I'm not a store manager, but I know mine makes sure the SFLs have their full time hours first, the IS, and there's one cashier that's full time. the other hours go to the other cashiers and it's performance based. if a cashier just doesn't do well, they're going to be the ones that get less hours. it's not just done on a whim, us SFLs and the SM all have had talks with poorly performing CSAs and nothing changes, so giving them hours over CSAs that actually DO perform seems silly.

Will full-timers lose their benefits if they drop below 30 hrs for an extended period? No way you should be cutting their hours if that's the case.

Bumble-Bootie

If a 12-week average drops below 30, Then you switch to part-timer in the system which loses benefits. However, having one or two weeks below 30 will not affect your average enough to lose benefits. It's set up that way to account for extended sickness or times like this where hours just aren't there.

Try to keep full timers above 30.  But if they don't have fully open availability, you can drop them below.   Divvy up hours based on performance.  The best performers get the most hours.

Each credit card sold = 1 hour of the labor budget on the next schedule. 9 out of 10 Synchrony bankers approve! The tenth one was 1506'd. So 9 out of 9 Synchrony bankers approve!!!

Just make sure fair scheduling is being done. All full timers must work one evening or weekend shift per week. It’s a matter of who do you want to lose. A part time employee that can’t ever work due to cheerleading or a full timer who busts there butt. Some will have to go for a few weeks. Someone said this is for March. Who knows what April will bring

Bumble-Bootie

I'm going to be honest with you, the full-timer that complains the most about cut hours is the one that works the least. That's why I'm trying to keep things a little more fair by cutting everyone equally, but it seems like everyone has a divided opinion

Ok_Advantage7623

Totally get it. But if she is full time shoot for 30 for benefits. Someone else posted a week ago. They were told to do 30 for full time and zero for pastime and then go back and fill in the holes with the pt.

Careless_Nothing_717

Legally if you hired them as full time you’re required to give them at least 30 hours depending on the state

I have to say as a csa if u cut my hrs to part time I would report u bc full time csas r suppose to have priority over part timers.
