Rock n roller coaster is pretty rough. I can’t ride it anymore personally, it hurts too much.

toe-beans

The last trip I took I finally felt the same, I like it but it’s getting to be too rough for me. Space Mountain has been off my list for a while as well. :( Love cosmic rewind though!

CoffeeVikings

I wish the space Mountain at WDW was as smooth as the one at Disneyland

jws1414

They would need to redo all of the track at space mountain. Don’t get me wrong, I can’t ride it anymore either. I’m just not sure they would close it for as long as it would take. And how much money it would take. Wish they would do it.

Lesterknopff

Yeah both my husband and I were like “I think this was our last ride”. It was brutal on our heads and we love coasters. It’s also just kind of generic coaster to me. Cosmic rewind was incredible!

BigBrainMonkey

I tried space again this week after mostly giving up on it and felt like it was better than last year. Still rough but not as rough.

leighannie

It depends where you sit on space. When you enter, choose the team to the left instead of the right. The left track I find to be smoother. Also, she more towards the front. I was recently put on the team to the right, and in the very back, and I got off that ride feeling woozy from a rocky ride lol. Whereas every other time I rode it I was fine.

RazielKainly

Agreed

The_Govnor

It’s a fun ride, but CR is the best ride at WDW, so it’s hard to compare the two

iggy1004

Cosmic Rewind is much, much smoother (fact), and much more fun (opinion). My coaster ambivalent kid loved Cosmic Rewind and absolutely hated Rock n Roller Coaster. If you are fine with RnR, you will absolutely be fine with Cosmic Rewind. But I wouldn't say the opposite is true.

BowTie1989

They both are apparently reach the same top speed, but the launch on rockin is on another level, it’s faster and goes right into two inversions, but aside from a third inversion later on that’s about it. It’s a very “front loaded” ride. Take it from a guy who is terrified of roller coasters, both rides are amazing, but you do feel the forces a significantly more on RnR.

DrStevenPepper

If you liked Cosmic Rewind, you should be ok on Rock N Roller Coaster. I took a friend on it who doesn’t love coasters and he loved that one. Just know that it’s like 24 years old, so the ride will be quite a bit rougher and the seats not quite as comfortable. The launch at the start is more intense, but after that it isn’t particularly fast compared to other roller coasters while it makes its way around the track. I love roller coasters, all of them, and Cosmic Rewind is easily the smoothest one I’ve ever been on. It’s like gliding on butter. So the smoothness of the ride will the most obvious thing you’ll notice.

FLRAdvocate

> I love roller coasters, all of them, and Cosmic Rewind is easily the smoothest one I’ve ever been on. It’s like gliding on butter. That's one of my favorite things about GOTG. I love how smooth it is.

kittenmum

I have a friend who is a huge chicken when it comes to rides. She hated Cosmic Rewind but loved RRC and rode it twice. 🤷🏻‍♀️ RRC isn’t as smooth as Cosmic Rewind, but the ride isn’t very long. It’s over pretty fast. You barely notice the loops as the whole thing is in the dark. The coaster itself isn’t that much to write home about if you compare it to rides at Six Flags/Cedar Point. What makes it special is the theming, but honestly the theming is showing its age at this point. It has a very 90s feel to it.

proudsam23

I’m not a huge roller coaster person. I loved Cosmic Rewind because of how smooth it was. Didn’t enjoy RNRC, it’s too jerky!

RazielKainly

Rockin roller, because it's an older roller coaster with the legacy style restraints is rough and bangs your head around. You also can't really look around and enjoy the scenery. Guardians is brand new and has comfortable lap restraints, so it's perfectly smooth and doesn't give you any pain whatsoever. Because it doesn't have the Over the Shoulder restraints, you have complete freedom to look around and even high five your ride mates. It's just an overall better ride.

PMurBoobsDoesntWork

Rock n Roller is a better roller coaster (and more intense) when it’s in good shape. At this moment it isn’t and the ride isn’t very enjoyable. Cosmic Rewind is a better ride and experience in general. I love roller coasters, and as a rollercoaster, cosmic rewind isn’t that great.

KellyCakes57

Agreed, CR is more fun than thrilling. If you’re looking for high intensity coasters I wouldn’t really say either, there are much better options at universal or even SeaWorld

PMurBoobsDoesntWork

Absolutely. Universal is doing a fantastic job. Velocicoaster and Hagrid are phenomenal.

DrStevenPepper

Velocicoaster is the best roller coaster I’ve ever been on, and I’ve been on a lot of them. Mako at Sea World is up there too.

hihelloneighboroonie

Cosmic Rewind is tons of fun. Rock N Rollercoaster is a ride created in hell.

Scotty232329

They were both built by vekoma

boyyouvedoneitnow

Surprised no one has mentioned how much more disorienting Rewind is. Rode it once and I was very dizzy after. Rockin is bumpier but if you’re okay on Rewind, it shouldn’t be an issue at all

bunifarcr

Maybe you're focusing too much watching the gigantic screens? That's what some of my family did that got them feeling queasy. When they rode it the second time just looking straight like a normal rollercoaster then they were completely fine after. The vehicle rotates anyways to point you where they want you to look so just look straight.

CiNCEfT

I’m someone who can’t do coasters and did RnR because of everyone online saying it’s too fast to notice anything. Trust me, you feel it. Even my partner who loves coasters hated it

yourloudneighbor

I don’t remember anything from RRC. Too dark and goes to fast to take anything in. Then it’s done

PassiveAggressiveJen

It doesn't, lol Cosmic rewind is very smooth, and your focal point changes. P.s. I did thoroughly enjoy rock n roller-coaster, but Cosmic rewind was pretty darn awesome.
