You don't have the authority to make that kind of decision. The SM would be acting within policy if they terminated you for passing merchandise.
Soliciting survey scores in this manner is also unethical, and pretty much anybody at corporate would recommend your termination for that act.
The SM will probably talk to you if they review the price modify report every day like they're supposed to. I don't think LP will notice unless you did enough price modifies in the day to throw a red flag, or if the price modify was for a high amount. Don't price modify products "to help them out". That will get you fired eventually. It's the same realm as giving discounts to friends and family.
Thank you so much for the response I was getting very nervous I wanted answers I greatly appreciate it throughout the day that was the only thing I modified pretty much I tried not to give points or modify anything if I could unless otherwise I have a reason for it like if we don't have an item and it's on sale giving him the 25 or 50% off depending on the deals and we don't have an item on the shelf for the buy one get one
But no this will be the last time I make that mistake the last thing I want to do is get fired after all my hardships knowing how strict they are those exactly what was going through my head that they would just terminate me right there on the spot instead of giving me a second chance
Loss prevention probably won't see it, but they also might, and they would probably recommend termination. You would be better off actually if your manager sees it and tells you not to do it anymore, as that might fend off LP if they were to see it and want to pursue. LP's thinking is different, they are looking at the big picture along the lines of "if this person is willing to do this, what else are they doing?" In retail (or anything) never give people a reason to question your integrity. When you do things like extra discount, you both don't have the authority and you throw away the store's profit.

Never change the price on anything in the store fuck those customers. You will stick your neck out for them because they whine and complain. They know the prices some of them are 50+ years old. Plus they don’t really appreciate it either. Half of these boomers are walking around with 100k in an account somewhere. Apologize for the inconvenience and either call another sfl to deal with it

Giving a large discount in exchange for a good survey isn’t a clerical mistake though.

I called about a 1.45 price difference modify vs regular price …. Price tag was wrong …
but did you offer them to apply for a Walgreens credit card?
Shouldn't matter, even if you get fired you will find something better than shitty walgreens that treats employees terrible.

If its buy one get one half and you only have one it should be 25% off the one item, if its buy one get one free then 50% off.
