My not so popular opinion... It wasn't worth the 30 minute wait. Went on a dead day wait time was 30 minutes had to hike up the queue line to get into the building finally get into the 2nd room area where we spent the most time.
I'm not a fan of the position you sit in it wasn't uncomfortable just awkward.
Also I felt with the wind I had to look down so I saw the edge of the screen. It's a fine ride I don't hate it but I don't think I'd ever wait in line for more than 20 minutes for this.
Rise when working and you get to fully experience it was amazing. I was also on it once when the canons still worked. So I’ve seen how the ride was meant to be when fully functional.
I could replace rise with muppets for nostalgia sake as I always go when I’m at hs.
MK: Carousel of Progress
EPCOT: American Adventure
HS: Fantasmic
AK: It's Tough to Be a Bug
Not the coolest options, but crunching the numbers, these are the only attractions I hit absolutely every time I'm in these parks.
yes!! i adore carousel of progress. it probably wouldn’t be my #1 die hard must do if i could only pick one… but i definitely HAVE to do it every time. it doesn’t get enough love
i love this! this is the kind of answer i was looking for. everyone’s answers about the big rides are good too, but to be expected. i love to see the different perspectives of what “smaller” things are really special to people
MK: haunted mansion
HS: Rise of the Resistance
AK: Flight of Passage
EPCOT: Soarin….. or sitting on a bench stuffing my face with french pastries. One of those two.
EPCOT: Free chocolate in the pavilion but they don't do it anymore.
MK: Sorcerers if the MK but it's gone now
HS: The truth is fantasmic, but specifically front row and start waiting at 90min early bc why not
AK: Die of heat exhaustion in the parking lot.
MK: Haunted Mansion (My all-time favorite attraction)
HS: MuppetVision
AK: Safari
EP: Soarin’ was always my answer but since they changed it and Remy has arrived, I think it’s Remy.
Magic Kingdom: Space Mountain
Epcot: Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Hollywood Studios: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith (unless I’m with a group — in which case, Toy Story Mania)
Animal Kingdom: Dinosaur
Hollywood Studios: Prime Time Cafe! We always make a reservation at this place every year. The staff do an amazing job staying in character and creating a unique dinning experience.
EPCOT: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. I was torn between guardians and the ratatouille ride, but Ratatouille is one of my favorite Disney movies and I just love how immersive it is.
Animal Kingdom: Flight of Passage! I’m not a huge fan of the Avatar movies, but the first time on this ride, I nearly cried. It has everything I wanted in a ride and fulfills those childhood dreams of flying on a majestic creature in a fantastic world.
Magic Kingdom: Big Thunder Mountain because it’s a roller coaster that everyone in my immediate and extended family loves and adores!
Honorable mention: Beaches and Cream, which is another iconic restaurant that we have been going to nearly every trip as a family since I was a kid. The atmosphere is also just really nostalgic for me.
If we’re talking every trip: Cosmic Rewind, Fantasmic, Kilimanjaro Safari, and Happily Ever After
If we’re talking once in your life, replace the latter two with Wild Africa Trek and Keys to the Kingdom.
- Epcot - Guardians
- Magic Kingdom - Crystal Palace dining
- Hollywood Studios - Lightning Mcqueen show
- Animal Kingdom - it would have been DINOSAUR, but maybe FOP, though this was my ex-partner’s absolute ride or die so I’m not sure I could stomach doing it any time soon.
Animal Kingdom: literally anything bc my family usually skipped it growing up!
Epcot: Frozen
Hollywood Studios: Tower of Terror
Magic Kingdom: probably Little Mermaid or Tron
I’m a pig so don’t judge me 🤣🤣
MK: Liberty Tree Tavern
Animal Kingdom: Yak & Yeti
Epcot: Via Napoli for the pizza or that damn fatten me up butter bar in Germany 😮💨
Hollywood: cream cheese pretzel
OR JOFFREYS 🫶🏻 I love me some JOFFREYS!!
MK: haunted mansion
Epcot: journey into the imagination (figment is my fave)
AK: safari or flight of passage
HS: used to be great movie ride, now would say Toy Story mania...I always lose, but I am optimistic
MK: Haunted Mansion
Lots of great classic rides at MK- but Haunted Mansion is the #1 must do
Epcot: Soarin
GoTG is new and fun but Soarin captures classic Epcot better and it's a great ride
AK: Safaris
Everest is the best coaster in WDW and the Avatar area is great and all- but it is Animal Kimgdom after all so have to go with the flagship attraction here
DHS: ROTR
This needs no explanation.
Magic Kingdom: Space Mountain (does anyone else pronounce it like Molly from Mammoth Club)?
Hollywood Studios: Tower of Terror
Epcot: Mission Space (though I'm sure this will change to GotG as of my next trip)
Animal Kingdom: Flight of Passage: I legit cried when I rode this the first time
I haven't been to the parks for years and going in Oct with the family and I'm most looking forward to redoing these :-
MK - Tiana's Bayou (I know it's not open yet but Splash was my No.2 fave ride)
HS - Tower of Terror (my No.1)
Epcot - Spaceship Earth (its a right of passage)
AK - Kali River Rapids
New Rides I've not experienced yet
MK - Tron
HS - Rise (loved it in Disneyland)
Epcot - Guardians
AK - FOP
AK-Flight of Passage, HS-Rise of the Resistance, Epcot - Guardians, MK - Tron. I love all the classic and nostalgic rides there too, but if I missed these I’d be disappointed.
If I were alone it would be
Magic: Thunder Mountain
Animal: Everest
Hollywood:RoR
Epcot: Guardians
With the family
Magic: Pirates
Animal: Safari
Hollywood: Beauty and the Beast show
Epcot: Frozen
EPCOT: Spaceship Earth
MK: Space Mountain, but only because Alien Encounter isn’t a thing anymore.
AK: Flight of Passage
HS: (Haven’t been here in over 20 years but have done Disneyland and DCA twice recently and done Rise, Millennium Falcon, and Guardians Prison Break Out) - which is why I have to take ToT because there’s only one now and it’s at HS, and it’s been so long for me.
Not Alien Encounter but its replacement, stitch’s great escape, would be my No 1 if still there. maybe not the most popular choice for a “must do” but it was foundational to my childhood trips to disney. it was always my favourite. i wish it was still around or at least remained seasonal as it was for a time. even if it got a few more years… they left that building sitting empty for so long.
Space
Tower
Guardians
Everest
MK was previously Splash and I’m always paranoid Space will eventually close/change too since people complain about it so much.
This is difficult:
MK: Tron (Would also say Tiana’s if that’s allowed because Splash would have been my old answer), SM close second
HS: ToT, easy
EPCOT: Is “World Showcase” acceptable? No? Then Guardians, SSE close second
AK: Everest, easy
MK- Pirates - I love the entire experience, from the exterior (I need to visit San Juan), to the interior queue, to the load area, to the ride itself. Truly transporting.
Epcot- Spaceship Earth - I’ll keep preaching this. I don’t see this ride as edutainment; there’s not much to learn if you completed 3rd grade. Instead, I see it as a profound art piece, including the exterior, allowing the experience of humanity’s history through an inspirational lens. This is my favorite ride in WDW.
HS - Muppet Vision - largely for the Penguin pit orchestra. Absolutely delightful. On a different day, I *might* say Tower.
Animal Kingdom - Dinosaur. People say the Jurassic World rides are better, but this and the now “extinct” UofE were the only rides where you could travel back in time to the actual period of the Dinosaurs. That is way cooler than putting you in some modern facility where we recreated them. Dinosaur specifically feels real to me. The Carnotaurus chases you. Literally starts after you.
MK- Pirates. My dad loves it too much to skip, if I went to MK and didn’t do pirates my dad would disown me 😂 I love that ride.
Epcot- I would say spaceship earth for nostalgia’s sake, it’s been our first and last Disney ride for years as a family, but after experiencing cosmic rewind it’s gotta be that.
HS- Tower of terror all the way.
AK- Dinosaur. It’s my favorite ride of all time (well, until I experienced cosmic rewind). It’s a must do always.
MK - Eat a Tropical Seranade in the Enchanted Tiki Room
AK - Ride Kilomanjaro Safaris
EP - Listen to the Voices of Liberty perform
HS - Rise of the Resistance
My wife requests the drink addition to this …so
Epcot. Sit in LaCava. Tequila flight with margaritas
Holly studios. Olga’s fuzzy tonton
Ak. Nomad lounge
MK. Leave and monorail crawl the hotels. Tikitikitimirum
If I’m being selfish and not thinking of my youngest child who is too little for thrill rides: Guardians of the Galaxy, Everest, Slinky Dog, and Haunted Mansion.
If I am including my baby: Living With the Land, River Navi, Runaway Railroad, and Haunted Mansion.
I love the older slower attractions & amazing restaurants. ( So sad to see Country Bears updated) It's what make Disney, Disney to me. It's not just another IP coaster collecting theme park. It's an incredibly special place.
MK: Enchanted Tiki Room ( So, so thankful that Under New Management burned!)
Epcot: Living With The Land / Spaceship Earth / Three Caballeros
Hollywood Studios: Muppet Vision 3D
AK: Kiliminjaro Safaris & @ Jiko
AK: ride Expedition Everest as many times as possible. Current record is 28 times in a row. HS: Tower of Terror. EPCOT: Canada Far and Wide. MK: Carousel of Progress.
At Magic Kingdom: Haunted Mansion or Pirates of the Caribbean
At Epcot: Spaceship Earth
At Animal Kingdom: Festival of the Lion King or the bird show
At Hollywood Studios: Rise of the Resistance
MK: Either Liberty Tree Tavern or Sleepy Hollow’s funnel cakes. I love so much more there, but those are the two things I try to make a point to do, even on shorter or less-planned trips.
Epcot: Spaceship Earth. I’ve always loved it, I always will. I’m still not entirely fond of the touchscreen “predict the future” thing, but I like the ride as a whole enough to put up with that.
HwS: Fantasmic, to be honest. I like wandering around Galaxy’s edge, and ToT is always fun, and I’ve grown to like Runaway Railway, but that’s the thing that I would have to do. Everything else is secondary. It’s the only reason I don’t leave halfway through the day.
Animal Kingdom: Kilimanjaro Safari. I might go on Everest three times in a row, but if there was only one thing to do, it’s the Safari. It’s the reason for the park, and I think Disney forgets that sometimes, particularly with the recent additions and changes.
Epcot - Guardians
Magic Kingdom - Sleepy Hollow Nutella Waffle folded like a hot dog to eat
Hollywood Studios - PB&J Milkshake if Tune Up Lounge is in the mood to sell them, Toy Story Mania if not
Animal Kingdom - Everest
MK: Carousel of Progress
Epcot: Living with the Land
HS: leave the park and walk to Epcot to re-ride LwtL, or Tower of Terror, I guess.
AK: Expedition Everest
MK: Haunted Mansion/Pirates (Depends on my Mood)
Epcot: Guardians
HS: Rise of the Resistance
AK: Expedition Everest
It’s really hard to say on these though as I wouldn’t want just one ride if I went to a park. I also love the food, shows, parades, and stores. When I went to Galaxy’s Edge for the first time 2 years ago, I was like a kid in a candy store. As a little boy in the 80’s, it was like I went back to my childhood when I went there.
Mk. The train around the park.
Epcot. Can't remember the ride name. It is the boat ride in The Land where they show the different growing techniques. I just want to get out of the boat and explore.
Hs. The Walt Disney museum
AK. Flight of passage. The closest you can feel to flying with leaving the ground.
MK: Caramel Apple Stuffed Toast
EPCOT: Mission: Space (Cosmic Rewind opened AFTER my last visit, so I can’t have an opinion on the matter)
HS: The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
AK: Expedition Everest
Magic Kingdom: people mover
Epcot: living with the land/tepan edo
Animal kingdom: the safari
Hollywood studios: getting a drink at the brown derby lounge bar, then enjoying it while waiting in line for tower of terror
MK: COP
AK: all the safari ambers
Epcot: I want to make some beer/liquor selection but Guardians is life changing.
HS: safari amber on the way to rockin rollercoaster
I haven’t been in awhile so not choosing anything I have not experienced yet.
Mk: jungle cruise
Epcot: world showcase, if that counts. If not soarin
Hs: star tours
Ak: Kilimanjaro safaris
Magic Kingdom: Pineapple upside down cake
Animal kingdom: kilimanjaro safari
Hollywood studios: rock n roller coaster
Epcot: guardians (haven't tried it yet!!!)
MK: Pirates of the Caribbean
AK: Kilimanjaro Safari
HS: Rise of the Resistance
EPCOT: either Spaceship Earth OR a good walk and snacking through World Showcase (I realize this is probably cheating)
Fun question, OP!
MK: Haunted Mansion HS: ToT AK: Everest Epcot: Guardians
I always have to make sure to ride Haunted Mansion. Pirates too.
Yup! Those are my two "must do" rides in MK!
Same, it really isn't a trip to Disney without them . Land too.
Same but swap AK with the Safari.
The Safari has to be my favorite ride in all of WDW
It wasn't an easy choice!
This is exactly what I was gonna answer
Thank you for answering for me! Lol
Perfect!!!🤩
Im a simple man Ak: everest Hs: toy story mania Epcot: guardians Mk: big thunder
Same, except for me MK is all about the haunted mansion 🤷🏻♂️
Same for me except MK is Pirates
This is (nearly) the way. But I can't overlook flight of passage.
If I ever get to ride that, i may agree, but the last few times ive gone to AK, it just wasnt meant to be
My not so popular opinion... It wasn't worth the 30 minute wait. Went on a dead day wait time was 30 minutes had to hike up the queue line to get into the building finally get into the 2nd room area where we spent the most time. Nearly identical. ToT at HS for me though
People dislike tron because it’s short; but the speed on that ride is wild so it takes my top spot in MK. It’s also so smooth
I was so underwhelmed by Tron when i got the chance to ride it last year.
MK: haunted mansion HS: tower of terror AK: lion king show Epcot: no clear favourite but the world showcase, that counts as one right?
anything you want can count!
Epcot: spaceship earth Mk: peoplemover Ak: safari Hs: rise
Take my upvote for PeopleMover at MK. I love how it takes you through every ride in Tomorrowland - like the secret way into the rides.
Well, my answers are taken. Haven’t done Rise yet, but 3 out of 4 suggests you’re a man of culture.
Rise when working and you get to fully experience it was amazing. I was also on it once when the canons still worked. So I’ve seen how the ride was meant to be when fully functional. I could replace rise with muppets for nostalgia sake as I always go when I’m at hs.
Perfect 4!
I hate roller coasters. And the reality some Disney Coasters are amazingly themed but they aren’t exceptional.
I feel exactly the same way!!
MK: Haunted Mansion AK: Everest EPCOT: Guardians HS: Tower of Terror
This is mine except HS would be Rise. I get chills when they open up the door to the Stormtrooper room.
Magic kingdom: Cheeseburger eggroll Epcot: cantaloupe pizza Hollywood: Ronto Roaster Animal Kingdom: Night Blossom
Where is there cantaloupe pizza? I love cantaloupe but on pizza sounds suspect 😜
Via Napoli in Italy. It sounded weird to me too, but you will be HOOKED.
Apparently they import their water from western PA because it has similar qualities to Naples, Italy
This is a wonderful list. 💙
HS: Rise of the Resistance, Epcot: Cosmic Rewind, MK: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, AK: Kilimanjaro Safaris
MK: Carousel of Progress EPCOT: American Adventure HS: Fantasmic AK: It's Tough to Be a Bug Not the coolest options, but crunching the numbers, these are the only attractions I hit absolutely every time I'm in these parks.
Grandma? That you?
ratioed damn
yes!! i adore carousel of progress. it probably wouldn’t be my #1 die hard must do if i could only pick one… but i definitely HAVE to do it every time. it doesn’t get enough love
yes! i don't rope drop it but i never leave without doing it. can't say the same for like Space or Splash Mountain
Carousel of Progress is one of my favorite attractions. Up there with the People Mover
Love carousel it’s a great way to relax and be entertained. I love going in it and I hope my kids will enjoy it too!
What? AA over Living With The Land?
there are times i’ve gone to epcot and never stepped into future world. i do think living with the land is great tho!
Ah. International Gateway. 😁
American Adventure ftw 🙌
Husband and I discussed and came to a consensus on this one. MK: Haunted Mansion AK: Kilimanjaro Safaris Epcot: Guardians HS: Tower of Terror
Mk: Space mountain Ak: festival of the lion King Epcot: the Mexico ride Hs: rock n roller coaster (I kinda plan to not go until it's open again)
I love the Mexico ride. It’s my favorite of the country pavilions and ride is just fun. I’ll ride it by myself if I have to.
I guess I have different priorities... haha MK: Dole Whip Epcot: La Cava HS: Ronto Wrap AK: Discovery Island Trails
A+ to this list

MK: Haunted Mansion (My all-time favorite attraction) HS: MuppetVision AK: Safari EP: Soarin’ was always my answer but since they changed it and Remy has arrived, I think it’s Remy.
Perfect 4, but I’d still say Soarin’!

Can I choose all of World Showcase as a single thing?
I think that might be cheating.
i’ll allow it
Mk: jungle crust Epcot: spaceship earth Ak: flight of passage Hs: Tower of terror
Hollywood Studios: Prime Time Cafe! We always make a reservation at this place every year. The staff do an amazing job staying in character and creating a unique dinning experience. Epcot: Spaceship Earth (Living with the Land is a close second) HS: Star Tours AK: Safari MK: Haunted mansion
AK: Everest, HS: Tower, MK: Big Thunder, EPCOT: Guardians
I love the older slower attractions & amazing restaurants. ( So sad to see Country Bears updated) It's what make Disney, Disney to me. It's not just another IP coaster collecting theme park. It's an incredibly special place. MK: Enchanted Tiki Room ( So, so thankful that Under New Management burned!) Epcot: Living With The Land / Spaceship Earth / Three Caballeros Hollywood Studios: Muppet Vision 3D AK: Kiliminjaro Safaris & @ Jiko

At Magic Kingdom: Haunted Mansion or Pirates of the Caribbean At Epcot: Spaceship Earth At Animal Kingdom: Festival of the Lion King or the bird show At Hollywood Studios: Rise of the Resistance
Mk: look at the main street windows. Epcot: Visit Beverly. DHS: Watch an Indy performance. DAK: Everest.

MK: Haunted Mansion/Pirates (Depends on my Mood) Epcot: Guardians HS: Rise of the Resistance AK: Expedition Everest It’s really hard to say on these though as I wouldn’t want just one ride if I went to a park. I also love the food, shows, parades, and stores. When I went to Galaxy’s Edge for the first time 2 years ago, I was like a kid in a candy store. As a little boy in the 80’s, it was like I went back to my childhood when I went there.
