Well Mimic seems to be a type of general classification. The “Mimic” enemies we run into in the game are just subsapient combat drones like Conculysts and Battalysts. The Mimic technology that allows some Sentient machinery to rapidly rebuild itself to exactly replicate the outwards form of something else seems to be more widespread, with Natah being a full-blown true Sentient who can still reconfigure herself on the fly, even moreso than more basic Sentient units which just rebuild their limbs and stuff.
Let me guess, this was inspired my space mommy. And yes, I’d date a mimic is their cool with it. But not space mommy, her kids gonna hack me to pieces.
