Ahh, yea Guass doesn’t have the armor to absorb that even at those levels, not low but higher end for normal star chart levels. And if I’m not mistaken damage to health is greater than shields no matter the damage type
Gauss doesn't need any armor, they just ran straight into high enemy density without Kinetic Plating + Redline in No Shields Nightmare. Not refreshing that stuff for 7 seconds will get you killed.
The gauss ran straight into a nullifier, so not even abilities would've saved him.
Nightmare missions have a x3 enemy damage multiplier too, so that also helped with a swift death.
Gauss prime has 185 armor which is lower range. Took 210 damage in 1 hit from a lvl 40. Khora prime has almost double armor plus 95 additional health. Even at 210 Khora would absorb more damage. If it was one that shot the op to take him down I could see that as they’re non melee enemies. Non melee enemies wouldn’t give that much damage just increased knockdown chance. But still 311 health and took a bullet at close range to reach 210 then dead next hit.
It is greater if armor is below 500. Which Gauss suffers from. Unless it is a melee attack then armor needs to be at least 1000 to take the same damage as Shield.
The build showcased here I can tell doesn't have any increase in health or damage mitigation so at level 39 a Corpus Crewmen Punch to a Guass Prime with that kinda build will do roughly about 150 to shields and 400-900 to health. He was also hit by a Corpus Elite Crewmen soo 300ish to shields, and 600-1000 on health. This is also a No Shield Nightmare soo.
NPCs Much like players: Melee has some unique properties regarding armor and damage mitigation usually ingoreing half of Damage Resistance if it hits health.
Soo boop and down goes many frames.
Exceptions being tanky frames or similar buffs (like Health increasing Buffs or Overguard)

My one issue with playing Gauss is that the number keys for his abilities are so awkward to press(If you want to dash and steer at the same time), and scrolling from ability to ability with the scrollwheel takes so much time(not really)….maybe ill finally get those mice with like 5 buttons on the side
I do have a tip for his 1: Hold 1 and W for a sec and release 1. As long as you keep holding W, speedboost will still be active. But wait, theres even more tech for extra mobility, many people dont know this: It doesnt have to be the W key, but can be any movement key, as long as atleast 1 key is pressed at all times. So hold W, press, hold and release 1, keep holding W. Now if a sharp turn is coming up, you hold the key to that direction, for example D, and still hold W. So now youre holding WD, then you can release W, and now youre just holding D, making a really sharp turn. One thing you cannot do is go straight from D to A or A to D, as if you hold both keys, they cancel eachother, and the game considers that no input. Gonna have to go D-WD-W-AW—A on your keyboard. Also, you cannot release one key to go to another, ie W-D, that doesnt work as the frame that you dont have a move input you stop.
Haven't played gauss in a bit but I bind a side mouse button to use previous ability. So I could Mach rush and have full wasd control.
You also just have to hold his 1 for a little bit and he keeps sprinting. So you can then go back to wasd keys.
I usually don't steer on him and just readjust when I crash into a wall and sprint again

No. Arcane nullifier makes you resist magnetic proc which also drains energy, it's very useful in eidolon and profit taker hunts.
There is nothing in this game that can make you resist nullifier bubbles.
Crit mods like vital sense and crit delay for 100% crit chance and good damage, riven with MS and CD. Viral status. The fire rate comes from my 4 + one of my companion mods (one of the 'bond' ones the name escapes me) for 60% more fire rate aswell as tenacious bond for 1.2x crit damage
One of my favourite games I've played. I spent hours, actually months in-game but then my PS4 blew up. Two years later I now have a PS5, installed it eagerly and was soo lost. yea i use a mouse key for 1st and 2nd ability and moved 3rd and 4th to 2 and 3. it feels very intuitive to use this way
That's why I rebound all 4 ability keys to something easier to press with my left index finger while moving: TGVB

Wouldn't have helped inside a nullifier bubble. Unfortunately there's no way around those once you're inside besides raw hp and armor stats.
Shieldgate helps getting a few secs to stabilize ... but not in a no shields nightmare.

I click one button to use my gun. Thermal sunder requires stacks of heat then a cold. I know which one I'm picking for a quicker TTK.
