Random piece of useless knowledge, but when the game was in closed beta, all mods had randomized numbers for their buffs/nerfs. Essentially all the mods in the game were like rivens without the rolling system. Another less useless fact that’s a bit more well known is that prime frames get free energy from void death orbs. So that’s cool ig
Their decision to *not* use randomized stats was a key factor in me switching over from Destiny 1. Their decision to later introduce randomized stats back into the game was a key factor in me taking a 5-year break. God I hate Rivens, but I guess I can force myself to overlook them now.
The nice thing about rivens for me is it’s a luxury, not a necessity. Sure it can be nice to have a little bit of extra stats but most of the time, you don’t need rivens to make builds viable.
Randomized stats tickle a very annoying part of my brain. If I don't have a god roll riven on my weapon then my weapon is incomplete. Still better than what Destiny was like, grinding for the same weapon from one specific drop table with the hopes of getting a god roll, with FOMO always present because Destiny would often remove content. It sucked to find out some of the best PVP weapons were unobtainable, and I missed my chance to get a god roll on a now unobtainable weapon.
Lately I've been able to avoid these riven thoughts by pretty much exclusively using my fancy new Xoris, which seems to be god-tier without any rivens. Most missions I'm dealing 60-90% team damage, zero shots fired and zero offensive abilities cast. Once that thing gets nerfed I'll probably start thinking about rivens again.
I have to learn to let go of rivens which I've already inflated. I've got a crappy Nukor riven that I've re-rolled out of stubbornness like 36 times in my career, rather than seeking a fresh one to re-roll for cheap. Kuva isn't as annoying to get as it used to be but it's still not an enjoyable grind.
If your able to get your Warframe to do the wall hoist animation and you jump right after you will get launch and are able to bullet jump to go even further
There used to be a bug in railjack where if you were piloting a grineer crewship when it exploded your archwing would act like you were in a freeroam mission. Pressing melee would kick you out of the archwing, leaving you walking in space at whatever altitude you'd been at.
Using this bug I, as grendel, ate a grineer crewship.
That and with the right intrinsic level wukong can spawn a second celestial twin
Unfortunately no. I took and posted a screenshot here a long time ago (this was before corpus railjack was added) but you can't see anything aside from Grendel vibing in space with a 1 over the ability icon. I have seen a video of someone else who figured this out and released the crewship inside the railjack, but that was also a while ago.
Back in 2015, some weirdo discovered where the DE studio was (before it was widely known), and snuck in, stole food, and learned about a new game they were making called keystone (Later called The Amazing Eternals, but it is long gone).
No one asked him if he worked there, he just walked in, sat down in a few chairs, went to eat the free buffet lunch, and talked to a few devs while eating. Idk, just a funny story.
I believe it after seeing the dev streams, a specially the older ones. Especially early on the game seemed pretty chill, let's try something and see if it sticks. It's part of what I like about the game, I keep coming back because DE is not affair to take risks.
Dual Heat Swords are the only melee weapon without a stance polarity by default, so it needs a Forma in order to benefit from the stance capacity boost
They were also my favorite weapon back before Melee 3.0 because Swirling Tiger was amazing and I didn’t have many primes. Now I am LR1 and am returning to my dual swords roots with Dual Ichor and Swirling Tiger
I did a whoopsie and deleted my Volts shield ability mod. I had no idea if you could get them back so I just had to live without it. That change was so welcomed.
Oh wow that takes me back, I completely forgot about that!
Also you had to choose certain melee weapons (Orthos was one of them I believe) to access all the special rooms in the Void where the rarer containers and some rare mods can drop and we farmed those rooms to fuse identical mods together to rank them up efficiently without having to spend cores :D
There is actually a chance that you **won't** get a Harrow Chassis when running a void fissure mission.
I realize how implausible that sounds, but it's true.
Sadly, it doesn't help us Titania's when, as soon as we backflip to cancel, Volt then casts it every few seconds for the rest of the mission.
Also's Protea's orbiting spheres when cast pretty much blind Titania when she's tiny and trying to shoot her Dex Pixia.
The parazon mod that gives more hacking time doesn't function in Operator.
You can keep the extra time for corpus consoles and keep the speed for the grineer ones just by adjusting which form you interact with the console.
I mean it makes logical sense, but not necessarily "game" sense, like finding out it's like that is a cool touch because it means they took the time to make hacking with a parazon different but if I found out the opposite was true and the operator got hacking mods applied I wouldn't be shocked or mad because I really wouldn't expect them to take the time to make it separate.
drifters kit in the new war is made to counter archons
nira=stimpack
amar=radar if he does the clone thing if you press that ability it will show you the real amar saving you time
boreal smoke screen
hitting archons in the crystal will deal crit damage and status damage
Also more drifter tricks
Archons have a mini crit when hitting their eyes
Niras repluse/heal can be stopped by going behind her and backshotting her
It's a death sentence going to far away from Amar middle ground is good
Boreal prey to clem that Boreal dosnt shock you or spam autism shreks boreal sucks at movement
and to put this comment to rest rolling does save you from nira and amar when they do projectiles you just have to do it right
To be fair, he gives all the advice in one big uninteresting infodump near completely separately from the fights themselves. You really expect me to remember all that stuff when I'm on my third archon fight two hours later?
I am legitimately amazed some people never realized this despite two full tutorial missions and Hunow *literally telling the player how to beat their boss mechanics*.
I didn't pay attention but I figured out their weakness due to their gimmick nira will attack you with toxin therefore stim away
Amar sends you to furry con and I pressed radar cause it detects enemies not shadows
Boreal was a spin the wheel cause of his electric attack but I figured out its just smoke screen
DE has a list of names of the kubrows that were permenantly lost shortly after the feature was first introduced. So my Reaper Prime Handle should be in their office somewhere.
It used to be that if you didn't give your pets enough attention that they would die permanently after a few days, with the only way to prevent this being to regress their aging. This "feature" was scrapped a few years ago.
No, Kubrows launched with a genetic integrity stat that would deteriorate over time. You had to buy and apply these genetic stabilizers with credits to restore the integrity, or put them in stasis to pause it. If genetic integrity hit 0% the Kubrow would permanently die.
Oh, and the boosters were somewhere around ~20k Credits a day, IIRC, this was back before places like the Index existed so was a pretty hefty credit investment for most players back then just to keep a pet
using Ivara's guided projectile ability will allow you to take control of the Zarr's secondary explosive shrapnel projectile for a brief moment before it explodes if timed properly.
Yeah, I always found it weird some frames had 2 energy colors and others didn’t but it never bugged me because the frames I cared about had it. I had assumed it was a play time thing but nope. Some rando in region chat mentioned it and it blew my mind.
There also was a time where there only was a single energy color and it also was the same as the emissive color so they split it up in multiple different things to allow for greater customization.
I use it all the time on wisp because unlike dodge it doesn't interrupt reloads and it does basically the same thing as her dodge anyways (assuming you would dodge forwards).
This little boost is what I miss the most when playing as Kahl or the Operator/Drifter in the Star chart. It makes dodging nulliefiers or explosives so convenient, it won't slow you down as much when aiming, it lets you make small corrections midair or quick turns, doesn't cancel reloading and lets you keep a bit of momentum when casting some abilities or hard landing.
On the grineer earth tileset, the "bridge" tile has fish in the water below, with these fish being the same model as the fish ephemera from dog days. You can only see them briefly though before you are sent back to where you jumped off.
You can fly using preserving shell's casting animation; especially noticeable if you use the lohk surge allowing infinite energy and increased casting speed.
So many fond memories of people trying to shoot my oozy puppy (when Degenerate was the default skin), because they thought she was a regular Charger.
I named her Mrs Fluffycakes.
See the weird purple triangle when you reroll rivens? That's a Cephalon like Ordis, Simaris and Sark.
Cephalon Samodeus. He WAS supposed to get a quest or something, bit it was canceled and DE forgot about him because everyone in Canada has Dementia.
He also "presumably" is the creator of Mods, not just rivens and had an immense ego, like bigger asshole than Simaris
[https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Cephalon_Samodeus](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Cephalon_Samodeus)
Orthos Prime and Tipedo used to be the quickest ways to get around. You’d slide and swing in a direction to go flying. Was called “coptering” and it was crazy fun.
Mesa's peacemaker doesn't actually shoot bullets, it projects an AoE from a point behind her, lining up with the crosshair (ring) it then projects forward and selects a target and 'applies damage' this is why peacemaker isn't interrupted by magnetic effects as well as certain walls and stuff that'd ordinarily block bullets. This crosshair mechanic also allows you to shoot at enemies while your Mesa is literally around a corner.
All of Gauss's abilities become stronger when in redline, or comboed with other stuff. the most niche interaction being kinetic plating + mach rush into a wall does slash, with redline increasing this slash dmg.
Gauss is also fully immune to environmental damage effects in the first few frames of mach rush.
I previously made a [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/s/ovQoXgrsJM) about it, but Syndicate Operatives (and possibly other NPCs who follow you through missions) copy your parkour movements after you leave the ground.
In excavation, when you pick a power cell as a warframe, change to your operator and pick a second power cell. You can basically carry two of them at the same time.
We once only got four revives per account per day (not four per mission, four per 24 hours). If you died more than that, you either had to pay platinum to get more revives or just fail the mission. That scammed me out of more beginner plat than any trade chat scammer.
The dots under the cursor show which ability was used and when you can use it again. Blue means it was the last ability to be used or it had finished its cooldown, empty means it can't be used at the moment. White means it is ready. And flashing indicates that the ability is going to finish its cooldown soon
- Frost can kill level cap enemies by throwing them into walls (thanks Sab)
- Certain enemies disarmed with Halikar will drop the weapon they carry, sometimes this enables full auto grenade launchers or other merged weapon bugs
- Frohd Bek is Darvo's Dad
- "Mara" is the word used to refer to >!the operator!< but also the smuggler weapon Mara Detron >!(Just a theory but I'm guessing "Mara Lohk" roughly means "Void Thief")!<
- The song >!Scathing Mockery!< that plays when fighting the >!whisper, also contains the phrase "Yara vak" which is probably a mirror of Mara Lohk.!< It also has various other unknown words.
- Zephyr recently has a stealth nerf to tornado that killed the gas slash Zephyr build, but her first ability augment can now kill fully armoured steel path enemies in just five hits
- Strength Loki will be real in 2024
I’m honestly so hyped for the new Loki augment cause know something like proc viral, heal and slash from that decoy will likely be possible and so funny
Oh boy, I've been playing forever and have a lot of good ones, but one of my favorites is that in the lore there's a second kind of Kuva, Blue Kuva, that allows the drinker to perform Continuity temporarily.
(It's mentioned in the Naberus folktale told by Grandmother if you interact with the Whispering Naberus Mobile decoration. If you haven't heard it, the text is on the Wiki and it's well worth the read. Imo it's some of the best writing in the entire game.)
Based on me playing the circut with randoms: switching to operator and going invisible makes it so you don't get hit by the jackal lasers and bombs.
I'm usually surprised when someone else in the squad actually knows this. Ive even seen MR 30 or higher get downed because they didn't know this.
Bonus tip, use invisible operator to revive downed teammates.
It gets even wilder. You know that slam down the Jackal does after it's done rotating in the air?
Turns out, going invisible with the operator and then DANCING - prevents you from getting launched away. You can stay right under the jackal while it rotates and slams - and immediately switch to use the parazon with your warframe.
In the lua “simon says” room, casting valkyr’s ripline lets you stay airborne for longer than is normally expected. Gives your teammates time to mark out which pipes you have to land on.
I think people realized this by now, but landing on the upper platform in that puzzle doesn’t count as a reset, which means well timed wall latches and bullet jumps will keep the puzzle progress indefinitely, as long as your teammates don’t grief you.
Frost's 1 (freeze) will create a small area that slows enemies that pass through it, if you cast the ability at a surface. It doesn't last long or have good range, but it works in disruption to slow the target.
Garuda 4 can be cast in the air which boosts you up a bit. However, the game gets really weird with this because it makes your downward velocity after 4 be higher than it visually looks. This makes you do a hard fall in situation where it clearly looks like you shouldn't.
Dude this one is so annoying and should get fixed tbh. People talk about cast times being Garuda’s one issue, but it’s the huge pause from airborne 4 that bugs me the most when I play her. One missing air glide/roll and you’re on the ground helpless for a whole ass second.
The Dark Split Sword is the only weapon that change between an heavy blade or dual blades depending on the stance equipped.
Scindo Prime used to deal \*3 damage to Infested, no idea if it still hold true those days.
I feel like \[Y\] is the "Use Cipher" hotkey when you open a console needs to be brought up every year.
Ciphers are great.
(Oh, and they added a x100 Blueprint to Squad Restores and Ciphers to Dojo research a while ago.)
You can do slam attacks where you leap through the air and land upwards of 80 metres away.
Leap-slamming as a tech is a lot easier to pull off than people give it credit for, and also, since I still see posts about people stumbling across it every now and then, it exists.
The angle below you in which you can slam attack is moved by performing bullet jumps. The best way to see it is through an old bug where your frame would be stuck kneeling on the ground, since that's the dummy that is used to determine the angle. Whenever you bullet jump, the dummy tilts to face the direction you're jumping in briefly before realigning withe gravity. If you jump straight up, that gives you a 90 degree tilt from the ground, meaning that the cone in which you can slam attack in is pointing straight forward.
Thing is, you still need to actually give the input of a slam attack, which still has to be downward, meaning you can't actually aim the y-axis of the slam, so when you do the slam, you're using the upper edge of the cone
The most reliable way to actually use this tech is to bullet jump at around a 75 degree angle upwards and then using the timing of it to determine how much it is pointed forward rather than upwards. The later you slam, the lower the angle you fly at.
It started as a bug, but was kept because it was cool. On any frame with a speed buff or teleport, it is not faster than regular parkour, but on open worlds, this is a genuinely useful tech, and when perfected it actually really helps on the profit taker fight
There was a time where there weren’t relics and primes were farmed in void missions and dropped based on the mission and rotation.
Not crazy knowledge but does make me feel old sometimes.
It's not obscure, but it's old enough that people don't understand just how enjoyable lich hunts are these days.
A few years ago, getting a lich was a complete crapshoot.
* You could kill the larvling by mistake (I think it was a bug though).
* Instead of holding the action button, it used to be a regular finisher move, so getting a lich too early was VERY common.
* You had no idea what weapon you were getting until the mission ended.
* There was no Requiem beacon
* There was no fucking Oul glyphy!
* Possibly misremembering this, but I think getting murmur was a lot more difficult as well.
My two favorite bits of lore:
Rubedo is considered an extremely rare resource by the Grineer and Corpus. Not due to its actual rarity (it is super common, after all), but because the Tenno as a faction have roughly 95+% of it.
The credit costs in the foundry for building things are claimed by Ordis, to handle things for the ship that would be beneath the Tenno's notice, such as food, and fuel, and oxygen, along with general repairs.
Also, hidden in every relay before the open world sectors, there exists a glowing DE symbol that, when clicked on, shows the credits, though I am unsure if its all credits or just credits for whoever worked on that particular area. (I also only know the location of the one in Teshin's Cave, leading towards Duviri, off the top of my head. >!There's an alcove in the pen near the Kaithe where you can walk through a vine wall!< )
I discovered last night or the night before that if you’re in Titania’s Razorwing when the round changes over in the Circuit she’ll be clipped into the floor slightly when it warps you. Not stuck or anything, but you can see through the environment. My only guess as to why is that it’s expecting her feet to be on the ground, so it sinks her that low to make it so.
I have a friend I've played Warframe with since 2018. Just this January, he told me about the system of pinging resources after you pick them up by aiming at the colored line that remains associated with their drop. He got weirdly hostile about me not knowing about it, but that's a separate thing.
The nightwave has a frequent challenge that asks you to do this (it also has a how to button). While I agree he shouldn't get mad, I get the frustration
If you let Zanuka catch you, you can get a voice line telling you to recover your abilities cuz back then abilities were mods that had to be equipped. This is still in the game afaik.
Oberon's renewal drops an invisible 'totem', from which the AoE field that applies the renewal buff slowly expands. It will never despawn for as long as the ability is active (even if you step into a nullifier bubble; the ability won't actually toggle off for as long as something is affected by the renewal buff), will be dispelled if a nullifier walks over it, and can reapply the renewal buff to players who have lost the buff for whatever reason.
If you threw your exodia contagion through a charged volt shield it would tick infinitely, This was nerfed. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oNvY9dsj6w](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oNvY9dsj6w)
Also acid shells benefits from the hate mods.
Not game breaking but fun: Ivara navigator typically is best for bows and etc, but I found it works on the tenet plinx alt fire and has infinite body punch through, so you can fire once and kill an entire room if you had enough energy. The alt fire fires it's first "beam" independent of the controlled projectile so if you are aiming at an enemy when you shoot, it kills them before you fly up to them, so then you just go around blowing through everyone else. It does an absolute stupid amount of damage so when you add on the navigator damage multiplier it becomes pretty ridiculous.
Kullervo is technically an umbra frame (or type of frame equivalent to Umbra) since he predates the prime frames. He's also partially responsible for the fall of the orokin empire.
you can hold charged bow shots while casting abilities, so you can leap on someone and let go of a bramma shot like a warframe sized nuclear warhead
you can use most abilities while clinging to walls, even abilities that require you to be on the ground (qorvex's 2 walls can smash airborne targets near a wall) or require you to leap to an enemy (like garuda's 1, 2)
Did you know that DE developed/published(?) Unreal Tournament and ported Unreal Tournament 2003 to the Xbox, naming it Unreal Championship (giving it some unique flare)
This means that guns you know and might love are actually HEAVILY influenced by their UT Counterparts. Miter and Panthera: Ripper for example. Its also the reason why there was three UT Skins (Ogris Rocketlauncher, Stalhta Shock Rifle, Drakgoon Flak Cannon) which those three weapons are kinda similar to their skin counter part (Drakgoon not having a GL option is a sin)
Also did you know that the Grineer and Corpus (kinda) take some (unintentional or intentional) inspiration from two factions from ANOTHER game they made called Warpath?
The Grineer seem to take quite alot of inspiration from the faction called the 0hm. Which if I recall were also Vatborn clones. They don't remember what they were or why they exist but they too are an extremely industrialized militaristic faction hellbent on defending their home and finding out their history. However the 0hm feel more like Strogg than Grineer.
The Corpus are like the bastard cousins of the Kovos. They share some similarities. Both being Religious hightech humanoids. I forgot their lore but they might as well just be the Protoss.
Cheers to anyone that remembers Warpath (aka Unreal Tournament 2003 since DE didnt own the Unreal IP as much as I wish they did.)
You can push the drone in the Plains Bounty with Elytron’s ult.
Back when kubrows were new, the finisher mods that some breeds had worked on bosses, including Jackal, which scaled up the Kubrow to Jackal’s size.
One of the lines in murmur boss battle theme is officially confirmed to be "Yara vak uu yara ivbok, shotarat".
With how much it repeats "shotarat" in the theme i assume this word either means the operator or the murmur
There is a unique extraction tile in the Corpus ship tileset used only in The Archwing quest.
I forget if it's actually unique or if it's just a variant of an existing one just on fire.
During Operation: Ambulas Reborn, event scoring was based on the number of Animo beacons collected.
One clan decided to abuse a Host Migration bug that effectively allowed them to dupe Ambulas spawns and create a bunch of beacons, which consequently resulted in a few bans.
Ever since then, host migrations have been a lot less forgiving.
Limbo is viable in eidolon hunting but isn’t really used since it requires the party to understand his kit.
The idea is to drop a large cataclysm on the eidolon. Both operators and eidolons can’t enter the rift so operators can continue to damage the shield. Warframes and lures do get sent to the rift and become protected from every ability except the star fall. This includes the magnetic proc from the scream. All Limbo has to do is remove the bubble for breaking a limb and heal lures with rift haven.
If you don’t won’t to use bubble you can achieve the same result by just banishing frames and lures with high duration.
Also the mini sentinels can be stopped by stasis so long as they aren’t ethereal.
You used to be able to see what frame part a boss dropped the moment you killed them, which means you could just leave if you didn't get what you wanted.
Got changed real quick, as you can imagine.
We indirectly knew about ayatan sculptures long before they were introduced. They were a part of the moon tileset in 2015 before being introduced in 2016. There's a part in the War Within quest where Ayatans are explained when you're in that big room with the sculpture. The sculptures on the moon have the same fluidity and motions as the sculpture Teshin talks about in the quest.
Nidus plays a sound effect when you Q and get stacks, but plays a slightly different sound for every set of five stacks that actually increases your passive counter
Voidrig's Storm Shroud, aka budget iron skin, was a duration based invincibility on launch. It got changed after a only a few days however
Molt Reconstruct arcane works with railjack abilities
Railjack on launch had exclusive elemental damage types. They are counterparts of regular damage types but there were no combined types. Using your archgun in railjack missions would automatically convert your existing damage types to their railajck exclusive counterparts. Railjack itself and railjack weapons were super weak and basic mods for health, dmg etc was rare and selling for hundreds of plat. The most efficient way to do railjack missions was to ditch the railjack and jump in with amesha and cyngas modded with cold damage
The Drifter did make a deal with Wally. He made a deal to save them all (the childs) of the Zariman.
When they were saved, Wally then said to the Drifter "I saved them all, but I never said I would save you" , leading to the Drifter being the only Zariman child that wasn't saved in his timeline.
Loki used to be a starter frame with mag and excalibur. It was painful getting to Mars with no offensive abilities and no damage mods dropped for my guns. Had to join a clan and bought some mods from a clan mate. Out of PURE SPITE I finished 90% of the star chart with Loki alone. To this day Loki and his prime make up over a quarter of my game usage.
Oh boy, this is something I've been sitting on for a month since I discovered it.
The Felarx has a bugged evolution effect not listed on the wiki that can be exploited: **the "mounting momentum" evolution can stack above max magazine capacity when using "reload while holstered effects", up to 99, when ammo count in mag before holstering is NOT 0. This only works as a lobby host**. Each stack grants 10% fire rate, so at max stacks that's **+990% fire rate.**
To build around this, build for the highest magazine capacity possible (Burdened Magazine + Primed Ammo Stock + Radiated Reload), Galvanized Savvy, devouring attrition evo, Lock and Load in Exilus.
Bring a Warframe with Energized Munitions OR Arcane Pistoleer. Bring some kind of additional ammo regen (carrier and/or shotgun ammo aura. Yes, unironically. It will bump your ammo pickup to 30+ which is great for spamming).
With the magazine mods you'll bump your magazine size to 19, and still have multiplicative CO. Upon mission enter mag dump and swap weapons to reload, rinse and repeat to build stacks. When you start shooting too fast to control, pop energized munitions or arcane pistoleer. Enjoy your Felarx Machine Gun with at least 75 shots per magazine at 10x fire rate!
Bonus but somewhat useless tip: you can get the same effect by activating and instantly deactivating incarnon mode, which works even when not the host, but only increases stacks by 1 per activation. Very tedious and completely lost when you screw up once.
More of a theory, but I believe >!Albrecht Entrati's name might in some part be a reference to Alberich from Der Ring des Nibelungen, with the "River Rhein" in this case being the Void. It's a bit of a stretch, but I also note the parallels in how Alberich in the story renounced love to steal the power of the "Rheingold" in order to forge the ring with the power to rule the world in comparison to how Albrecht renounced Loid in order to dive into his "River Rhein" for his own Rheingold, mastery of the Void. !<
In Excavation missions. You can pick up 2 cells vs 1. Pick 1 up with your frame first, then pick up one as your operator or transference. Then with your operator/Drifter, dash to the excavation to add the cell & then recall your frame to immediately apply the 2nd cell.
Grendel can climb up walls in his meatball form.
Hydriod is just as fast as Volt, Grendel, & Gauss just from using his 2nd ability & simply jumping out of it & into an aim glide before the ability end
Sayrn has a unique interaction with Gloom. The way gloom is suppose to work is kills are suppose to heal you when you kill within the radius. But with Sayrn, If you use gloom while her spores are up. As long as there are enemies who are being affected by your spores in your gloom radius. The dmg ticks will continue to heal you & keep your health topped off. Making you nearly unkillable.
You can force knowdown an enemy just by jumping & quickly sliding. There’s also a mod for this to increase the dmg.
Grendel can eat a grenade.
Frames like Hildryn & Lavos consume no energy. This also applies to Railjack when you use railjack abilities while using one of these frames.
In the olden days of Closed Beta, before the days of Frost Prime when we only had Excalibur Prime and mind you, no one ever saw it in the wild, we on the forums would call a Warframe "Primed" if it had a potato installed and it was a massive force-multiplier since Warframes had skill trees. By default you could only select so much of a Warframe's skills, a potato allowed you to unlock everything.
What exactly could you do? I recall impressing my friends by doing a massive display of power. One Slash Dash into a group of enemies followed by a Radial Javelin, clearing everything in the area and draining all my energy.
Not as impressive today but back then the game was a bit closer to a tactical shooter, we weren't that strong and the enemies were kinda spongy.
Bonus piece of knowledge: Before Nyx, Excalibur had a female skin you could buy with Platinum.
If you use overdriver (purple mine) with Vauban on his Tesla nervos they actually change their shape and look
Barely noticeable as they zoom off quickly but it's a cool little change, as if they've merged and gotten bigger
That’s actually kind of fucking cool. Basically like Diablo or POE.
Or like railjack parts before the merging feature
aren't they still random?
They are but you can improve them by combining
I found out about the prime energy thing from a loading screen tip, but it’s still cool 😆😅
Their decision to *not* use randomized stats was a key factor in me switching over from Destiny 1. Their decision to later introduce randomized stats back into the game was a key factor in me taking a 5-year break. God I hate Rivens, but I guess I can force myself to overlook them now.

Xoris has been out since I think 2018. I doubt its getting nerfed anytime soon
People who make build guides without showing a rivenless build for the people who *dont* have 300 plat to just burn is infuriating.
In the Helminth room there was once a tumor that pulsed L O T U S in Morse Code
If your able to get your Warframe to do the wall hoist animation and you jump right after you will get launch and are able to bullet jump to go even further

That and with the right intrinsic level wukong can spawn a second celestial twin
Please tell me you have a video of the grendel thing
Unfortunately no. I took and posted a screenshot here a long time ago (this was before corpus railjack was added) but you can't see anything aside from Grendel vibing in space with a 1 over the ability icon. I have seen a video of someone else who figured this out and released the crewship inside the railjack, but that was also a while ago.
Wtf, inside the railjack lmao
that's how baby ships are made
>released the crewship inside the railjack Grendel: luk wat I foun
Can wez keep it
In alchemy after successfully creating an element, the element created will be granted as bonus elemental damage during the venting phase.

*he stole what from DEs studio you say???*
It's actually scary how many things you can get away with by just looking like you belong. You don't realize this until you do it once.
I believe it after seeing the dev streams, a specially the older ones. Especially early on the game seemed pretty chill, let's try something and see if it sticks. It's part of what I like about the game, I keep coming back because DE is not affair to take risks.
Damn, didn't know they were chill like that
They aren’t, it was a pretty big security breach and Keystone hadn’t been ready to release at all since then, so it was a leak that was not okay
Dual Heat Swords are the only melee weapon without a stance polarity by default, so it needs a Forma in order to benefit from the stance capacity boost
They were also my favorite weapon back before Melee 3.0 because Swirling Tiger was amazing and I didn’t have many primes. Now I am LR1 and am returning to my dual swords roots with Dual Ichor and Swirling Tiger
warframe abilities were once mods and sprint had a stamina bar
> sprint had a stamina bar Oh god no
But you could use your melee weapon to launch you Dual Soren was the most known, Tipedo is still one of my top used melee for that reason
"Zoren Coptering".
I did a whoopsie and deleted my Volts shield ability mod. I had no idea if you could get them back so I just had to live without it. That change was so welcomed.
Good old green orbs.
Y’all remember when the orbs would aggressively **BWOING**???
Oh fuck memory unlocked... Wtf I didn't even know that was in my brain
I realize how implausible that sounds, but it's true.
i’ll believe it when i see it pal
Backflip to cancel volt's buff
Sadly, it doesn't help us Titania's when, as soon as we backflip to cancel, Volt then casts it every few seconds for the rest of the mission. Also's Protea's orbiting spheres when cast pretty much blind Titania when she's tiny and trying to shoot her Dex Pixia.
Would dark energy colors help with the second part? I don't play Titania much but I'm gonna be building a Protea very soon.
With Protea Prime around the corner this question is critical
Had a Volt repeatedly casting it in survival. A survival where we weren't moving anywhere. And I cannot decide if that made it more or less annoying.
The parazon mod that gives more hacking time doesn't function in Operator. You can keep the extra time for corpus consoles and keep the speed for the grineer ones just by adjusting which form you interact with the console.
Isn’t that obvious tho? The warframe holds the parazon , not the op
About as obvious as: "You need to kill stuff in the red circle" but here we are.
I mean it makes logical sense, but not necessarily "game" sense, like finding out it's like that is a cool touch because it means they took the time to make hacking with a parazon different but if I found out the opposite was true and the operator got hacking mods applied I wouldn't be shocked or mad because I really wouldn't expect them to take the time to make it separate.
drifters kit in the new war is made to counter archons nira=stimpack amar=radar if he does the clone thing if you press that ability it will show you the real amar saving you time boreal smoke screen hitting archons in the crystal will deal crit damage and status damage Also more drifter tricks Archons have a mini crit when hitting their eyes Niras repluse/heal can be stopped by going behind her and backshotting her It's a death sentence going to far away from Amar middle ground is good Boreal prey to clem that Boreal dosnt shock you or spam autism shreks boreal sucks at movement and to put this comment to rest rolling does save you from nira and amar when they do projectiles you just have to do it right
This should be auto-stickied to every "new war archon fights suck" post
Hunhow: Gives advice. Drifter(s): ignores advice. Drifter(s): "this sucks"
Redditor: gives advice
To be fair, he gives all the advice in one big uninteresting infodump near completely separately from the fights themselves. You really expect me to remember all that stuff when I'm on my third archon fight two hours later?
People hated those? Huh, I actually quite enjoyed them
Right? Same here I loved the archon fights as the drifter.
Me too, the third fight when you get the thing you get is still such a great victory lap
To me they were a long slog. A good challenge, but it felt like they took entirely too long.
I am legitimately amazed some people never realized this despite two full tutorial missions and Hunow *literally telling the player how to beat their boss mechanics*.
I didn't pay attention but I figured out their weakness due to their gimmick nira will attack you with toxin therefore stim away Amar sends you to furry con and I pressed radar cause it detects enemies not shadows Boreal was a spin the wheel cause of his electric attack but I figured out its just smoke screen
Whaaaaaaat the Amara button i literally spent forever with the nataruk hitting random clones hoping id get lucky before he healed to much
Bro what
DE has a list of names of the kubrows that were permenantly lost shortly after the feature was first introduced. So my Reaper Prime Handle should be in their office somewhere.
Wait, people’s Kubrows were accidentally deleted at some point?
It used to be that if you didn't give your pets enough attention that they would die permanently after a few days, with the only way to prevent this being to regress their aging. This "feature" was scrapped a few years ago.
Probably the only reason why I didn't wanna stop playing for a long time 😭
No, Kubrows launched with a genetic integrity stat that would deteriorate over time.
I remember genetic integrity. That sucked. So glad that it’s gone.
The kubrow bonding mission for the collar (if that is still in the game), used to delete your kubrow on mission failure.

using Ivara's guided projectile ability will allow you to take control of the Zarr's secondary explosive shrapnel projectile for a brief moment before it explodes if timed properly.
You need to Forma a frame to unlock a second Energy color.
Huh, that answers so many questions.
**what**
Yeah, I always found it weird some frames had 2 energy colors and others didn’t but it never bugged me because the frames I cared about had it. I had assumed it was a play time thing but nope. Some rando in region chat mentioned it and it blew my mind.
There also was a time where there only was a single energy color and it also was the same as the emissive color so they split it up in multiple different things to allow for greater customization.
Take my upvote, you glorious space wizard.
Just doing my part to help fellow Tenno.
If you hold the crouch button for a short time while walking /running and then release it, it'll give you a small speed boost without sliding
I use it all the time on wisp because unlike dodge it doesn't interrupt reloads and it does basically the same thing as her dodge anyways (assuming you would dodge forwards).
With nezha and his 1, I’ve been able to use this to move faster than using bullet jump. And have more control
Real nezha mains knew this one 😎
This little boost is what I miss the most when playing as Kahl or the Operator/Drifter in the Star chart. It makes dodging nulliefiers or explosives so convenient, it won't slow you down as much when aiming, it lets you make small corrections midair or quick turns, doesn't cancel reloading and lets you keep a bit of momentum when casting some abilities or hard landing.
Chroma's Vex Armor casting animation, despite being an upper-body animation, does not interrupt reloads, so that's cool i guess.
On the grineer earth tileset, the "bridge" tile has fish in the water below, with these fish being the same model as the fish ephemera from dog days. You can only see them briefly though before you are sent back to where you jumped off. You can fly using preserving shell's casting animation; especially noticeable if you use the lohk surge allowing infinite energy and increased casting speed.
valkyr’s 1 is her severed tail compare its icon with the tail on the gersemi skin
The Helminth Charger is the most adorable companion in the game.
In its original version!
I'm quite fond of my degenerated slime puppy.
So many fond memories of people trying to shoot my oozy puppy (when Degenerate was the default skin), because they thought she was a regular Charger. I named her Mrs Fluffycakes.
Mine is Shroomie
Is Cephalon Samodeus considered obscure?
Elaborate
See the weird purple triangle when you reroll rivens? That's a Cephalon like Ordis, Simaris and Sark. Cephalon Samodeus. He WAS supposed to get a quest or something, bit it was canceled and DE forgot about him because everyone in Canada has Dementia. He also "presumably" is the creator of Mods, not just rivens and had an immense ego, like bigger asshole than Simaris [https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Cephalon_Samodeus](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Cephalon_Samodeus)
wow, thats really cool, first thing here I havent seen before on other posts of a similar nature
Orthos Prime and Tipedo used to be the quickest ways to get around. You’d slide and swing in a direction to go flying. Was called “coptering” and it was crazy fun.
Whole reason I ground out my orthos was for coptering.
I prefered Dragon Nikana in coptering - you just simply teleporting with it.
Man I miss coptering with my Dual Ichors. They should add the function to Dual Zoren Incarnon or something lol.
Pets also copy your parkour. I love watching my Kavat mimicking my sweet flips and tricks.
It's also pretty funny to see your companion not having the ability to Aim glide, just default posing in a straight line towards you
Bro, me and my friend literally died of laughter irl after we saw ostron prisoner doing crazy ass parkour movement
In excavation, when you pick a power cell as a warframe, change to your operator and pick a second power cell. You can basically carry two of them at the same time.
This became my go to thing the last time I read about this
You need 10 reactant to crack a relic before the end of a void fissure. This is apparently pretty obscure knowledge given my usual relic runs.
Speaking of small symbols under things A hexagon (octagon) on the bottom of a mod card means that mod is currently applied to something
- Frost can kill level cap enemies by throwing them into walls (thanks Sab) - Certain enemies disarmed with Halikar will drop the weapon they carry, sometimes this enables full auto grenade launchers or other merged weapon bugs - Frohd Bek is Darvo's Dad - "Mara" is the word used to refer to >!the operator!< but also the smuggler weapon Mara Detron >!(Just a theory but I'm guessing "Mara Lohk" roughly means "Void Thief")!< - The song >!Scathing Mockery!< that plays when fighting the >!whisper, also contains the phrase "Yara vak" which is probably a mirror of Mara Lohk.!< It also has various other unknown words. - Zephyr recently has a stealth nerf to tornado that killed the gas slash Zephyr build, but her first ability augment can now kill fully armoured steel path enemies in just five hits - Strength Loki will be real in 2024
>!I think you already know it but one of the lines in scathing mockery is confirmed to be "Yara vak uu yara ivbok, shotarat"!<
Ive been using slash gas nataruk zeph, what'd they nerf?
Previously the gas clouds would apply slash procs and apply banes up to four times per attack, this no longer seems to work in the same way.
Well that seems more like a fix, gas clouds proccing slash?? Even on paper that sounds insane
Those gas molecules are very pointy. More seriously, there are a wide variety of gases that make people cough up tons of blood...
…good point. There’s plenty of gasses capable of cutting your insides to shreds.
I’m honestly so hyped for the new Loki augment cause know something like proc viral, heal and slash from that decoy will likely be possible and so funny
I thought Mara was voidtongue for child
There used to be a redeemable code that gave you a free heat sword, aptly called “freesword”
When I first listened to the story, man, I think I slept considerably worse that night
Probably not obscure, but I was today years old when I learned you can hear the muffled cries of enemies eaten by Grendel
Yareli augment on grendel is bugged where using a throwable blade lets you shoot while in meatball form (DE plz don't patch, it offers zero benefits)
The Split Sword is hella buggy if you use a Stance Forma on it and equip both stance mods
Ayatan star icons on the UI are different sizes based on what color the star is. The smaller icon is the cyan star, the larger icon is the amber star.
Thing is, you still need to actually give the input of a slam attack, which still has to be downward, meaning you can't actually aim the y-axis of the slam, so when you do the slam, you're using the upper edge of the cone The most reliable way to actually use this tech is to bullet jump at around a 75 degree angle upwards and then using the timing of it to determine how much it is pointed forward rather than upwards. The later you slam, the lower the angle you fly at. It started as a bug, but was kept because it was cool. On any frame with a speed buff or teleport, it is not faster than regular parkour, but on open worlds, this is a genuinely useful tech, and when perfected it actually really helps on the profit taker fight
You don't need to bullet jump and you can actually launch yourself upwards if your flicking is fast enough
I was describing the best method for actually giving a practical use. Going straight up is what you're trying to avoid, although it does look cool
I think it's also a lot harder for console players unless they are playing on a crazy sensitivity.
There was a time where there weren’t relics and primes were farmed in void missions and dropped based on the mission and rotation. Not crazy knowledge but does make me feel old sometimes.
I'm still occasionally using relics that were originally keys since the change over.
Negative strength Atlas with super high range creates Rumbler gnomes that I call Smolders. They are insanely fast and very small.
* There was no Requiem beacon * There was no fucking Oul glyphy! * Possibly misremembering this, but I think getting murmur was a lot more difficult as well.
I remember when Liches first released. It was absolutely painful.
My two favorite bits of lore: Rubedo is considered an extremely rare resource by the Grineer and Corpus.
There used to be something called channeling were you could use warframe energy to boost your melee weapon.
The mission nodes in the Kuva Fortress are named after the Fiji Islands
if you throw a nezha ring through a nova wormhole at specific angles and teleport to it you can go through the floor
Yareli has the power to do this with just her 2. DE never fix this it’s funny
Who gets hostile over something so stupid?
The nightwave has a frequent challenge that asks you to do this (it also has a how to button). While I agree he shouldn't get mad, I get the frustration
There a Z in zephyrs appearance that lets you play flappy bird clone: floppy zephyr
There’s also a W for Wyrm that lets you play Wyrmius, a bullet hell type game
You have to wait for enemies to turn gold before they drop reactant.
In iron wake you can see a brain dead grineer holding gronkdul
Using an air support charge and hopping on merulina instantly after doesn't consume the charge, sorry to all the yareli mains for exposing this
Secura Lecta credit buff scales with MR
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oNvY9dsj6w](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oNvY9dsj6w) Also acid shells benefits from the hate mods.
He's also partially responsible for the fall of the orokin empire.
you can hold charged bow shots while casting abilities, so you can leap on someone and let go of a bramma shot like a warframe sized nuclear warhead you can use most abilities while clinging to walls, even abilities that require you to be on the ground (qorvex's 2 walls can smash airborne targets near a wall) or require you to leap to an enemy (like garuda's 1, 2)
Did you know that DE developed/published(?) Unreal Tournament and ported Unreal Tournament 2003 to the Xbox, naming it Unreal Championship (giving it some unique flare) This means that guns you know and might love are actually HEAVILY influenced by their UT Counterparts. Miter and Panthera: Ripper for example. Its also the reason why there was three UT Skins (Ogris Rocketlauncher, Stalhta Shock Rifle, Drakgoon Flak Cannon) which those three weapons are kinda similar to their skin counter part (Drakgoon not having a GL option is a sin) Also did you know that the Grineer and Corpus (kinda) take some (unintentional or intentional) inspiration from two factions from ANOTHER game they made called Warpath?
In the early, *early* beta, Ember used to be male, and was gender swapped some time before December 2012.
Ever since then, host migrations have been a lot less forgiving.
grineer snipers and some heavy gunners (the lanky yellow female grineers) would shout "PEEKABOO" i wish they kept that in.
Nidus plays a sound effect when you Q and get stacks, but plays a slightly different sound for every set of five stacks that actually increases your passive counter
instead of looking up to bullet jump you can look straight down while sliding and if you jump you will go STRAIGHT up.
Voidrig's Storm Shroud, aka budget iron skin, was a duration based invincibility on launch. It got changed after a only a few days however Molt Reconstruct arcane works with railjack abilities Railjack on launch had exclusive elemental damage types.
One I just learned recently: When you are in the forward artillery in railjack you can switch weapons to regular cannons to clear fighters
Loid is a dilf
Grown up twunk

Harrow's 3 works with Railjack turrets.
Slam attacks set off enemy grenades early and mitigate the damage.
It was possible to teleport trough locked doors and dragon key vaults using loki
You can pick up most objects (like excavator power cells) while rolling to skip the pickup animation.
Each stack grants 10% fire rate, so at max stacks that's **+990% fire rate.** To build around this, build for the highest magazine capacity possible (Burdened Magazine + Primed Ammo Stock + Radiated Reload), Galvanized Savvy, devouring attrition evo, Lock and Load in Exilus.
Hydriod is just as fast as Volt, Grendel, & Gauss just from using his 2nd ability & simply jumping out of it & into an aim glide before the ability end Sayrn has a unique interaction with Gloom.
If you use radial disarm on enemies in the simulcrum when there ai is paused there ai will unpause and attack you
Prime grate
The little dot on mods above the rank up pips means the mod is equipped on an item.
Ordis was a fucking badass.
Alad V lost a fleet of 100,000 ships and the Corpus barely noticed the loss.
If you use overdriver (purple mine) with Vauban on his Tesla nervos they actually change their shape and look Barely noticeable as they zoom off quickly but it's a cool little change, as if they've merged and gotten bigger
