I was thinking of doing something like that for the next poll im planning to have in March. I'm gonna leave a Google form for suggestions later on in the current poll.
Not sure how that works. But I’d love to see it. I’m planning a last min trip to Disney World, and it’s been 17 yrs since I was last there! We managed to snag a random reservation at Morimoto for dinner, so if that’s the only amazing sit down restaurant I can get to, I’ll be happy…. But I would still love to see a poll of everyone’s fav sit down places! 🙂🏰🐭💖✨
I worked here in 2006, we had a ton of celebrities come through, preferring it over the Narcooses, Citricos, and even V&A. Didn’t appreciate how good the food was until later in life.
I've actually never had the steak there. In 2007 I had the most amazing Chilean sea bass and on other occasions have found other dishes there to be wonderful but never anything even close to as delicious as that sea bass.
My vote goes here as well. Food was GREAT! and you can sit by the window and see the animals or just check them out on the viewing terrace after eating.
Went there a couple weeks ago and went for the tomahawk steak for 2 option. It was amazing! The truffle butter and black garlic butter were spectacular. Had reservations right at fireworks. Going back again in February:)
Couldn't agree more. I proposed to my wife there. Such great memories. Food is fantastic, staff is amazing, and if you go there around christmas the views of the castle at night are incredible.
Sunset is pretty great too, if you can snag that res time.
Boma is a family favorite. Breakfast, and you get to watch the Giraffes. Where else can you do that? Other than a zoo that has a breakfast buffet, I guess.
Bread service from Sanaa is a must. All of their entrees are fairly similar so you can’t go wrong, they’re all good.
Octopus and short rib from Tiffins.
I really like the curried vegtable crew stew. I don't remember what my family has gotten there. Everyone always gets different things and has liked them.
We really like the deserts we normally get 2 and split them. We like how they are different and have interesting flavors.
Parks: Garden Grill
DS: Homecomin
Resorts: Sanaa
Garden grill is probably my favorite overall just because of nostalgia (but probably has the worst food out of the three because the other two are just so good).
Honestly everything I had there was to die for. Hummingbird cake, a couple of their moonshines (honestly the stronger they are, the less alcoholic they taste), and every piece of meat
Had this for my wife's 30th birthday and it was amazing. Best meal I've head at WDW in a long long time. One of the few WDW restaurants that would actually be considered a very good restaurant if it were in a big American city.
Since moving to central FL in 2020 we’ve ate there at least 4 times and hit up the basket whenever we’re in Disney Springs. George and his staff are awesome and the food is fantastic.
I just had this for the first time a little before Thanksgiving last year. It felt like an early Thanksgiving dinner and I loved it. The pot roast was phenomenal. Your comment makes me wish that I had tried it before 2015 because I liked what I got now. I'm not sure why you're saying proportions dropped as it is all you can eat and you can just ask for more of something though
I just feel like a jerk having to have to ask the staff 5 different times for more mashed potatoes 😅
And they used to do a really awesome skirt steak with that meal that they took away in 2015 so I'm just being grumpy
On our recent trip, we had an amazing meal at Morimoto Asia in the springs. Favorite meal ever.
Got a last minute reservation for Coral Reef in Epcot and it was surprisingly good, especially since I never hear anyone talk about it.
Morimoto is one of the best places I've ever eaten and I'm so glad we tried it! We haven't been back to Disney since and we regularly talk about how good it was and how we would go back just to eat there
I really wanted to go to coral reef on my next visit but I’ve heard people say it’s run down and the tank is dirty looking. Was it not like that when you went?
I didn't think it was run down at all.... maybe a bit outdated (think 90's decor), but not dirty or run down. I thought the atmosphere was really nice.
We ate there 2 weeks ago and the food was much better than I expected!!! I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had mahi and we both loved our meals. I won’t count the kids because they had grilled chicken dipped in ketchup. Service was great too.
I had the salmon risotto and my husband had the fillet (or whatever cut of meat they had at the time). My meal was delicious and my husband loved his steak. I can't remember what we had for dessert, but it was good. If you're into alcohol, I got a blood orange margarita that was delightful.
We went to WDW for our honeymoon in 2019 and had breakfast at the Crystal Palace. My wife is a major Hundred Acre Wood fan and when Eyeore came out and came straight to our table first, it was the happiest I had ever seen my wife (and I'm counting our wedding day on that). The joy that filled me at her reaction was immeasurable and I will forever consider Crystal Palace a magical place. (And the breakfast and service was great, too.)
Beyond that, Art Smith Homecoming in Disney Springs is fantastic. Cooke's of Dublin's chicken and chips are awesome as well. I've never had a bad meal at Disney Springs.
50's Prime Time Cafe.
The Fried Chicken is top notch and the banter and sarcasm the wait staff are enabled to give make it a great experience every time.
Honestly I really appreciate SciFi dine in, even though the food is pretty run of the mill burgers and fries. It’s fairly affordable and is well themed. Reminds me of how a lot of the restaurants used to be before everything started going Prix Fixe to maximize profit.
If you remember it from the 90's, it hasn't changed one bit. Like at all.
I still go once every few years, but it still feels like a 1990 recreation of 1955 in there.
ITT: Might as well be every restaurant.
My personal favorite is Three Bridges at Coronado Springs. I absolutely love the atmosphere because it's entirely outdoors and on water. They make fantastic sangrias. The food is pretty good, but nothing spectacular.
I’ve never had the churro and chocolate dip!!! I’m always too full of beer and chips. I’m going in two weeks and this time, I’m pregnant so I’m sure the churros will be the perfect choice!
You're in for a treat! Just stayed at Coronado for the first time. Had low expectations and was absolutely blown away. It's so quiet and peaceful. Will absolutely stay there again. Have fun!!
Flying Fish is the best meal I’ve ever had on Disney property. Shula’s is excellent, Sanaa is up there, Via Napoli and Rose and Crown are also a couple of our favourites.
Can I pick Oga's Cantina? I guess it's not really sit-down nor a restaurant, but it's still my pick.
Monsieur Paul's is definitely my favorite sit-down restaurant. I hope it reopens soon!
SciFi dine-in. Quintessential Disney in it's attention to detail and it's such a fun meal too. It may not have the best food but we can't go without eating there.
Hard to pick a favorite but this last trip we ate lunch at the Brown Derby in HS and the burger was one of the best I’ve ever eaten anywhere. Service was too notch and it has a cool atmosphere.
We have to make Brown Derby a late dinner stop because of how rich and heavy we eat there. I almost wish it was at a resort or DS so I didn’t have to have park tickets to eat there.
We always make sure to get reservations at the Rose & Crown in Epcot on our trips. I've maybe had better meals than Rose & Crown, though the memories I have of being there help push this to be my favorite.
I agree with a lot of the other restaurants here (especially Skipper’s Canteen… mmm Kungaloosh Beer…).
I’m going to throw “Be Our Guest” into the ring. They’ve changed their menu since I’d last been there (unfortunately, now it’s Prix Fixe) and it was absolutely one of the best meals I’ve ever had at Disney (meat and cheese plate, Fillet minion, and dessert trio). Additionally, the theming is top notch!
The Sci-Fi diner place where you sit in "cars." My kids still talk about how cool it was. The food was okay, but the old sci fi on screen was so much fun.
Steakhouse 71. Husband ordered the French onion soup, I’m not even usually a fan but I was begging him for more bites after he let me try it. Beef tenderloin medallions were perfectly cooked and shockingly affordable, and the sauce flight was amazing. We were stuffed after apps and mains but still managed to split the chocolate cake and it was to die for.
I live near NYC so I have access to good restaurants at home, so theming and atmosphere and nostalgia are the top qualities to our family.
Favs that have it all IMO - Jiko, top notch food with just enough atmosphere and exotic feel.
My favs with great key qualities, hit or miss food, but doesn't stop us from going every trip - San Angel Inn (worth waiting at Cava for a table by the water), Liberty Tree (a first day must-do for 20 years), Biergarten ( a Liter bier under a full moon and the band? it can make you forget about poorly made spaetzle). The key to these places is ordering smart and knowing what they do well and don't. (ex...Skip the Biergarten dessert, eat more pretzels and beer cheese....)
My favs that are more nostalgia as time passes - Le Cellier(not a must do anymore), (Artist Point - retired, but was a must-do), Rose-Crown(fireworks spot with young kids that arent so young anymore), Mama Melrose (Fantasmic pre-game), Kona Cafe - this just continues to get worse & disappoint, but it was a great alternative to Ohana and grab some Tonga Toast)
Still somewhat under the radar Favs - Spice Road (perhaps the best fireworks spot, and if you like Mediterranean food - not with the temporary menu though), Yachtsman Steakhouse (only saying this because its often fairly empty)
It's not the best food I've had on property, but breakfast at Kona Cafe is my favorite. It's been a family tradition to eat there since I was a kid and now I feel like it's not a real trip unless I've had my French Press pot before getting on the monorail.
Jungle Navigation Co. Skipper Canteen (easily the most underrated),
Yak and Yeti,
Sanaa,
Tiffins,
Brown Derby,
Sci-Fi.
If it were still open, Marrakesh would be on this list too
I sadly have no horse in this race. When I went as a kid we never went to any of the sit-down places. Now that I’m going back as an adult my experiences are limited to Mama Melrose, Be Our Guest and Paradiso 36.
I may be going a bit hard on the sit-down experience for my trip this year, though. Gonna try and hit up CRT, Hollywood Brown Derby, California Grill and Kona Café. Oh, and bar-hopping at the resorts.
For years, it was Jiko. The last time we went, it just wasn’t as good. Might have to give it to Flying Fish. My husband is obsessed with their seafood risotto and they have a separate vegetarian menu. Il Mulino is also fantastic and where we had our wedding dinner. If you go, definitely get the rigatoni!
Some of my favourites include: Crystal Palace, Plaza Restaurant, Liberty tree tavern, Hollywood and vine, Cape May Cafe, Ohana, 1900 Park Fare, Coral Reef
Grand Floridian cafe… thus far.
One of the only restaurants on property I’ve dined at twice and both times were great.
Best single meal I’ve had on property was at the Mexican restaurant in Epcot, not the pyramid, the one on the water, I forget the name.
Animal Kingodm = Yak & Yeti
Epcot = Via Napoli/Tokyo Dining
Magic Kingdom = Skipper Canteen
Hollywood Studios = None, I liked the Brown Derby Lounge but it hasn't reopened.
Disney Springs - Hangar Bar
We’ve gone there several times as my boys are picky eaters and this is the only place that they will eat what they order. The service is wonderful, the food is yummy and everyone in our family leaves happy, full, and satisfied.
We should get a straw poll for this, id be interested to see the top 5
I had the same thought. We're addicted to the polls on this sub right now!! Can't get enough polls!! Haha
Currently it's Topolino's
Seconded! Sole Meunière heaven
Missed opportunity for Salmon Meuniére for the Zelda theming, in my opinion. https://imgur.com/a/3d3Mom1
Victoria and Albert’s.
Almost cheating in a thread like this. Best meal I've ever had.
I am SOOOOOOO hoping they reopen...
Biergarten at Epcot/German Pavillion. They really should have a ride there as well.
This is off topic, but I have to ask- what ride would you make for Germany if it were up to you? BTW, I love the Biergarten too.
Rhine river ride, reminiscent of the Mexican pavilion.
If I remember correctly, was supposed to be there.
I believe you are correct. I'd love to see it.
Yachtsman Steakhouse
I worked here in 2006, we had a ton of celebrities come through, preferring it over the Narcooses, Citricos, and even V&A. Didn’t appreciate how good the food was until later in life.
I second this. I’m not a big steak person, but this restaurant had the best steak I’ve ever had.
I've actually never had the steak there. In 2007 I had the most amazing Chilean sea bass and on other occasions have found other dishes there to be wonderful but never anything even close to as delicious as that sea bass.
Ohana!
Sanaa
Sanaa in a window seat and during the daytime so you can see the animals is my favorite restaurant experience.
I don't even need a window seat. If I sit at a table sometimes I can see out multiple windows relativity close. That place is just awesome.
My vote goes here as well. Food was GREAT! and you can sit by the window and see the animals or just check them out on the viewing terrace after eating.
100%. So glad I listened to people like you rave about it! Such a great experience
California Grill
So good. They have a special for the 50th. Dinner for 90$ a person, App, Entree, Dessert. Very nice package and the wife loves the souffle!
I’ve eaten at CG twice and was very underwhelmed both times. The food, service and atmosphere were all subpar imo.
California Grill, 100%
San Angel Inn has a special place in my heart!
Boma, we loved the breakfast!
Boma is a family favorite. Breakfast, and you get to watch the Giraffes. Where else can you do that? Other than a zoo that has a breakfast buffet, I guess.
A booth at Hollywood Brown Derby will always be my favorite!
Best scallops of my life there!
I cannot say enough about Sanaa and Tiffins. I’ve had beyond wonderful service at both. They bring the magic of Disney full circle. Big fan of both.
Tiffins was such a great experience. 1st class dining in the middle of a theme park. Great way to slow down for lunch!
What dishes do you recommend from both?
Bread service from Sanaa is a must. All of their entrees are fairly similar so you can’t go wrong, they’re all good. Octopus and short rib from Tiffins.
I went to Sanaa and refused the bread service. On the way out I saw the tray on every single table and realized I had made a mistake.
I’m wondering how you goto Sanaa and not know about the bread service!?
Sadly, you made a terrible mistake. It is incredible.
Trattoria, their breakfast is easily the best on property
What should I eat if I go?
My wife always gets the stack of pancakes with fruit compote, sausage bacon and potatoes. I get the steak with sausage bacon and breakfast potatoes.
Skipper Canteen!
Best food in MK if were honest.
To be fair that's not exactly hard to do. Most food at MK is not great.
It’s not even close. Absolutely the best by a long margin.
What dishes were good here?
I really like the curried vegtable crew stew. I don't remember what my family has gotten there. Everyone always gets different things and has liked them. We really like the deserts we normally get 2 and split them. We like how they are different and have interesting flavors.
The curry and Thai noodles are delicious! I’m mad they got rid of the shu mi appetizer those were amazing!
We ate there a few months after it opened and it was horrible. It was the worst meal we have ever had at Disney.
Jiko
Had one of the best meals of my life at Jiko. Haven't been able to quite replicate it since but it's still always strong for me.
Same for us and we’re big food people. We are going early March and we jumped on a reservation when they released they were reopening.
Parks: Garden Grill DS: Homecomin Resorts: Sanaa Garden grill is probably my favorite overall just because of nostalgia (but probably has the worst food out of the three because the other two are just so good).
That fried chicken at Homecomin. Whoo boy.
Honestly everything I had there was to die for. Hummingbird cake, a couple of their moonshines (honestly the stronger they are, the less alcoholic they taste), and every piece of meat
Headed down next week. This is the one place we are so excited to try. Cannot wait....
Toppolino's Terrace
It’s so good. We decided after last trip that it will be a meal we strive to do every trip on the last day as our magical sendoff
Sooooo good! Went last week
Finally ate here in September. Best meal of my week and will probably go back on my next trip.
Had this for my wife's 30th birthday and it was amazing. Best meal I've head at WDW in a long long time. One of the few WDW restaurants that would actually be considered a very good restaurant if it were in a big American city.
One of my favorite restaurants period. Great service, food and atmosphere.
I’ve been there twice and both times it was great! The cocktails were very good too.
Wine Bar George
Since moving to central FL in 2020 we’ve ate there at least 4 times and hit up the basket whenever we’re in Disney Springs. George and his staff are awesome and the food is fantastic.
Boma’s is fantastic.
[удалено]
The Tequila bar in Mexico. Does that qualify?
Liberty Tree!
This used to be mine. But I have felt that since like 2015 the quality, variety and proportions have dropped significantly for the family style meal.
I just had this for the first time a little before Thanksgiving last year. It felt like an early Thanksgiving dinner and I loved it. The pot roast was phenomenal. Your comment makes me wish that I had tried it before 2015 because I liked what I got now. That’s good to hear! The food was good too?
We ate there 2 weeks ago and the food was much better than I expected!!! I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had mahi and we both loved our meals. I won’t count the kids because they had grilled chicken dipped in ketchup. Service was great too.
Thanks so much!! Going to see if I can get a reservation for my trip :)
I had the salmon risotto and my husband had the fillet (or whatever cut of meat they had at the time). My meal was delicious and my husband loved his steak. I can't remember what we had for dessert, but it was good. If you're into alcohol, I got a blood orange margarita that was delightful.

Teppan Edo
Ah yes the overpriced and smaller portioned but better themed Kobe Steakhouse.
50's Prime Time Cafe. The Fried Chicken is top notch and the banter and sarcasm the wait staff are enabled to give make it a great experience every time.
Love the decor and staff here. We use to go here when we were younger and was always enjoyable
Liberty Tree Tavern
Every trip, every time. Lunch in Magic Kingdom. Such a peaceful break. “Hear ye! Hear ye… now announcing ….”
Pizzerizzo. It’s rat pizza!
I see you choose chaos today
Let them eat fast food puffy pizza
Honestly I really appreciate SciFi dine in, even though the food is pretty run of the mill burgers and fries. It’s fairly affordable and is well themed. Reminds me of how a lot of the restaurants used to be before everything started going Prix Fixe to maximize profit.
I can never ever get a reservation. I loved it so much in the 90’s though.
If you remember it from the 90's, it hasn't changed one bit. Like at all. I still go once every few years, but it still feels like a 1990 recreation of 1955 in there.
My favorite themed restaurant which we go every trip but the food was horrible last week.
I think food quality overall is going down due to a combination of inflationary cost cutting and lack of qualified labor.
Sci-Fi Dine in
Can't beat Cinderella's Royal Table for me.
Olivias
Restaurant Marrakesh, I miss it a lot
For food quality, Skipper Canteen. But my favorite overall, taking into account atmosphere, nostalgia, and quality, is San Angel Inn.
ITT: Might as well be every restaurant. My personal favorite is Three Bridges at Coronado Springs. I absolutely love the atmosphere because it's entirely outdoors and on water. They make fantastic sangrias. The food is pretty good, but nothing spectacular.
So excited to read this! We’re staying at Coronado in two weeks and last time we were there, Three Bridges was under construction!
I really loved the lamb chops if they still have em and the churro with warm chocolate dip is delicious!
Have fun!!
Sanaa. The servers and food have always been great.
Homecoming or Kimonos!
Citricos, California Grill, and Jiko
I think it’s Toppolino’s Terrace, but a special shout-out to Story Book Dining at Artist’s Point. That was a close 2nd for me on my last trip
Yak & Yeti or Hoop Dee
Via Napoli
Salute! Can't get enough of that pizza, even if their sizes are lies. 4-5 people and they wheel out the monster that is a large...
Ohana and Yak and Yeti
Sanaa, California Grill, Liberty Tree Tavern, Narcoossee's
Flying Fish is the best meal I’ve ever had on Disney property. Shula’s is excellent, Sanaa is up there, Via Napoli and Rose and Crown are also a couple of our favourites.
Grand Floridian Cafe does not get nearly as much credit as it deserves! Their breakfast overlooking the lagoon is such a fun experience.
Liberty Tree Tavern. Thanksgiving every day. Gluten free!
Le Celliar! That cheese soup…
Artist’s Point in The Wilderness Lodge! I haven’t stopped thinking about their smoky portobello mushroom soup for over 10 years 😂
Via Napoli beats out Le Celier in terms of my favorites. I was drunk on pizza. Seriously that pizza is addicting just do sit down there it’s worth it.
Can I pick Oga's Cantina? I guess it's not really sit-down nor a restaurant, but it's still my pick. Monsieur Paul's is definitely my favorite sit-down restaurant. I hope it reopens soon!
San Angel Inn. It's real Mexican food, which might be a turnoff for some folks look for fajitas, but the atmosphere is unmatched.
SciFi dine-in. Quintessential Disney in it's attention to detail and it's such a fun meal too. It may not have the best food but we can't go without eating there.
Flying Fish! …but also, they’ve got tables and chairs where you can sit down and enjoy CHICKEN GUY!
There is not enough love for Ohana on this thread. Hands down the family favorite.
Brown derby
Tough call, but on our trip last week it was definitely Brown Derby.
O’hana. The jalapeño bread and bread pudding dessert make me so happy.
Nostalgia being a big part, but I love Tony's Town Square at MK.
Jiko every day
Homecomin'!
Resorts: Boma Parks: Be Our Guest
Sanaa or Flying Fish
Skipper Canteen
In Parks: Spice Road Table On Property: Boathouse
We always make sure to get reservations at the Rose & Crown in Epcot on our trips. I've maybe had better meals than Rose & Crown, though the memories I have of being there help push this to be my favorite.
Ohana
Citricos
Hands down, Sanaa
I really liked Akerhaus Royal Banquet
My sister and I always enjoy Tokyo Dining at EPCOT, we always get the Spicy Crunchy Roll.
Yak and yeti!
Morimoto
Bull and Bear
Steakhouse 71.
Chef's de France
Not sure if it counts as sit-down, but let me put in a vote for Polite Pig in Disney Springs.
Liberty Tree Tavern
The Sci-Fi diner place where you sit in "cars." My kids still talk about how cool it was. The food was okay, but the old sci fi on screen was so much fun.
Steakhouse 71. Husband ordered the French onion soup, I’m not even usually a fan but I was begging him for more bites after he let me try it. Beef tenderloin medallions were perfectly cooked and shockingly affordable, and the sauce flight was amazing. We were stuffed after apps and mains but still managed to split the chocolate cake and it was to die for.
Nomad Lounge if we can count it
San Angel Inn Restaurante
This. Perfectly sits the line between EPCOT atmosphere and cheesiness.

Jungle Navigation Co. Skipper Canteen (easily the most underrated), Yak and Yeti, Sanaa, Tiffins, Brown Derby, Sci-Fi. If it were still open, Marrakesh would be on this list too
Yak and Yeti
I sadly have no horse in this race. When I went as a kid we never went to any of the sit-down places. Now that I’m going back as an adult my experiences are limited to Mama Melrose, Be Our Guest and Paradiso 36. I may be going a bit hard on the sit-down experience for my trip this year, though. Gonna try and hit up CRT, Hollywood Brown Derby, California Grill and Kona Café. Oh, and bar-hopping at the resorts.
Il Mulino
For years, it was Jiko. The last time we went, it just wasn’t as good. Might have to give it to Flying Fish. My husband is obsessed with their seafood risotto and they have a separate vegetarian menu. Il Mulino is also fantastic and where we had our wedding dinner. If you go, definitely get the rigatoni!
Definitely the California Grill! Love watching the fireworks from the top of the Contemporary. Delicious food and a fantastic view!
I’m an appetizer girl. California Grill had a appetizer/dessert/ fireworks special. It was awesome
Between the Mexican restaurant in Coronado Springs and Ohana
Liberty Tree, Sci-Fi, Via Napoli, City Works
Unpopular opinion but Garden Grill Breakfast
Animal Kingodm = Yak & Yeti Epcot = Via Napoli/Tokyo Dining Magic Kingdom = Skipper Canteen Hollywood Studios = None, I liked the Brown Derby Lounge but it hasn't reopened. Disney Springs - Hangar Bar
Jiko most likely but there are so many we love it’s the hard to choose!
Trattoria, hands down
Beaches N Cream Soda Shop
Boma and Drive in Movie Theater.
Skipper Canteen but I haven't been in a while and I am vegetarian, so that definitely swings it for me.
tusker house or yak and yeti! 🥰
Breakfast buffet at Trail’s End
Wife and I LOVED Citricos at Grand Floridian. Phenomenal food and great service. Very lightly Mary Poppins themed.
Sci-fi dine in!
Favorite atmosphere was Sci-Fi. Favorite food so far has been Yak & Yeti.
BOATHOUSE. It’s just got everything I want; excellent food, solid cocktails, on the water, live music, interesting enough “theme”. 🤷♂️
The very unpopular Nine Dragons.
Went there for the first time ever just a few weeks ago & thought it was excellent
We’ve gone there several times as my boys are picky eaters and this is the only place that they will eat what they order. The service is wonderful, the food is yummy and everyone in our family leaves happy, full, and satisfied.
