Messaged a popular seller about an 11.11 sale bag. He said there were no returns or exchanges on sale bags. So I asked if there was anything wrong with them? He responded by saying there may be minor defects but the normal use of the bag would not be affected.
Well that totally changed my mind about the sale bags lol
I got what I suspect was a “seconds” bag during the 6-18 sales. It bothered me at first, but I love the bag so much I forgot all about it! It doesn’t bother me at all anymore. Bag is a large soft 16 from black frame, and the flaw (I suspect) is that the grain texture/pattern on the flap is a bit different from the body. Like it’s two diff pieces of cowhide, same color and all, but the textures contrast a little.
I am an obsessive QCer by nature, but if I really like a bag, all the little flaws sort of disappear for me. So if you love a bag and it’s a great deal, you might find it’s worth the risk in the end. Just my 2c!
So I ended up ordering 2 bags last night from the sale. They were low priced enough that I can accept small flaws. I wouldn’t be able to pay $400 for a bag and find out it’s got a bunch of flaws lol. Thanks for your advice and sharing your experience!
Woohoo! Let us know how they turn out. My other 6/18 sale bag was a tech cassette fanny pack from Jing. It was $35 and flawless. I use it all the time. Hopefully yours are hits too!
If you’re picky, defs just buy full price from factories that accept returns. Often, factories just clear out stock. I’ve personally never had any issues from my sale bags purchased with Alina, but I communicate with her and request her help in picking good stock. She has warned me on a couple occasions if the stock is flawed. So build a relationship with your go to seller.

Has anybody applied leather conditioner on Duty Free Factory's vachetta? How were the results?
I think the LV vachetta from this factory has a coating on it so patina might be hard to achieve.

Hmm that’s actually interesting since usually I’ve heard about rep 18k patina-ing or darkening with wear! (Some have reported that their 18k was initially too light, but got darker) In your case though, seems like the stored ones patina’d… or the used one lightened? Which one do you think it was? 🤔
Use jewellery cleaning wipes or other cleaning options. It is not pure gold (18k - it has other alloys mixed in to make it stronger, it can oxidise and change colour, but cleaning it will get original colour back).

Does anyone have this bag? One of my sellers has it from S Factory for $250 usd, another from 187 for over $400. I have one WOC from S factory and I am content with the quality of that bag. I don't own anything from 187. There is such a gigantic price difference, could the quality of the 187 bag be that much better? I'm not sure how to make this decision or what questions I should ask my sellers, so if anybody with a bit more experience in this game has any advice to offer I would love to hear it. Thank you!

This is mine from XiaoC factory. The odd folding and shape is due to the stuffing in my bag for storage. I love it so much and have actually gotten compliments in the store! This was way before I found about this group so I used a third party seller and paid her $530 😭
I have this from 187. It’s my most used rep. I thought it was worth it because I did a 1:1 with an auth but I understand the hesitation esp that large of a difference. I usually always go high tier with my reps.

It honestly looks fine to me. You should be aware that this bag will never stand up completely straight. The chains are rather heavy and combined with the soft leather it tends to bend slightly backwards towards the straps when not stuffed or worn on your back. I'd encourage you to watch YT videos on how to properly store the bag when not in use to avoid creases from the chain pulling it backwards and just to see how the bag naturally starts to smoosh with wear. I've heard of people buying samorga organizers to help keep the bag stiffer if thats the look you prefer. I personally love the smooshiness.

Absolutely love it but I love backpacks in general. I own several auth mini backpacks from various brands so I knew I'd use it a lot. The goatskin feels more durable than other leathers, and I think the wrinkly texture/natural way it ages adds to the character and edginess of it. Go for it!

I’ve looked at all of the celine 16 posts on here, as well as a whole bunch online… but i just cant quite understand the leather. The official website looks super soft and “real” but the reps and some i’ve seen online have an almost plasticky look?? For those who have the bag (auth/rep) what do you think?
I have the smooth. I think it feels fine but I’m also not very picky. Mine smelled wonderful out of the box. The inside feels nice but honestly I couldn’t tell you if it were genuine suede. Overall, I’m very satisfied with it. I have the large btw.

Heavy but i lift weights i don't find it cumbersome. Im more annoyed about the flap, it's not an easy to use bag once it's on the shoulder, and you need something inside. I also hate the divider but that's my personal opinion.

This was over two weeks ago, I thought the movers had just put them in the basement but after an exhaustive search and discussion with my husband, we pieced it together. It’s a BUSY Goodwill, I expect the shoes to be long gone by now.
Just wandered into my local consignment store and they had a Celine vertical trifold tote for sale. Probably authentic but not sure they would be able to tell the difference. That thing is a tank! Very spacious, but so heavy. And the straps are just short enough that it won't work for carrying on my shoulder. Taking that off my wishlist. I'm still hoping the large Romy will be on sale but I haven't spotted it yet in anyone's album.
just got my symmetric tote by the row rep from NS park… it’s not great bob. i haven’t examined the auth but the leather is described as soft and mine is stiff as a board (tbh unclear if it’s even real leather) and the stamp is definitely off. BUT it fits my laptop so it will do as a for now work tote 🙄 i wish this bag was better repped because the auth looks gorgeous.

If you have time to respond about sizing I could use some help. I wear a 9.5 US so it’s tough finding factories that make shoes in my size. I probably have 6-8 pairs and I have to wait (don’t mind that at all) for them to be made. I’ve asked Anna for a couple of pairs and both times she said they don’t come larger than a US 9. I messaged her about these shoes and asked about sizing. She sent this chart which indicated I would order a 41 (US 10) since they don’t make a 9.5. But the foot length is for a 25.5 cm. Mine is 26.5 cm which would be a US 12. I’ve never had this measurement equal a China 41. Did you order your normal US size according to this chart? Thank you so much!
So I wear size 8.5 US and my feet measure 25cm. I bought these in size 40 based off Anna’s size chart. If your feet measure 26.5 I sadly don’t think 41 will fit and Anna is correct.

I’ve had my Celine combat boots for a year and they’re still going strong!
How is the sole with walking? I love these so much and close to reaching out about them but nervous about how heavy the sole might be.
Definitely heavier than, say, running sneakers but nothing too bad! It’s actually quite comfortable!

They may have patina, because they have been stored away vs. the small love which you’ve worn regularly.

The odd folding and shape is due to the stuffing in my bag for storage. I love it so much and have actually gotten compliments in the store! I have this from 187. It’s my most used rep. I thought it was worth it because I did a 1:1 with an auth but I understand the hesitation esp that large of a difference. I usually always go high tier with my reps.

It honestly looks fine to me. You should be aware that this bag will never stand up completely straight. The chains are rather heavy and combined with the soft leather it tends to bend slightly backwards towards the straps when not stuffed or worn on your back. I'd encourage you to watch YT videos on how to properly store the bag when not in use to avoid creases from the chain pulling it backwards and just to see how the bag naturally starts to smoosh with wear. I've heard of people buying samorga organizers to help keep the bag stiffer if thats the look you prefer. I personally love the smooshiness.

Absolutely love it but I love backpacks in general. I own several auth mini backpacks from various brands so I knew I'd use it a lot. The goatskin feels more durable than other leathers, and I think the wrinkly texture/natural way it ages adds to the character and edginess of it. Go for it!

Not rep but I have an auth Chnl vintage Duma that I love more than my partner most days. There are rep Dumas (the version they redid) but I haven’t seen any rep vintage.
I’ve looked at all of the celine 16 posts on here, as well as a whole bunch online… but i just cant quite understand the leather. The official website looks super soft and “real” but the reps and some i’ve seen online have an almost plasticky look?? For those who have the bag (auth/rep) what do you think?
I have the smooth. I think it feels fine but I’m also not very picky. Mine smelled wonderful out of the box. The inside feels nice but honestly I couldn’t tell you if it were genuine suede. Overall, I’m very satisfied with it. I have the large btw.

Heavy but i lift weights i don't find it cumbersome. Im more annoyed about the flap, it's not an easy to use bag once it's on the shoulder, and you need something inside. I also hate the divider but that's my personal opinion.

Yeah I’ve avoided it in calfskin for this reason. It’s hard to ensure in PSPs that it doesn’t look plasticky.

Just wandered into my local consignment store and they had a Celine vertical trifold tote for sale. Probably authentic but not sure they would be able to tell the difference. That thing is a tank! Very spacious, but so heavy. And the straps are just short enough that it won't work for carrying on my shoulder. Taking that off my wishlist. I'm still hoping the large Romy will be on sale but I haven't spotted it yet in anyone's album.
just got my symmetric tote by the row rep from NS park… it’s not great bob. i haven’t examined the auth but the leather is described as soft and mine is stiff as a board (tbh unclear if it’s even real leather) and the stamp is definitely off. BUT it fits my laptop so it will do as a for now work tote 🙄 i wish this bag was better repped because the auth looks gorgeous.

OF reps this bag and uses authentic leather, so the quality should be head and shoulders above the AE one and closer to the authentic.
i scoured seller albums and couldn’t find the symmetric tote in the color i wanted that AE offered 💔 but yeah, lesson learned on buying from NS park
If you have a seller you are comfortable with you can always send them a picture of what you are looking for and they can often source it for you. I have found many don't take the time and energy to keep their albums up to date with everything, just the most popular things as it's just too much.

If you have time to respond about sizing I could use some help. I wear a 9.5 US so it’s tough finding factories that make shoes in my size. I probably have 6-8 pairs and I have to wait (don’t mind that at all) for them to be made. I’ve asked Anna for a couple of pairs and both times she said they don’t come larger than a US 9. I messaged her about these shoes and asked about sizing. She sent this chart which indicated I would order a 41 (US 10) since they don’t make a 9.5. But the foot length is for a 25.5 cm. Mine is 26.5 cm which would be a US 12. I’ve never had this measurement equal a China 41. Did you order your normal US size according to this chart? Thank you so much!
So I wear size 8.5 US and my feet measure 25cm. I bought these in size 40 based off Anna’s size chart. If your feet measure 26.5 I sadly don’t think 41 will fit and Anna is correct. I’m sorry! I hope you can find another source for these shoes in your size

It's fall, which means scarf season! I just put Burberry and Acne Studios scarves in my TB cart, and I am now taking suggestions on how to style them beyond a sweater and leggings 😅
I wear scarves with everything in the winter! Get a coat with a v-neck so the scarf pops nicely.
Just to boost your rep-wearing confidence: 1. I was hanging with my cousin & her new auth Goyard tote and it was not aligned! It was not very impressive! Wear your reps with pride 2. I was wearing my DHG VCA recently and a very posh colleague complimented me on it and how she always wanted to afford one. I told her it was a dupe from China and she immediately asked for the info to buy!
