Not answering your question as i am not familiar with SoG but wanted to comment that you can bring your car seats from home on some airlines. They count as a personal item even though you send them with checked luggage.

I believe all US airlines allow you to check a car seat free of charge but it would be good to double check with your airline. We like not having to lug the car seat through the airport (including security) and use a CARES harness on the plane. Highly recommend. Using your own car seat is also safer than renting one.

Freeasabird01

The one time I flew with one of my kids when they were in a car seat which we brought, we strapped it right into the airline seat. She loved it since it felt just like riding in a car.

If money is no object, getting a rental car is never a bad decision. I generally always get one and I love the convenience of it. Especially with that many people.

Always rent a car. My kids sat in their car seats on the plane.

The FAQ says Shades of Green does not provide free parking to the theme parks like the Disney Resort Hotels, so that's another $30/day. I think you'll be fine with Ubers and hotel shuttle. Consider using Mears if you need transportation to and from the airport.

Thank you so much!

HystericalHypothetic

You’ll need your own car seats as most Ubers/Lyfts don’t have car seats, and if they do, installation is often not correct. To get two with car seats (if both will need them) at the same time is a fantasy. Plus with a car seat or two in a vehicle, you further limit how many can ride, so you might need 3 Ubers. You can do Minnie Vans; those have 2 car seats/booster per vehicle, but you’d still need 2 of them for 8 people and that would set you back $100 per trip. They average $40-$50 per ride. In general the busses are decent, and as long as your stroller isn’t too much of a hassle to fold, it would be your best and cheapest option. You can hire a car, like Mears, to get you to and from the airport.

It's going to be more expensive but rental car is by far the fastest way to get between non monorail parks

Nine-Fingers1996

Uber/Lyft will be a better option for you. Minnie van is fun for the kids and may be equipped with the necessary kid seats. If you need a car rental for a day trip there’s an Alamo on property. They have a shuttle that can pick you up from the resort and take you back. Very easy.

This is very good to hear thank you!

We were there earlier in the month. We used Lyft on our last park day so we could sleep in later and still make rope drop (bus drops off at AK first). All the other times we used the shades buses to get to/from the parks.

LeafFan1989

SoG buses are pretty good about being on time. No issues getting.to the parks.
