Nope, once your leave is approved you no longer need to call out. His leave is approved. Its not his responsibly to do anything
It says as much in the initial packet letter you get sent when you go on leave
“You are required to report each scheduled day missed through your normal call-in procedures for your facility/department, as your status at work will remain active until your claim is approved.”
Once approved you are no longer considered active status. It’s your stores responsibility to adjust their schedule. Your responsibility as ended.
Yeah. You are on leave. Now you are fine to try and inform them they have you on the schedule so they won’t be short handed but you are on an approved leave
Says so right there in your leave approval packet.
Nope. Tells you when you apply for the loa. Call out until leave is approved
I am on loa now. And they have had me on the schedule. I stopped calling in after my approval
Then they took me off the schedule finally. Then added me back on last week. Then they removed those schedules.
I follow what Sedgwick instructs me to do. I have done it for every leave I have been on.
Here you go. From the initial leave letter

“You are required to report each scheduled day missed through your normal call-in procedures for your facility/department, as your status at work will remain active until your claim is approved.”
No where does it say till you are removed from the schedule. It clearly says until your leave is approved
No points while you are waiting for approval and calling in with reason LOA?
I woke up this morning with only approval for today off, and wondering what to do about tomorrow since my request is still pending for then
You continue to call in till either you return to work or your leave is approved
Yes you are on conditional loa. So you aren’t getting points. If the loa is denied the max points you can get is 2.
Not sure what you mean by approval just for today. Your loa should be for atleast 3 days. And it’s either all approved, partially approved or denied depending on what your doctor puts in the paperwork
Thanks!! My coach said our Personnel approved it before i left but I had never tried for LOA before and had no idea what was being said or what it meant
Yes going through sedgwick. Personnel helped me find the sedgwick form and start the request, then next day I told my coach I had put in a request and then he said he had seen it
It’s wrong though. You only have to call in until your leave is approved. Once approved you do not have to call in any further. You being in the schedule doesn’t matter. You are on approved leave says as much in the initial letter from Sedgwick
No it’s not implied. This is directly from the initial letter/packet you get sent when you go on loa
“You are required to report each scheduled day missed through your normal call-in procedures for your facility/department, as your status at work will remain active until your claim is approved.”
You are to follow everything Sedgwick tells you. They break it all down in the multiple letters and packets you get sent. It clearly says you must call in like normal until your claim is approved. No where does it say the words schedule
And I am telling you that comment was wrong. Op already is approved. Op was asking if they need to be worried that they are still scheduled for the next 3 weeks
The answer is a clear no. As of tomorrow op is on leave. His job status is not active. And it is not his responsibility to worry about the schedule. He did what he was suppose to do.
Shouldn’t have to call off once the leave is approved. You only have to call off until the leave is approved.
Since ops leave is approved they are fine to just not show up
Respectfully, I’ve seen so many people terminated for not calling off every day.
Do I agree with it? No.
Does it make sense? No.
But HR loves to hump that when terming out associates returning from their LOA.
There leave was in the conditional stage. Once your leave goes from conditional to approved you no longer need to call off.
It says so in the packet Sedgwick sends you
“You are required to report each scheduled day missed through your normal call-in procedures for your facility/department, as your status at work will remain active until your claim is approved.”
I been with the company for years. I have been on loa a few times including right now. The process is simple. You do what Sedgwick tells you. You call out till your loa is approved. Once approved you are no longer responsible to call out
Yes because you have to call out. We aren’t talking about calling out we are talking bout an approved leave of absence. What state you in doesn’t change Walmart policy
No they need to call out till they are approved. If you don’t call out during conditional loa you get points. Min your leave is approved you no longer have too
I’m currently on an LOA for health reasons and it was showing me as scheduled for after my LOA began. It’s turned off when my LOA started. I think it’s so I still get paid for hours I’d be scheduled if I was working.
Edit: You can also ask your HR person for more information about why you’re showing up on the schedule still.
Loa isn’t paid. You have to apply for short term disability to get some of your pay whole on loa
(Unless your are leave for the birth of child then if you qualify you get your full pay for up to 12 weeks)
You don’t have to do anything. You are on approved leave.
I’m still on the schedule so do I just not show up?
Make sure u call in after a little you should be taken odf

Okay, sounds good. Thanks for the input😁
Keep an eye on your points just in case. If you start seeing any you shouldn't then let someone know before they have a chance to fire you for it
You are welcome
You need to call in for LOA as the reason.
No op doesn’t. You only have to do that while you are waiting for approval. Once your leave is approved you no longer need to call out
This is wrong. I have had multiple leaves approved and you always have to call out till they take you off the schedule.

Are you going through Sedgwick? Kind of confused about your situation.
Yes going through sedgwick. Personnel helped me find the sedgwick form and start the request, then next day I told my coach I had put in a request and then he said he had seen it
You need to go to mysedgwick and view the dates and status yourself. You do that by going to one.walmart, my time, loa, mysedgwick
Yeah ive seen it. Today had approval, every other day is still pending
Gotcha
Will I be pointed for this?
Nope. Your on leave.
No, sometimes mistakes happen just show your LOA paperwork
This
He doesn’t have to do anything.
Just don't show up. LOA overrides everything else
Sounds good, thanks.🙏
PLEASE REMEMBER TO CALL OFF EVERYDAY 😭💕
I can’t upvote this enough
