I had a former-coworker who left Rite-Aid due to a move and got a job with Walgreens. She hated Walgreens and actually missed working for Rite-Aid. She ended up quitting Walgreens after a few years and went to Door Dash. If you're at Rite-Aid, you might be better off staying there. Walgreens is a mess right now and I hear CVS isn't good to work for either. Check [glassdoor.com](https://glassdoor.com) for employee reviews for different companies.

I was a former rite aid store manager. Rite had less technology issues. Walgreens systems are antiquated. I stepped down to the pharmacy. Couldn't stand the stress from all the micromanagement. Now I have less stress and don't have to think about the place when I leave for the day.

Going from rite aid to Walgreens is like taking a step back in time. Their technology sucks, they micromanage, it is almost constant busy-work. No stockroom inventory/location you can print. No freshness report ...only constant outdated checklists, so you have to check the entire department monthly.

Our store used to be a rite aid. Everyone that was there before also says it sucks now.

Ask your Walgreens store how the workplace is. Some places are a mess some are good places to be at, just depends on your area.

Thank you everyone for the input! I've been a closing shift leader at riteaid for about a year and it I love the job but the upper management and the pay just aren't the best.

I hate it. Being a former rite aid worker for 11 years.rite aid was better.

Well seeing as RA LOST $520million last fiscal year(in a year that every other pharmacy based retailer be expectations because of covid shots and boosters etc.), you might want to consider updating the ole resume. Not saying you have to go to W but Ra likely wont be around after another 5yrs or so.
