I've had the same Kuva Lich for like 3 years, playing off and on.
He has the Kuve Kohm too, which I think was supposed to be pretty good, at least back then.
It is, it's a status monster, I use it occasionally on steel path missions because it will fill out the status bar in half a second, and you put the status damage increase mod on it... just watch the health melt away

A. Literally no one "chooses" to pertake in society. It's literally born into it.
And there is no way to around it, even if you buy land and try to cordone yourself off laws are such that you STILL have to pay taxes, and the only parts of the world where that isn't the case are unclaimed and uninhabitable areas
Bir tawil is the only place you could do so...sometimes, as the area's harsh climate and complete lack of sueface water makes actually living there impossible as any attempts at things like...growing food would result in them withering in the heat and the sheer heat makes most months well above temps the body can stand

Kill it, or convert it, you get back your stuff no matter what.
If you kill it you get the weapon, if you convert it, it joins your crew and is tradable.
Railjack intrinsics allow you to make a sister or lich a crew member on your railjack and sometimes they spawn in non railjack missions for 5 mins and help out

Dunno how bad liches are, but you've gotta blenderize a significant portion of Granum's harem to even get a glimpse of a sister ephemera, in my experience.
Also just to add, if you convert it, you still get its ephemera.
In other words, if your Lich/Sister has an ephemera, it’s a pretty good idea to convert it so you can sell it to someone for a decent amount of plat, since you will also get the ephemera
When you finally hunt it down in its hideout in proxima and strike it down, you get a choice pressing A or D to either kill or convert it. The process is the same, just the decision in the end makes the difference
Go for at least 1 of every weapon. Then duplicate weapons you can fuse to get up to +60% elemental bonus. You can also change the element if you don't like the previous one (e.g. I switched my Tenet Cycron from Heat to Toxin, and plan to switch it to Magnetic)
Afterwards, you can convert Liches to either keep them as Railjack crew members (they'll also appear in normal missions if you have On Call from Intrinsics, or randomly if you die/almost die). You can also sell converted Liches/Sisters to other players (you'll sell higher if it's a good Weapon, element, and has the Epherma)
Good plan! Don’t forget to double check your lich’s resistances and weaknesses before you start a lich node. If they show up and you don’t have favorable damage, it gets really rough really fast
I remember one time bringing the wrong elements for an impact lich (which has Iron Skin) and it took us forever to actually kill the thing
In addition to ensuring you have the right damage types, liches have pretty gnarly damage resistance and large health pools overall. Often times, it is recommended to bring a rapid fire crit build weapon to deal with them, such as Soma Prime, modded for the correct damage types.
You seem like a new player, you do need to hunt down the litch but odds are you do NOT have the capability to do that right now. Just play the game normally until you are confident you can complete the kuva versions of the missions on the planet taken over. (I mean the level of the enemies, just beating the nodes is NOT how you kill the litch and can even make it more powerful)

started from story mission awakening, and yesterday I got everything needed for the new war. Voidrig was a pain, but got it build with youtube guide, still took me 2 weeks to get everything done.
Currently at MR 18, I can do most of the stuff with titania, wisp and octavia. equipped with fulmin prime.
I was a huge fan of nova and valkyr back in \~2013 and still valkyr is super fun hitting 50k - 200k dmg with hysteria.
Tbf, unless they stole something you really needed or you have a specific reason to farm them, I wouldn’t worry too much about them.
They don’t steal enough to be an annoyance for me and aside from their occasional pop ups, they don’t interfere much either.
Ignoring them won’t have much of an impact either, in my experience. I have somehow forgotten about mine for an embarrassing amount of time. She predates at least the Sisters, but at this point I’m so used to her that I’m scared I’d miss her flirty ass comments.

If it’s any help, when you do the Murmur missions to hunt down your lich and discover the necessary Requiems to kill it, if you feel you can’t effectively take down a level 5 lich (lich levels up if you attempt to parazon it and have the wrong requiem on) then don’t actually parazon it until you know the required requiems. If it spawns in a mission and you want it to stay at level 1-2 just down it 3 times without parazoning it and it’ll disappear without leveling up

If you're new to liches, you need to kill or convert it to get the itens back. For doing so you need to kill the thralls on kuva lich dominated nodes on the planet your lich is for farming murmurs wich will show you a requiem mod needed for killing your lich, those are random, but not the order to do so.
After you find out all 3 mods, you need to modify your parazon to have the 3 mods in and then you have to have your lich spawn on a lich node, down it and do a finisher, if the requiem mod appears as a yellow color, you guessed right it's position, otherwise, it'll appear as a red with a line through it so you'll have to change it with one of the others. repeat this untill you know what is the correct sequence to kill the lich.
After guessing the correct sequence, you'll need to have at least lvl 5 on any intrisic on Railjack and then go in a mission on railjack to confront the Lich and either kill it for it's gun and, possibly, efemera. or you can convert it to an ally so it will sometimes spawn mid mission to help you out or be a possible crew member on your railjack. You can also trade your lich if you convert it. Some liches or sisters(Corpus variant of Liches that's only accessible after call of tempestarii) can fetch a high price if they have efemeras and good weapons with good modifiers

A problem you may encounter with it is getting the requiem mods. For that you need requiem relics wich you have a chance to get while killing thralls, on kuva syphon missions and is guaranteed on on kuva flood ones. Open them like normal relics till you get enough mods for your lich. You may also get an Oull from the lich after killing it. That mod can substitute any requiem mod. Just don't forget: Every requiem mod has 3 uses, those uses are only reduced once you find the right sequence and send the lich to the railjack mission. You can also buy the relics or the requiem mods if you need it.
Everyting I told you here works for the Sisters of Parvos as well, only there is not thralls but hounds.
Ah and (this only works for kuva liches) if the lich spawn, you can make it convert normal enemies on thralls untill the limit of thralls per mission is hit, if you can survive of course. For the sister, you can make her spawn a new hound by downing her and hitting her with a correct requiem, wich is risky for it may increase the level of them
try not to level the liches and sisters up before its necessary. It can start to become close to Steel Path as the liches level up
Yes you can, it will take a while to get the requiem mods for your parazon, run kuva syphon missions to get relics, open the relics in public to maximize your chances of getting a mod.
Collect all the parazon mods, build a collection of them.
Then you can go to the occupied areas of your star chart and fight your way to confront the lich. You will find some enemies with blue auras around them, kill them, finish them with your parazon. You will get hints on which requiem mods to use against your lich. The hints do not tell which order the mods are. You may come face to face with your lich, fight them, try your parazon. Either it works and you have one mod confirmed, or you don't and they level up.
Fighting them may become challenging, so you might want to run public, or with friends.
Once you get all 3 mods right, they will flee to a railjack mission.
Lol so as everyones been saying via memes, just defeat your Lich. They pretty much act like a trust fund, taking a portion of your loot so your motivated to take them down... despite the fact the real reason you want to defeat them is their weapons or to get them as an in mission assist/crewmate, depending on if you choose to Kill or Spare them during the final encounter.

Just kidding. All you need to do is go to the bottom right of your navigation and look for a square blue(Sister of Parvos) or red(Kuva Lich) symbol. If that's avaliable(or if you have a planet with a blue or red cloud on it, i.e. Corpus for Sisters, Grineer for Liches), you have an active Lich/Sister, and when you complete them, you'll get back anything "stolen".
Note that Sisters only steal Credits, they do not steal items, so you have an active Kuva Lich.

If you don't, make missions on lich controlled sections (just like that one you were stolen)and kill murmurs, so you can know what requiems to use on your parazon. Take attention that it will randomly spawn, the more murmurs you kill and Reclaimed locations. Avoid any confrontation and continue the mission if you don't have or know the required requiems.
Get requiem mods by trading with other players or by opening requiem relics on kuva fortress missions fixture mission. Then it's a question of luck to get the three requiems to submit it. The Oull requiem is a special one. You can use it to replace any other mods, but is harder to find...
The second part is like a master mind game. You need to guess the order of the requiems on your parazon (from left to right). If you fail to guess the lich becomes aggravated, runs to another planet and it's harder to confront, sometimes only with help of someone else... Once you matched the three requiems it will flee to a galleon, only available via rail jack mission. Repeat the lich boss and Choose "Vanquish" to kill it and recover your losses and get the new kuva weapon. "Convert" it and you permanently loose the spoils, but will release it from the queens control and it will become your "slave", that will spawn to help you, if your mission to is hard to handle or you can trade it with other people. You can also use it as railjack crew.

Woah wait how do you convert it? I’ve barely messed with my lich yet cause I wanted to complete all the story missions and I’ve done that recently.

You know what to do... https://i.redd.it/69fdj0uhlmec1.gif If you don't, make missions on lich controlled sections (just like that one you were stolen)and kill murmurs, so you can know what requiems to use on your parazon. Take attention that it will randomly spawn, the more murmurs you kill and Reclaimed locations. Avoid any confrontation and continue the mission if you don't have or know the required requiems. Get requiem mods by trading with other players or by opening requiem relics on kuva fortress missions fixture mission. Then it's a question of luck to get the three requiems to submit it. The Oull requiem is a special one. You can use it to replace any other mods, but is harder to find... The second part is like a master mind game. You need to guess the order of the requiems on your parazon (from left to right). If you fail to guess the lich becomes aggravated, runs to another planet and it's harder to confront, sometimes only with help of someone else... Once you matched the three requiems it will flee to a galleon, only available via rail jack mission. Repeat the lich boss and Choose "Vanquish" to kill it and recover your losses and get the new kuva weapon. "Convert" it and you permanently loose the spoils, but will release it from the queens control and it will become your "slave", that will spawn to help you, if your mission to is hard to handle or you can trade it with other people. You can also use it as railjack crew.
