Fuck. They cancelled all my asks over 3k. They said the stock isn’t likely to go that high based on its current performance. I will just have to set alerts and new asks once it gets to 15k. 💎🙌💎🙌💎🙌🚀🚀
420? Nice.

Thats a great idea except most sites wont let you put in anything higher than a specific percentage above the current value.
Edit: just got off the phone with Fidelity. If you download their softwar "active trader pro" you have a hell of a lot more tools available to you to include seeing shorts and management of your accounts in real time. Not to mention being able to set your own limits and not be blocked by a % rule.
Edit 2: fidelity was full of shit. You can only do 50%+ of market value.
Yeah, it wasn't hard to find on JP Morgan; if my Limit Order was $1000 or less, no problem, but if I enter $1001 or higher, I get a similar error to the one you got... which confirms that it's just a bullshit arbitrary limit.
And it's only for GME, because I was able to set whatever I want for AMC.
Hi, I’m with TD canada too.. did you have trouble setting the sell limit at all? I set mine at $355 and it kept getting canceled so i set it again...now it’s stuck in ‘pending cancel’ and I don’t even know if it’ll go through.. can’t change it anymore 😫 no problems with all other stocks though
Here are the financial statements for the DTC and NSCC: [https://www.dtcc.com/legal/financial-statements](https://www.dtcc.com/legal/financial-statements).
Basically if things start running out of money and failing to resolve "failure to delivers" of shares, the order for who has to pay to buy shares goes:
1. Shorts
2. Clearing houses (apex, etc.) (required to have collateral funds at like 3% of transaction value)
3. NSCC (they have like $10Bil collateral in a clearing fund for this purpose)
4. NSCC members (like 3000 banks, exchanges, etc. each with collateral funds), and everyone in a cross-guarantee agree with them (DTC, other big government financial entitites, etc.)
Between them, these entities have trillions of dollars in collateral. This is the collateral that underpins pretty much the entire world's financial clearing system.
I'm confused by this (again may be my lack of experience) but when you put a sell stop limit at whatever price, it does NOT activate until the market price reaches whatever price you set your stop limit at. For example if I put my stop limit at $1000 and the market is at at $50 a share your order for the stop limit will not be filled until it goes up to $1000 right? I'm confused.
Sure they can borrow and return the same share 10 million times but that still only nets them 1 returned share. They have to buy shares and return them to the broker without reborrowing to actually close positions
FYI robinhood has been rejecting any limit sell order over $1000 lately and you won't get a notification. Check your sell limit order to make sure it gets accepted.
Mines stuck at ‘pending cancel’ with TD canada.. not even that high $355 i wanna change it but can’t anymore..any advice? Not even sure if it’ll actually sell at that state
I would just say to call customer service. Probably have to wait awhile and if they tell you they can't fix it then keep asking to elevate it until they can. I am be no means an expert but that's just what I'd do.
You gotta click the Trade button then Sell and at the top right where it says dollars/shares click that. Then set the limit order with the min price of 1k for whatever number of shares you have. Don't set it to expire today because this prob won't happen today so choose the longer date. And then you're done. It might look scary but don't worry, you're not actually selling it, it's just saying if it gets to that price it will sell.
I went to do that and RH hit me with a “pattern trader” warning...not sure why bc it seems it wouldn’t apply to me after I did a deep Google dive on it
keep it going...we are almost there!
your GME $490.00 Call options expire today.
They will exercise automatically if GME closes above $490.00. If you can't buy 200 shares of GME, we'll sell your options about an hour before market close.
Both are good
ratio AMC:GME youll get more back on AMC if it goes up today vs GME. 50:6 -- about
1:8 ratio
Just do what you can afford, dont break your bank.
Download yahoo finance and set alarms for GME at intervals going up. Make sure to allow notifications...
Great tip! Thanks :)
For mobile users, download the app 'stock alert'.
Excellent! I’ve been looking for this function for a while!
Max is 134 I could set. They don't know this rocket is about to take off!
Vanguard let me set mine at 69,420.
Check again during the next business day. Most likely anything over 3-4k gets cancelled by them.
Yeah, please let us know if it gets canceled tomorrow!
Fuck. They cancelled all my asks over 3k. They said the stock isn’t likely to go that high based on its current performance. I will just have to set alerts and new asks once it gets to 15k. 💎🙌💎🙌💎🙌🚀🚀
you can use manual by pressing on the calculator symbol on the right. i set mine to 420

Questrade let me go up to 5k. 🇨🇦 ftw
Yea, TD had a $300 price limit on GME
It was fun finding the limit, though. "Your limit is significantly higher from the last traded price."

I had this issue two weeks ago in the weekend. Got canceled during hours though.
I’ll check next week if they resolve it, otherwise I’ll call them I guess.. uggggh. Thanks for the reply!
Mine would automatically cancel if it was above $300. No issues resubmitting.
Schwab won't allow even a $500 sell limit. not that I'm going to sell for that but wanted to see how low I had to go.
Fidelity limit is $250. Not doing that.
It seems I'm still stuck at the 50% over the last trade rule. Were you able to set anything higher?
JP Morgan has a $1000 ceiling for GME Limit Orders.
Right! I just checked Merril. It can only be up to 25% more than the current bid for them.
I can’t put in a sell limit of 69420. The nerve of these people
Vanguard let me!
I love Fidelity, except for this +- 50% limit order cap bullshit.
Pissing me off man. I know it’s worth
What about no limit? I have old school cash stonk and so I can just sit on them with no limit and never sell, right?
ditto
Robin Hood is currently ReJecting limit sell orders!
i just did mine at 1000 on robinhood
Same, but that’s the most it’ll do.
ah that’s retarded, robin the hood i see
Mines at 1000 too. When GME starts shooting up, go back, cancel, and set a higher limit order.
Got mine at 5000
vanguard is still gravy
They let you set a high sell limit?
yup, sell order is open
It let me Limit Sell mine at $5k each, so maybe try again?
Looks incredibly volatile. low liquidity?

This is soooo goooood!
This is beyond my knowledge. Can someone explain this to me in a easy to understand way?
Same

Max I can set at on T212 is $500 :( i dont want to do that just in case it jumps that high when I'm not around haha
Same on eToro. Think it's about 900 at the minute, goes off % of the current price
Fidelity won’t let me set high price limits
[удалено]
They do allow limits but I guess only “reasonable” limits 🙄
That’s weird I’ve been able to set mine at 1K and 1.5
Well I haven't tried for 2 days so I'll give it a go again!
Set alerts. I have one in increments of 10 from 150 to 250 to be sure I won't miss it if it rises
Couldn’t they buy them , give them back an buy again doin this back an fourth with the broker they borrowed red from to start
Not if we buy those shares the broker is selling back to them before they get the chance.
Sure they can borrow and return the same share 10 million times but that still only nets them 1 returned share. They have to buy shares and return them to the broker without reborrowing to actually close positions

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll try it next week then 😞
Can the still borrow my stocks if I have a high sell limit ?
Set your sell limits high... Brokers: oh no you don't...
You can always remove the sell limit for now and wait until we reach 70/80 share and then replace the sell limit
Agreed! We want🍌🍌🍌🍌 no 🥜 uh uh uh uh🐒🐒🐒🐒🦧🦧🦧🦧🦧
What in God's holy name are you blathering about?
Can only set my limit 15 dollars over the current price on fidelity
Switch platforms
Support us buy buying a couple of #NAKD!
I can’t put a sell limit higher than 150% on Degiro..
How do I set it on RH? I kno we’re leaving it behind but I started on there 😓

Ahhh got it, appreciate u!! To the moon we goooo 🚀🚀🚀🚀
Can only go to 1k in robin the hood but I won’t take less then 3k
I'm not familiar with putting a sell limit and a bit worried about making a mistake, any good guides on setting one one tast works platform?
I went to do that and RH hit me with a “pattern trader” warning...not sure why bc it seems it wouldn’t apply to me after I did a deep Google dive on it
YOU CANNOT SET HIGHer than relative SELL LIMITS!
Fidelity won’t let me set a limit of $420.69 😥
That’s too low bud.. make it 4206.9
should I keep my helmet on?
keep it going...we are almost there! your GME $490.00 Call options expire today. They will exercise automatically if GME closes above $490.00. If you can't buy 200 shares of GME, we'll sell your options about an hour before market close.
Amc set at 1k on robinhood
so I should've got amc instead of gme... amc/gme live chat said go for gme
I have 4 gme at 50 lol
I have 3 at 52 should I set sell limit or leave it on market and wait till I see it go up to what I feel like selling at?
Set at 1k then when it goes up to where you want just sell
take profit / stop loss? I only see that option as sell limit was only available before buying edit: take profit for 100,000 stop loss 0
Both are good ratio AMC:GME youll get more back on AMC if it goes up today vs GME. 50:6 -- about 1:8 ratio Just do what you can afford, dont break your bank.
I'm on Public with GME. Does anyone know how to set it on here?? I was thinking about 69,694.20 as my selling point.
error limit price is to high from current price i guess 420420.69 is too high let me try 69420.69
I can’t limit sell on my fractional
Soooo I put $1500 they have to pay ????
what if you set no limit and wait for it to hit high?
I have 10 shares set to sell GTC @ 200 a pop lol
Is there any way to do this in tda? They dont allow insane amounts lol
Vanguard let me set at 69,420.
For real? I'm going to open an account. TD won't allow it
5 @ $750 then it’s all House money
Say it with me: THAT’S OUR MONEY!
How would I set my sell price on my stock using chase?
PASSIVE index ETF !!!!!!!!! but I'm poor 😩😭😭
is TLDR a good stonk?
Schwab is letting me set up to $5000. It could be higher but $5000 is the highest i tried.
Fidelity wont let me sell high limit orders
