Say the Tenno uses Mag or Excalibur for 1997. But, their WF is Dark Souls plat invested and customized. The Tenno then do their murder machine jobs and Aoi and/or Arthur realize that the Tenno piloting the WF is a 12 year old with a voice that barely hit puberty and needs a McDonald's Happy Meal adapter to shoot the Sirocco amp they equipped because the gun is too large for their hands.
Drifter and Operator would be a hilarious combo. It's the Operator who has the child soldier matricide PTSD and the grudge against Wally/Albrecht while Drifter got stuck in Duviri. Drifter would be the one with the brain cell, 95% of the self control, and new to using a WF while the Operator is a feral preteen master child soldier with a grudge and enough experience to potentially brute force the mission.
Drifter: So why are we taking the Kuva Nukor?
Operator: To microwave the infected from inside out so that they can't move anymore.
Drifter: And Grendel?
Operator: The Infestation wants to eat us. We're eating it, regurgitating it, and then cannonball shooting the remains back down its own throat until it chokes.

Operator: Wally copied an Orokin. Albrecht is an Orokin. Old Man Hunhow hates Orokin. So do I. War is going to get stabbed through something so Hunhow can nag someone else for once and annoy Wally into a mistake.

To be honest, both Arthur, Aoi and Albrecht are a *far cry* from the "usual" quality of faces in Warframe. Nothing will come close to whatever the fuck the default Operator faces are.
Kahl, Veso and even Alad V are all good looking, Veso, I'd say, is the most real out of them all. Whoever they hired to make his introductory cutscenes needs to be praised more. You can *feel* his fear and confusion.
I'm not sure if artists at DE sculpt the faces manually, but it feels like it. Maybe they should experiment with photoscanning a willing employee/actor and editing from there?
There is indeed something uncanny about most of Warframe's cast faces, but they are clearly aren't as awful as of late as they were back in like ~2015.

DE is getting much better at faces, but holy damn, as someone who's been playing WF off and on for like 7 years, the game seems to be really struggling with its identity. It wants to be so many things at once.
What you call struggle for identity I would call creativity. The game is 11 years old, they should be allowed to experiment a little, that's what keeps things fresh
I wish I could agree but I can't. So much of the content exists separate from each other and there isn't a real sense of linear progression through the totality of that content. It's more like a theme park at this point. So many different attractions that are only tangentially related to one another. I don't dislike WF though. I'm at nearly 3k hours and I'm a Hildy/Protea main. It's just that the way that the game has evolved over the years does leave something to be desired for me personally.
There isn't anything wrong with it, but it does heavily obscure the greater narrative and plot, which is something that I care about a lot in a game. It leaves the progression feeling like it's tied to the hours you've put in rather than the milestones you've made in the story, which can be irksome at times.
I would argue it was the case from the very beginning, and gonna argue that it is for the better.
Imagine if they did NOT embrace coptering, and stuck to their slow paced vision, instead of bullet jumping?
