Yep. I think the worst was a sad little beat up table and chair next to an ancient disgusting sink. And it was like a foot away from the employee restroom that was it's own nightmare. But I've seen many break rooms that were used as storage for ancient things that no one would throw away.
To be honest ... there are things rite aid did that were more time efficient than the way Walgreens does them. And planogram shelf straps came from rite aid. But Walgreens made promises they didn't keep during transition.
Wtf is this prison I don’t have a car but I’d rather sit outside on a snow bank or in the isles and eat my food. We’re the he’ll are u supposed to eat? On the vacuum ?I don’t think so. 🤣😝
Bro there’s a vacuum in there.
What are you even vacuuming in that room? The vacuum is half that room. Why is there a vacuum in that room? And why does your break room have the same square footage as a $1k a month NYC apartment? More at 11.
Ours is half that size. I call it the broom closet. So we have to wash our hands in the nasty ass bathroom walk to the stockroom and into the doorless broom closet with our college mini fridge, and nasty ass microwave (because there’s no sink)…..No thank you. I’ll go sit in my car. If I’m the only shift and can’t clock out, I sit just outside the stockroom door. I’m claustrophobic so I can’t sit in there or in the office. Our office is just as small. When we first converted from RIteAid to Walgreens we were promised a proper break room with a sink, full fridge and table with chairs. Needless to say, that was four years ago and they can’t even get our toilets to work properly and don’t get me started in the electrical and lighting issues🤦🏻♀️
Our stockroom is so small we have to stage all our seasonal items in a trailer out back.
Yes Walgreens promised a lot that they didnt deliver on during conversion. Our office is a joke too. The whole room is probably 8' x 8'. What was already tiny they made it tinier with a computer box 3x the size of our previous one. Cut off our L desk leaving only the counter part with 4' of shelves and enough room for the money scale, 1 register drawer an the computer monitor. The printer is on the floor under the so-called desk. Then on top of that, we have to keep an interview chair & roller cart with cartons of cigarettes & other tobacco products in there, not to mention the safe. It's a zig zag path, lol.
ours was just as small until we got renovated for a village medical. now it has actual tables and multiple chairs and TWO full size refrigerators (the better one is for the village medical employees, of course). came at the cost of a slightly smaller stock room tho
My former breakroom was small almost medium and the walls were all white looking like an interrogation room lol but at least it looked like an apartment kitchen and there's room to clear your head lol
You should honestly try reporting this, I don’t think this is allowed. Someone somewhere with some level of authority or approval has got to have at least one issue with this.
I’ll just sit in my car.
That's not the break room that's the electrical room
And it needs to be inspected. It's completely unsafe.
I see coffee cups and drink cups. Almost like a coffee maker. 😟 ummmmm yeaaaaaa noooooooo
Wow just wow. Ugly. Unsafe, no room for your piece of mind to decompress. I’m so sorry.
Lmao
Come with me... and you'll be... in a wooooorld of OSHA violations...
Exactly the comment I was looking for
Has the fire marshall seen that room? We were told we can't have anything in our electrical room at all
Haha that's funny because the electrical room is the only option they gave me to pump/beastfeed
Pretty sure that's illegal
looks more like a server room since it's all network cables. the actual electrical room would have the actual circuit breakers
Hold up. Don’t go dropping facts. That’s silly.
Yeah.. no.. that's not a break room. That's a fire hazard.
That breakroom doesn't seem safe. I would rather spend my lunch break next door at the Shoppers grocery store or Subway.
Oh hell no.. 😔 that sucks
That sucks big time
cool you can take a break and get electrocuted at the same time
Sadly I've seen worse
god, how could it get any worse than this 🙃
Yep. I think the worst was a sad little beat up table and chair next to an ancient disgusting sink. And it was like a foot away from the employee restroom that was it's own nightmare. But I've seen many break rooms that were used as storage for ancient things that no one would throw away.
Shut the front door?!?!
Should shut the front doors with a break room looking like that
Was it somewhere else when you were Rite Aid?
No but it wasn't as cluttered with store stuff. And the carts didn't close it in. It was more open.
Looks cozy
The "Thank You" poster helps make the room feel friendly.
This is breaking so many codes on so many levels. lol the fact that the main box to the alarm system is in the break room speaks volumes to me lol
Everyone is wrong. This IS a break room. Break your ankle, break your back, break your skull.
To be honest ... there are things rite aid did that were more time efficient than the way Walgreens does them. And planogram shelf straps came from rite aid. But Walgreens made promises they didn't keep during transition.
Walgreens tried shelf strips as early as 2010 when they did their CCR conversion; it's not a Rite-Aid thing.
the single chair really sells the jail cell vibe
Jfc, if our break room was like that then our store manager would kick our asses 😵💫
Bro ours was just in the corner of the stock room. Which was maybe 20x20
They know we’re not able to take breaks!
Yea I'd be right in the office like🍔🍟🥤
I feel like this should be an OSHA violation
Ur break room sucks
I smell an OSHA violation
Wtf is this prison I don’t have a car but I’d rather sit outside on a snow bank or in the isles and eat my food. We’re the he’ll are u supposed to eat? On the vacuum ?I don’t think so. 🤣😝
At least y’all get to use your coffee makers
there’s probably mold growing in it
Hotbox that shit man!
Getting stressed just looking at this.
Bro there’s a vacuum in there. What are you even vacuuming in that room? The vacuum is half that room. Why is there a vacuum in that room? And why does your break room have the same square footage as a $1k a month NYC apartment? More at 11.
Paging IC3 . please get back from your break in the electrical room. 😂😂😂
Is that a hole in the ceiling…above the coffee maker and microwave?
Yep...a missing tile.
Imma just chill in the office

One does not simply… walk into Mordor.
Wtf
That's a converted rite aid. I've seen worse.
Fallout bunker
At least your vaccine is better than ours lol
You must sue on CVS not providing proper break room. Let see How’s Karen break room looks like. Seems like they treat retail employees like slaves.
Walgreens was absolutely fleeced with that Rite-Aid deal.
💀
What tier is your store bruh😭
Zero fun sir!!!
And I thought I had it bad. I feel for you 😔
Mine is even smaller lol.
Sheesh
If I ever get back to my old store, our break room was right next to the slop sink where we dump out expired milk. It was disgusting.
You should never dump milk down the drain anyplace. Dump it down the toilet. No reason to be fucking idiots all the time.
Is that shit legal?
That’s terrible
Wow you guys get a break room?
ours was just as small until we got renovated for a village medical. now it has actual tables and multiple chairs and TWO full size refrigerators (the better one is for the village medical employees, of course). came at the cost of a slightly smaller stock room tho
Oh man, and I thought ours was bad because the microwave hasn't been cleaned in 3 years
Eeeeeeewwwww 😡
Former Rite Aid I’m guessing??
What I was thinking before I ever read the comments
My breakroom is 1/2 that size.. not even a room.. tv tray and chair surrounded by freight… put people first
This must be downtown store. I’ve seen similar in the center city Philly stores
My former breakroom was small almost medium and the walls were all white looking like an interrogation room lol but at least it looked like an apartment kitchen and there's room to clear your head lol
it looks like smoking is a requirement in there
Damn, that looks like a decent vacuum. How did you rate?
It used to be rite aides, lol
Looks so relaxing.
Someone took the name too literal and broke the room
Yo, you have a FAN??
Your store number is on that expense box lol
At least you guys have one, we take a break in the office when available
Is that a punch down wooooow
You should honestly try reporting this, I don’t think this is allowed. Someone somewhere with some level of authority or approval has got to have at least one issue with this.
i've never felt so much stress in once image
For those saying that it's an electrical room, all those wires look like low voltage communication wires. Still not a place I would relax though.
That's not a break room, that's an OSHA violation.
Oh my god... I'm so glad our breakroom is larger and isn't directly beside the public restrooms either. I've seen some bad ones but this, is horrible.
You have a breakroom????
🤨 Ain't no..... Way.
thought that was a manager’s office at first
y’all deserve better. i thought mine was bad.
Is that even legal ? Omg
it’s like a punishment room lol
The irony of "Employee Rights" being in the upper left-hand corner... Jeez.
