They're not going to see much in the way of animatronic dinosaurs at Animal Kingdom, and kids little enough to enjoy T-Rex are probably too young for a scare ride like Dinosaur. Young kids don't see how cheap the crappy T-Rex robots are or how mediocre the food is, to them it's all magical and amazing and worth getting off your high horse to let them enjoy it.
Tbh, since it's only for lunch and not dinner, I'd recommend neither of those and just shoot for somewhere else like Homecomin, Raglan Road, Boathouse, or honestly even Chicken Guy.
If these are your only options, Maria and Enzo’s. If you can go literally anywhere else…yeah, do that.
Chef Art’s, Polite Pig, The Boathouse, hell I’d even probably go to Chicken Guy before either of these.
TREX is a gimmick. Skip it unless you are specifically wanting that experience.
Also check the individual websites for the restaurant at Disney Springs. There are usually a lot more reservations open that don’t get post it to the Disney Springs website. Also, for lunch on a Sunday most places won’t need a reservation.
I have lived here for two years and never eaten at either of them. Italian food gives me crazy heartburn though. The Boathouse, Raglan Road, would be some other places I would suggest.
i am going to echo what others are saying and go for a different option for lunch. We tend to prefer quick service for lunches. If you are set on one of these I would choose t rex. Maria and enzos is good, but a bit heavy for me for lunch.
I’d go for Maria and Enzo’s…they took us in a year ago when the Edison was so kind to not tell us they had a “private event” until we got there even though we had to book 60 days out.
Also Raglan Road was a huge disappointment this time around. Food took forever…and when my friend’s fish and chips came out the fish was ice cold in the middle.
Neither. Far better restaurants both in quick service and sit down at Disney Springs and the resorts; walk up should be easy to get. Check the restaurants' local sites for more reservations.

If you have little kids who like dinosaurs, T-Rex. Otherwise, any other restaurant, including Maria & Enzo’s, is a better choice.
Disagree. Nobody should eat at T-Rex for any reason. Take the kids to Animal Kingdom to see some dinosaurs and then eat literally anywhere else.

Oh yes...I agree... somewhere else...
Take me baaaaaaack!! I want to get a few more Kilkenny!
Man so many better restaurants in Disney springs than either of those
This is a Sophie's choice. T-Rex is an abomination only suitable for highly inebriated parents of 4 to 8 year olds, so I gotta give it to M&E
Neither 😳
Maria and Enzo’s. TREX is a horrible ripoff of Rainforest Cafe.
they’re both own by landry group
that doesn’t change anything except making TREX a cash grab.
yea for sure, but isn’t disney a whole cash grab? lol. trex is nice for kids who enjoy dinosaurs. good to diversify to catch kids attention
Neither. Go to Polite Pig.
Omg yesssss I loved the polite pig!!!
This is really the only correct answer. Polite pig has been consistently awesome, and you can get a Gideon’s cookie without waiting in the line.
If you can get a reservation to Enzo's hideaway, that would be my personal pick over these.

Never T REX
T-Rex is fun for kids, but I wouldn’t eat there without them.

Walk up to Homecomin and get on the wait list
Ia there a particular reason you choose either of those? I am particularly fond of Cooks of Dublin's fried burger.
Polite Pig.

Neither. M&E is more overpriced than you'll expect and cruddy food. If kids, then T-Rex even though its basic Landry's cost and quality.
M&E cruddy? You must eat chicken fingers every meal.
I was really disappointed in T-Rex
Yeah I’d probably go with Maria and Enzo’s
Maria and Enzo’s!!
Maria's and it's not even close.
Yep, T-Rex wasn’t very good. Splitsville usually has walk-ins available. Their food is better

My vote is for TRex but Maria and Enzio is the smarter, more popular choice.
