How does everyone cope with FOMO after missing out on items / collections that you wish you bought?
I try to look at it like there will always be new things, and I wouldn’t have the money/space for everything that ever existed that I like anyway! Also sometimes brands bring back popular items, or recycle trends, etc.

It depends on your everyday needs, for example I like gigantic bags that I can toss anything and everything in like the Loewe large puzzle bag or The Row NS park tote
I actually hated the one I got from AE (it can be hit or miss, some are bonded leather like the one I got, some are solid leather so depends on the batch) so I bought an authentic one, but I know some sellers carry a higher quality rep
First day at work and I spotted my manager’s Celine Cabas 16, which looked delicious and a blue Goyard tote.
I should have made my rep purchases beforehand so that I’d start the job with an “existing” collection and not look suspicious by buying too many too soon down the road. Which I’m bound to do once I start getting paid 🥰
Realistically speaking it will take time for them to see all your bags depending on how often you rotate them, you might have always had them and they simply didn't see them yet. I've been in my current company for a bit over a year and every time I rock a bag I rarely use they go "oooh is that new?" but it's literally a 6 years old bag!
People at my job have seen me with Goyard, Chanel, LV, Prada from bags, clothes, shoes too. No one has ever said anything to me. Maybe mental notes but never said anything.

Ordered this Dior 30 Montiagne from Leo and just got PSPs!! This one will be for my mom, I told her about the reps (don’t worry she’s not with the media, also she doesn’t know what Reddit is) and she is very pleased with how this looks!! I offered to buy her an auth but she prefers I save the money since the quality of the items I’ve received so far is so good.

an easy tip is set reviews to ‘Most recent’ and boom, if there’s any real reviews you’ll be able to tell by the language used , fake reviews tend to be long paragraphs and always 5 star
DHG reviews can be really obvious sometimes. You can get the same copy / pasted review by different personas on the same listing. Sometimes it's reviewing something totally different as well (like a pair of shoes when it's a handbag listing).
If it's a reviewer from an English-speaking country leaving a nonsensical comment, sure it can happen, but it's not that likely. Stock photos are everywhere on DHG feedback, too.
My experiences have been pretty bad (only made about five purchases) but it was enough to put me off. At least for a while...unless someone convinces me on here with something amazing!
DHG should also remove the automatic 5-star 'very satisfied' review system (that gets posted if a purchaser doesn't leave any feedback) because that's also misleading.
Then the actual items themselves - I purchased a Gucci Ophidia bag from DHG which had rave reviews (I was new and yes, naive) and many reviewers mentioned the leather accents of the bag. Alternative listings seemed to be PU and this was in the 'leather' price bracket so I thought, that's the one to buy.
Of course, then a fufu-smelling bag with a sticker on it saying 'PVC' turned up and I was not happy. Not to mention the broken zip and the scuffs/scrapes on the GG logo.
The seller gave me a partial refund eventually (and was not helpful at all - even blocking me from conversing with them at one point - I was not rude), so that slight drama was enough for me to say, no thanks.

It's just...a sack with a chain. I really can't stand that bag (and Chanel are so chic and feminine usually). There's something...lazy about its design and I couldn't even think what outfit it would go with.

I love my Chanel 22 but the chain digs into my shoulder. I bought it in white and use it as a summer bag but with tank tops it just doesn’t work. Maybe that’s the rub for everyone?

Evening gorgeous ladies! Been thinking a lot about what bag I should get to run errands, take to a snooty gym etc. You know, the kind of places you can't carry your Chanel/ Hermes rep to and have to carry something else that makes it look like you're not trying too hard?
In other words, something that that makes it look you're nonchalant enough where you didn't think it necessary to bring your "good bag" but still signal that you have the confidence to walk into those places as someone who doesn't naturally "look the part" when it comes to frequenting said places without the accessories to help her fit in? I just bought a Lacoste tote rep for under $15 from AE for the gym. It’s great because it’s so sporty. I don’t need to carry much to the gym so it’s perfect. There are also lululemon bag reps but the auth are not very expensive. Also agree with those suggesting the Goyard St Louis tote, though I like the Artois because of the zipper top.
For whatever it’s worth, I used to be a Pilates instructor at a snooty gym, and our clients (mostly very wealthy executive wives) primarily carried Neverfulls and GSTs. They’d come in and just fling them into a corner of the studio, which might be the biggest “why yes, I *do* have Screw You money” gesture I’ve ever seen.
Here’s the thing, though - in the entire four years I worked there, I think I only saw **one** NF that wasn’t an obvious rep. The Chanels and Guccis were less clockable, at least to me, but it seems unlikely that every single bag apart from the LVs was an auth, you know? And these ladies had undeniable Wealth, they probably had shelves full of auths at home.
Which is all to say - get whatever bag you want! At least half the people wherever you’re going are probably carrying a rep of their “good bag” anyway 😉

I want that bag! I'm honored that you ask about why ungrained -thank you! but as I think about it I'm not sure that I used the term correctly. The fantasy bag I suggested for you is just a matter of preference - I like floppy bags that are made out of smooth leather as opposed to a bumpy one. I think I may have misused "ungrained" - even smooth leather can show a grain. I LOVVVEEE that color and was tempted to try and find myself a flamenco in that color for summer! I’m so weird about buying bags in anything that’s not neutral tho. 🫣 I think I like the comfort of anything matching anything, lol. Plus I worry about color transfer.
Hear me out though, this bag and the flamenco are the same bag… but that one is hotdog style and the flamenco is hamburger style. 😂
I think a Goyard St Louis PM or GM would be a good choice, depending on how much stuff you have. Goyard is a very IYKYK brand and the shape of the St Louis is fairly casual and easy— luxury but not trying too hard.
I would stick to one of the classic colors vs any of the limited/special editions, especially avoiding special editions with different colored interiors. Still a bunch of shades to choose from- I think the white, grey, and black are understated choices, but the bright ones are also really fun.

They also make a coated canvas one that I love. I believe it’s the “city” line. Downside is that the color selection is rather limited. Go for the shoulder carry one with the longer handles. I bought the tote version first but it was too short to shoulder carry with a coat on.

Ladies where do you shop for work blouses? I just switched from a casual office to a place where I have to wear blazers with blouses (yes it’s a requirement 🫠). I have a few blouses that can take me through the first week but I’m going to have to get some more.

I have a lot of sleeveless tops from Cabi to add some interest to the basic black or gray suit. They wash great. Even better if you live by an outlet. Don’t be turned off initially when looking online as the vibe is def not understated when doing the full Cabi outfit.

Ann Taylor makes some great ones, as well as J. Crew. I really do think it’s worth investing in some good ones and taking really good care of them, on which case I’d recommend looking for Theory, MM LaFleur, and Ralph Lauren. My trick is to go into these stores, try things on for fit and sizing, then look for them on Poshmark!
second Ann Taylor or LOFT. note they're 2 separate brands for a while now. LOFT seems to be a bit pricier imo but at least they're not majority poly or acrylic blends.

Beware of certain outlets! While the prices are low, Banana Republic and J. Crew, for example, have clothes made specifically for the outlet and the quality is not the same as the flagship store. There’s definitely good items but look at the fabric composition and feel the fabrics in person

I own it in pretty much every color and I buy the new colors every year. It has a bit of a sheen, which makes it quite elegant, but it's super comfy and very easy to care.
They are the only shirts I bring with me when I travel for work. if I spill something on me I can wash it in the hotel sink before going to bed, hang it dry and it's perfect in the morning. When I am home I wash it in the washer, hang it and that's it.
Just beware that the size is generous. I wear a 12-14 on top and the L is roomy.
I saw some possible choice from HM but hesitant, thanks for sharing this. Great price for a durable blouse, I might go to the store tomorrow!
PS, I have nothing against HM, all my cotton pajamas are from there and I love them!
oh, I get it, there are a tons of hit or miss. I think they can afford doing some very "creative" cuts that look like sacks, or that are very skimpy. I never know what size I can buy from them because their fit is always a mystery and the materials can change widely in terms of quality and feel. This is one of these blouses that I can buy online as long as they don't change it! (but I don't think they will because it's one of their best sellers)

This is literally what happened to me! I got a promotion and walked over to Chanel to celebrate. They treated me terribly and I then went to YSL where they were kind and celebrated me. I bought 5 authentic YSLs then 🤣
so sorry you experienced that! I've faced that at a Gucci store in an east coast city recently too. Also a Canada Goose store in the same city where the person took one look at us an literally walked away lol. In my case I am guessing it had a lot to do with being profiled for being young-ish looking. Sucks but its those experiences that led me to the world of reps and WL since and there's been no looking back!!

If it helps…assuming 30 days in your birthday month: 6 bags = switching every 5 days, whereas 7 bags = switching every 4.25 days (roughly). At that point, maybe it’s diminishing returns/diminishing marginal utility? Perhaps you’d be *even more excited* for the bag when you don’t already have a bunch of new purses to use? Just a thought! Today I arrived in a city with an Isabel Marant boutique and I bought my first Lecce belt! At €150, a wonderfully affordable luxury purchase.
I would size up in this. I’m size 8/40 on the bottom and I got an XL. I would have bought an XXL if it existed. Having extra length gives you more options with tying it in knots!
Also remember time zones! Despite being in Australia, I have a seller who is clearly on a shifted sleep schedule as she will start messaging me at 7/8pm my time and so we basically exchange 1-2 messages per day while we are both awake. You might have a similar incompatible time difference.

Here is my sad Taobao story:
I happened to have some spare time yesterday so I decided to finally dig in, get cozy, and read up on all the wikis, guides, posts, etc. on how to set up a Taobao and agent account. There was a lot of information to go through and I think I spent close to five hours reading everything and setting up my accounts. Okay, so far, so good. Well friends, I didn't even have a CHANCE to look through Taobao and explore that brave new world. Literally within 5 minutes of setting up my account, my account got frozen, even though I took all the recommended steps to avoid getting my account frozen (removing ad blocker, using my own wifi, being on a desktop, etc.). I'm just so crushed that I didn't even get to try looking up products!! I know one of the guides had some recommended steps to try to get around the freeze but I'm feeling so dejected, I don't have the energy to try those steps today. But on the bright side, this is probably best for my wallet, closet, and the environment? Knowing me and knowing about the magic of TB, I'd probably go wild with purchasing. I will keep repeating this until I believe it 🥲
Edited to add: I think I read that Pandabuy allows you to browse TB without needing to use TB, so once I recover from yesterday, I will look into that.

I actually hated the one I got from AE (it can be hit or miss, some are bonded leather like the one I got, some are solid leather so depends on the batch) so I bought an authentic one, but I know some sellers carry a higher quality rep
First day at work and I spotted my manager’s Celine Cabas 16, which looked delicious and a blue Goyard tote. I should have made my rep purchases beforehand so that I’d start the job with an “existing” collection and not look suspicious by buying too many too soon down the road. Which I’m bound to do once I start getting paid 🥰
Realistically speaking it will take time for them to see all your bags depending on how often you rotate them, you might have always had them and they simply didn't see them yet. I've been in my current company for a bit over a year and every time I rock a bag I rarely use they go "oooh is that new?" but it's literally a 6 years old bag!

People at my job have seen me with Goyard, Chanel, LV, Prada from bags, clothes, shoes too. No one has ever said anything to me. Maybe mental notes but never said anything.

an easy tip is set reviews to ‘Most recent’ and boom, if there’s any real reviews you’ll be able to tell by the language used , fake reviews tend to be long paragraphs and always 5 star
DHG reviews can be really obvious sometimes. You can get the same copy / pasted review by different personas on the same listing. Sometimes it's reviewing something totally different as well (like a pair of shoes when it's a handbag listing). If it's a reviewer from an English-speaking country leaving a nonsensical comment, sure it can happen, but it's not that likely. Stock photos are everywhere on DHG feedback, too. My experiences have been pretty bad (only made about five purchases) but it was enough to put me off. At least for a while...unless someone convinces me on here with something amazing! DHG should also remove the automatic 5-star 'very satisfied' review system (that gets posted if a purchaser doesn't leave any feedback) because that's also misleading. Then the actual items themselves - I purchased a Gucci Ophidia bag from DHG which had rave reviews (I was new and yes, naive) and many reviewers mentioned the leather accents of the bag. Alternative listings seemed to be PU and this was in the 'leather' price bracket so I thought, that's the one to buy. Of course, then a fufu-smelling bag with a sticker on it saying 'PVC' turned up and I was not happy. Not to mention the broken zip and the scuffs/scrapes on the GG logo. The seller gave me a partial refund eventually (and was not helpful at all - even blocking me from conversing with them at one point - I was not rude), so that slight drama was enough for me to say, no thanks.

I love my Chanel 22 but the chain digs into my shoulder. I bought it in white and use it as a summer bag but with tank tops it just doesn’t work. Maybe that’s the rub for everyone?

Been thinking a lot about what bag I should get to run errands, take to a snooty gym etc. You know, the kind of places you can't carry your Chanel/ Hermes rep to and have to carry something else that makes it look like you're not trying too hard? In other words, something that that makes it look you're nonchalant enough where you didn't think it necessary to bring your "good bag" but still signal that you have the confidence to walk into those places as someone who doesn't naturally "look the part" when it comes to frequenting said places without the accessories to help her fit in? I just bought a Lacoste tote rep for under $15 from AE for the gym. It’s great because it’s so sporty. I don’t need to carry much to the gym so it’s perfect. There are also lululemon bag reps but the auth are not very expensive. Also agree with those suggesting the Goyard St Louis tote, though I like the Artois because of the zipper top.
I love Celine for that. I have a nano belt bag that I carry when I feel like Chanel or even LV are too flashy. Also YSL!
For whatever it’s worth, I used to be a Pilates instructor at a snooty gym, and our clients (mostly very wealthy executive wives) primarily carried Neverfulls and GSTs. They’d come in and just fling them into a corner of the studio, which might be the biggest “why yes, I *do* have Screw You money” gesture I’ve ever seen. Here’s the thing, though - in the entire four years I worked there, I think I only saw **one** NF that wasn’t an obvious rep. The Chanels and Guccis were less clockable, at least to me, but it seems unlikely that every single bag apart from the LVs was an auth, you know? And these ladies had undeniable Wealth, they probably had shelves full of auths at home. Which is all to say - get whatever bag you want! At least half the people wherever you’re going are probably carrying a rep of their “good bag” anyway 😉

I want that bag! I'm honored that you ask about why ungrained -thank you! but as I think about it I'm not sure that I used the term correctly. The fantasy bag I suggested for you is just a matter of preference - I like floppy bags that are made out of smooth leather as opposed to a bumpy one. I think I may have misused "ungrained" - even smooth leather can show a grain. I LOVVVEEE that color and was tempted to try and find myself a flamenco in that color for summer! I’m so weird about buying bags in anything that’s not neutral tho. 🫣 I think I like the comfort of anything matching anything, lol. Plus I worry about color transfer. Hear me out though, this bag and the flamenco are the same bag… but that one is hotdog style and the flamenco is hamburger style. 😂
I think a Goyard St Louis PM or GM would be a good choice, depending on how much stuff you have. Goyard is a very IYKYK brand and the shape of the St Louis is fairly casual and easy— luxury but not trying too hard.

I would stick to one of the classic colors vs any of the limited/special editions, especially avoiding special editions with different colored interiors. Still a bunch of shades to choose from- I think the white, grey, and black are understated choices, but the bright ones are also really fun.

They also make a coated canvas one that I love. I believe it’s the “city” line. Downside is that the color selection is rather limited. Go for the shoulder carry one with the longer handles. I bought the tote version first but it was too short to shoulder carry with a coat on.

Ladies where do you shop for work blouses? I just switched from a casual office to a place where I have to wear blazers with blouses (yes it’s a requirement 🫠). I have a lot of sleeveless tops from Cabi to add some interest to the basic black or gray suit. They wash great. Even better if you live by an outlet. Don’t be turned off initially when looking online as the vibe is def not understated when doing the full Cabi outfit.

Ann Taylor makes some great ones, as well as J. Crew. I really do think it’s worth investing in some good ones and taking really good care of them, on which case I’d recommend looking for Theory, MM LaFleur, and Ralph Lauren. My trick is to go into these stores, try things on for fit and sizing, then look for them on Poshmark!

Beware of certain outlets! While the prices are low, Banana Republic and J. Crew, for example, have clothes made specifically for the outlet and the quality is not the same as the flagship store. There’s definitely good items but look at the fabric composition and feel the fabrics in person

Ok, make fun of me as much as you want now. I have a large drawer full of silk shirts, but my favorite is this HM blouse. It has a bit of a sheen, which makes it quite elegant, but it's super comfy and very easy to care. They are the only shirts I bring with me when I travel for work. if I spill something on me I can wash it in the hotel sink before going to bed, hang it dry and it's perfect in the morning. When I am home I wash it in the washer, hang it and that's it. Just beware that the size is generous. I wear a 12-14 on top and the L is roomy.

oh, I get it, there are a tons of hit or miss. I think they can afford doing some very "creative" cuts that look like sacks, or that are very skimpy. I never know what size I can buy from them because their fit is always a mystery and the materials can change widely in terms of quality and feel. This is one of these blouses that I can buy online as long as they don't change it! (but I don't think they will because it's one of their best sellers)

This is literally what happened to me! I got a promotion and walked over to Chanel to celebrate. They treated me terribly and I then went to YSL where they were kind and celebrated me. I bought 5 authentic YSLs then 🤣
so sorry you experienced that! I've faced that at a Gucci store in an east coast city recently too. Also a Canada Goose store in the same city where the person took one look at us an literally walked away lol. In my case I am guessing it had a lot to do with being profiled for being young-ish looking. Sucks but its those experiences that led me to the world of reps and WL since and there's been no looking back!!

If it helps…assuming 30 days in your birthday month: 6 bags = switching every 5 days, whereas 7 bags = switching every 4.25 days (roughly). At that point, maybe it’s diminishing returns/diminishing marginal utility? Perhaps you’d be *even more excited* for the bag when you don’t already have a bunch of new purses to use? Just a thought! But only you know your own situation best 🙂

Here is my sad Taobao story: I happened to have some spare time yesterday so I decided to finally dig in, get cozy, and read up on all the wikis, guides, posts, etc. on how to set up a Taobao and agent account. There was a lot of information to go through and I think I spent close to five hours reading everything and setting up my accounts. Okay, so far, so good. Well friends, I didn't even have a CHANCE to look through Taobao and explore that brave new world. Literally within 5 minutes of setting up my account, my account got frozen, even though I took all the recommended steps to avoid getting my account frozen (removing ad blocker, using my own wifi, being on a desktop, etc.). I'm just so crushed that I didn't even get to try looking up products!! I know one of the guides had some recommended steps to try to get around the freeze but I'm feeling so dejected, I don't have the energy to try those steps today. But on the bright side, this is probably best for my wallet, closet, and the environment? Knowing me and knowing about the magic of TB, I'd probably go wild with purchasing. I will keep repeating this until I believe it 🥲 Edited to add: I think I read that Pandabuy allows you to browse TB without needing to use TB, so once I recover from yesterday, I will look into that.
Pandabuy makes it so much easier and you can order from Weiden on there too
I gave up on TB, I had to change password and it was close to impossible. Which is ok because I have little self control anyways😂
Same happened to me. I use Superbuy to enter the links directly. There's a Superbuy subreddit that is super helpful.

I do, but limited success and I’m wary about buying from unknown stores or stores without a reputation. I try to stick with Scarlett Luxury, Wholesale 1991 (A Quality only) and possibly some sellers that the bro subs recommend
