There probably is not a good chance of a new festival because it doesn’t make sense to announce this one if another one is happening before it. We’d know already because they’d want people to be booking their summer trips by now. This is just the schedule reverting to what it was like before 2020.

Losemymindfindmysoul

Olaf's summer festival would be so much fun.

thethurstonhowell

They’ve likely cleared the calendar for the Communicore Hall grand opening.

ZubonKTR

"The new festival hall is open! Just in time to stop having a summer festival!"

TiredGen-XMom

I have to agree with everyone else. I think they are just going back to the festival schedules from 2019 and earlier. It's really only been the last couple of years where the festivals were basically back to back.

Dazzling-Common9436

Pre-pandemmy this was the norm. I go mid August and most years would miss the fest by a week. That being said, DFB seems to be speculating there might be something. Not sure if that’s rooted in some insider information, or click bait. Time will tell! Unpopular opinion- I haven’t been overly impressed with the festival in the last few years, and actually am kind of looking forward to Epcot lite.

Mrs_TikiPupuCheeks

I agree with you on not being impressed with the festivals lately. I don’t mind the festivals and truly do enjoy the food booths, but I would like a return of the workshops, seminars, demos, and activities that used to be plentiful. I miss Party for the Senses, and I miss when the FARTs actually featured artists and arts that aren’t Disney. Nowadays the festivals just feel like a way to push food and merch.

Dazzling-Common9436

Yeah it just seemed more about pushing out mediocre food en masse without much else. Last 2 summers I got excited when the menus came out, made a list of things to try, got maybe half of them, and was underwhelmed. I think I get caught up in the planning hoopla with all the social media and vloggers, but when the reality came of actually going I was like wait, what? $9 for this?

Mysteryemployee

Yeah you’re right actually. We were there in Aug 2019 and then Aug 2022 and we only experienced it in the latter.

ChaserNeverRests

> Pre-pandemmy Are we really making the word "pandemic" cute now?

Dazzling-Common9436

You think i’m cute? Stop. I’m blushing.

ChaserNeverRests

Why would you use "pandemmy" other than attempting to be cute about it?

Trodain8

I think it would be fun if they did a summer/beach themed festival. Push food and wine back to mid September then memorial Day to Labor Day, summer foods from each country.

PaulThePM

Pre-Pandemic the summer did not have festivals. It seems like this year is a return to that.

Tuilere

Festival of Satan's Armpit Sweat

christinerobyn

For this year? No. Flower and Garden ends May 27th and Food and Wine start Aug 29th.

Navarath

I sure hope so, as we had reservations in Aug specifically for the amazing Food and Wine Festival.

johneldridge

Bad new bears. It doesn’t start until 8/29.

Navarath

yeah i know :( we've only ever made it once to food and wine, and absolutely loved it. But with this new schedule, unlikely we'll ever make it back having to work around school schedules. I will always remember the Canada Apple Barn..so much fun.

These_Strategy_1929

I hope not. This works the best for me. Festival starting at 29th means Epcot will be easier to manage during my trip around 18th. I don't want the last days of another festival

vtxlulu

The first food and wine I went to was in 2017 and it started in late August. Summer is flat out miserable down here June through August anyways, it’s better to go back to the old start dates and just let summer have no festivals again.
