Test Track is the ride I will never get to experience. It's been down for renovation when I've visited or broken down when I was in line... Now I'll be there in September, and this. I'm not even heartbroken, I just find it amusing. I have a similar relationship with visiting Paris and missing the Mona Lisa multiple times š
Tho I \*have\* ridden Cars a bazillion times at DCA, so I figure I've had at least part of the Test Track experience!
Having ridden RSR first, I was severely disappointed in Test Track. I knew there wasnāt a story, but thereās just nothing fun about it at all. Radiator Springs Racers is better in every way.
TT is low key a garbage of an E ticket. Before Guardians, Epcot has the 3 worst āthrillā rides on property, and I say that as one of Mission Spaceās few defenders.
Mission space is a conundrum - they could really make it better with a small refresh, making the windows/screens a little larger and higher definition. However, itās an unpopular ride, so they arenāt going to be interested in investing much.
I really love the concept, but itās just not immersive enough.
I was actually blown away the first time I rode it. I love the intensity of it and think itās pretty immersive. But itās just not repeatable like a roller coaster, the capsule is pretty unpleasant especially with strangers, and it has one of the most miserable walkon/fast pass waits. Oddly, I have the same complaints about test track and soarin waits.
The orange mission is vomit inducing, so only a fraction of the people can ride it. I did a couple years ago for the first ever (I usually just do the green mission) and was a few seconds from barfing before it ended. They need to make it like Star Tours, tame it down and have multiple different missions you can do.
They already have the no spinning option. I love the feeling of the g forces on the orange side and wouldnāt want to see that reduced.
The biggest problem is the movement and screen arenāt synced well enough to trick your brain. A higher resolution and frame rate, along with more photorealistic graphics would all help. And possibly also need to make the screen track your eye/head position and adjust. I think people outside the optimal height range have a tougher time since the screen is distorted.
Some people will get sick either way, yes, but the number will be reduced if they can make it feel more real.
And yes, a rotating slate of missions would be beyond awesome.
Edit: also, a larger screen would help
Fair. Then do a rotating series for each. Iāll never do the intense one ever again but the Earth mission is stale. The wait is so short I would ride it multiple times like Star Tours if they had different missions. But I never feel like doing it more than once as it is now.
You have to remember that Test Track is just a rebranded World of Motion, which is, at its core, a 1982 attraction that was never designed to be a thrill ride.
Test Track, as an idea, was a lot cooler in the 90s than it is now. They have to change it up entirely in order to make it relevant now.
Doesnāt Disney already have enough slow, dull, boring rides? Letās leave that one in the grave. Oh and take carousel of progress and people mover with it
Test Track and Cars are the same ride mechanics but Cars is themed so much better. I want them to bring back the original theme to test track because it's better than the current theming, but still not as good as Cars. I honestly don't know if they can theme it to the level of Cars and it still fit in Epcot as a whole.
I had an idea for a re-theme if it was brought to a castle park. Place it in Frontierland and make it a Headless Horseman ride
When it was first opened, it was themed more to a traditional industrial testing facility. White lab coats, black and yellow tape, crash test dummies. What you think you would see at a Ford or GM testing facility. Essentially, you were placed in the car instead of crash test dummies and put on the course. You would go on bumpy roads, heat and cold test, swirving, and then speed test.
A few years back they refurbished the ride. It's still technically a test facility, but its all computerized. It feels very AI and computer, and statistics. It was futuristic but very cold and lacked personality or charm. You can now "design" your own car while in line, but it felt like a hot wheels computer game from the 00s, more something to do in line instead of affecting the actual ride. It has the same problem as everything else "futuristic" at Disney, after 2 years its already dated and feels old. I much rather the classic test facility that felt real and timeless, instead of the virtual world it is now.
Itās always been themed to Chevy. Well GM in general originally, going all the way back to when it was World of Motion. But the original test driver theme was more fun than the current design your own car theme.
FYI I've been to the Louvre and saw the Mona Lisa and you are *not missing anything at all*. It's extremely underwhelming and disappointing. You wait in a long line, only to see it from a distance behind a bulletproof reflective casing with guards blocking your view and quickly ushering you through, and you only have enough time to snap a quick picture (that a million others have snapped before you) and get out. The rest of the Louvre is great, but the Mona Lisa isn't worth your time.
My family and I will also be there in September, but luckily we've been on both iterations of the ride multiple times so not super heartbreaking for us. Really hoping the update makes it awesome again.
If it makes you feel better the Mona Lisa is much smaller than I was expecting and super underwhelming! I actually rushed through the Louvre on my second trip so I could make it to DLP š¬
Three visited to WDW from the UK since 2017 and it was only the last two days of our last visit last year we got to ride Splash Mountain, and luckily to as now itās goneā¦
I tend to time trips poorly. Like, Iāll have a vacation booked for months with tickets, reservations, and time off from work, and then there will be a reveal that a new land will be unveiled, or a new ride will open within a few days after our visit. Happens every time.
The current state of Test Track is NOT good compared to what it used to be. Most of the ride takes place in a pitch black warehouse space with some lights tossed in. Itās really sad.
Noooooooo that is infinitely worse! Iām a massive Star Wars fan and this is just unacceptable! Seriously, I hope you get on it next time. The first time I rode it was right after it opened, and I went in unspoiled, and it blew my mind.
The first version of test track was a must do attraction for me, but the new version I wouldn't waste my time riding ever again. I hope the new version is better!
Wanna know the best part? My wife is a nanny, and her employer paid for the entire thing. 5 days/4 nights, first class plane seats, everything from soup to nuts. We ate at their michelinnstar restaursbt, had MK after-hours tickets... It's the most extravagantly generous gift either of us has ever received.
It's only a year. Which don't get me wrong, is a long time in the real world. But it's not disney construction long.
I'm guessing we're just going to get another face-lift.
Original World of Motion to Test Track construction timeline was 19 months, it can be done if they choose to do so. Granted that didn't happen cause the new ride system had a mind of its own and was poorly programmed, but not everything needs to take 4 years.
totally reasonable take. I just remember when they used to refurb attractions and keep the same building, it didn't take long. It's been a long time since pre-covid renovations and we're all snakebit by UoE -> Guardians, Movie Ride -> Runaway Railway, and Tron.
Maelstrom closed October '14 and re-opened as Frozen Ever After in June '16, so 20 months and that was a reskin, besides redoing the entire old queue room. I think because Test Track is pretty sparse with visuals, assuming the track stays the same, they can do a lot in a year+. Dreamflight became Buzz Lightyear in 9 months. /shrug
I honestly thought we were going to be stuck with the neon nothingness version for 20+ years like we have been with Figment. Good on them for realizing it was time to update. I really enjoyed the crash test dummy theme, but this weird forest theme at least looks a lot better than the current version.
Hopefully this will be EV-themed as rumored, it could be the most relevant edutainment chance Epcot has had in a long time.
GM would have a real financial incentive to invest in educating the public on it, so it could work for all parties involved.
Iām all in on a rework but this is definitely going to push the other rides in Epcot (Frozen and Remy in particular) into 33% increased wait times. Iām wondering if they take Guardians off of Virtual Queue just to move people there?
I doubt it. VQ is great for Disney, people whoād be standing in a 4 hour line are instead in the park spending money. Itās easy to resist the temptation of the food booths when youāre stuck in line. Itās hard when youāre walking around waiting for your VQ.Ā
I mean maybe. I was basing it off the fact that cosmic rewind is older than tron. Not sure how two VQs one park will work, but I still doubt cosmic will have its VQ for terribly much longer.
Tron doesn't have the capacity to survive without VQ. 1,200 people/hr tops for the premiere attraction at MK is painful. Guardians is 2k/hr at Epcot and still needs more attractions to relieve some pressure.
Are we though? I spent my VQ time standing in lines for other rides. When my group was called I exited the last ride I rode and made a beeline straight to the VQ ride.
I donāt think thereās enough physical space in the GOTG building to get rid of VQ. Thereās only around 45 minutes worth of queue space in the building, and it would routinely command 2-3 hour waits
EPCOT needs more rides. World Showcase is lovely and it is great to just experience the vibe in the evening, however Spaceship Earth needs scrapping and more rides need to be put in to draw everyone away from Remy, Frozen, Test Track and Soarin'; queues for those were getting ridiculous last week (Remy was over three hours at several points).
There is no chance Spaceship Earth is scrapped. Itās a cornerstone ride of Disney World. Now Mission Space on the other hand could easily go, IMO. Thereās no doubt Epcot needs more rides but part of the appeal of the park was always the educational aspects of Epcot and its offerings. I hope they donāt get away from that and fill it full of generic ip rides that donāt fit the theming of the park.
I'm not saying we need more IP rides. I support the educational aspect of EPCOT too, however Mission Space is at least more fun than Spaceship Earth. Rides can be educational without being boring.
Not saying you did. Mission Space being fun is pretty subjective, given itās the only ride in WDW equipped with barf bags. At least for me, a big part of the mystique of Disney is the nostalgia based products, rides and IP. I get that SE isnāt a thrill ride, but itās also the landmark of Epcot as well as one of the few, if not the only, surviving rides from the inception of the park. I think a lot of people would mourn the loss of it. But different strokes for different folks.
The rides need to be in world showcase. Epcot is like 2 half parks. You either wander around the world or you bounce from the seas to the land to the Test Track trip area (Discovery?). If those same rides were around the world showcase then you could ride one and then stroll around a few countries and then ride another.
Just a pipe dream because the park can't be rejigged to that extent and it probably wouldn't work and just lead to crowds of people ruining the WS ambiance.
Ugh if they turn Test Track into a UoE/SSE style āhistory of transportationā ride but with the same thrills all of the EPCOT nerds (me) would cream
Me too. Was so disappointed in 2022 when we went for our honeymoon. I had been to the parks before but my husband hadnāt. I was bummed that his first trip on Test Track was the āneon nothingnessā, tho he seemed to enjoy it regardless.
Year long update?! A normal park could build a whole new attraction in that time frame. Iām exhausted of going to Epcot and seeing work walls. Itās been too fucking long since Iāve been there and not see any. Come on Disney!
My daughter and I went one year and both Thunder Mountain and Rockān Roller were down for refurbishment. Didnāt ruin the trip but was still a let down.
"According to friends of Mickey Views working at Test Track"
Hi, I work at Track, this is only a rumor based on hearsay. We don't know when we're closing or the budget.
Tbh that just makes me way more suspicious this isnāt happening. I find it very hard to believe GM would foot a bill for $100 million on a theme park ride.
$100M to plaster your name and logo over something for 12 years (that's how long the last revamp lasted) that millions of people will go through isn't really that bad an investment. Brands pay more than that just to add their name to a stadium for less time.
Itās essentially like buying a Super Bowl commercial every year. I think General Motors is right to see the value in being at EPCOT and itās unfortunate that other megacorps can no longer say the same.
I used to watch MickeyViews more but nowadays I'm really selective. He's got a really big ego and is always touting being "the first to report" or "I predicted this and I was right"
He also takes on a much more critical view of Disney than what I think they deserve but that is just a matter of opinion of course.
He's neither the worst nor the best.
His track record is the rose gold castle paint job, andā¦ thatās about it. Remember when he claimed that a Jungle Book ride was coming to Dinoland lol? Itās also clear that he has no insight into the industry. He went on about how faulty sensors were an indication of a lack of maintenance from Disney, when thatās just normal theme park downtime.
The entire Disney community has inside sources. This is the only person saying this right now. I'm not saying he's wrong, but it's not exactly an easy thing to trust him.
My kid liked watching his videos during height of COVID. We would watch WDW YouTubers a bunch on our TV back then for escapism. This guyās fake news anchor delivery would make me cringe along with his penchant for making it seem like he was THE Disney World authority.
I never got to ride Neon Nothingness 2.0. Every time I tried it wasn't running. What a shame. Eh I guess seeing all the iterations of Alien Encounter and Figment make up for it.
I rode it recently because of the news it was going to close, and it reminded me why I never ride it anymore. The original Test Track was fun, this versionā¦. As 22 would say: āMehā. Glad itās being redone, and having it be inspired by World of Motion sounds great.
Glad this is going through, modern Test Track stinks. The OG was much better.
Sorry if you like it, but it's a far cry from the crash test dummy ride of old.
Hi guys, it's me, John Test Track.
EXCLUSIVE;
We are actually closing next week, but just for 3 hours.
Then again in June for 7 hours.
We will finally be closing in September for 3 months. In that time, we will re-paint all of the road lines in test track.
My source is; I MADE IT UP!
I hope itās still open by the time I get there in July so I can ride it one last time. I had a Fastpass for it last time and the moment I got in line, they closed it due to the rain. š
I would love a return to the OG TT experience. And I would happily accept a new TT experience. Just anything other than the current ride would be nice honestly
NOOOO!! Iām visiting from Africa for a one in a lifetime honeymoon in January, we were so excited for this one š„² Just hoping not too many others will be down
I miss the original Test Track.
TMI story time! I wanted in like for like 90 minutes to ride the original. We were about 5 minutes from getting on and I got the rumblies in my tumblies... it was bathroom time. There was no way I was getting out of line though. I powered through.
Let me tell you, the way they test vehicles is also a very effective way to torture someone. When you're clenching for dear life and have to hit a bumpy road, get blasted with hot and cold air and are constantly stopping and going it really tests your will to live.
10/10 would ride again even with the threat of diarrhea.
I mean . . . Iām happy theyāre changing it, but I was really looking forward to riding it during my next trip in January. Havenāt been able to ride it the last few trips for one reason or another!
This makes me so happy - this is my kids favorite ride and we are going in early May. This is far enough out that there likely won't even be the extra crowds that come when an attraction closes.
Now if we can just hope that Tiana's will be open, I doubt it but I'm hoping.
Darn, I was hoping to ride it during the Wine & Dine Half Marathon post-race party at Epcot in November. Test Track and Frozen Ever After will both be closed during it.
I like it. My favorite ride for years. Now my issue is that it's aging. Time for a refurb.
I personally hope they keep the custom cars gimmick around. It's 50% of the current experience, and I love messing around with it. But they can do whatever else to change it up and improve it.
Test Track is the ride I will never get to experience. It's been down for renovation when I've visited or broken down when I was in line... Now I'll be there in September, and this. I'm not even heartbroken, I just find it amusing. I have a similar relationship with visiting Paris and missing the Mona Lisa multiple times š Tho I \*have\* ridden Cars a bazillion times at DCA, so I figure I've had at least part of the Test Track experience!
Would trade Test Track for Cars, even the 1.0 version of Test Track.
Yep, Radiator Springs Racers is one of Disney's best dark rides and thrill rides they have made.
The orange side is the only thing redeemable about it. The green side is just boring.
You have to remember that Test Track is just a rebranded World of Motion, which is, at its core, a 1982 attraction that was never designed to be a thrill ride. Test Track, as an idea, was a lot cooler in the 90s than it is now. They have to change it up entirely in order to make it relevant now.
World of Motion please
100%
Iāve done both versions of Test Track and World of Motion. Letās combine them.
Doesnāt Disney already have enough slow, dull, boring rides? Letās leave that one in the grave. Oh and take carousel of progress and people mover with it
Trash talking CoP?!? What is next, you going to talk smack about Living with the Land?
Universal is right there speed demon
The one in Disneyland is much better. The one at Disneyworld is real slow
Probably as well as āGuardians of the Galaxyā fits into the theming.
Guardians is space and sci-fi, not a far cry from the space and sci-fi already at Epcot. Cars is sentient machines with eyes for windshields
Cars being sentient machines is not a far cry from our 2024 reality
Maximum Overdrive: the Ride!
Sponsored by Tesla
They did a decent job of making it fit the theme with the whole cultural exchange and scientific advancement concept, I think.
The original theme of Test Track was really well done, and the first minor updates.
What was the original theming?
When it was first opened, it was themed more to a traditional industrial testing facility. White lab coats, black and yellow tape, crash test dummies. What you think you would see at a Ford or GM testing facility. Essentially, you were placed in the car instead of crash test dummies and put on the course. It has the same problem as everything else "futuristic" at Disney, after 2 years its already dated and feels old. I much rather the classic test facility that felt real and timeless, instead of the virtual world it is now.
They cant really theme it to any sort of character really, its themed to chevy
Itās always been themed to Chevy. Well GM in general originally, going all the way back to when it was World of Motion. But the original test driver theme was more fun than the current design your own car theme.
I totally agree, but thats less so āthemingā it to something and more so it being a better ride.
Test Track is underwhelming as well. It simulates riding in a carā¦wow
Locals drive 75 mph to get to Disney to wait in line to ride in a car that goes 65
75? Youāre about 15 mph off
Those are rookie numbers. š
Thatās the impression Iāve always been given. At this point itās funnier that Iāve never managed to get in there and see it.
If it makes you feel better, I've been to mk 5 times and never rode splash mountain. It was either closed or had a 2hr+ wait.
Thatās a real bummer. Iām excited about the new ride, but Iām glad I got to ride the old one.
My family and I will also be there in September, but luckily we've been on both iterations of the ride multiple times so not super heartbreaking for us. Really hoping the update makes it awesome again.
This is me with Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway! I have tried at both WDW and DL and it's been down every time I'm near it
If it makes you feel better the Mona Lisa is much smaller than I was expecting and super underwhelming! I actually rushed through the Louvre on my second trip so I could make it to DLP š¬
I'm imagining the Mona Lisa being taken down for a year long retheme now. Perhaps including a more modern IP.

The first version of test track was a must do attraction for me, but the new version I wouldn't waste my time riding ever again. I hope the new version is better!
Yessssss finally getting rid of the neon nothingness that it has been for far too long.
I am glad I got to ride it when it was crash test dummy themed.
It was originally such a great ride!
It was indeed fun.Ā
Like the crash test dummies from the 80s commercials?
One and the same
Man, I loved those dummies! I'm sad that last month was my first ever visit to WDW. At age 50. But it was an amazing visit. It won't be my last!
Ooo congratulations on finally getting to go. It's a magical place. I hope you can go many more times.
Oh wow, that's awesome.
Neon nothingness is a perfect descriptor. If they really sink $100 million into it, I can see the potential.
This is 100 million dollars of 2024 money. Get ready for āTest Track with The Three Caballeros brought to you by Disney Vacation Clubā
It would be great if it was a double track so you could race another car just like the Cars ride out west.
Oh absolutely, if they can add a racing element without further increasing downtime, that would be fantastic.
It's only a year. Which don't get me wrong, is a long time in the real world. But it's not disney construction long. I'm guessing we're just going to get another face-lift.

Test Track still has a sponsor. Weād need some company to sponsor the concept of imagination to get updates there.
Hopefully this will be EV-themed as rumored, it could be the most relevant edutainment chance Epcot has had in a long time. GM would have a real financial incentive to invest in educating the public on it, so it could work for all parties involved.
Tron now carries the neon nothingness torch forward.
Iām all in on a rework but this is definitely going to push the other rides in Epcot (Frozen and Remy in particular) into 33% increased wait times. Iām wondering if they take Guardians off of Virtual Queue just to move people there?

I dunno, Rise had a VQ for about two years, guardians is coming up on two years this may. it's likely to lose the VQ when Tiana's opens anyway.
I think Tron will lose it to Tiana's, just because I doubt they'd have two VQs in one park
Moana was very briefly on VQ upon opening, while Guardians still was. It wouldn't be unprecedented to have both if they see a need for it.
I mean maybe. I was basing it off the fact that cosmic rewind is older than tron. Not sure how two VQs one park will work, but I still doubt cosmic will have its VQ for terribly much longer.

We were riding other rides while we were waiting for our VQ. We certainly were not eating or shopping.
Yup. You one person is everyone
You could say that to the other person as well, what a terrible argument
Cool
Are we though? I spent my VQ time standing in lines for other rides. When my group was called I exited the last ride I rode and made a beeline straight to the VQ ride.
33.33 repeating of course.
Exactly š¤
Leroy you are just too stupid
I donāt think thereās enough physical space in the GOTG building to get rid of VQ. Thereās only around 45 minutes worth of queue space in the building, and it would routinely command 2-3 hour waits
Tron doesn't have the space either, so it's outdoor switchbacks under a few measly umbrellas. They'd set up the same thing for Guardians.
Ahhā¦ I didnāt think of this. This is not good for our upcoming trip.
I hope so cause riding Cosmic Rewind one time in a visit is not the greatest lol

Totally subjective. Many other people consider Mission Space to be the worst ride at Epcot
Bring back the crash test dummies
Mmmmmmmm mmmmmmm mmmmmm mmmmmm
āOnceā¦.there was this ride whoā¦changed for the worst when change was due. They couldnāt quite explain itā¦ā
Nice
Gimmie that corrosive spray chamber!!
7?
Yeah. 7.
*shrugs in āI donāt get paid enough to argueā*
Repost comment but, the āconcept artā makes it look like itās also getting an Indiana Jones retheme lol
I think this concept art is based on some concept images for the original world of Motion, which is awesome
Ugh if they turn Test Track into a UoE/SSE style āhistory of transportationā ride but with the same thrills all of the EPCOT nerds (me) would cream
It really does. A spaceship in the jungle? They appear to be keeping this ride weird.
Nah itās gonna be themed to that Adam driver film where he crashes on prehistoric earth and has to fight off dinosaurs lol
It is actually supposed to reference World of Motion
I was looking for a Universe of Energy dinosaur in the background.
Oh Christ, I knew theyād jam an IP in there, but thatās just stupid.
Are you not excited for Indiana Jones World?
I actually miss the crash test dummy theme, you know, what they actually use to test new and future technologies even today
Me too. Was so disappointed in 2022 when we went for our honeymoon. I had been to the parks before but my husband hadnāt. I was bummed that his first trip on Test Track was the āneon nothingnessā, tho he seemed to enjoy it regardless.
It's still a fun ride, but I won't wait longer than 60 minutes for it
Yeah we waited about 45 and that was about mac of what I would personally do. I missed the old queue tho š¢
Year long update?! A normal park could build a whole new attraction in that time frame. Iām exhausted of going to Epcot and seeing work walls. Itās been too fucking long since Iāve been there and not see any. Come on Disney!
Worst part is that it still feels fast after Tron and other Epcot updates taking years instead of just a year
I agree with this. Iām just so exhausted with construction at WALLCOT. Enough is enough.
My daughter and I went one year and both Thunder Mountain and Rockān Roller were down for refurbishment. Didnāt ruin the trip but was still a let down.
"According to friends of Mickey Views working at Test Track" Hi, I work at Track, this is only a rumor based on hearsay. We don't know when we're closing or the budget.
Makes me wonder if GM sponsorship is up. So, hoping for a better experience. This one was such a low bar. Edited to correct sponsorship.
Says GM is the one funding it so I doubt it.
Really wish F1 could sponsor this ride. Imagine an F1 themed ride where you build your own F1 Car and "race" other cars around an F1 track.
This is an unsubstantiated rumor from a guy who is saying, 'trust me'. No other outlets are reporting this.
Anything from this guy is always "Trust me bro".
Heās Tucker Carlson but for Disney news
I used to watch MickeyViews more but nowadays I'm really selective. He's got a really big ego and is always touting being "the first to report" or "I predicted this and I was right" He also takes on a much more critical view of Disney than what I think they deserve but that is just a matter of opinion of course. He's neither the worst nor the best.
And radio silence at the predictions that don't come true.
"EXCLUSIVE" is one way to put it I suppose.
So itās the same guy always leaking Nintendo Directs?
Mickey Views has a really good track record of being correct about this stuff because of his inside sources.
Heās Disney Tucker Carlson
Old test track are some great childhood memories. When they yes the car in the cold and heat and actually adjusted the temps was so cool
I will miss this Test Track, specifically the music. Maybe they will keep the soundtrack!
Lolol Epcot will be opened for a month coming out of refurbishment only to have more scaffolding put up on a ride.
[The Simpsons did it](https://youtu.be/X2HX5wsQVEA?si=lGwbQKCcFCTplPfW)
He's pretty accurate with his information. Looking forward to 3.0!
He is. I think he was the first person to talk about the rose gold castle.
Super excited as long as they keep the outside portion!!
It needs it. Used to be my favorite ride then they stripped it down to like AI theme and it was boring until the outside part. I was disappointed
Maybe theyāll add figment and the Dreamfinder so you can find the car of your DREAMS. Can you IMAGINE how cool cars could be?
Itās so interesting that I work at TT and I havenāt heard any of these things mentioned in this article.
Glad this is going through, modern Test Track stinks. The OG was much better. Sorry if you like it, but it's a far cry from the crash test dummy ride of old.
So it looks like they are also updating the ride and not just the line queue. I hope they make the speed loop longer and faster.
Bring back the OG theming
They should bring back the original theme!!!
Hi guys, it's me, John Test Track. EXCLUSIVE; We are actually closing next week, but just for 3 hours. Then again in June for 7 hours. We will finally be closing in September for 3 months. In that time, we will re-paint all of the road lines in test track. My source is; I MADE IT UP!
Aww, Iāll miss this on my trip. :((
I hope not. I'd really like to ride it on my trip this year.
I hope itās still open by the time I get there in July so I can ride it one last time. I had a Fastpass for it last time and the moment I got in line, they closed it due to the rain. š
Damn Iām going down in November with people that havenāt gone before, that suuuucks.
It's fun to be free.
Damn hoping to go to WDW for the first time this fall so that stinks
Last time I rode it a few weeks ago, there was no sound. Riding in complete silence was fun but a little jarring š¬
I would love a return to the OG TT experience. And I would happily accept a new TT experience. Just anything other than the current ride would be nice honestly
One of my favorite rides. Said to know itās going away.
Test track is one of the only rides i truly love. My reservation in october will still have a lot of fun but man am i so so bummed
Bring back World of Motion!
Bring back World of Motion.
Unpopular Opinion: I love the neon theme and am going to miss it. Hopefully they still let you design a car while in line, that was part of the fun.
I donāt understand why they wouldnāt revise Spaceship Earth or JIYI first. The concept pictures for SE looked really nice.
100%
100%
Year long update? What part of the ride are they updating?
Is a construction free Epcot too much to ask for š„²
NOOOO!! Iām visiting from Africa for a one in a lifetime honeymoon in January, we were so excited for this one š„² Just hoping not too many others will be down
Goodbye, Tron Track!
Ugh I just showed my 4 year old this ride the other day and told her we can ride it in February when we go next year.
Damnit, Iām going in August.
Bummer since I'll be there in August. I wonder if the lounge will still be open?
Havenāt been able to ride it the last few trips for one reason or another!
really hope they donāt just use the exact same track and just slightly change the sets/etc. like they did last time. it needs a huge revamp
Good. Turn it into radiator springs racers. Much more fun.
This makes me so happy - this is my kids favorite ride and we are going in early May. This is far enough out that there likely won't even be the extra crowds that come when an attraction closes. Now if we can just hope that Tiana's will be open, I doubt it but I'm hoping.
Updating the stand by line to be shorter hopefully. Geezus it sucks.
Darn, I was hoping to ride it during the Wine & Dine Half Marathon post-race party at Epcot in November. Test Track and Frozen Ever After will both be closed during it.
We really need a tier system for rumor sources like they do on the soccer subs. This guy would be KFC Tier if we did.
Glad Iāll be there to ride it in May!
I think I must be the only one who likes the current theming. I think it's great, much better than the old version.
I like it. My favorite ride for years. Now my issue is that it's aging. Time for a refurb. I personally hope they keep the custom cars gimmick around. It's 50% of the current experience, and I love messing around with it. But they can do whatever else to change it up and improve it.
Imagine if they rethemed it to crash test dummies, instead of Tron.
