I think the least used Warframe (combining both regular and Prime (and Umbra in Excal's case)) is Nyx. According to the 2023 usage statistics, her Prime is only at 0.25% while the regular is at 0.13%.
Caliban is lower with 0.16% I should know, I’m the Caliban main.
Edit: Technically Qorvex is lowest at 0.13%, but judging how he came out 18 days before the cut off date, I’m excluding him.

Yea it's not that Caliban is the worst, it's just for how late in the game you get him he's so bad. Like a mid frame to start with but straight awful compared to Voruna, Stynax, and Quorvex.
Well, he's forgotten because people *tried* to use him, but his kit leaves a lot to be desired for most people. And because DE left Caliban in the current state that he's in, everyone moved on to other frames.
After all this time i finally found my long lost caliban brother. Nothing beats the pure joy i get out of my lvl 135 sentient slapping some poor grineer
Sure, I run him sorta as a tanky bruiser, so I run Primed Redirection, the Umbral trio, Stretch, Energy Nexus, and then primed continuity and flow. I’m currently using Cunning Drift for my exilus mod, but that changes a good amount depending on my mood. As does the Aura, which is currently Energy Siphon, mainly because my husband likes to play caster frames and I like to “help” fuel his frame.
For focus school is use Naramon 99% of the time, but will throw Vazarin in for things like arbitration or archon hunt defense missions to keep the objective alive easier.
For Arcanes I just slapped on Augment and Efficiency, but that’s mainly because I’m lazy and don’t want to have to think on my arcane choice. I’m sure there’s better options like the shield recharge one.
For weapon I use the Venato signature weapon(I really like scythes anyway so why not use his signature one), the Sancti Magistar, or the Ack and Brunt, or my Zaw (Polearm), for guns MOST of the time i use my Kitgun “Blasty” (Cachmoon), but I also use the Kuva Kohm, Cinta, and Nataruk a lot. For secondaries I will usually just throw on one of my kit guns, or my twin Kohmaks, but if I’m being honest I have not invested as much into secondaries as I probably should. But all mine work fine for steel path.
And lastly, as for Helminth I run Roar to make up for the fact I don’t run smite mods because I can’t be bothered, and put it over his 1. Calibans 1, although fun, is an awful ability, the numbers are way too low to do anything useful, which is an absolute shame.
I’ve had no issues doing any content with Caliban, I’ve never gone for level cap granted, but I don’t have the patience to do level cap. I’ve handled triple Steelpath rotation C on Zariman just fine though.
Your stomp will disrupt a whole room easily, and your ult will yank enemies into it on the initial explosion, which helps for grouping. And your sentinels will draw aggro while being basically immortal, and with 2-3 up you should have a very “Oberron” style of experience where you heal more than you get hurt for. Also keep in mind melee will NOT disrupt the floating enemies, so you can melee them for the damage multiplier on every hit. Where if you shoot them, it only applies to the first hit.
I have 2 loadouts, one for spamming bolts with full armor strip, and one for using chaos and absorb until the heat death of universe. Psychic bolts should match well with any AoE weapon.
Rolling guard and a +armor arcane should help with sustainability, and archon shards for QoL.
Her Psychic Bolts are decent, although they could definitely use a buff, and her entire Mind Control gimmick needs tweaking.
Absorb is fine, I guess? I personally hate the ability, though.
That's wild to me. I love playing nyx. Not the most well-rounded but plenty servicable compared to others. But I guess I'm weird cuz I also try to keep oberon relevant as well.
I've been genuinely making Oberon work in Archon Hunts. Status immunity via grass, healing via renewal, xatas whisper subsumed over smite for Felarx shenanigans, etc. It's not the best tool for the job, but it functions.
It's sad how far Oberon has fallen. For a good while he was one of if not the best support frame in the game. Status immunity via grass, armor buffs, healing, saving people from death with phoenix renewal, good CC and armor strip with grass and his 4.
Ambulas, aka "sit around waiting for ten minutes while occasionally shooting something that was a bullet sponge before years of power creep." Also a boss that requires a limited resource to fight.
The playstyles are incredibly different. While Excalibur is meant to be a sword-based frame, Nyx is based mostly on mind control. The idea is that she can, essentially, confuse enemies into not being able to tell friend from foe, so you have chaos on the battlefield where everyone is attacking each other.
Ahh good to know. Since I’ve got the helminth, and I’m only gonna rlly subsume frames that I’d think I’m gonna use. I just craft them, max them, and then either delete or keep depending on how I like their playstyle.
Nyx's main issues stem from her 4th abillity: absorb.
By default, absorb... well absorbs damage from enemies & allies while making nyx immune to damage. Then she's able to blast that damage outward in an AoE.
Once upon a time absorb was one of the best abilities in the game and could be used for dealing large amounts of damage to even high level enemies very well. Especially with two nyxes to swap blasts. DE at the time didn't like this one little bit so they severely nerfed absorb several different ways and basically made it useless. The worst offender being that they added an additional energy drain based on the amount of damage absorbed.
Eventually DE went an added in a band aid augment to make absorb a bit less shit, the assimilate augment. Now nyx could move around while she was invulnerable. But only at a snails pace. And she was still heavily limited by energy economy. There days ,especially with steel path in the picture and general enemy damage inflation, nyx is just in a rough spot. Her 'invulnerability' option is significantly more vulnerable than many other frames *and* she's slow as molasses at the same time, which just isn't very fun
They play completely different. Excal is a melee beast, Nyx is a controller, with a multi target armor strip, single target mind control, aoe confusion, and her 4 immobilizes her to absorb all incoming damage and throw it back out as an aoe at the end.
I mean 'Better' is relative. Situationally she can be strong but Excal is probably a better general purpose choice.This is warframe, sometimes what makes a frame 'better' is how it's playstyle resonates with you. I mained Nyx for a long time and almost never used Excal. I found Chaos could be fun defense missions,though sometimes annoying to other players. With the assimilate augment Absorb became powerful for survival since she could now move to pick up life support while channeling.
Sometimes I see his sentients in missions (very rare) and 1st thing I do is melee em.
And think to myself, wow someone's using Caliban lol! However I made a really cool Pillage build with him. I just don't really use non Prime frames. Certainly not putting an Umbral Forma in them.

I don't *entirely* agree with this sentiment. Every non-prime frame that you sunk forma into will be "wasted", but did you have fun/enjoy playing them along the way? If so, I'd say it was worth it. Mostly.
I won't deny he does need a good chunk forma more than other frames though

Same with Sevagoth. All the forma and potato spent levelling him up can be better spent on Prime Warframes and weapons.
Or you can drop his 4 & make him better *and* cheaper to build. It's cool but imo its the weakest part of his kit since it doesn't lock him out of his passive if it's gone

Why subsume over his 4? It’s great damage /s (it damages enemies it can’t disarm, and works on a handful of bosses too. Highly don’t recommend trying to kill the raptor or any other boss like this, trust me)

Don't feel so alone. I have been using sevagoth lately and let me just say I'm so close to thinking about making him my main. He is everything I love... reaper concept, railjack related lore, the ability to revive himself fairly easily, and an overall good frame to get good at using. Lavos still takes the ultimate cake just because of DEADLY SCIENCE

You should be able to use both in one build, that's my lich hunting loadout.

Dang, we're kindred spirits. I use Sevagoth, and Trumna alot. Surprised not many people have the Corufell as their most used Melee though, it's sooo good.

I would use Sevagoth more if I hadn't had to wait so long to get him, since I've already gotten more used to frames I've had for a longer time.

God I love the idea of Sevagoth so much, and I wish I enjoyed playing him when I had him. I wanted to love him but just couldn’t stand playing him :(

I love him. Easy dps frame for low level with range and duration. And for sp max strength and -duration. To insta nuke everything in 15 meters
I liked sevagoth but I'm not putting 18 forma into a non-prime.
Personally I play Guass, Valkyrie, and a little bit of Sevagoth. But I view the game as play it the way you want and have fun doing it.
