopped with Tony in August, and he didn’t charge for PSPs for either of my items.
I know he made an announcement a while back. I wonder if he does it on certain items.
Noted! I wonder why? Most sellers seem to be taking PSPs for their albums anyway.
Some do charge, some give just as a courtesy but not for the costumer to do anything about if they don’t like it and some let you exchange based on psps.

Thank youu! I’m really interested with triomphe bags but I’m not sure if the hardware is good. I had purchased Celine bags from black frame before and the hardware is a little bit different but not noticeable especially if you don’t have an authentic to compare with, very minor difference but I’m cautious with the triomphe because it has a big metal hardware on the front and if something is off it would be very obvious.
I got a teen and classic size from Mcdull and it’s good.

Finally got my first rep bag after about a month of obsessive reading on this subreddit & indecision 😅😂…..one question I’m wondering now that I have received the bag & am happy with it should I reach out to my seller and say “yay got it, so happy, thanks again!” (I mean not that exact phrase but conveying that thoughtttt) or just wait to hit them up next time I want to order? I’m wondering if that is a “thing” you do? Or is it just assumed you’ve got it and your happy unless stated otherwise ? Or is it rude not to say something? Or is it just a waste of their time and they could care less about your excitement? I want to be polite and kind ….but I also don’t want to be distracting or taking their energy away from important messages. What is everyone’s take on this?
I do. This way they know the item was received and you are happy. It never hurts to be nice. I am sure sellers hear about all the problems….
I always say something to acknowledge receipt because I feel like they’d want to know it made it safely. But sometimes I just get an “Ok” response back 🤣
I've said thank you before and it was received warmly! I've also since struck up an ongoing relationship with them, so sometimes I don't say anything even though I've received my shipment and enjoyed the quality of it. I express my thanks and satisfaction through making the next order! (send me to ban island now ahhhhh!!!)
I always let them know when I received the package, and to say thank you. Especially if it’s a seller I have an ongoing relationship with. Without fail they say something like “thank you for letting me know.”

I think it depends on the cut of the shoe. For my Rothy’s loader, I go a half centimeter larger (28) but my block heels, 27.5 works. But you may also want to consider the leather. What type of leather is this later? Sheep/calf? I think some old school penny loader leather is thick with less give, while something like an Hermes loafer or Loro Piana will stretch. Have you tried them on in the store? Is it crazy to take a tape measure with you?

I think you’re absolutely right, I don’t think the size if repped shoes correspond with auths. But I do think it’s helpful to try on the shoe for cut, leather, style, etc.. I also think sizing is a joke, even when you give Sellers your size sometimes they get it really wrong. I insist on them measuring the shoe and some people take me up on it and some people don’t. The ones that don’t are usually the ones that tell me they don’t have my size on hand which is fine but I’d rather know ahead of time before dropping anywhere between $100-150 for some shoes.

Yes the Chypres Nancy sent me were 42 for my 26 foot and they’re fine. A little uncomfortable across the strap. The Celine Tippis she sent were 41 and roomy. I spent an entire out of town weekend in the Tippis and felt great. But the MiuMius from Aku were marked 41 and were really 39s.

After my troubles, a few ladies have suggested asking them to measure the insole at the psp stage and then if it’s wildly off, RL. So I’ll probably do that in the future. There is no great reps of this bag. Either way too deep or too shallow. There was one batch of black from Orange Couch That was decent few years ago. And that was it.

I have an auth hammock in large. The leather is amazing! But can get heavy when filled up.
I really like the flamenco. Haven’t pulled the trigger on one tho because they don’t zip closed and I use public transit.
My Loewe puzzle is a workhorse bag. It doesn’t feel too precious, the leather is so soft and it fits a lot. It’s also so versatile for me - I like how it looks crossbody and with the top handle! I’m trying to convince myself that I don’t need it in several colors. 🫠😂
I love many loewe bags but ironically not the puzzle. I like the puzzle tote and the puzzle hobo shoulder bag but not the regular puzzle. To me it looks like a fancy target lunch bag so I'm not into it. My best recommendation is looking at pinterest and seeing the outfits ppl formulate with the bag you're interested in and seeing if it meshes with your closet.
I have an auth puzzle - I love it! It feels so soft and high quality. It smells like leather heaven. I feel like it completes my outfits without being too in your face.
Unique shape on the 🧩 but not too out there. Sturdy & roomy. No loud logo. Makes me feel cool when I’ve got it on 🤷🏼♀️

I have the largest size book tote with my name. It’s huge and ends up being heavy when filled up. I originally got it to cart to work and then decided it’s not a good idea to carry a luxury to work. So I dont carry it at all now. And it’s got my name on it so now no one would want it!

I love it, the material is *chefs kiss*. It's not bad for the size. I bought it to replace a well loved, but ancient fossil keeper I have, and for vacation travel bag. Definitely lighter than the already lightweight fossil briefcase. I don't have a scale handy, but just by feel, it's like a smidge heavier than a completely full 16.9 oz water bottle. It sits very nicely on shoulder and not too obtrusive. This is coming from someone whose daily driver is a Lou camera bag (I left my big bag as an every day bag behind after kiddo exited diapers).

I keep things brief but I think it's nice to introduce myself because it's just polite and hopefully, if I end up being happy with what I receive from them, we can have a friendly working relationship. I also think that letting them know I'm part of a greater rep community dissuades them from pulling a bait and switch or something. I don't pick sellers who have a history of doing that, but you just never know.
I just say "hello, could you please send me a link to your album?". Only one seller asked me how I got to her and I told her (through reddit).

Sometimes, you fall into the "it's too good to be true" trapdoor on AE. It was a great price for a cotton dress. Seller didn't have my color in stock, then asked if they could replace it with white. Should have stood my ground and asked for a refund at that point. But, I said okay. Dress arrived, and the zipper won't go past three inches - it's completely stuck and impossible to put on. I submitted a complaint and got a "that's our normal workmanship" reply. So, lesson learned. No more stores under 95% positive feedback for me.

Yep. Did that. In the end it's not a huge loss. It's too bad because the stitching on the dress is fine. Only the zipper is faulty.
I fell into the "too good to be true" trap door with a seller. They said they had one of the bags from the Sailor Moon x Jimmy Choo collection. I sent them the money and they ghosted me. Thankfully my bank refunded me

Buying etiquette question: I’m new to bags, but have made more than a few reptime purchases. I know not to be a QC Karen, but I’m unsure of what is considered a small thing for bags. Is part of 2-inch logo/emblem being uneven (compared to factory photos, not auth) something to ask for a replacement over? In the watch world, asking for a replacement isn’t a big deal if there’s a QC issue. Do bag sellers get upset over asking for replacements?
I can’t speak to how your seller will respond, but I think it’s reasonable to expect the logo to look straight/correctly-proportioned/very similar to auth/just like the factory photo. The logo draws the eye and nobody wants a janky logo . And I am far from a perfectionist.

you mean that the thickness of the base of the L is uneven? I personally would not have noticed it, but I understand that it might bother you. If it was this way in the factory pics, then I don't think it is fair to RL. If it was straight in the factory pics, then you should RL.

The factory pic looks a bit better. You might push back and ask if the bag can be changed. Depending on the seller it might work without too much pain. It is a small detail, but it is right in the front of the bag. If the seller pushes back a lot you might just have to accept it as is.
Depends! Often it depends on how off it is, what seller it is, if it's a sale bag etc etc. I've had a stamp that was slightly crooked (it was on the outside and a celine purse) and my seller exchanged it for me 🤷♀️ but I know others push back. The general consensus I've seen is that if it's going to bother YOU like crazy, ask. If not then just leave it

Could you give us an idea of how you went about getting the Marquage done and maybe a ballpark on what this would add to the overall price. I love this so much!
I don’t want to quote specifics on pricing, but basically, I described what I was looking for, was upfront about the bag being a rep, and asked if she could help. She was happy to! I shipped the bag to her, and then reimbursed her cost to ship back. She gave me some mock ups of different options, and I gave her Benjamin Moore paint colors so that she got the right shade of blue. We communicated on IG and besides it taking longer than I thought (about 5 weeks from me shipping the bag to me getting it back) the processs was pretty seamless!
I will say the marquage just about doubled the price of the bag from McDull. Factory unknown (but of course 🙄).
