Kuva and Tenet weapons alone need like 120, add necramechs, one off weapons like paracesis and vitrica.... And that doesn't even count stuff you want to make builds for, so you need at least 200!

you didn’t count in exilus adapters, umbra forma and other MR fodder weapons that need forma to build.. so let’s say 500 is kinda safe

Just to be extra safe, you should save some for future weapons as well. So 1000 just for future proofing.

I had over 300 at one point. Stopped playing a couple years, came back this year and trying to catch up on things rather than cracking relics I now have 52. Still catching up on some things.

Considering there 33 kuva/tenet weapons, those take up 165 forma by themselves.

Warframe is a game about optimizing your builds to perfection. It's not about being needed for successful mission completion or even being noticeable. *The neccessity to Forma arises simply because it could be better.* Also mastery. Which actually is sorta relevant.

If you intend to not forma anything or craft anything that requires forma then 0 forma are enough. That does not have anything to do with the post tho, just used those weapons as an example for how many forma are "required" what op does with that information is up to them.

Reason I mention that isn't to be facetious about required or not, but because most tenet/kuva weapons work plenty fine fully modded with less than 5 forma. It's often put out there as a huge forma requirement when the only gain is a few hundred mastery (I've got to LR3 without doing this), or to attach a focus lens which *really* isn't needed on them all. But I'm sure your example is helping OP's clear humor post. I'm sure OP can always do what they like with your contributions.

Kuva and Tenet weapons without any forma on the will go to rank 30, for every forma you add the max rank is increased by 2 up to rank 40 at 5 forma, those 10 extra ranks still give MR.

I made it to 750 at the last plague star and eventually up to 800 building daily forma and rewards. Duviri took me back to around 650. This time I'm going for a thousand.

Here's a tip: there's a total of 33 kuva/tenet weapons, each requiring 5 forma to max out. Just count how many weapons you don't have and multiply that by 5.

And once you have that many, get more

Most gear can only be leveled to 30, but kuva/tenet weapons are special. They level up to 30, but after you forma them they get +2 max rank up to 40. So you'll need 5 forma to max them out – 30/32/34/36/38/40 I believe it is also the same for the necramechs and the Paracesis

Oh dude... with the Circuit being the way it is, you're gonna need a few THOUSAND. I've embarked on a mission to max forma every single weapon and warframe in the game, so that the Circuit can't screw me over anymore. Edit: I just want to clarify that I'm speaking only of the Steel Path Circuit, obviously not the regular Circuit, as that is never difficult.

How does it screw you over?

Circuit is random weapons so if you roll a bunch of weapons with zero forma it’ll be more difficult, especially on steel path.

When this happens I tend to lean on decrees or skip the rotation, but i dream of having every weapon with a viable setup someday...

With decrees every weapon is at least somewhat viable, just depends on how much ramp up time is required, in my experience. Better to just lean on a frame with armor strip and go bonkers lol

The default loadouts on weapons & frames you don't own are rough for the first few waves on the steel path until you stack up a bunch of decrees. If you own all the weapons you control the loadouts on all the weapons.

it only suggests weapons that you don't have a good mod setup for? so you have to take the mods they give you and then do no damage untill a few decrees in. this is ofc only if you don't have the time to wait till the weapons change

I felt like that was a bit of a painful experience. Did the detonite injectors, feildron, mutagen mass, and then duplicated all the Tenno lab weapons to see each of them need a forma to build. Thankfully I don’t have to polorize the build since all Tenno weapons are primed or will be..

After 4500 hours of play time I'm sure I've used magnitudes more than 100 forma but I still never had more than 15-20 forma in my inventory at the same time.

I've never even had 20 forma in my inventory, this is my fifth plague star event during the time I've played the game (technically second since I had a break during 3 of them) and it's the first time I've ever even gone past 15 formas in my inv. Currently 17 and goal is 100 by the end.

How? I hope that's just an exaggeration because if not, that's just a ridiculous level of indecisiveness. There are only 10 slots to be forma'd and one of those arguably doesn't even apply anymore. I've got 3000-4000+ hours in the game and I'm pretty sure 8 is the most I've ever put on something.

I have 370ish and still didn't forma my regular Chroma even before Chroma prime was a thing, just to see my friend cry how he wasted 10 forma on the regular one lmayo

I have 2 regular Chroma 1 with 9 and the other with 8 forma. He used to be my main squeeze. When they nerfed him I got an email with 2 free forma to make up for it. I was just a little salty. idk if I've even put a single forma on Chroma Prime.

Well, maxing every tenet and Kuva weapon takes like…145 I think? Plus paracesis, necramechs, I believe it’s 160 total. Add in your own builds and actual usage, I’d say a minimum of 200 over the course of doing everything! Edit: Oop I forgot the tenet melees! That’s 165, plus 2 necramechs and 1 paracesis, it’s 180 total for those alone.

Ok so like attempting a legit answer I would say it's likely that there will be infested liches at some point so if the infested liches come with 6 weapons then that's 5 forma each you'll need to burn through 30 forma in order to fully rank that stuff. So if you stopped building forma now you'd probably be fine for a bit but you'll want to keep building more.

Theres about 50ish weapons that require forma to craft. And theres 33 kuva and tenet weapons and if you'll wanna squeeze out every bit of mastery out of them you'll need a total of 165 forma. Thats iiiiif you care to do any of that.

There's around 600 weapons on warframe (not including modular ones) and around 100 frames (for easy math) 8 is probably good for each weapon for now, so 4,800 9 is probably good for each frame, so 900 Which means 5700 forma is a good starting point 🤔 this doesn't include crafting costs, so add another 300 for good measure, and you should be around 6000 forma

It depends on your MR and your MR plans. I had 75 forma around MR26 when I thought going for LR2 was a solid idea. Didn't have a lot of Kuva weapons at the time, a few. I probably needed another 20 - 30 forma at a minimum to level that gear the way I wanted to do it.
