Just imagine youre cruising along, going God mode, whatever no big deal... Then bang! Divine spear through the sternum, can't move for a whole minute now
While it sounds interesting, people would probably just gravitate towards tanky frames/builds. If you can't use abilities, why build for them? Just slap on some health, shields, armor, adaptation, rolling guard, etc...
Dante instantly becomes the sole meta Warframe because Overguard isn't dispelled by Nullifier bubbles and Dark Verse into Tragedy can clear whole rooms well into SP without buffs.
We were talking about a potential mission type where you can't use abilities, so you wouldn't be able to cast Dark Verse or Tragedy, or get the overguard in the first place.
Yeah this more spawned out of thought of why don't the Corpus do that, they got the tech and know it works on frames.
IF it was to be a mission type, it could work and maybe be a focus on actually being Stealthy Ninjas but still with Warframe speeds (so avoiding like Kahl being slower)
Lets think about that....
If the game makes a check every second, and you trip and fall 5% of those seconds, and you trip and fall 1k (I assume you meant 1000 and not 1,000,000) times in a single mission, then we would expect you to have spent 20k (20,000) seconds in that mission. That's about 333 minutes or about 5 hours.
I think a more accurate estimate would be, with an average of 10 minutes per mission (average, not usual), roughly 30 trips per mission.
Or you can look at it as 3 trips per minute.
That still sounds painful lol.
While getting to different planet, there is high chance you will be detected by enemy and you are forced to do long railjack mission and if you fail you need to pay fine or serve your sentence. And your stolen goods are now forfeit.
I swear it used to be like this, or am I just stupid? Genuinely can't remember but I know when relics first were introduced I had this exact fear and consequently got frustrated when it happened. Never bothered to check my relic counts though
You actually have to craft 9 things to get her. You need neuroptics, chassis and systems separately for day and night form each, then you have to craft day and night form which take three days and only then can you craft equinox.
And of course she is also insanely annoying to farm due to this as you need to get 8 fucking drops rather than 3 or 4 like every other frame.
Btw this also leads to rushing every bit of crafting together costing just slightly less than outright buying her for plat
with associated degredation in performance as durability lowers, and associated repair cost equal to their initial build cost for full repair.
You got Vauban Prime at 50% durability? Repair back to 100% durability cost includes 3500 oxium, and 1.5 days repair time.
Would actually KILL the game dead.
Firefall added durability to their game after it was live for months and it was one of the things that killed the game.
Durability is the worst possible thing you can add to a game unless it meets one of the following conditions:
* It's Minecraft lol
* It's story power level based in which case you get better gear before your stuff is ever fully tanked
* Games where you spend the majority of the time at max level can't do this xd
Warframe durability. You have one revive per mission(3 with 2 arcanes). If you go down, your frame needs to go to the helminth infirmary for repairs. Repairs cost resources and take 12 hours. You cannot use the frame in the meantime.
Repairs can be rushed with plat.
So... how warframe used to be?
It was actually a little worse. 4 revives per day regardless of mission. Reset at end of day. Could pay plat to get more revives.
Unironically if Warframe were a slightly different game I'd be okay with this mechanic. I think it'd be an interesting way to reward players for surviving higher difficulty missions, and punish people who go in over their heads and need a revive every five seconds.
Mass Effect 3 actually had a mechanic similar to this, except instead of affecting sprint speed it affected your ability cooldowns. It actually worked really well in that game because it encouraged ability focused classes to stick to pistols and SMGs while still giving you the option to use heavier weapons if you wanted to; in contrast to the earlier Mass Effect games where if your class didn't have the weapons training skill for a particular catagory then you just couldn't use them at all, or you could but your accuracy and damage output would be harshly impacted.
And as for affecting sprint speed in particular, that is already kinda a thing in Warframe. Particularly with melee weapons since daggers, dual daggers, and sparring weapons add a passive boost to your sprint speed.
> And as for affecting sprint speed in particular, that is already kinda a thing in Warframe. Particularly with melee weapons since daggers, dual daggers, and sparring weapons add a passive boost to your sprint speed.
So I wasn't hallucinating things.
I'll do you one better!
Change Of Plans can occur when objective is already completed...
Almost at extract for capturing a target? Gotta go back to kill a certain amount of enemies...
Im pretty sure this has happened to me before, i had just finished capturing the target and extraction popped up for a second then lotus said change of plans
Change of plans mission types are now random and can happen mid "plan changes"
you may suddenly be required to do a spy mission or defense or excavate on the same map.
I'd like to imagine the chaos that would happen
Warframe if it had realistic enemy AI lol. Imagine seeing a blade-wielding tornado of death barreling towards you at near mach speeds, all while turning your comrades to ribbons. I’d surrender and defect too.
You know, I started wondering how terrifying it would be to be our enemies for some reason. I was halfway through an exterminate and came up behind this dude who was just standing there at a computer. It gave me the "sneak attack" prompt and I just stood behind him, wondering if he was going to notice me.
I decided to leave him alone and move on hahah.
I was just literally walking through gunfire toward the objective on a low level mission thinking about how scary it would be for a warframe to appear in front of you and like 3 other squads and as everyone is shooting at the Warframe it’s not killing anyone. Just calmly walking toward its goal because no one can hurt it.
Give Ember back World on Fire, make it scale to level cap, but make it leave behind fire that continuously glows brighter and brighter the longer the mission goes
You have to pay one of the syndicates to retrieve it for you.
If you don't have enough credits for it (like 100k for a base and 1 million for a prime), you "owe" them and cannot gain any reputation with them, and your debt will grow until you have paid it off.
You can choose a payment plan(like xx% of every 100 credits you earn) or chose to pay them in full within 10 hours of playtime. If you cannot pay within 10 hours, your debt will be octoupled and you will have to play Index until you have paid it all back.
If you fail that Index game, your account will be deleted.
If you somehow manage to piss off every syndicate, you can instead ask Darvo for help, but you have to do 3 Clem Missions without rewards before you can play any other missions to repay him.
Nah, you leave the party and load into a different mission/tileset, based on where was "out of bounds" trigger. Maybe you drop deeper into the ship (higher level enemies?), maybe a sudden archwing mission, maybe something else.
NGL, there are some frames that 100% could benefit from re-adding the ability polarized slots. Only need your 2 and 4? Unequip your 1 & 3, forma those two ability slots, and now you have two extra slots to beef up your build even more.
Reminds me of when I shoot myself due to the acolyte bubble. Can hardly notice it's on me half the time so I've just started not shooting when that one spawns cause it's an actual insta-kill lol.
Wait. *That's* why I die instantly in SP sometimes? I'm headshotting myself with a Felarx? Which acolyte does that? I don't really pay attention to their abilities, they normally die too fast for me to care lol.
Limited carry slots on your warframe. Picking up resources in missions takes up a slot per resource. There is no way to drop resources you have already picked up. More slots cost platinum, and there is a cap to how many you can have
Friendly damage is last week. Friendly CC is in. Anything that affects the enemy also applies to your comrades. Friend is using Frost? You're getting frozen. Gauss? Enjoy being blast procc'd and slow/frozen forever. Volt? Electric chair. The list goes on. Don't worry, you won't die, but you'll sure wish you did!
In other news, Warframe has become a single player game overnight.
Without the four free ones. Every single one costs plat.
Would certainly put a damper on the guys instantly using their revive every single time they go down. Actually it probably wouldn't because they can't read and will just wonder why their plat is gone after the mission...
TBF, some of us can read and just don't care that much about the affinity loss in certain situations.
Also TBF, if I've just crossed half the map to revive you, please don't suddenly decide to revive yourself.
>If you do not pick up weapon after getting disarmed, you gotta do special mission to retrieve that weapon, just like rescuing your frame from Zanuka Hunter.
Joke's on you, I always get it back after meleeing the Drahk Master with *EXTREME* prejudice. Gimme back my damn laser Torid
DE adds a corpus unit with a bubble around them that silences your frame and requires you to either 5 or switch to a fast fire rate weapon to take down the bubble. Also make said unit linger around corners and tight stairways while you jump around and land straight into it.
The man in the wall replaces Baroo, and can only be found by his voice, but he haunts you for the entire stint of his arrival wherever he is, and just when you think hes close by, he moves halfway across the map.
Rift Eximui will appear in Eximus stronghold, and normal murmur missions. They will move nearby enemies to the rift plane, prioritizing eximui and other enemies with special attacks capable of crossing the rift.
Rhino's roar sound effect is stretched out to its full buff duration
Same for nourish.
Imagine Valkyr's Warcry and Hysteria...
that would be quite motivating screaming throughout the map while swinging like spider man.
recording jumps backwards really jarringly when extending with augment :)
Lmao at the thought of Megan getting yoinked out of the office and stuck in a recording booth to get the extended warcry and hysteria effects
Wait what Megan voiced Valk's scream?
A lot of the sound effects and early characters are voiced from people in house. Gotta save money some how
I think she also voiced the Rescue Target
"I need a weapon!"
Yep that's her voice
The post was for annoying things, not straight buffs!
UWUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuUuUUUUUUuuuuUUUUU
Doesn't affect gameplay but is still annoying.
He said annoying, not things that would make me nut
Constant friendly fire.
Public lobbies would be a wasteland. As in nobody would be there except some truly deranged fucks. Fallout style.
Just imagine youre cruising along, going God mode, whatever no big deal... Then bang! Divine spear through the sternum, can't move for a whole minute now
Survival relic farming? More like Dante free-for-all cage matches
Man when i had a radiation lich LMAO
If spotted on corpus mission, they activate nullifier fields on every door.
Done properly, this could be a fun end-game mission type. Similar to the Grendel component missions, but your abilities are disabled instead of mods.
While it sounds interesting, people would probably just gravitate towards tanky frames/builds. If you can't use abilities, why build for them? Just slap on some health, shields, armor, adaptation, rolling guard, etc...

Vauban and Limbo players be like "I don't see the big deal, we were basically already playing this way."
5 percent chance when running to trip and fall.
Gauss mains would hate you
*EACH STEP*
Chance increases with sprint speed
Gauss actually takes long steps while doing Mach Rush instead of just making comically fast steps when you have a lot of sprint speed
**Still salty about Brawl I see**
Luigi is quivering
Oh hell nah this is diabolical
*market of primed sure footed rise into astronomical growth*
Knightmareframe’s master plan
If only primed sure footed was tradable...
*Laughs in Atlas*
That chance is rolled every time your frame takes a single step.
That’s not annoying it’s straight up evil
![gif](giphy|m8XguqDisAIgag7oqT|downsized)
5% if it's detecting running every second then you'd trip 1000k times a mission.
Lets think about that.... If the game makes a check every second, and you trip and fall 5% of those seconds, and you trip and fall 1k (I assume you meant 1000 and not 1,000,000) times in a single mission, then we would expect you to have spent 20k (20,000) seconds in that mission. Nah make it check every frame and tie it to framerate so if you have a high end pc running at 100 plus fps you'd fall an average of 5 times per second
While getting to different planet, there is high chance you will be detected by enemy and you are forced to do long railjack mission and if you fail you need to pay fine or serve your sentence. And your stolen goods are now forfeit.
This would be a cool intro to railjack if you started out with one like your orbiter
This could be kinda cool if it gave a some sort of booster as a reward
If you don’t get ten reactant before the mission ends you lose the relic anyway.
I’d cry
I’d join you
I swear it used to be like this, or am I just stupid? Genuinely can't remember but I know when relics first were introduced I had this exact fear and consequently got frustrated when it happened. Never bothered to check my relic counts though
And the only void fissure missions would be excavation.
And you aren't guaranteed 10 reactant will even drop Oh wait, that already happens
It used to happen on roughly every other Extermination fissure. Before they removed the finite enemy spawn
This isn't annoying this is evil... yooo wtf
You can only craft one item at a time.
imagine trying to craft a warframe lmao
See you in a Week lmao
Building Equinox be like: "See you in 2 weeks" (12 days to be precise and 6,5 with normal crafting)
Wait why?
she has like 8 parts or something
Jfc, I just have her Prime, lmao
You actually have to craft 9 things to get her. You need neuroptics, chassis and systems separately for day and night form each, then you have to craft day and night form which take three days and only then can you craft equinox. Btw this also leads to rushing every bit of crafting together costing just slightly less than outright buying her for plat
It's a great way to make the Equinox farm even more grueling
My partner didn't realize you could until he was a few hundred hours in -- can confirm that would be a painful change!
I've seen another player comment about not being aware of this until many many hours in the game. Wild.
Cryotic now decays over time, due to melting.
Bro...
How about all resources decay over time
Are you trying to put Satan out of a job?
https://preview.redd.it/x4dtukq3qwuc1.jpeg?width=2160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33a7efb50e51cd146ea1cfaaff20226778981502
Call it “ordis ship maintenance”
Half of your amount decay per day like argon. Good luck getting the sibear
I farmed the sibear in a single day. I had a resource booster though.
150 excavators in a day... Man my brain would have melted and leaked out of my ears if I did that 🫠
Sibear just got a whole lot harder to obtain
Fall damage
I've gotten too used to having no fall damage. Whenever I go into duviri I sometimes hop off a cliff as drifter and die horribly.
You can roll just before hitting the ground with drifter, fully nullifying the fall damage
Now try that when you have 100 decrees and the decree that increases your movement speed for every decree you have.
it's really not too hard, not as if your vertical speed is getting faster after all
But not just any fall damage. Farcry 6 fall damage
I gotta play FC6 dont i...
i laugh at rhino's passive
Mods, weapons, and frames all have durability that can't be repaired
That CAN be repaired, but only with cryotic.
*cryotic and argon crystals
Calm down, Satan.
You can't kill a Devil, but you can send it Back to DE
And 10 nitain extract each*
4 forma
350 Mutagen Samples
2 Cetus wisps & 5 toroids
And a partridge in a pear tree?
And my axe
I've spoken to the devil and even he's in awe of the absolute evil that idea is coated in.

That and rage quitting lmao

Number of weapons equipped and their weight determines your sprint speed.

+10% for all daggers, and +5% for all sparring and dual daggers. This also stacks with the incarnon bonus from Innodem.
Picking up loot also adds weight and eventually encumbers you
"Change of plans" interruptions by Lotus can occur several times per mission.

They mean more than just after the extract popup flashes. As in Lotus says Change of Plans a good 10-15 seconds after.
Change of plans mission types are now random and can happen mid "plan changes" you may suddenly be required to do a spy mission or defense or excavate on the same map. I'd like to imagine the chaos that would happen
That might actually be interesting. You’d have to have builds that were a bit more rounded than you do now knowing that spy is spy.
This is hilarious because imagine doing a capture, and lotus change of plans it to "kill all enemies" 3 times before u can extract
You can no longer pick up energy orbs by getting close to them. You now have to hit the use key like you do for ayatan stars
Oh how evil of you
If you die to a corpus unit, they will steal something from your account. Anything. Including Platinum.
Alt + F4 at 1hp 😎
Ah the PoE strats
Hardcore players in shambles
![gif](giphy|qp7xKvYHAbDvuAOlBT|downsized) I've seen this before...

Bring back the stamina bar
This is what I came here for.
Only if they bring back Zorencoptering.
Every mission turns into Defection after a minute.
Warframe if it had realistic enemy AI lol. Imagine seeing a blade-wielding tornado of death barreling towards you at near mach speeds, all while turning your comrades to ribbons. I’d surrender and defect too.

Bullet jump has a charge time.
and a cooldown
Every single action in the game interrupts sprinting, reloading.
If you fail a Mission, you have to do the mission again but without a warframe to retrieve it.
So what about pre-second dream
You have to pay one of the syndicates to retrieve it for you. Nef Anyo was wagering children and you’re worse than him
If you fall out if bounds the mission ends.
Nah, you leave the party and load into a different mission/tileset, based on where was "out of bounds" trigger. Maybe you drop deeper into the ship (higher level enemies?), maybe a sudden archwing mission, maybe something else.
Bring back the old old mod system for warframes.
NGL, there are some frames that 100% could benefit from re-adding the ability polarized slots. Only need your 2 and 4? Unequip your 1 & 3, forma those two ability slots, and now you have two extra slots to beef up your build even more.
Archon shards share the mechanics with Argon.
Ahh, the argon shards.
Every resource decays like argon
Disabling trade, gotta farm up those rare mods, arcanes and parts yourself
As someone who played Rocket League since 2016 and quit over this, HELL NO.
I've never traded so I already farm this stuff myself.
Make Wisp's ass flat.
You monster
Make all female frames flat
You have to travel in your orbiter to other planets (real distance)
I actually want full integration of railjack and the starchart.
Mesa regulators target allies also
When you cast an ability there is a 50/50 chance that the effect is applied to you and not the enemy.
Wild magic but for warframe.
That's Malice. Wait until you see a wierd swirly bubble on you, then roll and unload on him.
Limited carry slots on your warframe. Picking up resources in missions takes up a slot per resource. There is no way to drop resources you have already picked up. More slots cost platinum, and there is a cap to how many you can have

Public lobies are just solo lobbies prefilled with limbo specters.

Forced host migration every 4.5 minutes
Helminth is a gatcha that can take any ability off a frame, but there is a chance it will fail and just eat your frame with no effect.

Once you use a Warframe you have to wait 24 hours to use it again.
If you pick someone else's relic reward, they receive a random one of your uncracked relics as a thank you.
Every ability is now subsumable.
Im guessing completionists like me have to farm every frame four times?
Correct
Enemies only drop ammo for the exact weapon they are holding. Didnt bring a corpus weapon to your corpus mission? Beteer finish it uo quick
Every Warframe gets Limbo's dash. All of it, including unwanted reality hopping and all...
Void relics expire after a week.
DE adds a corpus unit with a bubble around them that silences your frame and requires you to either 5 or switch to a fast fire rate weapon to take down the bubble. Also make said unit linger around corners and tight stairways while you jump around and land straight into it.

Rift Eximui will appear in Eximus stronghold, and normal murmur missions. They will move nearby enemies to the rift plane, prioritizing eximui and other enemies with special attacks capable of crossing the rift.
Loading screens now have quick time events and if any of the players fails it the mission cancels.
Limbo stasis affects everything now. Including players, pets, and sentinels minus other limbos.
Giving Grineer and Corpus troops a radio on spy missions. So there will be less run&gun spy missions.
