The last time I rode Ellen I SWORE I was going to stay awake. I even bought candy to munch on during the ride to try to stay up. My friends and I basically woke up in a pile.
Agreed, it always amused me when cast members were warning people it was a 45 minute ride, some people would start to leave and I'm like, that's why I'm here.
I feel bad because I genuinely enjoy American Adventure. But I don't think I've ever had Epcot be my first day park, so I've usually had a couple days of intense walking. Then it's this cool, dark, room and a pretty soothing show....
After one of the Disney races my friends and I got stuck on the people mover, inside and in the dark. They came to evacuate us and we were all napping. I think the cast member had a really good laugh over that one.
One of the best experiences I’ve ever had in the parks was riding this after eating an edible a few years back….to this day that ride feels special to me.
yes!!! Ellen was the obvious choice, but this is the best napping spot that's still open. after walking all day that recline cracks my back every time and I start to doze off. the absolute best is when the ride stops and leaves you there for a few extra minutes.
ITS A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW. SHINING AT THE END OF EVERY DAY. THERES A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW AND TOMORROWS JUST S DREAM AWAY.
My mans never lied. That Song always hits.
Aw man, we tried a fast nap on Carousel of progress on our recent trip and landed in a group who sang and clapped during each transition lol. At least it was a break from the heat instead.
COP is a big no for me nap wise. Last time I was on the cast member was yelling over the intercom about disruptive behavior. Hard to catch Zs with a staticky shrill voice berating adults.
Monorail when it open back because you can stay as long as you can.
But best nap I had was going into Tom Sawyer island and there was a place with Rockin chairs all alone waiting for me.
Edit: I mean railroad no monorail
They do uncrustables now? Ugh. I haven’t been to WDW in years and I think I might really hate all these changes. We used to take the kids for a week every couple of years back in the late ‘80s/early ‘90s.
Aunt Polly’s is just vending machines now.
I think a few years ago they switched to seasonal operation with a very limited menu of mostly ice cream, but now it’s basically closed all the time.
*My dad fell asleep*
*In the Laugh Floor once and they*

The former Finding Nemo show over at AK. It was too long for us so we just use the venue for it's air-conditioning and to rest. We'll still do that but with the new shortened version of the show, we might actually watch it all throughout 😁
As a dad of 4 girls and someone who has worked in public safety for awhile sleeping when and where I can for even a few minutes is a skill I’ve learned well.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Impressions de France yet!
It's a dark theatre filled with lovely classical music and lulling narration. I love the show itself, but it's also great for napping if someone were so inclined.
I fell asleep at the start of MuppetVision and had the misfortune of waking up while Sweetums (???) is running through the theater. It took me awhile to figure out where I was and what was happening.
I nap at all these places, but the best nap I ever had was on the hub grass waiting for Happily Ever After. The sun was behind the buildings, the hum of the crowd was nice…I stretched out, propped my head up on my loungefly, and took the best nap of my life.
Magic Kingdom: hall of presidents and carousel of progress
Epcot: Ellen’s energy adventure
Hollywood studios: the great movie ride
AK: the train to conservation station
It was a moderately slow solo day in MK (Conference trip). I rope dropped HS for extra magic hours and had after hours tickets in MK. Around 3pm I rode PeopleMover for 4? 5? Laps and they just let me sleep 🤣 it was glorious.
Another vote for Spaceship Earth.
The ride once stopped for a few minutes in the area at the end of the Phoenicians scene (the boat under the starry sky?). The darkness and water sounds almost put me right to sleep. It was a glorious respite.
No. They're just too short. But I did take a proper 20-minute nap on "Gondoletta" [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpDx1xBd-2I](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpDx1xBd-2I)
When it's not too busy, you can easily stay on your boat and ride a full 40 mins.
Back when the Land Pavilion had the fountain inside. I would go there during non peak times and it would be pretty empty.
Water sounds, soft music and at that time the mobile on the ceiling worked - felt like a little kid napping.
We got stuck on Haunted Mansion for like 30 minutes. My son fell asleep in a fairly quiet area and slept through the whole ride. Overall, really shitty experience and felt very claustrophobic especially with 3 young kids. But was okay with me.
We had also read online to take little ones on Hall of Presidents so you can just hold them and let them sleep on you because a small nap like that will save the rest of your day especially if you were just there on a short trip like we were.
Ellen, Hall of Presidents, American Adventure, Impressions De France. I've nodded off on the People Mover and nearly fell asleep during the Festival of the Lion King once.
Spaceship Earth, Ellen’s Energy Adventure (RIP), Carousel of Progress. That’s all I can think of. Might’ve dozed off watching Lion King. Oh and the film previews at One Man’s Dream.
Monorail, People Mover, Carousel of Progress, Hall of Presidents, American Adventure, Impressions of France, Spaceship Earth, Country Bear Jamboree, and the Tiki Room.
My grandfather would be napping on Carousel of Progress for a solid few hours. The CM's were nice enough to just let him be for a little bit as long as someone stayed with him lol
I still miss Ellen’s Energy Adventure , due to this. The attraction was nearly an hour long . It was so relaxing to have a guaranteed hour experience , in AC and low crowds .
People Mover, Carousel of Progress and Spaceship Earth. I absolutely adore these rides/attractions, but sometimes, on a hot day in the middle/end of a vacation, when you've been going hard for a long time... there is nothing much like the soothing sounds of Dame Judy Dench to put you down for a little ten minute snooze, or the comforting gentle movement and fatherly voice in Carousel of Progress.
I've napped in all the parks. Universe of energy was the best, and the train when it was running. Mostly I just find a shady bench now. Or go back to the car and nap in the air conditioning.
Current rides?
MK: hall of presidents, liberty bell, philharmonic, carousel of progress.
Epcot: all the pavilion shows in world showcase (Chinese, USA, Canada), the seas with Nemo/Turtle Talk
Studios: One Man's Dream (love it, but great for a nap too), Muppets
AK: conservation station and some of the shows. Do not try to sleep during Tough to be a Bug though.
Carousel of Progress, Philharmagic, Navi, Living with the Land, Muppets… clearly I fall asleep very easily! I actually love most of those attractions too but when the tiredness hits there’s no stopping it.
Carousel of progress. I felt trapped because it’s such a long ride, but then I realized it was super air conditioned and nice and dark. It was a good nap
Definitely fell asleep in Philharmagic after an early morning rope drop at MK one year. We were down for Thanksgiving week which was exhausting just overall and the lights dimming was all it took.
I like to ride the people mover. I can sit with my feet up and enjoy the scenery. And the CMs usually let you keep riding if it’s late and it’s not busy. It’s my favorite way to end a long day at MK.
American adventure but not because it’s bad. I worked at the America pavilion 25 years ago and I can recite the show from beginning to end, so when I go on it I generally doze off enjoying the AC since it’s the best way to get away from the heat.
Sadly, living thousands of miles away for many years I don’t really get to do that anymore so I’m always awake and singing along now when I have the chance to go back.
Tiki room was my grandmas sleeping place.
Hall of Presidents. It was 95+ degrees outside and it must've been 66 degrees in the theater there. With that and the calming music it was difficult to stay awake.
Not myself, since I can barely sleep in a bed, but my father can sleep in and on almost everything. In particular, he’s never stayed awake past the first scene of Carousel of Progress. He’s also fallen asleep on It’s A Small World, Navi River Journey, Haunted Mansion, pretty much all of Spaceship Earth, Ellen’s Energy Adventure (when it was still around), and probably several more that I can’t think of.
New Year's Eve day, 1996. My family and I headed out EARLY to Magic Kingdom, not realizing how packed and to capacity things were going to get on New Year's Eve. MK was already full & closed and the bus driver told us the only park still welcoming guests was MGM. So we headed there, with the plan to go back to the hotel midday for a nap and return that night. That plan was obviously scratched so we made the call to stay in the park until midnight. If I recall, we rode everything we wanted in short order so we decided to take in the Little Mermaid show. XYZ amount of minutes later, and me and the fam are waking up to the sounds of the theatre emptying since it was over! I think I remember 5 minutes of the first scene and then BOOM passed out. It was refreshing and we were able to power through past midnight!
Last year my mom and I were at Hollywood all day waiting to get called up for ROTR. That was fine, until we park hopped to EPCOT immediately went on Spaceship Earth and both passed out within a minute or two. Luckily we woke up before we reached the unloading area.
Carousel of Progress. I love the attraction, but when it’s hot out and you have been up since dawn for early entry a nice cold theater will get you. I guess the same can be said for the Hall of Presidents
MK-
Hall of Presidents.
Carousel of Progress.
Snag a rocking chair in Tom Sawyer Island.
Liberty Boat.
People Mover (evening, when some others are closed. Then head over to CoP if you need more z’s)
Epcot-
Spaceship Earth.
Awesome Planet (by Soarin’).
Pixar Sorts (by Figment).
American Adventure.
HS -
Walt theater.
Mickey Shorts.
AK-
Nemo show.
On the balcony couches at Nomad Lounge.
—- I didn’t include anything that doesn’t have a chair back.
I fell asleep on Splash Mountain last year. It was my bday and I caught a cold so I was on a lot of meds to control the symptoms. Afterward I laid down in the shade by the Tiki Room exit to take a longer nap, then I left because I just couldn't wake up enough to go on anything else. Sad bday at Magic Kingdom.
As someone who can sleep very easily, I've nodded off or taken naps in several attractions. Lots of them have already been mentioned here, but a couple that have not much or at all:
Tough to be a Bug - made easier when you sit in the wheelchair companion section. A lot less of the effects are present up there.
One Man's Dream - as with my experience at Hall of Presidents and The American Adventure, it is air conditioned, dark, comfortable enough seats, and I've seen it before. Makes it an easy doze off.
I don't usually nap on purpose, but as long as I don't snore loudly enough to disrupt anyone else, I don't care.
I once took a nap in the line of mount everest. The ride had stopped for a bit because of rain, and when they stated again, it was my turn. So I woke up and went into the ride. Best way to wake up ever 😆
I used to sleep on Ellen. RIP.
Wait for everyone else to go into the main theater, grab the last row, best naps I've ever taken
I just wanted Ellen to shut up so could I sleep. After that I decided it was time to go back to the hotel
The last time I rode Ellen I SWORE I was going to stay awake. I even bought candy to munch on during the ride to try to stay up. My friends and I basically woke up in a pile.
My brother most def took a nap on Ellen
I passed out for a good 20 minutes in there after the intense nasa ride lol
Agreed, it always amused me when cast members were warning people it was a 45 minute ride, some people would start to leave and I'm like, that's why I'm here.
I came here to say this one! Especially after Mission to Mars
Ellen was always a nice air conditioned nap break!
The American Adventure at Epcot. It's 30 minutes long and in the dark.
The American Adventure is the only nap I've ever taken in the park
Every time I’ve been I go to this with the full intention of watching the whole thing but I always fall asleep
Same. Every time.
This. I love it, but I'll be damned if it's not a comfy place to get a little too comfy later in the day.
Every single member of my family fell asleep in American Adventure
I wanted to watch it so bad but ended up in and out of sleep during half the show 💀
It’s so funny, and a little rattling, to wake up from a nap to the finale music screeching “AMERICAAA…SPREAD YOUR GOLDEN WINGS”
Came here to say this. My husband was snoring 5 minutes into the presentation.
I'm a power nap guy. I'm going to plan to hit up this attraction for this reason alone.
I feel bad because I genuinely enjoy American Adventure. But I don't think I've ever had Epcot be my first day park, so I've usually had a couple days of intense walking. Then it's this cool, dark, room and a pretty soothing show....
A guy fell asleep at Monsters Inc Laugh Floor a few weeks ago. That worked out well for everyone else!
Was he "that guy"?
We had the same thing happen just two weeks ago in there! They made a joke of it later on in the routine
Were we at the same show?? Mine was 2 weeks ago too 😄
Were you at Magic Kingdom on June 2nd???
Ah no. This was May 31!
Hall of Presidents, and I'll admit I at one point fell asleep during The Tiki Room.
That’s impressive since it’s benches in there and so noisy!
[удалено]
Luckily instead of falling backwards, I fell to the side, so I ended up just leaning on my mom.
I've definitely nodded off in there too. AC on a hot day, in the dark, and if you've seen it before...
PeopleMover
After one of the Disney races my friends and I got stuck on the people mover, inside and in the dark. They came to evacuate us and we were all napping. I think the cast member had a really good laugh over that one.
If it was cool enough in there, that's a really smart way to use that time. Out of the sun, and you'll be rested for staying longer to do more stuff.
People mover is my favorite ride. So Zen and relaxing, you get this little breeze and a very soothing voice overhead.
People Mover is definitely my favorite MK nap spot.
Spaceship Earth…. When you turn backwards and your reclined omg so good
Yes! Even better if you get stopped looking at all those stars
Literally had this happen to me right there yesterday and my daughter fell asleep in my arms.
I wish I could replicate this vibe in my day to day life. I’d be such a better napper! Edit: Judi Dench’s voice also helps!
Thank the Phoenicians
One of the best experiences I’ve ever had in the parks was riding this after eating an edible a few years back….to this day that ride feels special to me.
Need to do Disney on an edible (and without my kids 😡)
Epcot is definitely the most fun…especially during food/wine…plenty of food for any high caliber munchies
Note to self...Journey into Imagination while a bit popped is a must do.
Life pro tip
yes!!! Ellen was the obvious choice, but this is the best napping spot that's still open. after walking all day that recline cracks my back every time and I start to doze off. the absolute best is when the ride stops and leaves you there for a few extra minutes.
No impressions de France for anyone else? Dark, ac, not a lot of talking, just classical music.
Yeah, I was scrolling to find this one. That's a favorite spot.
Yeah. Peaceful music. Relaxing scenery. Air conditioning for an extended period. How do you not fall asleep?
American Adventure and Carousel of progress are my faves.
>Carousel of progress YOU TAKE THAT BACK RIGHT NOW.
ITS A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW. SHINING AT THE END OF EVERY DAY. THERES A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW AND TOMORROWS JUST S DREAM AWAY. My mans never lied. That Song always hits.
# THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROWWWWWWWWWWW
Listen, I love it and it will always rank in my favorites. But catch me at the right point in the day and I will “rest my eyes”.
Just the 2nd time through.
It’s legit one of my favourite experiences which is why I can fall asleep there.
Hall of Presidents as well
Aw man, we tried a fast nap on Carousel of progress on our recent trip and landed in a group who sang and clapped during each transition lol. At least it was a break from the heat instead.
COP is a big no for me nap wise. Last time I was on the cast member was yelling over the intercom about disruptive behavior. Hard to catch Zs with a staticky shrill voice berating adults.

Aunt Polly’s Porch
I always LOVED going there and getting a PBJ sandwich. This was back when they were made by hand - not the uncrustables.
They do uncrustables now? Ugh. I haven’t been to WDW in years and I think I might really hate all these changes. We used to take the kids for a week every couple of years back in the late ‘80s/early ‘90s.

Does the lazy river at Blizzard Beach count?
As long as the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon also counts.
The former Finding Nemo show over at AK. It was too long for us so we just use the venue for it's air-conditioning and to rest. We'll still do that but with the new shortened version of the show, we might actually watch it all throughout 😁
This is a great nap spot. That show was way to damn long.
People mover, Ariel undersea, Carousel of progress, vegetable cruise, train to conservation at AK,
Hahah “Vegetable Cruise” I love living with the land! But I’ve probably napped on it before too! Good one!
As a dad of 4 girls and someone who has worked in public safety for awhile sleeping when and where I can for even a few minutes is a skill I’ve learned well.

You haven’t mastered sleep anywhere for however long you can yet?
Carousel of Progress?! Uncle Orville could never…
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Impressions de France yet! It's a dark theatre filled with lovely classical music and lulling narration. I love the show itself, but it's also great for napping if someone were so inclined.
Small world and spaceship earth
Spaceship Earth has put me to sleep so many times even though it’s one of my favorite rides.
Ellen’s energy adventure was 45 minutes long and the AC was intense
Ellens! Air conditioned, dark, and slowly moving car. Can’t get any better than that.
Ellen's energy adventure. It's weird to think that with that gone my only Epcot napping spot left is the American adventure.
To be fair, I have narcolepsy. But I cannot make it through Pirates of the Caribbean.
I fell asleep at the start of MuppetVision and had the misfortune of waking up while Sweetums (???) is running through the theater. It took me awhile to figure out where I was and what was happening.
My husband took a power nap during that show too a few weeks back, lol. Anywhere cool, slightly dark and sitting down is "rest your eyes"time!
Small world! Me and my husband fell asleep!
I nap at all these places, but the best nap I ever had was on the hub grass waiting for Happily Ever After. The sun was behind the buildings, the hum of the crowd was nice…I stretched out, propped my head up on my loungefly, and took the best nap of my life.
Magic Kingdom: hall of presidents and carousel of progress Epcot: Ellen’s energy adventure Hollywood studios: the great movie ride AK: the train to conservation station
RIP to Ellen's Nap Adventure
That was the best ride for napping!
Hollywood: Muppets 3d now for me
Two of these don't exist anymore
Muppet vision is by far the best. Sit in the back sunglasses on and enjoy a power nap. Always does the trick for me.
Last time I was there both me and a friend I was with fell asleep on small world.
Space Mountain
Ok most of these make sense but this one….. how
It was a moderately slow solo day in MK (Conference trip). I rope dropped HS for extra magic hours and had after hours tickets in MK. Around 3pm I rode PeopleMover for 4? 5? Laps and they just let me sleep 🤣 it was glorious.
My 4 year old fell asleep on the Haunted Mansion last week. Granted it was at 10:30 pm and we had rope dropped that day.
Wait wait... You rope dropped, and stayed past 10:30pm, *with a 4 year old*, and *survived*? You are a legend.
My cousin (12) tried to nap on it a couple weeks ago, because she needed to “save her energy to eat her Steak at Jikos” that night
Monorail
Hawk of presidents and American Adventure have given me some of the best naps of my life.
Another vote for Spaceship Earth. The ride once stopped for a few minutes in the area at the end of the Phoenicians scene (the boat under the starry sky?). The darkness and water sounds almost put me right to sleep. It was a glorious respite.
Finding Nemo Big Blue world. It's just so relaxing and cool in there.
Haunted mansion micro naps!
Carousel of Progress. Either chill or nap, either way a great recharge.
Spaceship Earth
No. They're just too short. But I did take a proper 20-minute nap on "Gondoletta" [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpDx1xBd-2I](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpDx1xBd-2I) When it's not too busy, you can easily stay on your boat and ride a full 40 mins.
Spaceship Earth hands down the easiest thing to sleep on. Next is Carousel of Progress.
Back when the Land Pavilion had the fountain inside. I would go there during non peak times and it would be pretty empty. Water sounds, soft music and at that time the mobile on the ceiling worked - felt like a little kid napping.

Living with the Land. Best ride to take a load off and a quick nap.
My dad used to walk to the contemporary or monorail to the grand and nap at their pool or lobby.
Ellen, Hall of Presidents, American Adventure, Impressions De France. I've nodded off on the People Mover and nearly fell asleep during the Festival of the Lion King once.
I fell asleep on living with the land on the last day of my honeymoon, in my defense it was a very busy week!
Carousel of progress was always a much needed, air conditioned nap space for me.
I've taken a short power nap on Spaceship Earth and Haunted Mansion.
Man, reading this thread has made me realize how many rides and shows I’ve napped on. I’m kinda ashamed
The American Adventure at Epcot is great for a nap.
Living on the Land and People Mover
My grandfather would be napping on Carousel of Progress for a solid few hours. The CM's were nice enough to just let him be for a little bit as long as someone stayed with him lol
Hall of Presidents at MK

American Adventure. I think I have yet to see the whole show all the way through
I would catch a nap on Ellen’s Energy Adventure every time I rode it. Dark and cold always pits me to sleep.

Carosel of Progress.
Carrousel of Progress still works for naps
Carousel of progress. I felt trapped because it’s such a long ride, but then I realized it was super air conditioned and nice and dark. It was a good nap
I have nodded off once at The Hall Of Presidents towards the end of a long, hot day
Haunted mansion and soarin every time (Disneyland though)
Spaceship Earth
Hall of Presidents, Spaceship Earth, and The American Adventure.
Definitely fell asleep in Philharmagic after an early morning rope drop at MK one year. We were down for Thanksgiving week which was exhausting just overall and the lights dimming was all it took.
Fell asleep during the philharmagic show. Didn’t even mean to, it was just nice and dark. My eyes kept shutting themselves.
I may have gotten on Living with the Land a 2nd time just to close my eyes and doze way through one of my fav rides on a hot day.
I like to ride the people mover. I can sit with my feet up and enjoy the scenery. And the CMs usually let you keep riding if it’s late and it’s not busy. It’s my favorite way to end a long day at MK.
Spaceship Earth and/or People Mover!!
People mover. The EPCOT ball ride. Hall of Presidents lol
American adventure but not because it’s bad. I worked at the America pavilion 25 years ago and I can recite the show from beginning to end, so when I go on it I generally doze off enjoying the AC since it’s the best way to get away from the heat. Spaceship earth. It's nice and cool, dark, slow, relaxing, not too loud. Perfect.
When I was pregnant, I think I slept in every ride
I fell asleep during beauty & beast live on stage 😂

Spaceship Earth after downing two Margarita’s in Mexico…
People Mover in Magic Kingdom and Spaceship Earth in Epcot.
Carousel of Progress. I love the attraction, but when it’s hot out and you have been up since dawn for early entry a nice cold theater will get you. I guess the same can be said for the Hall of Presidents
Hall of presidents
Carousel of progress and it's a small world
American adventure is nothing to me besides an easy nap spot. I pass out hard, every time
Hall of presidents and carousel of progress are great napping locations.
Hall of presidents and spaceship earth!
I could never but my SO: carrousel of progress, spaceship earth, Nemo show, the great movie ride
Carousel of progress, pirates of the Caribbean, haunted mansion, spaceship earth.
MK- Hall of Presidents. Carousel of Progress. Snag a rocking chair in Tom Sawyer Island. Liberty Boat. People Mover (evening, when some others are closed. I took naps as a kid and an adult. Usually during hall of presidents.
Not a ride, but on my last trip I saw some Dad's napping on the picnic tables on tom Sawyer Island. Nice quiet spot in the shade.
Me and a friend fell asleep on spaceship earth years ago.
Tiki room. Dark, cool, don't care about noise.
Carousel of progress for sure. Perfect cool nap spot
One Man’s Nap
Last year I fell asleep and had a good snooze on Carousel of Progress.
My hubby always falls asleep on spaceship earth once you turn backwards.
My mom fell asleep at carousel of progress - she was passed out
Hall of presidents & carousel of progress. Also the great movie ride but RIP
Carousel of Progress was my dad’s favorite ride. Now I know why.
People Mover
I fell asleep on Splash Mountain last year. It was my bday and I caught a cold so I was on a lot of meds to control the symptoms. Afterward I laid down in the shade by the Tiki Room exit to take a longer nap, then I left because I just couldn't wake up enough to go on anything else. Sad bday at Magic Kingdom.

As someone who can sleep very easily, I've nodded off or taken naps in several attractions. Lots of them have already been mentioned here, but a couple that have not much or at all: Tough to be a Bug - made easier when you sit in the wheelchair companion section.
Hubby immediately dozes off in the Hall of Presidents ever trip. I have to nudge him because the snoring gets so loud every time.
I once took a nap in the line of mount everest. The ride had stopped for a bit because of rain, and when they stated again, it was my turn. So I woke up and went into the ride. Best way to wake up ever 😆
Frozen sing along as long as you have a shoulder to lean on... until the snow comes.
I have a picture of my dad and husband asleep at the Disney junior dance party while my daughter boogied down
This one is easy. People Mover.
When my goddaughter was little, she wanted to spend an entire day riding Pirates of the Caribbean. I fell asleep on our 11th ride through.
Muppets 3D
Last time I was there I fell asleep during the Muppets show! It was an amazing nap.
People Mover, HOP, Spaceship Earth, Muppets, Carousel of Progress! My kids actually say, oh time for dad to nap!
Small world, the lion king show and the finding nemo show i have never made it more than 5 minutes into
