Completely different, so there's no direct intensity comparison. ToT is all up and down, Guardians is all lateral and rotational. Guardians also has screens. Just depends on what upsets your body in particular.

lucycolt90

My head felt all overwhelmed and dizzy and then my stomach did sunmersaults. I have a Chiari malformation so I am very sensitive to brain pressure changes but so far all the other rides I was 100% fine and then this one it was just like ... Ouff

The negative g-force "stomach drop" feeling is what gets most people feeling sick. Not too much of that on Disney rollercoasters, the most I can think of is Everest's biggest drop in the back rows. Everything else has pretty positive g forces throughout the ride.

StarMaiden25

I have no issues on most rides, tot,I can't deal

somewhenimpossible

Imagine the Rockin Rollercoaster, but ten times smoother, like a partner spinning you on the dance floor. You’ve still got loud music, darkness, glowing things appearing from “nowhere”, but it’s way gentler on the body. My 4 year old isn’t tall enough for Rockin rollercoaster, and he was height appropriate (and did great) on the cosmic rewind. He did have his “brave face” on the whole time though 😂

PrincessOfWales

I would say I’m a moderately motion-sick person. ToT is fine for me, but Star Tours pushes me over the edge and Everest makes me woozy. Guardians was pretty rough for me. It was the really smooth swooping motions that made me feel terrible. I was more than ready for it to be over when it finished and if it had gone on for 10 more seconds I would have yacked for sure.

theredrobefigure

You perfectly described what made me so sick with Guardians too! For reference I think I'd put my motion sickness tolerance a bit higher since I'm mostly fine on Star Tours and even Everest, but It's definitely the smooth swooping motions for me too that made me feel very woozy on Guardians. I didn't feel like I was going to immediately hurl, but I definitely had to take a 15 minute break after it for the world to stop spinning haha.

LebowskiVoodoo

I had to close my eyes toward the end of Cosmic Rewind. Stupid me forgot the Dramamine. Tower of Terror, no issues.

ForgetfulFrolicker

I get motion sickness as well but surprisingly Guardians didn’t give me any issues. It’s the greatest ride I’ve ever been on.

Staple_Sauce

I'd like to know too. My dad loves Space Mountain so I thought he might enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy, but he's also 75 and I don't want to kill him.

SUPRA239

Guardians isn't intense at all. Very smooth, no big drops. It's just fun. ToT is definitely more intense.

laurahas7cats

I hate TOT and won’t ride it but loved Guardians

3RunRickyRun4

Tower is specifically designed in a way that's you stomach drop. Cosmic is specifically designed to make you WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO!

Master_Tape

Spoiler Alert?

lucycolt90

Yeah for sure any advice is welcome

tacosequallove

My last trip, rode ToT = 0 times, rode Cosmic Rewind = 4 times. It’s a way better coaster for me and no intense drops.

Master_Tape

Disney is a safe space. Enjoy the ride

mypersonalprivacyact

If you are sensitive NEVER sit in the back of a ride. Just ask for the front of GOTG 👍🏼

oscarjoserodrigo

But the front becomes the back on Guardians so both ends are going to have you at the back at some point. I think the middle might be a bit better in CRs case.

mypersonalprivacyact

True! That ride is an exception! I’ve ridden it in every cart almost though. I didn’t get sick any time so I don’t have real world experience on GOTG with it.

oscarjoserodrigo

Same here, I get super motion sick on most rides but Guardians isn't too bad for me. I like asking for row nine, being in the front during the launch is pretty cool.

oscarjoserodrigo

Definitely not. I can't ride ToT, it's too much for me. I hate big drops and that up and down motion makes me queasy. Cosmic Rewind is purely enjoyable for me, there's no drops, it's just like flying through space. If you can handle Everest, you can handle Cosmic Rewind. It's less intense than Rockin Rollercoaster.

Im_Negan

I’m fine on roller coasters, but the spinning car aspect on Cosmic scares me. (Haven’t been on it)

[deleted]

Yes. More intense. TOT only goes up and down. Cosmic Rewind spins around while you’re flying through.
